All of Liyue was half lidded as the clock struck the dead of night. Not much could be heard, let alone seen. It was all so calm… so taken care of.

Xiao was not one to admit to sleep, he saw it as a weakness for mortals. Seeing as how they could be so helpless… so naive and unaware as they fell into unconsciousness. Yet whenever he was in your arms, feeling your hands gently caressing his skin as if he was the most delicate of glass, Xiao was so quick to fall into a deep slumber.

Both of your bodies were huddled into each other, Xiao’s arms coming around to hug your waist as you let yourself mold into his touch. The atmosphere was calm and comforting as you two managed to breathe in sync, bodies softly rising and descending.

It was all so perfect. Until Xiao woke up in a panicked state.

He immediately let go of you as he rushed out of the bed and into the connected bathroom, there he locked the door and sat on the floor. Xiao’s palms came up to cover his eyes, fingers gripping onto his hair. He wanted to scream. No- he needed to. All the memories from his past… being forced to kill and take countless lives of the innocent. They all came back so quickly.

There was blood. So much blood. It was everywhere. On his hands. On his face. On the dear Jaded spear he held so closely to his heart. The one used to kill.

“...Xiao?”

Xiao could feel his heart drop at your groggy and tired voice calling out his name from behind the door. He couldn’t let you see him like this… he couldn’t let himself get near you. He’s a murderer, always has been and always will be. He could hurt you. Badly. Xiao couldn’t lose the only person he felt as if he had last. You were his whole world, the only person he felt accepted by.

The image of your beaten and bloodied body as you gasped for air, spear gouged into your abdome-

“No.” He whispered, the stronghold on his hair became tighter as he tried to forget the thought of you dead. Dead by his hands. “Leave. Go back to bed.”

It wasn’t until you saw Xiao come walking out of the now, pitch black room. From what you could make out in the dark as he came closer to the bed was that his cheeks were riddled with tear stains. His golden eyes were slumped into a sea of red as his face was littered with things that seemed to be… scratch marks?

“Xiao, is everything alright? What happened?” Now in a frantic state, you sat up and cupped his face with your palms. He flinched, seeming to be uncomfortable by your touch.

Noticing this, you tried pulling away but he only grabbed your wrists and put your hands back onto his face, his grip seemed to be weak. His hands were trembling, as if he was scared to touch you.

Xiao left a gentle kiss on the inside of your wrist, his eyes closed as he whispered something that you could barely make out, but it seemed to be an apology. Why was he apologizing?

“For what, my love?” You tried asking him with a smile but you could slowly feel tears pricking your eyes at the sight of Xiao in such distraught.

He didn’t respond, instead his hands shakily roamed down onto the bed and leaned forward, forcing you to lie down. You did exactly that and as if on command, Xiao rested on top of you, clutching onto your form. He was like a little lap dog, head resting upon your chest as his arms clung around your waist.

Your fingers began threading through his locks, feeling how mangled and rough his hair was. His skin was hot to the touch and was still ever so quietly shaking.

“...Was it a nightmare?” Xiao didn’t answer you once again, in fact it almost seemed as if he didn’t respond at all.

Peering to the side to possibly make any form of emotion out of his face, you realized he was fast asleep. A small smile curved on your lips at the sight.

The best example of hardcore purple prose I can think of? She’s fucking amazing and I think her rendition of Michael Mell is fucking fascinating.

Jaydee Faire (my sister, username Jaydee_Faire). She’s primarily an original fiction creator, but her stuff is like… it’s. Really Fancy and Really Incredible; think “published high art” quality, she just hasn’t gotten there yet. Her fandoms are Final Fantasy Tactics, Captive Prince, and Breath of the Wild. Most of her fics deal with trauma emotions, high fantasy culture, and some politics. Please for the love of GOD read Pet.

It’s also the first chapter fic I’ve ever finished (tho it’s only 11k), including editing. It was very basic beta read by a few people, so grammar and spelling was cleaned up to my knowledge!

During my mental break, I’ve been trying to recover from a traumatic experience that occurred last month…I probably won’t be venting about my life anytime soon. But it is really messed up. Anywho, been resting, practicing mindfulness, my period came on, so I’ve been trying to control my temper, etc. 

But here’s an update, I did some more artwork. I’m going to give you that today. I’m going to recommend a few apps, youtube channels, and show off some artists and musicians, in this post. I’ll also mention some servers for you guys to join. In also munching on some organic cinnamon bears by the Wholesome brand. You can’t beat them. 

Apps I use on my phone!

Here’s some apps I use in my everyday life. Some you have to pay a little more for but it’s definitely worth it.

But since a TikTok is getting banned in the US and China, I thought well, might try this out. Despite TikTok’s racism and shadowbanning, I liked making small little clips. No matter how embarrassing it is. So give it a try you never know.

Polarr | https://apps.apple.com/us/app/polarr-photo-editor/id988173374 | Okay. I had to include this app into this list. Y’know? This is my favorite photo editing program. It’s simple, it’s sleek, and it’s so fun to mess around with stuff in your photos. I never knew this great of an app exists a year ago? You can add effects, get rid of some unwanted features, or just do a simple touch up. It’s available on the computer, and tablet and phone.

Telegram | https://apps.apple.com/us/app/telegram-messenger/id686449807 | it’s a messenger app. Yes. I know. But! Hear me out! You can set it up to have this so password protected. It encrypts all of your conversations. You get all kinds of stickers to include in your conversations. Honestly? It’s fun, interactive, and safe from unwanted eyes. 

Notebloc | https://apps.apple.com/us/app/notebloc/id1077023687 | oh my gosh what can you do. It’s a free app. With premium scanning capabilities, at no cost to you. It’s amazing to be honest I believe it’s better than Evernote. Just give it a shot.

Watch his videos.Neebs Gaming | My favorite series on this channel (and I’m currently listening to) is his Subnautica series. It is absolutely hilarious. It’s great. This guy(s) turned this game and made a video show out of it, it’s so laughable. I love it. 

Adrian Von Ziegler | Beautiful channel, perfect inspiration music. D&D campaign music! And taking Celtic Music back to its roots. Oh my gosh it’s absolutely amazing.
