Developing Event Strategies
Do you know what factors determine an event's success? Celebrity speakers! But what they say during a speech and what you say before and after an event are more important. The key is the content of any Event management jobs that you are planning to apply for.
It promotes awareness, registration, and ticket sales prior to an event. Then, on the day of the event, it makes people more excited. Finally, content keeps people interested and engaged long after your event is over.
If you have time, a budget, and a solid content marketing strategy, you can accomplish all of this. Interestingly, but typically, issues originate from the beginning. Sadly, there is no one-size-fits-all strategy for events. Still, you can use some effective content practices.
Here are some helpful hints for creating an efficient content strategy once you get your desired event jobs in Delhi. Mind you – there is a lot of competition in this field!
What exactly is event strategy?
Throughout the event's planning, you communicate a set of messages to a specific audience through a content strategy. These messages can be in the form of audio, video, or images in addition to text. Typically, the strategy's development and implementation are handled by a content manager. He/she is the one to manage the event management job vacancy.
The content strategy provides answers to questions like where, when, and how to connect with potential event participants in addition to the statement itself. Analytics, journey maps, buyer personas, editorial calendars, and content governance as a whole are all included.
The primary objective here is to engage leads and keep them informed until after the event in order to encourage them to attend your subsequent gathering and share their feedback with friends.
A step-by-step guide to event content strategy –
Think about your objectives.
Prior to developing a strategy, be sure to define your objectives. Add them to your substance plan archive to continuously remember them while simply deciding.
What is the correct procedure for this? Describe the objective of your content strategy and the specific reasons behind each piece of content.
It will have different objectives, such as converting undecided potential attendees, selling last-minute tickets, or encouraging participants to share feedback on social media, depending on the type of content and strategy stage.
Consider your audience.
After you have established the objective of your content strategy, it is now time to consider your audience's requirements. In a nutshell, who are you going to speak with and why should they listen to what you have to say?
Before proceeding with a content strategy for events, here is a short list of questions to answer:
Who do you want to reach?
How can I contact them? Which online platforms do they utilize?)
Which sectors do they operate in?
Do they target a particular group of people?
What gadget do they use to see your message?
What are they hoping to acquire by participating in the event?
By addressing their pain points, creating avatars of your attendees will help you come up with content ideas that actually speak to your audience.
It's likely to fail if you don't really know who you're writing for and just write informational content. By learning more about your audience, you can avoid this. You can share a survey or gather individual information subtleties consequently as numerous different brands do.
You can also use this knowledge to tailor your language to the majority of recipients. If mobile is the primary device that your potential customers prefer, creating content that is mobile-friendly is an additional crucial aspect to consider.
Keep in mind that young people prefer visual-driven content if they are your target audience. In addition, as with all other types of news posts, keep paragraphs and sentences to a minimum to ensure that they are understandable, concise, and enduring.
Create FAQs to answer questions with content.
People want quick answers to their questions and can quickly decide if they are interested in this event, so event content shouldn't be long. Your job is to get right to the point with your message by anticipating questions from users and immediately grabbing their attention.
That can be accomplished in a number of ways, one of which is by creating a comprehensive knowledge base that contains vital information and answers to the most frequently asked questions by users. Along these lines, planned clients and participants can involve it as a valid source any time. Simply determine the topics that need to be covered in the knowledge base and select the appropriate software to construct it.
You will have a better understanding of the kind of content that would be more valuable to and engaging for your audience if you learn about the topics that they are discussing online. Find the ideal harmony between what you need to say and what your clients need to be aware.
Highlight unique selling points in the content.
Utilize unique selling points (USP) to produce content that no one can resist and that no one can pass up. In a nutshell, it is the core of what sets your offer apart from the competition. If you want to turn visitors to your website or other channels of communication into paying customers, you must clearly and succinctly communicate your unique selling proposition (USP).
Take a pen and paper and write down your unique selling points before coming up with a content strategy to figure out the best ways to present your event. Try to respond to the questions below to see what sets your offer apart.
Wrap Up -
Customers may have concerns about the veracity of your content or the next step they should take in order to attend your event after reading your articles, watching your videos, or coming across your promotional material online. Ensure they can track down quick and basic responses.
Including additional links is the most effective strategy for providing them with content-based guidance and explanations. For instance, on the off chance that you distribute measurement numbers, add a URL to the first wellspring of data or official review report.

English to Tamil Translation: Seamless Translation for Cross-Cultural Understanding
Tamil is a Dravidian language that is spoken by more than 70 million people throughout the globe, the majority of whom reside in the state of Tamil Nadu in southern India. Tamil is recognized for its rich literary tradition and sophisticated grammatical structure. English to Tamil translation have a fascinating task while working with Tamil because of the language’s distinctive script, grammatical characteristics, and cultural subtleties. In order to achieve seamless translation, one must have a profound grasp of both languages, being sensitive to cultural differences, and being skilled in the art of successful communication.
How to Get Around in the Language World
The Tamil language, in contrast to the English language, is an agglutinative language, which means that grammatical features are added to the ends of words in order to communicate meaning. This peculiar grammatical structure is a considerable barrier for translators, since they are need to carefully examine the original text in order to identify the links that exist between words and sentences. In order to produce translations that are correct and sound natural, it is necessary to have a full understanding of the grammar, syntax, and semantics of Tamil.
Accepting Differences in Culture
Understanding and honoring the cultural context of the original text is an essential component of effective translation, which goes beyond just ensuring that the text is linguistically accurate. The language of Tamil, which is profoundly entwined with the customs, values, and traditions of Tamil Nadu, often makes use of cultural allusions, idioms, and phrases that may not have exact parallels in the English language. For the purpose of preserving the original meaning and effect of the text, translators are required to demonstrate cultural sensitivity and carefully evaluate the meanings of each word of the translation.
Getting the Tonal Gap Fixed
As is the case with many other Dravidian languages, Tamil is a tonal language, which means that the meaning of a syllable may change depending on its pitch. Because English does not have a tonal system that is comparable to Tamil’s, this tonal element adds an additional layer of intricacy to the translation from English to Tamil. In order to achieve the desired impact, translators are required to apply innovative tactics in order to transmit the intended tone of the original text. These strategies include the utilization of contextual cues and language subtleties.
Using technology to get better at translation
However, technology is playing an increasingly crucial part in the English to Tamil translation process, even if human skill is still the most important factor. Even though they are still in the process of being developed, machine translation technologies have the potential to be of great help when it comes to early drafts and preliminary translations. Following this, translators may make use of their language knowledge to improve these translations, so ensuring that they are accurate, fluent, and sensitive to certain cultural norms.
THE WAY TO MASTERY: ALWAYS LEARNING AND IMMERSION IN OTHER CULTURES
Mastering the skill of translating from English to Tamil is a never-ending process that requires constant study, refinement, and absorption in the culture of Tamil. In order to stay current with the ever-evolving cultural and linguistic trends, translators are required to continually increase their knowledge of both languages. One of the most useful possibilities for translators to enhance their comprehension of the Tamil language and its intricacies is to actively connect with the Tamil community. This may be accomplished by reading Tamil literature, immersing oneself in Tamil media, and conversing with local speakers.
Conclusion
The process of English to Tamil translation is a complex activity that requires linguistic skill, cultural sensitivity, and a strong desire to bridge language differences. It is possible for translators to attain greatness in their trade by embracing the nuances of both languages and immersing themselves in the rich cultural fabric of Tamil Nadu. This will help to create effective communication and cultural understanding between people who speak Tamil and English.

The latest rapid testing techniques
Familiarity with rapid testing techniques will help the candidates' academic success in the entrance exam. Many students continue their studies with the mindset that learning more and better alone is enough for excellent results in the entrance exam. They think that knowing the solution to each question is enough to get the answer! While in order to succeed in the entrance exam, you need to solve the questions in the shortest possible time and with the fastest method. For this reason, learning the methods of quick entrance exam testing is one of the most important skills that you must learn before participating in the entrance exam.
Tumblr media
The reason for using rapid testing methods
Familiarity with testing methods makes students perform better in the entrance exam. It is better for candidates to be familiar with speed testing methods. As we said, in order to get the answers to entrance exams, you need to know the quick testing methods well. In fact, the main purpose of this work is to save the time you have to answer the questions
Before we want to talk about speed testing methods, it is better to learn basic testing methods. Testing, like any other skill, requires a lot of repetition and practice. It is not possible to answer 100% of all questions by just reading the textbook. This is the reason why some students still do not get good results in exams despite the high study hours. Therefore, it is necessary for all students to learn the principles of correct testing, especially for entrance exams, which we will explain in detail below.
Tumblr media
How many tests should we do a day? "How many tests do we need to take daily in order to reach the top ranks in the entrance exam?" This sentence is one of the most common questions of students and its answer depends on various factors. If your testing level is weak and you did not study enough, start with 50 tests a day and after two months, increase to 100 tests. If your academic level is average, you can start with 80 tests a day and solve 150 questions a day after two months. But if you studied very well and have a high academic level? You can start with 120 tests per day and reach 220 tests after two months.
Of course, to determine the appropriate number of daily tests, we must consider free hours. On days when you are at school, you definitely have less time and about 30 to 50 tests are less than the average number of daily tests. But this is completely normal and there is no special concern.
Tumblr media
Do not test in bulk One of the most important problems of students is that they solve 400 or 500 tests a day at once. If you don't have such experience before and take mass tests only based on the quantity and increase of study hours. This method is completely wrong. This type of testing has disadvantages such as wasting testing and time, causing fatigue, increasing the number of incorrect tests, etc. In this way, your motivation to take the test will decrease.
In order to better remember the lesson contents and points, it is better to practice in small amounts but often. For example, answer the even tests once and solve the odd tests the next time. In addition to consolidating the material, this will increase your concentration for tests.
Do not forget the educational tests We all know that studying is not the only and most effective way of learning and we must be able to apply what we have learned; Therefore, students must solve the tests related to that topic accurately after finishing each topic. When solving the educational tests, it is better to write the important and key points of each topic in detail. One of the best things that show us the strengths and weaknesses in studying is solving educational tests. After reading each chapter, solving 5-10 tests will show you a better view of what you have learned. You don't need to get percentage or solve every test according to time. Educational tests are better for learning. Go back to the book again and write down the important points. In this way, you will save time and increase the efficiency of study.
Tumblr media
Review by testing Candidates should know that testing helps to review and summarize lessons. By testing, candidates can determine the important points of each topic in detail and study the material with more concentration. As the days of entrance examinations or mock exams approach, the fever of reviewing and summarizing is heating up. One of the best ways to review a textbook is to take a test.Prepare a complete set similar to the national exam from different subjects and solve the exam like the main session. After solving the review tests, start analyzing the test. Write down the points of the questions that you answered correctly. Resolve the questions you did not answer and solve some educational questions from that topic. Carefully check the questions you answered wrongly and write down the points. Do not forget the educational tests for this category of questions.
Tumblr media
Pay attention to the form of questions and options Paying attention to the form of the question increases the candidates' accuracy in the test session. Many students appear in the test session with full preparation, but after analyzing the test, they realize their gross mistakes! One of the techniques used by the entrance exam designers is to use negative verbs, adverbs, plural and singular signs and such things that students pay less attention to.Read the question form and the options carefully so that you don't fall into the trap of entrance exam designers. Remember to read the sentences to the end and underline the important points

With regular exercise and a healthy diet, you can shape your neck and reduce the double chin. To prevent your problem from getting worse, it is important to keep your posture correct. This article will show you 15 easy exercises that can be done anywhere to reduce neck fat.
