Wanted to do a landscape, ended up adding Ghost. Background Ghosts are Trapper, Gearshift, and Longshot. Might make this my new header but I can't decide lmao.
reblogs are highly appreciated, and please do not repost my art
Genuinely can't decide if I want to make this my new header.

avm fantasy au? real
‘ve been brainrotting over this since DECEMBER so it’s about time i did some designs for them :3 second and red’s aren’t final yet though
notes for this au:
most people generally have some sort of power. yellow’s the only one in the color gang who doesn’t and they use redstone instead
blue’s an alchemist that somehow managed to get the reputation that they are incredibly scary (they are NOT). has the ability to grow (already existing) plants at will
green’s a traveling bard and purple’s an assassin/bounty hunter. they are very good friends (oh boy i wonder how this will turn out)
second was a normal dude before he got framed for arson and burning down a village. has some crazy powers he doesn’t know about and is currently on the run
said village second got framed for was also yellow’s, and yellow also fully believes that he was the one to do it
after yellow’s home is destroyed they go out searching for a mystical legendary artifact named the Command Block that they’ve been enamored with forever and meet blue in the process
there is a lot more to this au but i don’t want to dump it all in one post so that’s all for now 🤞🤞YIPEEE!!

I was thinking about how sometimes people, especially in a fandom like tmnt with so much focus on siblings relationships, will say that if someone writes the characters in XYZ way they must be an only child
I think this is meant less literally than I'm taking it but bear with me when I'm done with all the exposition I have a question
I don't think it's very easy at all to spot an only child based on how they write sibling dynamics, it would vary so much based how their dynamics with their friends were and if they had friends with siblings and if they were friends with both/all the siblings or if it was 'my friend and my friend's sister.' Sometimes it does make the story make more sense if you happen to find out the writer is an only child though
I do catch myself assuming Oldest or Youngest based on how the sibling dynamic is written
When the oldest sibling in the story is always characterized as reasonable and responsible and making sacrifices their younger siblings will never know about, it's hard not to think 'ah so you've never had an older sibling, huh?' Or babysat siblings because y'all, the oldest is almost always the most mischievous. They can remember a time before their parents made these rules and therefore think they are above them.
But I get it. Being an older sibling does involve a lot of sacrifice, and growing up you don't think you're picking on your siblings or being rebellious, your brain is just growing and what seems reasonable and responsible to you will often look like mischief to an adult. And let's be real we all kinda forget the trouble we used to cause as kids.
When the youngest sibling is characterized as always well-meaning and keeps getting scolded for random things and constantly teased, it's easy to wonder 'has the writer ever had a younger sibling?' Like as a younger sibling it's true, you do get scolded by parents and siblings for things that make no sense to you at the time (or sometimes really and truly don't make sense), and your older siblings whose brains are more developed than yours but not developed enough to understand that you need more grace do sometimes make fun of you for things that they really shouldn't. But when the younger sibling is written as never being the instigator and the sacrifices the older siblings make are never/minimally acknowledged, it's easy to jump to 'oh maybe they were the youngest that would explain it'
Anyways all of this is not meant to dunk on that type of writing, I find it enriching and fascinating to read stories that focus more on one character and the way that character perceives their intentions and the injustice of the family dynamic, because siblings relationships often are unjust, to both parties honestly. I am probably wrong with these assumptions, there are any number of life experiences that could explain them or it also could just be that people have favorite characters. Also it's not always the case that it's the oldest and youngest these stories focus on, just that if whichever present character is older is always/very often portrayed as being in the right, or same thing for younger, it causes that same 'ah oldest/youngest sibling' response that some people get with 'ah, only child'
anyways all of that to ask
If y'all are an only child, oldest, or youngest siblings, what are the ways people write family dynamics that make you think, 'ah, middle child'?

polysticks & their headmates (template)
I think the ship name for them should be polypluralsticks because 1) I’m polyplural 2) the main difference is cowboy sec and green screen, which. y’know. as a system. they’re plural to me 3) I think it’s funny
