Moa, Jihyun, and Chanelle looked up from their laptops.

“How about opening your eyes Yunah? We’re not gonna get anything done with you sleeping all the damn time” Jihyun fired back, slapping a stack of paper into Yunah’s face.

“Ow! I wasn’t sleeping okay? I was resting my vision”

“You’re unbelievable. And Bang Jeemin, if you don’t stop staring at Y/n, I’m gonna stab these crayons in your eyes so you don’t have to ever see her again!”

Jeemin jumped at the threat and began typing away. “I’m sorry. She just looks really pretty”

“You say that every single time. She looks the same!” Jihyun exclaimed as all heads turned to your group’s table in the classroom.

Although Jeemin did find the other girls pretty, you caught her eye (and heart) easily the day you were introduced as the new student. Being Funa’s cousin, you fitted in and became very well liked by the entire school.

You turned your head and caught the girl’s eyes just before she averted her attention back to her laptop like nothing happened.

Minju smirked at Funa and played along. “We should invite Jihyun’s group too. The more the merrier right Moka?”

The Japanese girl smiled cheekily. “Yeah so I can see Chanelle”

“Wait we’re gonna invite them? Oh my god, I need to shop for a new outfit. What’s Jeemin’s favourite colour? Sky blue right? Oh god oh god” You rambled and opened the Pinterest app on your phone for some inspiration.

The girls high fived each other before Funa stood up and walked over to Jihyun’s group. “Hey there”

All were surprised to see the pretty Japanese girl smiling at them. Moa felt her face go red.

“H-Hey Funa. What’s up?”

“Just wanted to ask if you were all free tonight?”

“We’re actually studying tonight—OW!” Chanelle hissed as Moa kicked her under the table.

“Yes we’re free. Why do you ask?” The Thai student chuckled shyly.

“The girls and I are planning to go to the fair. Some extra company would be great” Funa put on her best flirtatious tone and effortless wink towards Moa.

The group watched Funa walk away before sending a glare towards their Thai member.

Moa looked towards Jeemin cautiously, seeing that she was daydreaming again. Typical.

“What’s your plan?” Moa sighed.

“Y/n and Jeemin are the biggest cowards I’ve seen in my life. I can only think of one way to try and get them to finally be together”

“And that is?”

“Daring them to fake date. Now I know it sounds a bit childish but I’m sure it’ll get one to finally say something”

The Thai student massaged her temple. “If I didn’t like you so much, I would’ve found this idea silly. But I’ll trust your word on this”

“Did you just say you like me?”

“ANYWAYS how are we starting this plan of yours?”

“Make some space at your table. We’ll join you in a bit”

“Alright” Moa quickly responded and ended the call. “Scoot over everyone”

The group blinked with confusion but moved anyways as Funa’s group took their belongings and slid into the empty chairs across Jihyun’s table.

“Hi!” Minju waved directly at Jihyun.

“H-Hi?”

“Hope you don’t mind us joining. We need some inspiration for this project” Minju smiled sweetly that got Jihyun running laps.

“And also to talk about the plan tonight. I’m very happy you’re all coming with us” Jiwoo said, eyeing Yunah a bit longer than usual.

Yunah shifted in her seat uncomfortably.

“Hi Jeeminie” You waved at the taller girl.

“H-Hi Y/n! You look pretty”

You looked down at your uniform and giggled. “We’re all wearing the same clothes”

Jeemin’s heartbeat was ringing in her ears as she finally comprehended that her crush was kissing her. After tears, daydreaming, and staring, she finally got you, and there was no place she’d rather be than holding you close as you continued to share a romantic kiss.

“We did it!!” Funa screamed, coming out from behind the bushes with the other girls.

They all jumped around and cheered.

You pulled away from Jeemin’s lips and became shocked at seeing all your friends. “What are you all doing here?”

“We finally got you two together!” Jiwoo applauded.

“And it took a long time” Moa scoffed and wiped the fake sweat from her forehead.

“Wait, you all knew we liked each other?” Jeemin questioned while back hugging you.

“Duh! The whole world knew besides you two”

“So you’re welcome” Chanelle chuckled, holding Moka’s hand.

“Let’s go eat more food to celebrate!” Jihyun yelled and dragged Minju with her to the food trucks.

The other girls decided to follow, leaving you alone with Jeemin again. You faced her and leaned your head on her shoulder. “I love you Jeeminie”

She kissed your head and swayed you gently. “I love you too. You just made me the happiest woman alive”

She continued holding you in her warm embrace as the fireworks continued, leaving it as the best night of your life.