What causes neck fat?
There are many factors that can lead to a buildup of fat around the neck. These factors can be understood so you can reduce the amount of fat around your neck.

It uses pigments placed into the skin in order to create a natural-looking, semi-permanent cosmetic effect on lips, eyes, brows, cheeks and more. This innovative technique has been around for decades but continues to gain popularity as people seek out new ways to look their best. But what does permanent makeup actually mean? What are its effects and implications?
The definition of permanent makeup varies from person to person depending upon the desired outcome. Generally speaking though, it involves having pigment injected into the subcutaneous layer of the skin in order to achieve an enhancement of facial features or even camouflage certain areas such as scars or birthmarks. The goal is usually a subtle yet noticeable improvement - something that looks natural and lasts longer than traditional cosmetics would. Permanent makeup can also be used to correct asymmetries within the face or simply provide additional colour and definition where needed.
This form of aesthetic treatment provides many benefits; you’ll no longer need to worry about applying make-up every day or keeping up with regular touch-ups which saves time and money while giving you long lasting results. Furthermore, if applied correctly by an experienced professional, this type of cosmetic work should not cause any discomfort during application nor will it have any major side effects when done properly. However, there still remains important questions regarding whether it's safe for pregnant women considering that the process involves injecting material directly under the skin.
Potential Risks Of Getting Permanent Makeup During Pregnancy
When considering permanent makeup during pregnancy, it is important to understand the potential risks and side effects associated with this procedure. While there are many benefits that can be derived from getting permanent makeup, pregnant women should take extra precaution before undergoing any form of cosmetic tattooing.
First and foremost, when having a cosmetic tattoo applied to one’s face or body while pregnant, there is an increased risk for allergies or skin sensitivities due to changes in hormones during the course of the pregnancy. It is also possible that the pigment used may cause irritation which could lead to further complications like infection. Additionally, if done incorrectly by an inexperienced technician, it can result in uneven lines or coloration which may not look as desired once fully healed. Lastly, studies have shown that some pigments used in permanent makeup contain heavy metals such as mercury and arsenic – these substances can become toxic when exposed to high temperatures such as those found inside a sauna; therefore it is best practice to avoid activities where you will be sweating profusely after receiving your ink work.
Overall, although permanent makeup has been around for decades helping people achieve their aesthetic goals with beautiful results, pregnant women should proceed with caution when considering this type of treatment. As always, it is advised that they consult first with their doctors - especially if they experience any health issues related to their pregnancy - prior to going ahead with any sort of facial tattooing procedures.
Alternatives To Permanent Makeup During Pregnancy
While permanent makeup may sound like the perfect solution for achieving desired beauty goals during pregnancy, there are alternatives available that can provide just as beautiful results without the risks associated with a cosmetic tattoo. Non-permanent or temporary cosmetics such as airbrush and spray tanning, henna and glitter tattoos have become increasingly popular in recent years due to their ability to create vibrant colors and effects that last anywhere from 1-3 days but can easily be removed when needed. Additionally, women who want a more natural look might opt for traditional makeup options such as foundations, concealers, eyeshadows, mascaras and lipsticks made specifically for pregnant women which contain ingredients that won't harm the baby. Lastly, beauty treatments such as facials and massages have been known to help relax expecting mothers while providing them with an overall sense of well-being by reducing stress levels both physically and mentally.
With so many non-invasive options available today it is possible for pregnant women to maintain their desired aesthetic without having to worry about potential health risks involved with permanent makeup procedures. Whether you choose one of these alternatives or decide against any type of facial enhancement altogether, make sure to do your research beforehand in order to ensure you get safe products and services tailored specifically towards pregnant women's needs.
Benefits Of Permanent Makeup After Pregnancy
Permanent makeup can be a great option for those looking to restore their appearance after pregnancy. While it may not offer the same immediate satisfaction as traditional cosmetics, permanent makeup provides long-term benefits that are worth considering. This type of makeup creates semi-permanent results that will last anywhere from 1-5 years depending on the procedure and skin type. Additionally, this form of beauty enhancement is ideal for busy moms who don’t have time to reapply regular make up every day or risk smudging it throughout the day due to sweat or other activities.
The advantages of permanent makeup are both physical and psychological in nature; women who opt for this type of treatment typically experience more confidence due to the fact that they look better without having to apply any kind of product daily. Permanent makeup also eliminates the need for wearing heavy foundation which can be uncomfortable during hot days, making it an even more desirable choice during summertime months. Furthermore, post-pregnancy treatments such as microblading or lip blushing can help reduce signs of aging by creating fuller lips and eyebrows with natural looking color pigmentation.
By offering long lasting results and improved self image, permanent makeup gives mothers a chance to look and feel their best even when life gets hectic and demanding - all while avoiding potential health risks associated with cosmetic tattoos during pregnancy.
Frequently Asked Questions
How Long Does Permanent Makeup Last?
Permanent makeup is a revolutionary way to create lasting beauty without the need for frequent touchups. It may be used to enhance eyebrows, lips and eyes, as well as other areas of the face and body. But how long do permanent makeup results last? Permanent makeup typically has a lifespan that ranges from one to three years depending on factors such as skin type and lifestyle.
The longevity effects of permanent makeup depend largely on the skill level of the artist performing it and the quality of pigments used during application. A professional permanent makeup artist will use high-quality pigments with proven durability in order to provide clients with optimal results that can last up to three years or more. Proper aftercare is also important for preserving its longevity; this includes avoiding sun exposure, not picking at scabs, and moisturizing daily.
In addition to these steps, there are several ways you can maintain your permanent makeup’s vibrancy over time: • Start by investing in an effective skincare routine that works specifically for your individual needs • Use sunscreen every day when outdoors • Receive regular touchup appointments as needed • Incorporate products like retinol into your skincare regimen which help promote cell turnover When done correctly and looked after properly, permanent makeup can give you stunning results that last for many years. With proper care and maintenance tailored to each client's unique requirements, even those who experience fading of their pigment have found success with reapplication treatments.
Is It Safe To Get Permanent Makeup While Breastfeeding?
Permanent makeup can be a great way to enhance your features and make them look more polished. But when it comes to breastfeeding while having permanent makeup, things become more complicated. Is it safe to get permanent makeup while breastfeeding? This is an important question that requires some serious consideration before making any decisions.
When considering whether or not it's safe to have permanent makeup done while you are breastfeeding, there are several factors that need to be taken into account. First of all, the ingredients used in the procedure may lead to health risks for both mother and baby if not properly managed. Additionally, side effects such as redness, swelling, itching, or irritation could occur if proper precautions are not taken during the process. Furthermore, certain areas around the mouth and eyes can cause infection if not handled correctly. Finally, breast milk itself should also be considered since foreign bodies from the pigment could potentially enter through this route leading to adverse effects on your child’s health.
To ensure safety while getting permanent makeup during breastfeeding we recommend taking these steps: research the salon beforehand; ask questions about their sanitization practices; pick a skilled artist who specializes in working with nursing mothers; use sterile equipment only; apply numbing cream prior to treatment; take breaks throughout the session if needed; immediately discontinue treatment if feeling uncomfortable at any point; thoroughly cleanse skin after application of pigments and follow up with physician advice afterwards. Taking these steps will help minimize potential health risks associated with getting permanent makeup while breastfeeding so you can enjoy beautiful features without compromising your little one’s wellbeing!
How Much Does Permanent Makeup Cost?
Permanent makeup cost is an important factor to consider when looking into permanent makeup treatments. Permanent makeup prices can vary depending on the type of procedure, the experience and skill level of the professional performing the treatment, and other factors such as geographical region. It's essential for a client to get an accurate estimate before committing to any permanent makeup fees or costs.
Before undergoing a permanent makeup treatment, it’s best to research different professionals in your area and shop around for the best pricing options available. Some providers offer promotional discounts or package deals which may lower overall costs. Additionally, many clinics provide detailed information about their services online, including permanent makeup pricing and cost estimates which can help you make an informed decision that suits both your budget and desired results.
When considering permanent makeup cost, it’s also important to remember that this is not just a financial investment but also one concerning your health and physical appearance. Choosing a qualified provider with extensive training who will take all necessary precautions during application is key to ensure successful outcomes from your treatment.
Is Permanent Makeup Painful?
Permanent makeup is a semi-permanent cosmetic procedure, often performed using either a hand or machine method. The process involves the use of pigments to colour and tattoo the skin in order to create defined eyebrows, fuller lips or other desired facial features. It’s important to understand that while permanent makeup can be highly beneficial for those looking to restore their natural appearance, it also comes with some potential risks, including pain or discomfort associated with the procedure.
The level of pain experienced during permanent makeup will vary from person to person depending on personal sensitivity levels. However, there are steps that can be taken by both you and your permanent makeup artist before and during treatment to reduce any feelings of discomfort. For example, topical numbing cream may be applied prior to treatment in order to minimise stinging sensations throughout the procedure. In addition, many artists recommend taking ibuprofen an hour beforehand as this helps improve blood flow beneath the surface of the skin which enhances pigment absorption but also reduces sensitivity levels too.
It’s crucial that your chosen permanent makeup artist has well-established knowledge when it comes to selecting products designed specifically for sensitive skin types as these help minimise any potential pain or discomfort related experiences. If carried out properly by reputable professionals then permanent makeup should not cause excessive distress; however if you do experience any sudden sharp pains then let your technician know right away so adjustments can be made where necessary.
Are There Any Side Effects Associated With Permanent Makeup?
Permanent makeup side effects are a major consideration for anyone considering the procedure. According to the American Academy of Dermatology, over 45 million people in the United States alone have undergone some form of permanent cosmetic procedure. Therefore, it is important that one understand all potential risks associated with permanent makeup before proceeding.
Long-term permanent makeup side effects can include an allergic reaction to pigments used during the process or possible complications due to a weakened immune system. Those who suffer from pre-existing skin conditions such as eczema may also experience adverse reactions if not properly treated beforehand. In addition, there is always a risk of infection if proper hygiene protocols are not followed and adhered to by both the artist and client during any type of cosmetic procedure.
It's essential for everyone interested in receiving permanent makeup services to be aware of these risks and ensure they consult with their doctor prior to making any decisions on getting this type of treatment done. Furthermore, researching different artists who specialize in this field and reading reviews will help inform clients about quality standards when choosing a professional for their needs. At the end of the day, safety should always come first when deciding on whether or not permanent makeup is right for you.
Conclusion
Permanent makeup is a great way to enhance and express one's individual beauty. However, it is important to understand the risks associated with the procedure before undergoing treatment. Permanent makeup can last for many years depending on various factors such as skin type, lifestyle habits, and aftercare treatments. It is not recommended to get permanent makeup while pregnant due to possible health complications that may arise. Additionally, getting permanent makeup during breastfeeding can be harmful due to potential absorption of toxins into breast milk.
