Before I post any art, I gotta say a thing. And I've told a few people already but I am gonna share it here, too.

TW; Anxiety (but like positive?)

At work I am quite well-known as "that person with anxiety". I think at most points, despite turnover rates of employees, at minimum 65% of all employees have seen me cry at work before. If they haven't, it's probably someone on night crew. The thing is though, it has it's really weird benefits? I'm absolutely not here to wish anxiety on anyone but when someone that isn't me has anxiety? A lot of coworkers will ask me to talk to the person in the middle of an attack because "hey you can relate".

And today all I had to do was listen to someone vent their work stress as she cried out back and vaped a little to calm down. Like, she didn't ask me to join her out back. A guy told me to go check on her so I did. And she just... let it all out. And as she calmed down and was about to go back in I told her "hey it's fine to feel better but if you go right back to where you were it's not gonna help anything. Go into the walk in cooler for a minute to literally cool off" and she paused and was like. Stunned. That it could be that easy. (note, the back? no AC. her station? the pizza station? ovens AND multiple people for body heat. outside where she vented? also hot!)

I just enjoy the fact that while it sucks to have anxiety, I've been there long enough to help multiple people through an attack because I'm just a small and little fella. The least intimidating person in the restaurant who has been seen crying more than any other worker.

I remember having my own anxiety attack and my GM at the time just walked over to me and stood at a slight distance and started to talk to me about a video game he'd been playing lately and when he left to get back to work, I felt better. He just ... rambled about something to distract me and it worked. I remember a manager who had real bad anxiety prior to working and had it under control who told me it was fine to feel anxious because your brain's stupid. And, as a restaurant, he's like "to your brain under an anxiety attack, you could have a line out the door or a lion at the door and it's the exact same sense of fear."

Basically, I haven't had super huge attacks at work lately but I'm still known for having them and for some reason, that gets spread around and no one ever acts like it's a defect. In fact, plenty find it relatable! And when I can help someone with advice I've gotten before or just distracting them with a silly story about the one time I walked in the back door and walked into the cooler and started to cry and shake and a manager found me and goes "did you even clock in yet?" and I shook my head and he told me to go home but after I sat in my car for a bit to calm down. It's nice to hear someone laugh when I tell them "so hey, at least YOU got to clocking in so you're getting paid to cry".

It's just wild how a little understanding goes a long way? How it doesn't fix anything but dang it really does help to just co-exist as "ah yeah I get that - do you want some water?"

She smirked, clearly proud of herself, and slid into the spot beside him, going so far as to set his usual coffee order in front of him before sipping at her own oat-milk monstrosity.

"Oh, you do not belong here, Sammy..." Josh chuckled, picking up the drink and giving it a swirl, "I don't want you to misunderstand me here, I've had dreams like this, you suddenly seeing the error of your ways and joining me in studying the deepest, darkest depths of the human psyche, but...you should not be in this lecture hall and you really, truly should leave while you still have the chance."

"Please, like I can't handle sitting around for an hour and listening to some old guy talk about...whatever you guys talk about over here," she teased, leaning to rest her head against his shoulder as she caffeinated herself (and, unknowingly, sealed her own fate), "I think I can handle one psych class if it means getting to spend a little extra time with y..."

It was his turn to smirk as the proctor began walking around, sending massive stacks of stapled papers and scantron half-sheets down each row; he felt Sam go stiff against his side as understanding dawned, and maybe it wasn't the coolest move in the book, but after all the time he'd spent cramming last night, manners were the farthest thing from his mind as he started cracking up.

"Oh it is not exam day," she said in a hushed voice, struggling to stand but finding his hand curled around one of her belt loops and weighing her down, "I take it back - I take it back! - I've had nightmares like this, oh my God, let me up, you putz!"

headcanon wise, i think he was one of those asian kids who was forced to learn either the piano or violin ladjhg but i do think he would like playing the piano! he would exclusively know classical pieces in a minor key though what a loser

i do think he'd be a good singer! not like. The Best. but definitely not Bad either. he'd be in tune and it would sound really soft and lovely yknow? i feel like helia is more of a hummer though!