Hello again, I'm the same anon that asked if you used Sailor Moon as inspiration! I have two more questions this time; when did you first come up with the idea for Lettie and her story? And are there any other magical girl shows or other media in general that inspired your work?

hi again!

1. Lettie is a character I’ve had for a long while but the current version of her design and story has been at least 3-ish years in development. I think as I grew up and get back into my interest with magical girls now as an adult, I made her a lot more whimsical and princessy (which also reflects my own personal fashion style becoming more whimsy). Her story is three installments titled Mourning Star, Mourning Glory, and Mourning Dove. MS is especially inspired by the Homeric Hymn to Demeter, following her descent to the infernal dimension to claim as her new home. The trilogy also centers the triple moon, each story represents the maiden, the mother, and the crone.

2. As far as other magical girl series Ive been inspired by, there’s also madoka magica, princess tutu, cardcaptor sakura, and revolutionary girl utena. I would also say that bayonetta and zelda are also major influences to my art direction, as well as the stories having a lot of time/interdimensional travel plotlines.

previous recent long ask anon (lol)... oh yeah, the youngest sibling vibe was strong! That's why I like fail safe so much, it perfectly captured those small moments and hard to verbalize feelings that come with growing up with siblings, especially being the youngest one yourself.

I'm the youngest of three AND the only girl, so the namjoon + yoongi combo hit hard cause the dynamic is so eerily similar to my own life. One of my brothers is protective but in a tender and sweet way, with the occasional teasing (like namjoon) and my other brother has always been very very protective but in a tough love kinda a way, could be very harsh, mean and insensitive about the way he went about things with me (yoongi 😑😑😑😑). first of all the conversation between oc and her mom made me cry so hard- it hit home for me, as a girlie with mommy issues, that part felt so real to me. Oc's courage to stand up for herself like that and tell her how much she hurt her own daughter is something i dont have in me. It broke my fucking heart, that yearning feeling, i cant believe you put that specific feeling into words rid [are u part of the mommy issues community as well🧐 or are u just that amazing, a true fucking artist (i saw that anon calling you the beyonce of ff and i agree 100%)] idk how to describe my feelings rn, that part definitely left a mark in my heart, ill never forget it

second the domesticity in these two dorks oh my goddddd they're driving me crazy, theyre so cute and in love and im in love with them and i want to cry bc i want what they have but bc irl men suck the hopeless romantic in me is gonna have to live through fanfics for the rest of my life and that makes me fucking miserable but bless the fanfic gods like you that keep my soul alive, idk what id do without you

River really was The Character™ who started it all, and the Moffat Era TRULY was a formative influence on me in ways I will never fully be able to explain--in terms of how I look at stories, yes, but also just on a visceral emotional level. It was the first thing I ever wrote fanfiction for. River was the first cosplay I ever did, (and really the first character I ever had a significant personal connection to). The very few non-parody pieces of music I've created have been Moffat-Era-inspired. So it makes me so, so incredibly glad to find people loving and understanding all of this too.

But, with that being said, I didn't have any specific plots in mind when I sat down and wrote "Speak Now (Or Forever Hold Your Peace)", "Not Fucking Leaving (When You’re With Me)", or "No Time For Regret (No Time For Sleep)" either, and those fics literally materialized out of nowhere.

Hi, I love your magical girl oc and her lore/story so far! Do you take inspiration from Sailor Moon? cuz y'know moon theme, reincarnations, pink haired magical girl from the future relating to the protagonist appears in the present, and the Glorious Nocturne form also reminds me a lot of Princess Serenity. I was just curious if you did that on purpose or if I'm just seeing things cuz Sailor Moon is rotting my brain ^^;

Yes actually, a lot of my creative project around Lettie is Sailor Moon inspired! Ofc I have a whole collage of inspirations for this story but Sailor Moon has always been a big special interest of mine and a large part of my personal identity as a queer fem autistic person.

My story is more cosmic horror and dark fantasy centric, putting emphasis on the fear of the unknown especially how it relates to space and demons. There’s something about SM’s whimsical form of storytelling even when dealing with darker territory that’s always inspired me. So my goal was to push it further and flip the themes and aesthetics on its head, even giving it a more mature theme in relation to being a young adult navigating the world for the first time!

Instead of the holy light of the moon that guides the path of love and justice, it’s the sheltering darkness of the new moon that brings a new beginning of love and joy. That in which is unknown *becomes* known through the power of love and understanding.

anyway thank u anon for the question, I always love and appreciate when ppl ask about my project. it motivates me to continue working on it and put it out as a graphic novel series someday 🩷