The cost of permanent makeup varies based on factors including location, expertise level of artist, size of area being treated, and desired outcome. In terms of pain level experienced by clients, it typically ranges from mild discomfort to more intense sensations in sensitive areas like around eyes or lips. Possible side effects include swelling, itching, redness or bruising at site of application which usually resolves within several days without any further medical attention required.
Overall, when considering the pros and cons for getting permanent makeup done it’s best “to err on the side of caution”; especially during pregnancy or lactation stages. For those who choose to go ahead with this cosmetic procedure should ensure they are dealing with an experienced professional in order guarantee safe results and positive experience overall!

(You can find the set that this gif belongs to here 💙)
From planning to posting, share your process for making creative content!
To continue supporting content makers, this tag game is meant to show the entire process of making creative content: this can be for any creation.
RULES: When your work is tagged, show the process of its creation from planning to posting, then tag 5 people with a specific link to one of their creative works you’d like to see the process of. Use the tag #showyourprocess so we can find yours
I was tagged by @aheartfullofjolllly. thank you so much Pat! it was really fun to reflect about my own process 💗 You can find her post here and @lan-xichens' post that started it all here :)
Also thank you @huigusu 🥰 (who tagged me for my nie brothers set) I'll get to that one in a few days!
Now Pat gave me two sets to chose from to show my process, so obviously I chose the more complicated one :P
I only work in Photoshop CC 2018. I know that there are programs out there for easier cutting and sharpening but I have only just figured out how to do that in PS and I am too lazy to figure out any other programs right now xD
1. Idea and Planning
This set, like most of my sets with lyrics started with me reading the poem, clutching my heart and going "oh shit this fits my favourite characters!!". The idea actually started with me thinking that the first stanza of the poem would go really well with wwx during the burial mounds arc. Then I realized that the last stanza fits lwj better than him and from there came the idea to contrast the both of them next to each other. This is when I realized I wanted to do a dark-light contrast set, though I did not know that I would go with red and blue at that time. My idea in the beginning was just to do a black and white set
I was really impressed by how Pat said that she plans her sets around exact timestamps. Because I don't do that at all ^^ I just get ideas for which scenes would fit (in this case the wwx burial mounds scenes and lwj's kneeling and punishments scene) and then I watch the scenes to narrow them down.
Back when I made this set, I still used a screenrecorder (AceThinker Screen Grabber Pro to be precise. They have a test version that allows you to record up to 3 minutes) and recorded the scenes I needed from Netflix. This worked well enough but now I have the entire show saved on an external drive and it makes a world of difference when it comes to gif sharpness
Now, in this case I had to repeat this step once because when I was almost finished, I realized that I wanted a gif for the lwj corner but let's pretend I didn't do that and that's the way this gif was always going to look because otherwise this post will be way too long ^^
2. Creation
Short disclaimer: The creation process for this gifset was anything but linear. Multiple effects I used here were things I had never tried before. I just had a vague idea and tried to realize it through trial and error. So whenever I say "then I did xyz", it is implied that I ultimately went back to that step several times and changed stuff ^^
I started with the Wei Wuxian part of the gif. I usually use a frame rate of 0,06 (with some variation depending on gif length and size). I work in timeline so I converted all the layers to a smart layer. Then I resized the gif into a square, leaving big chunks of the gif empty (as can be seen below.) I flipped the gif horizontally, so he is looking inwards. This was simple because I felt it fitted the composition better. Then I imported the Lan Wangji part of the gif, again with a frame rate of 0,06. (Image 2)
After that I created a layer for masking in a separate PS document by rotating a square until it was point down (is that a rhombus?). I sized it to match my gif (540x540 pxl) and copied it over. (Image 3) a bit of masking magic and ta da! There's the basic layout (Image 4)
I put a layer of solid black behind wwx to get rid of the transparent bits (Image 5) and then started adding more white and black to both sides by adding solid whit and black layers that i put masks on and changed the opacity as i needed (Image 6)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
("reading" direction: from the upper left to the lower right corner)
Then I fiddled with the colours a bit. The first thing I always do is using the curves layer to get more contrast. Then I use the colour balance tool and the selective colouring tool to get rid of that cql-typical cyan tint after that it's just trying to have it look "natural" while the colours still fit the overall scheme. This was difficult here because wei Wuxian’s side of the gif was very dark and when i turned up the saturation to see which colour dominated it was a very weird mixture of multiple colours. That's when i decided that I'd just go with red on his side, since lwj's side was already so blue and those to look great as contrasts.
After that just came a lot of fiddling with selective colour layers and brightness and contrast unti I has happy. There really wasn't much to it ^^. (Image 1)
After that I added the text. I knew I wanted the two lines to for a square of some kind. So I tried different fonds until I arrived at the one below. The two lines are in seperate layers so I could move them around and change the spacing between the letters until I was happy with the layout. I also changed the layer mode for the text to "difference" (is that what it's called in english? my PS is set to german sorry ^^), keeping their colour white. (Image 2)
I originally hadn't planned adding anything else but I felt like the gifs (plural because I switched between the gifs of this set) was still kind of empty and lacking, so I added the tear down the middle (a tutorial for that is either coming up later or already posted. I recently got an ask for this :)) (Image 3)
It still felt empty after that, so I tried different overlays. Okay no, first I wasted a lot of time on different free image sides but then I tried out different ones until I chose the one you can see in the finished gif. I liked that one because a) I felt the round shape was a nice contrast to all the straight lines already there and b) because once I applied a black and white filter to it and switched the layer setting to "difference" (again, i hope this is the correct translation) it looked a bit like a moon. (Gif at the top)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
("reading" direction: from left to right)
And that's it! :)
Although in general, these gifs took so much fiddling! I went back and forth between them a lot and sometimes almost redid the entire thing because I had no idea what I was doing in the beginning and by the time I noticed an error, the only way to fix it was ti redo everything. So yeah, this set definitely is the the one that took me the longest out of all the ones I've posted so far.
3. Posting
I save all my gifs to my drafts first to see what they look like put together and to check if they look any different on mobile. Usually i do this several times and change stuff until I'm happd enough with it to hit post. Once i am happy enough, i can't hold back. Doesn't matter if it's at a time when nobody is online, i hit post 😅
And that's it!
Tagging:
@lanwuxiann for this gifset (I adore it so much. I've looked at it and read it severat times since you posted it and the poem just kills me every time!)
@suibianjie for this gifset (The combination of static images and gifs in your gifs is always absolutely perfect! This one is only my favourite of yours because the light coming from behind wwx is just so pretty!!! ^^)
@sweetlittlevampire for this piece (It was soooo hard to pick a piece of yours because I have so many favourites! But this one is just so out if this world, I want to know how you worked that magic :D)
@wei-gege for this set (sparkling shijie! 😭 that set is so incredibly beautiful! I love how you matched the colour of the overlay with her dress!)
@purplexedhuman for this set (your gifs are always incredible! I chise this one because it showcases both your colouring skills and some really intricate effects)
If any of you have already been tagged or don't have the time or energy for this, obviously no pressure to do this at all! 🥰
(btw, I originally tried to place the actual text of this under a "read more" cut but somehow it always messed with the order of the images, so this ended up as a rather long post. sorry!)

long fucking post on why a c!dream is a shitty person and probably should not have a redemption because it is unpog
honestly i just want to refute dream apologists thats why im making this post. i think that dream as a villain is interesting but i think that trying to make him out to be secretly a good guy is just bad ngl. also /roleplay and all
tw for abuse and mentions of suicide
dream as a villain
dream is a villain. he is chaotic evil according to wilbur, deliberately does not stream to appear less sympathetic (and yet), and is set up as an antagonist to tommy who bears the title ‘hero’. dream is not a good person, no matter how you look at it or try to justify his actions.
‘but he wants to unite everyone to be a big family :((’ the ends dont justify the means believe it or not. having a vaguely positive goal does not excuse the actions you’ve done. it also goes hand and hand with saying dream is correct for punishing tommy the way he did because he acted up. if i socked you across the face and then suddenly said ‘sorry there was a roach on ur face’ does that make it okay? probably not i still punched you, enacting an unnecessary amount of violence. thats a very simple analogy i will admit and there are more complex comparisons. another example off the top of my head is say a child just scribbled all over you walls with crayons. would hitting them be a justified answer? if u said hes thats really fucked of u go seek help u loon. violence as a punishment is very toxic, just because it gets the job done does not mean it is okay. at the end of the day, you still committed this act and the harm you caused is real, having a good motive doesnt suddenly make it okay.
‘but tommy causes all of the conflict’ the disk war wasnt even caused by tommy, it was sapnap and then tommy got involved. and the reason why tommy even caused conflict was because of the discs, because he wanted them back. and most of the time there was a level of antagonism from another party, such as schlatt exiling him, dream taking the disks in the first place, dream threatening l’manberg. and if dream wanted to end the conflict so badly, why didnt he just give tommy back his disks? tommy upfront said everything started with the disks, so he wants them back so he could end the conflict. notice how after tommy got his disks back he has been staying out of conflict, apologizing to everyone, and the only bad thing hes done is try to scam people but everyone does that. this would have been the most peaceful option, yet dream chose the path that would further antagonize tommy which then draws everyone else into conflict. why did dream need to have leverage over tommy so badly? why did he want to hold power over tommy so badly? its because of control, and that’s ultimately dreams end goal. sure he wants a big server family, but would said family have a free will?
‘but dream is sad’ the thing is dream is completely at fault for everything that happened to him. he pushed away sapnap (and george ig). he tried to take control over the server and their possessions. literally everything that happened to tommy. literally everything involving ranboo. villains can be sympathetic, i am not arguing against that. but it does not mean that they should be left off the hook. that doesnt mean u should ignore the shit theyve done because ‘oh no theyre sad’ because it doesnt make anything better. dream had this shit coming for him.
now people also skirt around calling dream an abuser. which is fair ig, its a very loaded word. its much easier to say manipulated. that being said, dream can classify as abusive. and no, tommy is not abusive. abuse is about control and a power imbalance. dream has power over tommy, but tommy does not have power over dream, at least not in the way dream does. he’s taking back power to stand up for himself, dream uses power to control.
the reasons i listed for why dream is from the Domestic Abuse Intervention Project so if u want a source on that, there you go.
Tumblr media
using coercion or threats: dream often threatened tommy, such as the pit thing and often employed violence on him. while normally this could be attributed to Normal Minecraft Player Go Smack. minecraft mechanics cannot always translate to real world since violence is pretty normal in minecraft however we also need to consider the context of the scene. dream gave an order, tommy refused, dream applies violence, tommy submitted. thats why its a threat, it has tangible effects that can correlate to real life.
using intimidation: dream blew up logsteadshire as a punishment. dream also destroyed tommys items anytime he visited. dream also hit tommy with his axe i believe. he killed mushroom henry, one of tommys pets.
Using Emotional Abuse: dream guiltripped the shit out of tommy for just hiding things and pinning the blame on tommy for just wanting his own private items. he definitely played mind games on tommy, pretending to be his friend. honestly i probably dont even need to go as in depth because it was so obvious.
Using Isolation: putting him in exile in the first place. destroying the bether portal so no one could visit tommy anymore. i really dont think i need to expand upon that.
Minimizing, Denying, and Blaming: dream in tommys stream when he got trapped said that exile wasnt that bad. he does shift the blame onto tommy for logsteadshire being blown up, even though dreams reaction was entirely unjustified for not listening and hiding.