I'm excited to see how twine works and I agree with you that being active in the community as a writer can be very intense and it often feels like we owe everyone an update immediately in a way?? which has definitely been stressful. taking a step back and rewriting this thing will be a TripTM but I'm looking forward to some of the changes I thought of! <3

Hawk doesn’t want either of them meeting Fry. Hawk just tells her that her grandparents are dead. (Hawk herself barely has contact with his parents after she turned 18, and only sees Anchor when he needs money)

Anchor… respects the choice or at least somewhat understands it. King really wishes he could meet Fry and has some weird hope that one day Hawk would be like “Y’know what actually sure I’ll let my child meet my parents. My dangerous assassin parents. That sounds like a good idea today.” <-would never happen. But King loves to cling to baseless hope : )

Op what’s your favorite scene you’ve ever written and why is it your favorite

OOO, this is a hard question! I usually have like 2-3 fics rattling around in my brain and everything else I forget exists for a hot min, and apparently I have (checks notes) a whopping 42 works,,, damn. So, uh, three come to mind! (。。 )ゝ

I think in terms of being descriptive and writing emotion/sensations, the beginning scene of my body's in backwards. Like, I really love how I wrote the kind of agony during the first chapter, as harsh as that sounds adjkskds, stuff like: "Mark feels like his entire body’s just completely crushed and squeezed like a nearly empty tube of toothpaste," feels is pretty solid imagery! It flows well, too! Plus, I reference writing I like to while writing, and that includes my own work sometimes, and this is one of 'em!

In terms of, like, technical ability like metaphor, even if it isn't particularly impressive on a quick glance, the cumulative of step-up in all the time in the world makes me feel proud? It's my first time really trying to go ham with metaphor, so when Bruce actively hugs Alfred on his own in chapter 4, it's like a payoff of like 3-4 chapter's worth of step up lmao. To make a long story short, young Bruce dealing with intense emotions with literal, physical distance (pos=high up, neg=lower, like basements), but by the end of that mini-arc is the one to close the distance between himself and Alfred through closing physical distance via hug he initiates, which is huge! I'm very proud of it.

In terms of emotion the ending bit of i've got no time to live (and i can't say goodbye) ! It was one of my fav pieces for a long while, not so much anymore (waves to above, much more proud above), but I'm still proud of it! The kind of rage and frustration still feels super palpable to me, like "Inky MK throws his true half to the ground, knowing the very conviction making them fight, is the same one his true half refuses to see through, and the same one that makes him want to scream to the heavens, drag them down with bloody claws and demands answers, real answers about his stupid, destructive and powerful, pitiful and terrifying, messed up, tragedy-in-the-making life."

It still feels intense, and therefore I wrote it right, haha! TYSM FOR ASKING!!! ⸜(*ˊᗜˋ*)⸝

So, for me, a lot of what makes Rhaegar and the whole r+l=j situation interesting is how little we know as fact. The fandoms obviously divided on this, one side is sure they know Exactly what happened and the other side is the same. I don't think we'll ever get concrete answers, except for Jon being Rhaegar's son. We don't really need them anyways.

I imagine Rhaegar as being an ok guy, for the most part. Not obsessed with prophecy but weighed down by it. "It seems I must be a warrior." Understandably, it must be hard to be cheery when you know your family's adopted home is gonna get hit with another Doom.

I don't really think Jon was a part of his plans for the prophecy (the dragons has three heads). If all Rhaegar wanted was another kid then there were much simpler and safer ways to go about it. If he kidnapped Lyanna then, obviously, he sucks. If he didn't, then cool! I think she went with him willingly but maybe didn't stay at the Tower of Joy willingly. I think his actual plans to prepare for the Others were to usurp his dad and enact the "changes" he mentioned to Jaime. Also, I like that he's haunting Jaime. He's haunting the whole story really.
