Omg if I told you the small crisis I went through just trying to explain how Naoya got elected, when, and why-- I literally wrote like 8 paragraphs trying to make it work lol. But i think I might've...confused certain details.

Mainly because Mai and Maki's dad said that the defining factor that chose Naobito as the next clan leader was the "quality of his children" and they're 11 years younger than Naoya, so I was like how old was he when he was chosen??

I'm assuming they waited for Naoya to show if he was capable of seeing curses and what not (which is around 5 years old) And immediately discarded Mai and Maki for being twins and women. (He must've been 11 at this point)

Which makes me wonder when did Naobito become the leader? When Mai and Maki were born?

Meaning that the previous leader died around the time they were born, Naobito was immediately made the next leader, and Naoya was set to be the heir too 💀? He must've really been the epitome of talent lmao.

Lol maybe I'm just overthinking things (but such is my need to make everything fit into the fic 😩)

Nonetheless, thank you for indulging me 🤣 there's really nothing holding me to follow canon, but i just want to because I looooove explaining either plot holes or things that are left for anyone's imagination.

book you’ve reread the most times?

i think it's either a book i've read as a kid (i feel like i reread the prisoner of azkaban a lot for some reason, and also james and the giant peach) or pride and prejudice bc i read that one in french and english,,, i don't really reread books tho just bc i like to discover new ones more than revisiting stories i already know

3. what is your favourite genre?

fantasy, not urban fantasy i mean fantasy with wizards and dragons and ancient prophecies and quests... i also love literary novels/classics but it's hard to call that a genre

11. what non-fiction books do you like if any?

all about love by bell hooks, a poetry handbook by mary oliver, adult children of emotionally immature parents by lindsay gibson... there aren't a lot now that i think abt it?? i think it's bc i read a lot of excerpts and not whole books