Using Economic Abuse: see this is where i attempt to parallel minecraft mechanics to real life. obviously, there is no monetary system in place, so when i mean economic, i will use valuables such as armor, food, etc in place of currency. the idea behind economic abuse is to limit the victim’s resources so that they are dependent on the abuser and cannot escape. dream only really allowed tommy to have the armor he gave him while not giving access to armor so he does not regain a sense of power, and in the prison stream, dream holds all the potatoes which puts him in a position of power over tommy. this argument is more ambiguous i feel cause the whole minecraft mechanics thing is kinda weird so u don’t necessarily have to take this part in.
i feel like i need to emphasize this very strongly because dream is not a good person. abuse cannot and should not be a response to someone. its an awful mentality to have. i just want to prove the point that dream is not a good person, his reasons absolutely do not justify his actions.
what makes a good redemption
redemption arcs are tricky. when done right they are great. when done poorly, its a slap in the face. rn im going to establish a formula to what makes a good redemption with an example.
the most well known example of a good redemption is zuko from atla. first, its the magnitude of what theyve done and why. zuko did commit some shitty actions, since he was in a position of power in the fire nation but its because he is a child being abused and wanted to regain honor. zukos real awful acts was season 1 and the whole betrayal thing. thats not to say that zukos actions suddenly are okay, he did shitty things. but its something that can be traced to a higher entity or seem less malicious then the other villains. the thing also about the magnitude of actions is that there is a certain point of atrocities that there is no redemption. some people simply cannot be redeemed because the actions they commit are so ingrained in their character or the action itself has serious moral issues that it would just be wrong.
the next is acknowleding what they did was wrong. a genuine reflection on the self and analyzing what they did and why it was not okay. zuko realized what he did to uncle iroh was bad for example. he turned his back on his father, realizing he didnt and shouldnt seek acknowledgment from someone as heinous as him. its pointing out your actions and going ‘hey, this wasnt right i should not have done this’ and not even excusing ur actions. its also going straight for the root of the problem and figuring out to stamp it from the source. just because a character is sad does not mean they are reflecting, sometimes they are attempting to garner pity. it has to be direct and clear acknowledgement of the injustice.
and finally, an important part about redemption arcs is the actual redemption part. its when you make amends. zuko made amends with katara by trying to help her get revenge, he fought against the fire nation and tried to make things more peaceful in his rule. he apologized to iroh. an important part of the amends section is that it does have to be a genuine desire to change and become a better person, not to change a person’s perception of you. the thing is u cant expect a person youve hurt to forgive you. you cant expect people to be sympathetic towards you nor should u attempt to make urself sympathetic. u shouldnt be expecting a pat on the back or an award. redemption is about internal and character change.
why dream should not be redeemed
ive already established the key points to a good redemption (imo) but heres where dream falls short. his actions are extremely heavy so redemption may not even really be possible. abuse is not something you can wave off so it does cross to the point of fucked up. acknowledgement of what he did was wrong? all he said was that he changed, yet never explained why he changed or was too vague. he needed to label specifically what he did and bring it up. attempting to make amends? he’s been doing the exact opposite in fact he continues to manipulate tommy and ranboo. its not a genuine change. he is still repeating the cycle and has given no indication of ceasing. at the moment he does not have any signs of redemption.
and the thing is most of the attention around a dream redemption comes from either justifying his motives (which i do want to emphasize does not make anything suddenly okay) and because he is sad in prison sad face. these are not good reasons. its gonna pain me severely to bring this up but snape from harry potter does have some form of sad character ig yet he very much abused his authority to bully children as old as 11 just because he said ‘aight gonna die’ doesnt suddenly make his general bigotry and abuse suddenly okay there is a threshold. again im so sorry for using harry potter as an example none were coming to mind and i needed a popular one i do not like harry potter please dont say i do i would pass away.
and the last thing to consider is the audience. keep in mind that the audience is composed of minors and while yes there are adults, minors are the main component of the fandom. keep in mind that there are quite a few people who can relate to tommys character because they might be in the same position or have gone through his experiences. tell me what kind of message does it send to that audience that abusers can be redeemed. this is not a narrative u should push to this audience in these situations and the writers are seemingly aware of it. remember how in exile tommy spiraled into a suicidal mentality? consider how fucked of a message it would be if he just committed suicide instead of escaping abuse and attempting to recover from his experiences. tommy did an excellent job in not going that route and having a message of ‘it will not get better’. its the same thing here. victims are not obligated to care for or forgive their abuser, and portraying an abuser as sympathetic might fuck with the message a lot, even change their perception in that ‘oh, maybe my abuser was right, maybe they had a reason for treating me the way they did’. this is not to say that every victim watching this will internalize this message, but people also look up to these characters. there can be a degree of influence from the story onto oneself and thats the dangerous part.
conclusion
all in all dream is a shitbag asshole and probably shouldnt get a redemption because it would not be pog thanks for coming to my ted talk.

Part III (1/2): chapters 19-25
Vs. Mahito Arc
Chapter 19 (aka why this blog exists)
Tumblr media
J:”Yeah, we know that. But we flatter her because she looks easy.”
⇒ ”And the three of them know it as well. But they flatter you exaggeratedly anyway because they think you’ll let them do you”
Actually Junpei’s lines.
Tumblr media
J:”I can’t believe people like that go to my school.”
Not incorrect, I just want to point out that Junpei didn’t just say “people”, the word he used is “race” (人種), which implies he doesn’t see them as the same kind of human he is.
Tumblr media
J:”Was it that guy who did it? There’s no way a person could do that! If he did it, he must not be human.”
⇒ “Was it that person just now? No, would such a thing be even possible for a human being? And if it was, would they really be a ‘human being’?”
Overall correct but the flow was different. Mind you, 人 can be translated both as “person” and “human being” (among others) depending on the context. Imo this captures the nuance better but YMMV!
Tumblr media
N:”I’m here to identify the truth and uphold the law. There was a time when I thought the society had the same goals”
⇒ ”Adapting to the facts [in front of you] and managing yourself accordingly. That’s who I am. There was a time where I mistakenly believed society operated on the same basis.”
This was really hard to translate, especially since the phrase Nanami uses here is rather formal language. I actually checked the official anime subtitles for this one and they went with “I adhere to the facts and judge on that basis”, which I guess is close enough? I’d probably go with it as well if not for the fact that he doesn’t just say 律する but 己を律する (己/onore = I/me in humble language).
Seems like the exact meaning of the phrase is difficult to understand even for Japanese people - there are whole articles out there breaking down the meaning and giving examples of how to implement it in life 8D Anyway, the simplest explanation is “to control yourself”, with further nuance of “enforcing rules on yourself in order to achieve a goal”, “restricting your desires and impulses by your own will” etc.
Thanks a lot, Gege.
Btw, Ino, who respects Nanami greatly and considers him a mentor, actually uses the same phrase, word for word, in ch. 95! (事実に即し、己を律する) That’s how important it is. Also, continuity!
Tumblr media
Y:”Let’s do it!”
N:”There’s no need to get excited”
⇒ Y:“Let’s go all out!!”
N:”No, if moderate’s enough, let’s just do it moderately”
They both used descriptors for just what kind of intensity they should approach the mission with. Imo, an important distinction because after they learn the full extent of the situation, Nanami takes back his words from this moment and agrees with Yuuji, going as far as to use the same words Yuuji did here.
Tumblr media
N:”I wonder what others would think hearing you say that”
⇒ “I’m sure the others wouldn’t want to hear that from you [of all people]”
So not so much “don’t be rude” as “dude, you’re the weirdest of them all”. Emphasis mine.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
N:”What I learned at Jujutsu High is that jujutsu sorcerers are idiots”
& “What I realized while at the office is that work is idiotic”
He actually says “shit” both times lol. If it was just the humour that suffered here, it still wouldn’t be too awful but unfortunately it’s not just that. The “sorcerers are shit” line gets recalled when Nanami’s facing death, trapped in Mahito’s domain, which makes it pretty damn important. It gets translated yet differently by the official release then, too, which further damages continuity I believe Gege intended for this.
Tumblr media
”So I took the lesser of two evils. Nothing more, nothing less”
⇒ “If both are shit, then I just chose the one I’m more cut out for. That’s all as far as the reason for my coming back is concerned.”
I mean, if we realllllly insist on watering down everything that Nanami says (as JJK translators apparently did), then the basic meaning was conveyed but the original wording and nuance was closer to what I proposed.
Tumblr media
N:”Prove to me that you can be useful in spite of the demon Sukuna inside of you”
⇒ “Give your best to prove that you’re useful despite carrying the bomb that Sukuna is.”
Considering how 2 pages later Nanami tells Yuuji that he’s not the one Yuuji should be proving himself to, it’d have been weird if this is actually what he’d said, wouldn’t it. But Nanami’s nothing if not reasonable, so that wasn’t the case.
Tumblr media
Y:”I’m weak and useless. I’ve been hearing a lot of that these days”
⇒ “That I’m weak and useless... I’ve been realising that to a painful extent these days”
“I’ve been hearing it” would imply that someone was actually saying it either to Yuuji himself or to others which he was aware of. (I mean, other than Sukuna.) The original wording doesn’t really hold such connotation.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
N:”If you think you’re in trouble, let me know”
Y:”Have some faith in me, will ya? Just a little.”
N:”It’s not about faith.(...)”
Y:”A child? I’d rather be underestimated”.
⇒ N:“If you decide you cannot win, please call me.”
Y:”Aren’t you underestimating me too much?”
N:”This is not about ‘underestimating’ or ‘not underestimating’.(...)
Y:”[Even] being underestimated would’ve been better over being treated like a kid.”
I guess the translators wanted to avoid saying “underestimate” 3 times in a row? Albeit that’s what the original does.
More importantly though!!
N:”I’m an adult and you’re a child. I have the obligation to look after you”
⇒ “(...) It’s my obligation to prioritise you over myself.”
Quite a different nuance, right. Not just “I have to look after you” but “your well-being [life] takes priority over my own”.
Tumblr media
N:”Experiencing these little losses is what helps people grow into adults”
⇒ “It’s the accumulation of such small despairs that turns people into adults”
Not that wildly different but despairs (hopelessnesses) >>> losses, y/y. Also “helps” made it sound more positive when it’s both a poignant and at the same time dry statement.
Chapter 20
Tumblr media
N:”There are techniques that aren’t affected if revealed to certain enemies”
Those two feel more like separate examples to me. I.e. that there are techniques that aren’t affected if revealed, and there are some enemies that you can afford to reveal your technique to. Could apply simultaneously but don’t necessarily have to, if that makes sense?
“There is a merit to revealing one’s hand and the rules it initiates. You can make your technique even more effective.”
⇒ “It has its merits too. The ‘binding’ of ‘revealing one’s hand’ amplifies the effectiveness of your technique.”
Wild lost “binding” appears! Like I indicated before, it’s the lack of consistency to translating terms that are consistent in the original, that has negatively affected the fans’ ability to understand the basics of jjk techniques and world-building.
Tumblr media
[Explaining Yuuji’s divergent fist]
GJ:”But it’s a lot easier said than done for anyone else.”
