Most definitely! Carmela is a gourmand, so she prides herself on having a tongue that can appreciate all flavors. This especially includes sweets, even if she does prefer savory things. Her favorite kind of sweets are those in the cake family, especially the complex ones. She likes fruity, summer cakes most.

Explicitly! In fact, it's a known trick to put the President in a better mood right before asking a favor. If unleashed onto a buffet, she almost always B-lines for the dessert line. Her favorite desserts are also cakes, specifically ones that use strawberries. She likes bar cakes most as their "smaller" size allows her to enjoy a wider variety before becoming full.

She'd rather watch someone enjoying a sweet than eat one herself, most of the time. As far as flavors go, she enjoys the mature bitterness of tea more, especially black teas. That being said, even Umbra has a favorite sweet: ice cream. Her favorite flavor are also tea flavors, since they're not too sweet if done right.

Sola, for one. I find her the most fascinating of the losers in charge and I even with the assorted tweets and medium articles I wish we had more. Dobreva and Abadanaiz, too, even just the bare minimum to get a feeling of them as people! The equivalent of what we have on Ukhotomsky would suffice, honestly.

What is your favourite piece of obscure Elysium lore?

Ion Rodionov, the whole entire man. What a guy. Also that one Seraise dude who in the middle of the last century predicted the return of communism in Mirova at the end of the last century. I would like to know why from a Seraise perspective it was considered a return.

Favourite piece of in-game art (graffiti, poetry etc.)?

She watches as others hoist him up on a pedestal, and they listen to the birdsong and they believe he's fine with it all. She doesn't hear the same thing they do. She hears a cry for help--someone or something to help shoulder his burdens. She doesn't know if she can be that, but she resolves to try to be, because he's human too and deserves that.

Ough. You have found my secret weakness. They all speak english, I guess. Avery was also probably made to learn latin as a child and Granny speaks a language that no one even knows existed anymore. Mary and Daniel speak a bit of italian for a reason I... haven't invented yet. Leon speaks german and uses it to swear when adults are around. Tara and Mikaela probably also speak another language but I couldn't tell you which one. Camilla doesn't speak another language, I think, but she has the worst british accent in the world for no reason (except that I think it's funny).

Special circumstances: Daniel could win inside and on dirt, Leon they could only touch if they were about to die (or if they used someone about to die as a cub?), Camilla they could defeat with gasoline. Actually Jamie should be there too, depending on how dark it is.

3. Honestly, it's probably some kind of romance/drama/comedy and the horror part is just there for fun.

4. If you're lucky, everyone bitches at each other for a bit and leaves again in the evening. On the other hand, there might be fights or full-on murder attempts which Jackson always has to be quick to diffuse before it gets completely out of control. No one has died, tough. ...not yet.

5. Well, where they're "originally" from, it's a power called the Vast. I mentioned it recently, it's the fear of storms, giant open spaces, heights, being insignificant, thalantassaphobia, stuff like that. I'm not sure how she got it's attention, probably because she has that mindset of "nothing really matters (anyone can see) so you might as well do what you like" that it's all about. I'd imagine it has to do with walking in a storm.

6. Jamie. He could shapeshift into a big cat and take care of them and he actually would. Plus he can share them with Daniel, who could absolutely use some kittens but could not take care of them. I might suddenly have one more when I get back, tough, so I would have to find out which is her.

1 - favorite character/s and why

I love The Arbiter from Halo and not just because he is very attractive, although that helps, I suppose. In the games, at least - I hear the novels don't tend to support my interpretation of him, sadly - he comes across as someone kind-hearted and loyal at his core. He and Master Chief unite toward a common goal initially, but their relationship becomes one of genuine fondness and deep respect and he even accompanies Master Chief into serious danger to try to save Cortana, which he has no obligation to do at all - but he isn't one to abandon a comrade!! He is full of Catholic guilt (Covenant guilt?) and is but a cog in a horrendous machine, poor fella. My knowledge of Halo lore indicates he was able to go on to do good things for the Sangheili outside of Covenant rule, and if I'm wrong then that's canon to me <3

All the characters I've mentioned so far have been guys, which is unfair, so I think I will talk about Roderika, who is probably the least spoken about Elden Ring NPC ever outside of, like, Nameless White Mask #2, which I find a real shame. I know she isn't one of the more lore-dense characters, but she's genuinely lovely. I mean, she gives you Aurelia, who is precious and my go-to Spirit Ash even if I know there are better ones out there (although I prefer that she just kinda... supports a bit instead of soloing bosses, to be honest?). I think her storyline, though simple, is really heartening and a rare treat in a game full of sad storylines. She has lost her home and all those dear to her, but finds her talent and a father figure and really grows into herself. She's seen horrors beyond her comprehension but she stays soft and sweet and even finds happiness in her new life, in the capacity she's given.

