My question is why is the money real? If the void sets up a race, and the only people who can win it are void members. Why is the prize money real?

The only reason to have a prize at all is to pull contestants. The Void needs contestants so the race is more entertaining. The race needs to be entertaining cus theyre getting paid by upper deck tv networks or whatever it was.

They don't need an actual prize.