⇒ “It’s not something that can be easily done on purpose”
Tumblr media
N:”His physical strength is superhuman. The impact of his hit doesn’t have incredibly strong energy, but it’s still about 20% more than a normal sorcerer. That means his delayed hit comes from his main source of cursed energy. It must be quite annoying for those on the receiving end. Such potential. If he’s able to go out all and combine his full physical strength with a cursed technique…”
⇒ “(...) The initial impact contains little cursed energy but it still achieves 120% of an average sorcerer. And then the actual cursed energy hits with a delay. For those on the receiving end it must be more unpleasant than one could imagine. And he’s got potential for growth, too. If he becomes able to add 100% of cursed energy to a 100% body…”
Uhh, this was a tricky one because on the first read it doesn’t seem that terribly wrong but when you read the original carefully, you realise this and that got lost in translation. My version should be closer to the original meaning.
Tumblr media
I:”We’re going to have to ask the murderer about the technique”
⇒ “That’s just something that you can’t know unless you ask the offender about their technique”
Obviously Ieiri wasn’t suggesting to literally ask the murderer.
“However there’s evidence the brain stems were modified. Their consciousness were also modified to create a state of confusion”
⇒ (...) This was probably done to create a disturbance of consciousness... a state of mental confusion”
Slightly different nuance for this one.
Tumblr media
Y:”For me, the gravity of death is the same regardless. This isn’t right!”
First sentence is mostly correct but it should’ve been “the gravity of death of another person” (emphasis mine).
Second sentence sounds too mild for what is actually Yuuji being super mad specifically about the way those people were killed? The phrase he uses means something like "This is just in way too poor taste”, “way too vulgar” etc. I guess if you went for a less literal translation, you could say “just too disgusting”/”revolting”.
Tumblr media
N:”This matter won’t be taken care of so easily. Let’s do it”
⇒ “Looks like ‘moderately’ won’t be enough here. Let’s go all out.”
This is the instance of Nanami retracting his words and backing Yuuji up by borrowing his own words that I mentioned earlier!
Tumblr media
M:”Jujutsu sorcerers brand such entities as “special grade potential spirits” and fear them as much as powerful curses. The fact that they categorize them as such really shows their shallowness”
⇒ “Jujutsu sorcerers register them as “special grade potential apparitions” and remain on alert against them [on alert for their appearance]. The same applies to powerful unidentified curses. That they categorise them as ‘potential apparitions’ just shows how little they truly see.”
It’s not that sorcerers fear them per se but that they (most likely) monitor them and are on guard against them. When followed up by the “what people truly genuinely fear are natural disasters [forces of nature]” conversation, it becomes clear that what Mahito scorns sorcerers for is their short-sightedness for thinking all powerful curses must be born out of people’s imagination, ~urban legends~ etc.
Tumblr media
[Junpei asking what Mahito was born from]
M:”Thanks to the hatred spewed between people I was born”
⇒ “I’m a curse born out of the fear and hatred people harbour towards [other] people"
or even
“I’m a curse born out of people hating and fearing people”
Again a quite different nuance. They really shouldn’t have edited “fear” out.
Chapter 21
Tumblr media
J:’Don’t you think that whoever first said, ‘The opposite of love is not hate, it’s indifference’ must be rotting in hell? There’s no way hating people is better than feeling indifferent towards them.”
⇒ “(...) There’s no way that approaching others with evil intentions is better than not interacting [with them] at all”
The first sentence is mostly fine although the original doesn’t include the “is not hate” bit, it only says “the opposite of love is indifference”. The second part is quite different. After all, hating doesn’t necessarily imply there’s any action taken.
Tumblr media
“Complicating simple things for the sake of meaning is such a Japanese thing to do”
⇒ “Japanese sure love it - complicating simple answers and gloating in it”
I didn’t like the “for the sake of meaning” bit, imo it’s over-interpreting.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
J:”Indifference. That’s what humans should strive for.”
M:”Sounds more like revenge”
J:“Are you saying that I got it all mixed up?”
Junpei’s first line here is fine although interestingly enough he puts it as “a virtue humans should strive for”. Then it’s
⇒ M:“And yet you wish for revenge”
J:”Are you trying to say I’m contradicting myself?”
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
M:”In this world, only I understand the soul’s composition. I can even transmogrify living beings. Emotions come from the soul. It’s too simplistic to call it ‘heart’. People overthink the things they can’t see. (...)”
⇒ “In this world I’m the only one who understands the soul’s composition. After all, I change the shape of living beings by touching it. Emotions are products of the metabolism of the soul. It’s altogether too mechanical [of a process] to call it a heart. People assign too much value to things invisible to the eye.(...)”
Last one is literally “consider ‘special’ way too much”, simpler wording than what I went with but I tried to make it more legible.
The “metabolism of the soul” phrase is especially vital because Junpei throws it at Yuuji almost word for word when confronted by him at the school after his mother’s death.
Tumblr media
More philosophy lessons from Mahito-sensei \o/
“Don’t limit yourself to just being indifferent. There’s no reason to live by such a restricting philosophy.”
⇒ “Don’t allow yourself to be shackled by the ideal called ‘indifference’. There’s no need for there to be consistency in one’s way of life.”
Mahito actually takes the “is ‘consistency’ necessary” stance a few times in the manga, including when he and Getou squabble about the relationship between the body and the soul in Shibuya. A pity about the mistranslation here.
Tumblr media
“I support everything you represent, Junpei”
⇒ “I’ll affirm your everything, Junpei”
Imo the act of supporting and the act of affirming while similar aren’t one and the same, hence the change.
Tumblr media
N:”Either come alone, or risk bringing Itadori with me. I chose the former, nothing more. He’s still a child, after all.”
⇒ “The risk of venturing [into the enemy’s territory] alone, or the risk of bringing Itadori-kun with me. I simply chose the former. He’s still a child, after all.”
Idk, I feel like cutting out “the risk” from the first option makes Nanami sound more callous? Like Yuuji’s a liability and going by himself is a sounder option. Whereas, it was actually him weighing two risks against each other and deciding that potentially endangering Yuuji is the one he can afford less.
Tumblr media
[After Yuuji asks why he doesn’t know important jujutsu related stuff.]
I:”Because Gojou’s your mentor.” ⇒ “it’s because Gojou’s ...”
He actually uses a lovely adjective to describe Gojou, which can mean a plethora of things, including: irresponsible, sloppy, lazy, unreliable, careless, perfunctory etc. etc.
Ichiji? Not a member of Gojou Satoru Fanclub.
Y:”This feels like a bad plan”
⇒ “This feels so staged, I don’t like it.”
Lit. “play [perform, read] one's own work”. I think what Yuuji might’ve meant here was that the plan felt dishonest? Second sentence could also be “I don’t feel up for it.”
Chapter 22
Tumblr media
M:”Was that some kind of cursed technique?”
N:”What do you mean by ‘some kind’? I don’t appreciate questions that are left open to interpretation”
⇒ “(...) I hate abstract questions that put the whole burden on the other person”
Lit. “that leave it to others”. Other than Nanami being more straightforward with “hate”/”dislike”, I think this was him expressing he doesn’t like people who don’t even try to think for themselves and immediately demand answers from others instead.
Tumblr media
“It would be silly to not assume a connection(...)”
⇒ “It would be more unnatural not to assume a connection(...)”
Different wording (unnatural instead of silly), which imo affects Nanami’s characterisation.
Tumblr media
M:”The shape of the body will always be dependent on the shape of the soul”
This sounds a bit too passive and generic? Closer to “The shape of the body gets pulled along by the shape of the soul”, which is literally what Mahito’s technique does.
Tumblr media
I’m heavily paraphrasing but!
magazine raw scans: ”it's 6:30 PM now and I started working at 11 AM, so I'm going to finish by 7PM no matter what”
official English release:”it's 5:30 PM now and I started at 10, gotta finish by 6”
The time change is so random, I wonder if Gege simply changed it themselves for the volume release. Maybe to bring it closer to the common office job times? Typical Japanese work day at the office begins at 9AM and lasts 8h + 1h break (completely unpaid but compulsory). I guess if Nanami skipped the break then working 10AM-6PM would make it exactly 8h?
The biggest mystery of jjk.
Chapter 23
Tumblr media
M:”Even if sorcerers can protect their bodies using cursed energy, they can’t protect their souls”
⇒ “Even if sorcerers can protect their bodies using cursed energy, they [just] aren’t used to protecting their souls”.
So it’s not that they “can’t” as in “are incapable of” and more that there’s never been the need, so they never learned how and aren’t used to doing it. As proven by Yuuji later it’s not impossible.
Tumblr media
M:”Overtime? He restricts himself based on time! He was limiting his power until now!”
⇒ “Overtime work? A ‘biding’ based on time! He was suppressing his power by himself until now!”
Another instance where “binding” as a term makes its appearance (it even uses quotation marks) but wasn’t properly denoted by the translators.
Tumblr media
M:”A large-scale attack, and he doesn’t care if he gets hit while doing it!”
⇒ “A large-scale attack [done] with the resolve of [potentially] getting killed along with me!”.
The phrase Mahito uses here is 相打ち, lit. “killing [hitting] each other at the same time”. Also, “doesn’t care” and “is prepared/has the resolve” are quite different, aren’t they.
Chapter 24
Tumblr media
J:”The way a perfectionist is willing to lay everything out there is beautifully portrayed”
⇒ ”The change in emotions [leading up] to a perfectionist abandoning everything is properly portrayed here”
I’m including this because knowing Gege, it’s not just simple movie talk, and it’s actually foreshadowing Yuuji’s future fate or something 8D
I can’t decide if it’s “abandon” (also “throw out of the window”) or “sacrifice” because the word used can mean either. I’m leaving that to everyone’s interpretation.
Tumblr media
“Like I thought, that sorcerer’s nuts!”
⇒ “He doesn’t look it but he sure does reckless things, that sorcerer”
How does "he doesn't look it but (...)" even become "like I thought (...)"? He was laughing at and enjoying the contrast between Nanami's appearance/attitude and his actions/fighting.
Tumblr media
M:”My cursed energy is also controlled by my will”
⇒ “The spending of cursed energy too is among things I can supply by myself.”
I’m not entirely sure because it’s a tricky one, so take this one with a grain of salt. But the official release is definitely missing “spending/expenditure” and Mahito isn’t talking about using/manipulating his cursed energy in general but “the amount of cursed energy spent”.
Tumblr media
“Mr. Irresponsible Gojou” ⇒  “Devil-may-care Gojou-san”
“Mr. Mature Nanami” ⇒ “The adult of [all] adults Nanami-san”/”the adult above all adults”
I just really enjoy Ichiji and his little epithets, I guess.
Tumblr media
J:”Have you ever killed anyone?”
⇒ “Have you ever killed a human being/another human?”
Just putting it out there because imo there's a distinction between “anyone” and “a human being”. Especially considering how much of this arc was questioning what being a human means.
Tumblr media
Y:”Um… I mean, the choice to kill will definitely find its way to me”
⇒ "How to put it... once I've killed someone, "killing" would become one of the possible options [to take] in my life".