4 - favorite underrated band

Got to give a shout-out to Nasty Fishmonger which is a folk-punk group that consists of some very cool people I went to uni with!!! They are SO good live and have an album called "Band of Common Folk".

Also, I don't know most of their music but the EP by Shoe, "Giant Demonic Grub Seeks Shallow Swamp Can Pay $200 A Week" is a favourite of mine and nobody except to the friend who (inadvertently) showed it to me seems to have heard of it.

14 - favorite genres to read or watch?

I like reading non-fiction, mostly about natural sciences and history (nice and vague, I know). But basically, give me a book about fish or some shit and I am HAPPY. In terms of fiction, I read more or less anything. Magical realism and stuff that's a bit fantasy or a bit sci-fi is good, but really dense SFF I need to be in the mood for. I'm not a big romance person overall, but if I get invested in a romance storyline it really gives me brainworms.

In regards to your welcome home au suggestion thingy, I wanted to ask if Frank and Julie are still best friends in your au since they are very much that in canon. I love their friendship so much, but I haven't seen you draw much of them together, so I'm a little curious.

Thank you for the asks! And to be honest I don't think my Frank is much different from canon :00 the big change I made was his relationship with Julie and how their friendship even came to be.. I go into much more detail in this post- but to summarize!-

Frank and Julies friendship started out as rather one sided. Think SpongeBob and Squidward <XDD Julie was high energy and always huggy and bubbly and always finding new ways to annoy Frank XDD

Aside from being annoying, she was overflowing with kindness and interest in Franks opinions and hobbies. So he tolerated her craziness most of the time. Which led Julie to think "so you ARE my friend!! :DD"

But its at some point when Frank saw the true Julie.. as described in this post, that their friendship took a very real and unexpected turn.

Frank no longer saw her as this loud and crazy neighbor.. but he saw her as Julie. A woman with a heart of gold that just wanted to be normal..

That incident changed their friendship forever, in the absolute best way possible. Finally, she has someone she can be truly open with. And Frank now fully understands Julie and knows the real her..

From then on people would look at them and think "how can two polar opposite people be such good friends?" Its because their friendship is built on trust, and understanding..

I'm not sure if the OG welcome home has anything like this, but if not- this is how I've changed Frank! <XD

motion: How does your OC move? How does their clothing help or hinder their range of motion? Are they flexible, coordinated, clumsy?

i think bo used to move like. pretty awkwardly? just being a big, sometimes intimidating guy and not wanting to come across that way, so trying to make himself small and with gentle motions. since the library i think he moves with a lot more confidence and purpose. he's not clumsy but he's got big fingers so trying to do delicate tasks are hard for him

stillness: How does your OC act while still? Are they fidgety? Do they have any common gestures or tics? Does their clothing affect how they hold themselves while at rest?

i think bo usually keeps himself pretty small (as small as he can get) and does small fidgets, like messing with his hoodie string, or rubbing fabric between his fingers. but if you're not paying attention it looks like he's totally still

favorite: Does your OC have a favorite article of clothing or accessory? What is it? What's the meaning behind it? Do they wear it all the time or do they wear it sparingly to keep it safe?

bo isn't really a clothes guy but he likes Comfortable clothes so i think his favorite is a national park hoodie his boss gave him for his first completed stint at the park. it's just really good material and fits him very well and it smells like the woods

When playing it for the first time, did you go in blind or not? Is there anything you would want to change about your first playthrough?

I went in completely blind (had it down as 'potential masterpiece' since before the title change and never felt the urge to look up stuff) except for the occasional out of context comment from friends as a few of us liveblogged at once. Those mostly led me to think that the initial noise that woke him up marked the presence of some demonic entity à la The Arm in Twin Peaks. YMMV on whether the actual source of the noise qualifies as lynchian horror. It might!

I'd savescum less, but then again I was coming in hot from Heaven's Vault (which autosaves like it's trying to be the dark souls of chatty archaeology games) and I was drunk on this new, awesome power over my savestates XD

What would your own stats be?

Decent Conceptualization and Interfacing! Perception quintessentially aware of dogs at all times. Heard of Authority once and powerwalked the other way.