Maybe the nuance was there in the official release too and I just didn't pick up on it but to me the former makes it sound more like he’s saying "I may still have to kill one day". Whereas the original seems to hold the connotation that if you do something once - even if it’s something as horrible as killing another human being - it becomes easier to do it again in the future because it's a choice you've made before, it's not untouchable anymore.
Chapter 25
Tumblr media
[Yuuji expressing his regret over Nanami choosing to go fight Mahito alone.]
"Am I in your way, Nanamin?”
⇒ “Am I a burden [to you], Nanamin?”
A different nuance for this line.
“’My friend died but I wasn’t there because I’m a child.’ I wouldn't do that to you. That said"
⇒ "’My comrade died. But I wasn’t there. Why? Because I am a child.’ I would hate something like that" [to be put in such a position]
And this is just pure mistranslation. The whole “my comrade died but I wasn’t there because I’m a child” line is actually Yuuji painting a possible scenario (he does it with short sentences but the speech is overall polite). What they translated as “that said” was actually a follow-up to that scenario and could be translated as “something like that”.
Tumblr media
N:”Being a child is not a bad thing”
⇒ “Being a child is in no way a crime”
I wanted to point this out since the original word’s most common meaning is actually “sin”, which is significantly heavier than just “not a bad thing”. Could also go with a milder “is not something to feel guilty about” here I guess.
Tumblr media
G:”How’s the curtain coming along?”
M:”Can’t get in, can get out. This only applies to humans with weak cursed energy.”
⇒ G:”What’s the effect of the ‘curtain’?”
M:“Can't get out from the inside, can get in from the outside. (...)”
Literally the opposite for the curtain’s effect. Emphasis is Gege’s, too! Also Getou’s question was actually about how exactly the curtain in question would work, and not just how it was coming along.
Tumblr media
M:”We’ll make them fight and force Yuji Itadori to make a binding vow in Sukuna’s favor”
Just to reiterate, whenever “binding vow” appears, it’s actually just “binding”.

Dark UI Design: Introduction, Principles, and Tips
ValueLight and darkish makes use of colors is important to growth value.Nowadays, UI UX designers use numerous modes in designing websites or apps. Most of the time they opt to use a darkish UI layout or mild UI layout. Dark cell UI layout is extensively utilized in designing. It conveys power, luxury, elegance, style. Dark mode UI layout gives numerous problems so there may be a want to apply UI net layout darkish perfectly, in order that they appear elegant.
Dark UI vs Light UI
Designers see an emblem fit, cultural suitability, color psychology and examine the emotional impression. It’s a complicated balancing act. In the economic app, their target market is different, so in the main UI designers use cool elements. Using too rich, darkish, fashionable turns into disturbing whilst human beings strive to test their balances or pay a bill.
Dark UI layout is tough in B2B SaaS apps due to the fact the use of internet UI elements like tables, data, widgets, paperwork, or drop-down seems extraordinary on a darkish topic UI layout.
Various color styles don’t paintings efficaciously with darkish mode UI layout as it relies upon brands, product type, context, and environmental elements.
The contrast in Dark UI Design
When we communicate approximately comparison in a darkish cell UI layout, we do now no longer bear in mind the black subject as a darkish subject. There is likewise a low-mild subject and the number one problem with darkish UIs is pleasant sufficient comparison so visible elements and textual content are legible. Most of the time UI designers use black to complete sturdy comparisons. It is higher to now no longer use proper black for backgrounds or overlaying hues.
It is black for UI factors which might be used occasionally. We use black for miniature UI factors or an enclosing bezel. Many designers propose which includes an in-depth darkish blue tint to darkish grays for specifying the color scheme. It creates an extra dependable darkish tone for virtual monitors and a captivating darkish UI color palette.
If we layout consistent with color psychology, it expresses numerous hues the way it pertains to people. In each country, hues utilized in extraordinary methods like black are worried about death, mystery, and evil in western cultures. Green color pertains to growth, or blue is called easy color due to the fact we correlate it with sky and water. Digital merchandise with a darkish UI layout linked with strength, grace, that that are in trends.

Texture
It allows in break up the monotony with styles in place of the usage of snapshots and appears stylish in layout.
Space
Space allows creating consistency, adaptability in complicated designs. It allows apprehending the layout format.
Size
It attracts attention to sizeable elements of the layout. UI UX designers use length in step with the area of interest of the product.

Contrast
The clothier makes use of darkish & mild assessment colorings to characteristic number one factors.
8 Tips For Dark UI Design
There are many ways to use dark UI design entirely. Let us discuss some tips to recall when we use dark mode UI design for the product.
Never Use Pure Black/White
It is higher to apply a darkish subject in our darkish UI layout due to the fact the natural white textual content does now no longer moves nicely with natural black history. The uncommon evaluation appears unpleasant, so it's miles higher to apply darkish grey because of the main floor shadeation.
Dark grey coverings lower eye strain & mild textual content on a darkish grey floor has insufficient evaluation than mild textual content on a black floor. Dark grey canvas suggests a complete variety of shadeation, altitude, and intensity due to the fact it’s less difficult to peer darkness on grey alternately to proper black.
outgrowing
Saturated hues that appearance remarkable on mild surfaces visually resound towards darkish surfaces, making them more difficult to read. There is a want to desaturate number one hues to evaluate competently towards the darkish floor. UI UX designers use mild tones for higher clarity on darkish subject surfaces. The not unusual place versions do not make the UI much less effective however help to offer evaluation without growing eye strain.
Approachability Color Contrast
It guarantees that content material is pleasantly readable in Dark Mode. When the use of darkish subject surfaces, it's miles predicted to be darkish sufficient to symbolize white textual content. According to Google, Material Design makes use of an evaluation stage of at least 15.8:1 inside textual content and the history.
Practice “On” hues for textual content
“On” hues are hues that display up “on” pinnacle of elements & vital surfaces. We commonly use them for textual content. The default “on” sedation for a darkish subject is natural white, however, it's miles a sparkly shadeation and visibly “vibrates” towards darkish backgrounds. Google Material layout continually indicates preserving a substantially darker white:
The high-depth textual content has the darkness of 87%
It applies medium significance textual content to 60%
The disabled textual content adopts obscurity of 38%
The light textual content on a darkish history appears extra bright than darkish on mild. It is right to apply lighter font weights for darkish mode.
Analyze Emotional Perspective
In designing a darkish UI layout for an app, desires to attain out an equal variety of feelings in darkish mode. We diagnosed numerous hues relying on their history.
It indicates a darkish subject does now no longer deliver similar to the mild subject. A darkish and mild subject continually excites numerous feelings & it's miles sufficient to take credit score for product identity. A darkish mode continually does now no longer ought to be received from the prevailing mild subject.
Communicate Intensity
In mild subject layout, the growing darkish subject UI layout is needed to construct hierarchy and spotlight huge factors withinside the layout. In mild mode, UI/UX designers use shadows to show elevation.
The better the floor goes, the deeper a shadow it casts, however the identical approach does now no longer paintings in a darkish subject due to the fact it's miles tough to peer a shadow on a darkish history. It is suitable to investigate the floor of every stage. In darkish themes, the fashion dressmaker makes use of material-raised surfaces, elements that assist in growing darkish cell UI layout.
Never Convert Light To Dark
It influences to pick while on or off darkish themes, however, this selection serves to terrible UX. It is dependable now no longer to apply auto-allowing a darkish subject, & customers follow a darkish subject on or off practicing UI control. Users can determine mode manually, primarily based totally on their necessities that name for area and layout the switcher.
Test Design In Both Forms
It is higher to check your darkish UI layout in each appearance and enhance the layout as required to extrude everyone. Analyze your product after dusk, with heat lighting.

RECORD - READING - EAPP
Unit 1: The Nature of Academic Texts The lesson 1 titled Structure of Academic Texts I discovered that Structure of Academic Texts is all approximately Structuring Paragraphs, Structuring the Three-Part Essay and Structuring IMRaD. First, I discovered approximately Structuring Paragraphs that’s one of the vital functions of educational writing, and all of us realize that a paragraph is a set of sentences that deal in general with one subject matter or concept at a time. There also are 3 elements of a paragraph which are, first, is the Topic Sentence. The Topic Sentence is the primary factor of the paragraph at the same time as Supporting Sentences helps the primary concept of the paragraph, and Transitional Sentences is used to give up a paragraph and put together the subsequent paragraph for the creation of the subsequent concept. Illustration, definition, classification, assessment and contrast, and process is the one of a kind forms of styles of improvement observed in a paragraph. Also, In Structuring the Three-component Essay there are the three elements of an essay which are the Introduction, body, and conclusion. Structuring IMRaD or additionally recognised as Structuring Introduction, Methods, Results, and Discussion, with a Conclusion. The context of the take a look at and what the take a look at will entail are usually covered withinside the Introduction, at the same time as the Methods are a part of this unique structure that designate how the studies questions and goal had been met and answered. The effects phase affords the effects and the way they had been gathered with inside the methods, It is likewise endorsed to apply graphs and charts to provide information for a higher understanding. Captions also are vital in providing information due to the fact the readers might not study the complete text. Furthermore, the information or figures need to now no longer be repeated with inside the text In The lesson 2 I found out approximately Academic Texts throughout the Disciplines and it explains approximately The Academic Disciplines, Connections throughout Disciplines, and Articulating Different Positions in Academic Writing. In The Academic Disciplines I found out that the educational disciplines has diverse branches beneath them which might be the accounting, economics, finance and control advertising for Business. Art, innovative writing, languages, literature, etc. for Humanities. Natural and carried out sciences additionally have biology, chemistry, pc science, engineering, etc. and anthropology. Education, geography, history, and regulation for the Social sciences. Each subject and its branches have its very own groups with their very own languages, communique styles, and approaches of communique. Connection throughout Disciplines is all approximately the disciplines that aren’t so distinctive in improvement and purpose. Disciplines are advanced and designed to assist us make experience of our global and phenomena. We also can advantage greater expertise approximately the arena whilst a practitioner can construct on a perviously hooked up frame of labor from his or her subject. Studies are regularly used in this motive subject calls for you to utilize reassets in shape of beyond papers, magazine entries and experiments. This enables now no longer best your very own studies however additionally the subject itself, as you’re supporting expan and upload to the preceding research for your chosen subject. Furthermore, With greater expertise in distinctive disciplines, you becomes higher at understanding how your very own specialization can healthy with the relaxation of the arena. Lastly, at the lesson three titled Articulating Different Positions in Academic Writing talks approximately that any field you to select to go into already has some of debates, studies, controversies, and experiments which have been happening for years, if now no longer many years or centuries. There are long-status binary oppositions in every field that allow you to make extra feel of the exclusive issues,
themes, and subjects you may come across whilst analyzing educational texts and engaging in your personal studies withinside the future. Production-intake and exertions capital are the binary oppositions of Business, at the same time as Humanities have artist-way of life and text-context, Natural and carried out sciences additionally have empiricism-rationalism and observer-subject, and nature-nurture and loose will-determinism for Social sciences. These are only a few examples of the numerous binaries located in every field. With effort and time you’ll be capable of pinpoint those binaries withinside the educational texts you study in addition to decide different binaries in the disciplines. Unit 2: Thesis Statement and Outlining In this subject matter I discovered that during a instructional paper Thesis Statement could be very essential due to the fact it’s miles the principle concept in an effort to dictate the cause and glide of your arguments withinside the relaxation of your paper. There are a few traits in thesis announcement and one in every of them is that, it suggests in which you stand concerning the problem depend you’re discussing. Your instructional paper have to be persuasive due to the fact in writing instructional paper or studies our purpose is is commonly persuade our readers to do not forget our stand, and via way of means of that to persuade them, the relaxation of our paper have to comprise proof in an effort to assist again up you thesis announcement to be able to pursuade others to take your stand. Furthermore, the frame of your paper have to then guide and protect your thesis. In Outlining Academic Texts I discovered that developing an define is one of the remaining steps of the prewriting stage, it facilitates the author to categorize the principle factor of the subject matter, arrange the paragraphs and to ensure that the paragraphs are absolutely developed. An define acts in the end facilitates the author to now no longer get caught even as she or he is writing an essay. When writing a subject define simplest terms or predominant thoughts are needed. There isn’t anyt any want to write down the whole sentences it additionally makes use of wording this is parallel to each other that’s way that the identical layout is used for headings and subheading for organization. Sentence define uses sentences, which means all headings and subheadings need to be in sentences form. Unit 3: Writing a Summary I found out that a precis is a short announcement or the primary factors of a paragraph or in research. Summarizing must reproduce the important thing thoughts and factors of a text, figuring out the overall standards that be successful during the whole piece, and to explicit those standards and thoughts with particular and particular language. There are strategies in writing a precis which can be the previewing, skimming and scanning. In writing a precis it’s miles vital to feature the identify and the author’s call withinside the first sentence and the author’s thesis too, in order that it is straightforward to don’t forget what the important thing factors are, it additionally makes it simpler to navigate via your precis. We must additionally keep away from evaluations or private responses in our precis and be extra aware to keep away from plagiarism. Furthermore, a right precis may be used that will help you to applicable statistics you may want on your educational writing. The Aims of summarizing texts are to breed the overarching concepts so as to spot the final concepts and to specific the overarching ideas victimisation precise and specific language. There are steps in summarizing texts and one amongst them is, the author’s thesis statement ought to be indicated within the initial 2 sentences. It conjointly should be break down the text or analysis into the most ideas before summarizing the complete texts and skip the ideas that don’t seem to be relevant to the whole text. Unit 4: Writing from Sources I learned that in paraphrasing it doesn’t need you to quote from
the supply text, paraphrasing could be a statement of a text, passage, or work to precise the which means in another form. An honest paraphrase shows however the author perceive what he or she reading. There are completely different forms of paraphrasing that are the amendment of components of speech, change of structure, clause reduction, and equivalent word replacement and also there also are kinds of plagiarism which are, first, the verbatim plagiarism, order plagiarism, and the plan plagiarism. In techniques in paraphrasing I learned that there are many techniques which will be accustomed paraphrase effectively, that are the change of words and also the change of phrase structure. In change of words we will change the a part of speech, use synonyms, and alter numbers and percentages to completely different forms. Whereas dynamical the sentence structure we can change the word order, use different definition structures, use different attribution signals, and change the sentence structure and use different conjunctions. In paraphrasing we should always not change the correct nouns and technical terms and that we should maintain the which means of the text once we’re paraphrasing a texts. Lastly, paraphrasing vs. quoting, I learned that Quoting includes taking what the author declared associated continuance it word-for-word. This technique is usually used for terms or fast sentences. As mentioned in preceding lessons, repetition an author’s phrases verbatim is often classified as plagiarism. To stay faraway from this, it’ way essential to surround the derived matter content in citation marks (“ “) while quoting and characteristic the phrases to the authentic author. After we are getting to use quotation in our writing we should always initial introduce, cite, and justify (ICE method) the quotation we are going to be using. Unit 5: Citing Sources of data In citation designs I learned that a citation is manner to supply credit score to the authors, scientists, analysisers, so forth whose innovative and intellectual work you wont to guide or supplement your terribly own research and A citation vogue dictates what data is very important to incorporate in a very citation, however that data have to be compelled to be organized, what punctuations are used, and completely different format concerns. There are 3 different citation styles that are the yankee Psychological Association (APA) which is commonly employed in education, psychology, and also the social sciences and fashionable Language Association (MLA) is often employed in the humanities whereas Chicago/Turabian vogue is commonly used in business, history and fine arts. In writing in-text citations, endnotes, and footnotes I learned the format for in-text citations in APA uses the author-date-page number(s) while the format for in-text citations in MLA uses the author-page number(s) additionally the} format for AD for CMOS ises author-date-page number(s), but CMOS also permits writers to utilize NB, wherever all references are found in either the footnotes or endnotes. Furthermore, Footnotes and endnotes for APA and MLA ought to be restricted and are usually used for additional content for different references. Lastly, In writing a listing I learned that a bibliography lists all of the sources you used for your analysis and extra background reading. This includes even works that you simply failed to find yourself referencing in your paper and a reference list or a works cited page is comparable to a bibliography, however it solely contains the sources you expressly cited in your paper. Furthermore, The 3 citation designs organize and format their bibliographies and their listing entries differently.

Individual Responsibility to Society
Introduction
As humans, we have the capability of creating beautiful works of art. Leonardo da Vinci was most well known for the Mona Lisa. Vincent Van Gogh created the Starry Night. Johannes Vermeer made Girl with a Pearl Earing and Milchelangelo with the Sistine Chapel. These are just a few works admired by millions if not billions as works that could have only been completed by intellectuals. People flock from around the world for an opportunity to see such talent on display not recognizing that they themselves are artist in nature. A mosaic of people of many colors defined by many different types of pieces trying to figure out how to best fit into a pattern we call community. What makes any work of art a masterpiece is not just putting imagination on to canvass but the ability to carefully choose the colors, manage those colors, stay within the lines, and holding themselves accountable to every paint stroke made.
Carefully Choosing the Colors
The world is a complexed series of problems on a canvass designed by many colors. Those many colors are the people within a community that cross intersect to make one complete picture. Within those colors are a mixture of ingredients that make up the shades that if not monitored, causes imperfections in the final work: unemployment, political violence, poverty, and ecological disasters all of which exist but dependent on the skill of the painter get overlooked despite being the things we should care about the most. What makes these problems so complexed is how they intersect one another on the canvass as colors mix. The more paint that is applied to the canvass and the more colors that are chosen, the more they become entangled and more difficult to manage. While some may go unphased by the harsh chemicals, it does not go unnoticed that the mixtures cause reprehensible results which if corrected early enough has a new unique perspective to the picture but if left unaddressed, could in worst case destroy the work and waste the time spent developing it.
Managing of the Colors
For those viewing our painting - our community, what perspective are we providing to them? The actions of individuals within our community gives sanction to the viewer of the art to determine which color is most relevant.  It also allows any viewer to pose the questions of “Are any of these colors important to me, If I were the artist, what colors would I have chosen instead, and what does the entire picture mean to me? We based these questions on cultural values and beliefs which helps us answering fundamental questions to what colors one chooses to focus on or find most appealing. In a 2007 journal on the study of Youth Sense of Community: Voice and Power In Community Context, Scot Evans (Author) concludes the importance of adolescents involvement in community affairs. In this study, youth express their views of their society and what matters to them citing while they have a high interest in contributing, “…teenagers are often unequipped and under supported to participate fully and feel like they are making meaningful contributions to society.” Teens themselves are of a separate color on the pallet that is often ignored or given equal consideration especially those young people “who are disadvantaged or members of minority groups” (S. Evans, 2007).
Staying Within the Lines
Both teens and adults have a similar set of values and that has evolved throughout history a system of governance that selects values and beliefs based on those most shared. This governing is imposed on the people as the “Rule of Law” (J. Hart, 2014). The theory behind the rule of law is designed to govern the decorum of the people within a society that are fair and equitable. This system throughout history has not been perfect but in the description of democracy, has stood through the test of time by its foundational principles of governing by the people with majority rule and with ultimate authority from its people. This is important to our societal canvass as we are essentially giving the colors that make up the painting the power to choose what is considered out of bounds or outside the lines of the painting we intend on creating.
Within a democratic society is the creation of government systems and within that, courts. The purpose of these courts is to take a common set of beliefs and values and implement them into law to protect people from other people. Originally designed to be judicial in nature, western society courts have progressed into an inclusive affair where the public through concepts of faith become involved in the decision making of what is socially acceptable. The involvement of people that are governed included the “participation in local law enforcement and administration (as sheriffs, JPs and constables) or juries (grand and petty) and, indeed, in parliament itself (as lawmakers) …” (J. Hart JR, 2014). This invited society to buy into an idea of shared responsibility and “…the commitment to the traditional means and methods of English government.  The United States continues to maintain the concept of shared responsibility through government practice in the appointments of peace officers of similar title at a local level, judges and magistrates at all levels, and the election of congressional and senatorial positions for both state and federal level. Collectively, the bodies of these entities collaborate with the communities in which they serve to solve complexed quality of life issues. To be effective, they all must make a commitment to enforcing laws in an equal and equitable manner.
The principles of a societal occupied justice system are not just for the purposes of societal cohesion but too personal gain. In a free society, people are afforded the right to explore financial independence through entrepreneurship. Entrepreneurial ventures invite innovation which as a byproduct also invites competitors to steal the ideas of one to make it their own. Individuals of society are sought to play roles in the civil judicial system to protect the rights of intellect that contribute to economic growth. Civil judicial courts as defined by Glenn Hubbard and Patrick O’Brien in “Macroeconomics” are independent courts who make decisions free of influence from any other portion of the government, governed people who have connections to political influence or any person who intimidates by criminal gang. These courts are expected to be used to make decisions based solely on law.
The legal protections of our society are lines on our canvass we have chosen to remain in to maintain order. These same lines are what society collectively create through majority vote and like the practice of artist leading to a perfect masterpiece, we are continuing to improve upon. When we work outside the lines it lends opportunity to anarchy, unrest, and disorder. This is the paint finding its way away from the canvass, splattered throughout the room in places it should never belong. As a society, working collectively, we can paint a beautiful work of art. The best direction is to embrace each color to help complement one another and, in some cases, create new colors.
Accountability to Every Paint Stroke
Some of the colors used in paintings share similar tones. What is a simple brown can be changed to a lighter or darker form of brown. We recognize these slight variations as a family of tones. A color that is mixed into another loses its identity as one color and becomes a totally different color. As it pertains to civic responsibility, we see this happen when it comes to influence on youth. According to the study of Youth Sense of Community: Voice and Power in Community Context (S. Evans, 2007), people demonstrate a higher interest in personal responsibility and accountability when they are introduced to civics and politics at an adolescent age. Youth not only have a higher interest in civics but to are “…more likely to consider public interest an important life goal when their families emphasized an ethic of social responsibility (S. Evans, 2007). When there is an absence of influence from family, there are plenty of replacements today through technology that fill the void that shapes the views of teens. Social media and online content are huge replacements that manipulate the values and beliefs in teens as they become adults.
Youth are encouraged to engage in civic programs like student body councils and Mayor Youth Council (MYC) which help them with problem solving and understand the necessity of community partnership for the greater good of all within the community. Engaging in civic government programs, teens have positions of power bestowed upon them. In Evans study, he concluded that when this power is gained, they are more conscience of their personal responsibility to the community. The students in the study also expressed their want to better their communities after becoming aware of inequalities within and outside of their own communities “revealing how their opportunities to play meaningful roles promote their developing sense of social responsibility to the agency.”
Conclusion
As a society working collectively, we can paint a beautiful work of art. The best direction is to embrace each color to help complement one another and, in some cases, create new colors. As contributing colors to the painting, we have a voice to influence the significance of our own color within the painting governed by the rule of law where the colors on the canvass dictate what is fair and just. When we say, “The system isn’t fair,” The question that we should ask ourselves is: “How are we contributing to it?” To create a picture we want others to see, we must become involved. We must find a way to carefully put our color on to the canvass, staying within the lines and holding ourselves accountable for the strokes we make. Are we becoming a part of the painting as designed, or are we fighting against it?

Side Effects of Insecticides on Beneficial Insects: A Practical Tool to Identify Organic Agroecosystems
Authored by R González Ruiz
Tumblr media
Introduction
In order to achieving sustainability, integrated pest management (IPM) represents a remarkable improvement over previous conventional approaches [1]. This crop production and phytosanitary protection model combines different management strategies and practices for healthy crops, to bring the pest organism to acceptable limits with the least possible ecological disturbance [2]. This includes the establishment of population thresholds for pests, which determine the need for chemical control, minimizing risks to human health and beneficial organisms. Currently, an area of 392,362 hectares of olive groves corresponds to IPM in Andalusia (southern Spain), which according to the regional government, it represents 71% of the total area dedicated to olive cultivation.
IPM does not necessarily require the suppression of insecticides, but rather affects the need to reduce their dependence, by eliminating unnecessary applications. A well-developed IPM program, based on science, provides a wide range of techniques and offers new possibilities for pest control, which is obviously dependent on the use of pesticides [3]. In spite of this, insecticides represent essential elements on which the sustainability of an integrated management program depends, and it is very likely that this will continue as long as these products are available, effective and economically available [4]. With this objective, IPM programs resulted in safer and more judicious use of pesticides, flexible enough to integrate information about their impact on pests and their natural enemies, maintaining the quality of the ecosystem [3,5].
Among the IPM objectives are to successfully prevent the emergence of resistant populations, protecting beneficial insects by enhancing their action [6], which has been focused on: i / The conservation / enhancement of natural populations of beneficial insects through to effective management of the agricultural environment (natural control), and ii /The increase of their populations through mass releases in the area of cultivation (biological control). Both allow to manage the pests efficiently and are compatible with the environment and with other control tactics [7,8]. First point includes habitat management, such as the establishment of an herbaceous plant cover, which, in addition to limiting the erodibility [9], is intended to enhance the natural control mechanisms [10-17].
Since insecticides constitute an essential part of IPM, this approach makes it necessary to evaluate their impact on beneficial fauna [4]. Most of the existing studies analyze the lethal effect of insecticides, including synthetic and natural products, but research on the sub lethal effects is still scattered. In field crops, lower doses / concentrations of insecticide occur, after the application is degraded by factors such as rainfall, temperature and sunlight. This means that a great proportion of non-target insects are mainly affected by sublethal dose/concentration values [18]. A sublethal dose/concentration defined as inducing no apparent mortality in the experimental population [19]. It is stated that, in general, doses / concentrations of insecticide below the lethal median (LD50 / LC50) are considered sublethal [20]. Sublethal effects have been described affecting biology, physiology, or behavior of individuals or populations that survive to the exposure to a toxicant at lethal or sublethal dose/concentration [4,20]. The sublethal effects may be manifested as reductions in life span, development rates, population growth, fertility, fecundity, changes in sex ratio, deformities, feeding, searching and oviposition [21-23]. The sublethal doses / concentrations of insecticides cause many alterations in the behavior of insects, interfering with their chemical communication system, thus reducing the chances of efficient localization of a pheromone source [20]. Among the induced symptoms have been described: jerky movements, overexcitation and hyperactivity [24-27]. Stimulation, as well as depression, of general locomotor behavior has also been cited, both for walking and for flying, causing uncoordinated or even convulsive movements, which therefore negatively affect reproductive processes, host location, dispersion, migration and food [4,21-23]. Nonetheless, these effects do not necessarily cause mortality of affected individuals, since the use of the term “insectistatics” [28] is suggested to apply it to those agents that can interfere with the processes of growth and reproduction, without necessarily killing. Quite the contrary, this set of behavioral modifications provide insects with an escape mechanism from the toxic effects of pesticides, which is why they have been called behavioral resistance since it provides the first barrier or mechanism of detoxification. The affected insects having this skill show hyperreflexia, with a trend to start the flight more easily [29-31].
Among the side effects of insecticides, it has been reported that beneficial arthropods are severely affected by sublethal effects [4,19,20], although their impact has often been overlooked or underestimated. The determination of the side effects of insecticides acquires special relevance when considering the evolution of their populations in agricultural ecosystems. In the European Union, the registration and selection of insecticides for inclusion in IPM programs requires knowing their side effects on non-target organisms [32, 33]. As indicated in Table 1, dimethoate stand out in olive growing, being the most common insecticide, in both Conventional and IPM, among which the main difference consists in the criteria that determine the application of the insecticide. In the first case they are applied routinely, while in IPM their use is determined by the establishment of pest’s population thresholds, which implies a considerable saving of insecticides with respect to conventional management. In view of the notable differences between them, the need to assess the impact of this reduction in the application of insecticides on the behavior of the populations of beneficial insects has been raised [34,35]. Since Insecticide applications induce behavioral modifications in natural enemies’ insects affected by sublethal doses, it is likely their effects have an impact on the capture rates recorded in monitoring commonly used in olive growing, devices, such as the sticky chromatic traps, [15,36]. In order to detect anomalies in the capture rates of nontarget insects, field experiments based on experimental insecticide applications on a small scale have been carried out, as a trigger for behavioral reactions of insects affected by sub lethal doses. The hypothesis of these studies is based on the statement that the beneficial insects under the managements that commonly include the application of insecticide (conventional, IPM) have most likely developed behavioral patterns that are a first step in acquiring resistance [4]. Therefore, insect species affected by sublethal doses would have developed lineages with behavioral modifications that would allow them to adapt to relatively frequent contact with insecticides, unlike what would happen in ecologically managed agroecosystems.
Discussion
It is obvious to consider that the frequency of the insecticide application constitutes the main limiting factor of the diversity and abundance of the community of beneficial insects. It was also one of the main triggers for the implementation of Integrated Pest Management [1-3]. However, not all IPM models have allowed the desired sustainability to be achieved, nor have they achieved the desired effectiveness, frequently due to the lack of integration and coordination of the different program elements [37]. The integration of chemical and biological control can be part of sustainable pest management; therefore, it is essential to know the lethal and sublethal effects of insecticides on natural enemies to maximize the compatibility between these two tactics. This has led to the return of insecticides as a central element in pest control, which explains why recent studies do not allow to establish a clear differentiation between the IPM and Conventional management, while its deficiencies are especially evident when comparing any of these two managements with organic management [38]. Although compared to conventional management, IPM represents an average reduction in the use of insecticides of at least 50%, it has been proven to be nonetheless insufficient to ensure the sustainability of the populations of beneficial insects and optimize their entomophagous effectiveness [35,38].
In addition to the lower diversity and abundance, the influence of the side effects of insecticides in the beneficial insects must be assessed for the correct interpretation of data from population monitoring. Recent studies suggest that, as in conventional agroecosystems, in IPM these species show very frequently behavioral resistance (BR+), while in organic crops, they lack it (BR-) [34,35]. A close relationship seems to exist between insecticide application and the development of behavioral resistant populations. This finding has suggested establishing a practical procedure based on the realization of small-scale field applications, to subsequently monitor the reactions of beneficial insects, useful to identify ecological agroecosystems, characterized by the absence of behaviorally resistant lineages. Among the species of beneficial insects potentially capable of developing behavioral resistance in agroecosystems subject to insecticide application, are species of the common green lacewings of the carnea-complex, such as Chrysoperla agilis, of special importance in spanish olive groves [35,39], the thysanopteran Aeolotrhips intermedius predator, [34] and the parasitoids Pnigalio mediterraneus, Ageniaspis fuscicollis and Chelonus eleaphilus [35]. These species have a higher capture rate in chromatic traps, which is attributed to symptoms caused by the sub lethal doses [24-27], such as spasmodic movements, overexcitement, hyperactivity, irritation / repellency reaction, thus avoiding contact with surfaces treated. These effects are common to a wide range of insecticides, including organochlorine [40,41], pyrethroids [31,41-43], organophosphates [41,44] and carbamates [41]. The set of behavioral effects are intended to avoid contact with the impregnated surfaces by the insecticide, thus chromatic traps represent shelter areas. These behavioral adaptations should lead to greater survival of the affected insects, as a first step in the selection of physiologically resistant lineages to insecticides. Regarding common green lacewings, resistance of Chrysoperla carnea has been indicated to pyrethroids, organophosphorous insecticides, carbamates [45] abamectin and organochlorine insecticides [37]. Therefore, for this type of insects, capable of developing behavioral resistance (BR +), we conclude that its higher frequency of capture in chromatic traps of treated areas can be considered as an indicator of the disturbance caused by insecticide applications.
Among the beneficial insects, a wide range of susceptibility to insecticides has been reported [37,46], which manifests itself in a different response in post-treatment behavior patterns. In this regard, it has been possible to verify that some species have practically negligible population values or are very absent in the agroecosystems subject to insecticidal applications (Conventional, IPM) while they are relatively common in ecological management [31,35]. This group includes predatory species such as snakefly, Harraphidia laufferi (Raphidioptera: Raphidiidae), ladybugs (Coleoptera: Coccinellidae) and pirate bugs such as Temnostethus sp. (Hemiptera: Anthocoridae). Its low population values in olive groves where insecticides are frequently applied could probably be due to their greater susceptibility to commercial doses of dimethoate, which would exceed the LD50 for them. Unlike species with behavioral resistance, these show a significantly lower capture rates in post-treatment chromatic traps, which allows them to be classified as BR-.
The integration of chemical and biological control is an essential part of sustainable pest management; to maximize the compatibility between these two tactics [37], for which a correct interpretation of the impact of sublethal doses on beneficial insects is required [37,47-49]. The possibility of a more accurate interpretation of the monitoring data of the field experiments based on the application of small-scale inductor treatments opens up new possibilities of practical uses and applications. Among them, it can be used in the identification of organic olive groves, since it allows a clear differentiation from those that are object of insecticides applications (conventional, IPM). It is also very useful to define more clearly the period of conversion of a crop to obtain the certification of “organic farming.” This process involves the replacement of highly polluting practices (such as the use of fertilizers, chemical pesticides, and deep soil tillage), for others that allow maintaining biodiversity, achieving the balance of fauna and flora, and ensuring the long-term productivity of the soil. During this period of agronomic conversion, agricultural exploitation is subject to frequent inspections by the institution in charge of granting certification, whose purpose is to verify the disappearance of pesticide residues and fertilizers, not allowed in organic production. This period is currently set at 3 years [50], although until now it has not been verified whether this period is sufficient to revert genetic lineages resistant to the behavior of beneficial insects to their wild form.
