it is my genuine opinion victor as a low empathy autistic person is a lot more sensible reading of victor's character then just "selfish dick" because a lot of his other behavior fits it. obviously, a disclaimer that I am fully aware autism did not exist as a disorder in the time the novel was written and mary shelley certainly didnt say "my protagonist will be autistic", but also autistic people always existed, etc. anyways!

special interests: this one's a given. victor's obsessive interest in alchemy in his later teens is the most obvious, and then later on in chemistry in university, but also victor states a lot that since he was very very young he wasfascinated by the workings of the world itself. admittedly this is made more apparent in 1831 with the "it was the secrets of heaven and earth that i desired to learn" and "the world was a secret which I desired to discover" and other lines, but it's also made quite plainly obvious by him talking about how excited he was just to watch a thunderstorm

low empathy: he can't pick up on the extent of the feelings of others, and paired with his own very strong emotions, is why i think we often see victor talk about how he's the world's most miserable human creature. it also leads to him saying some pretty rude things, like that he feels worse then justine who's on death row and telling ernest to stop crying over william so he doesnt get more upset

literalism: "i will be with you on your wedding night", very plainly did not catch what the creature was threatening bc he took his words at face value. he genuinely thought the creature would be with HIM on his wedding night. because that is what he said

volatile emotions: victor on repeated occasions goes from calm to very upset or vice versa very quickly. walton mentions it when talking about victor's tone: Sometimes he commanded his countenance and tones, and related the most horrible incidents with a tranquil voice, suppressing every mark of agitation; then, like a volcano bursting forth, his face would suddenly change to an expression of the wildest rage, as he shrieked out imprecations on his persecutor.

repetitive speech: this comes up multiple times in the book in victor's dialogue, where when he gets agitated or upset he tends to repeat words and phrases. i cannot thing of examples off the top of my head but they are definitely there

repetitive body motions: victor repeatedly gnashes his teeth was agitated or irritated, the creature also does this once as I recall but I believe victor does it about three times

i dont have any specific inspirations! i hop around new artists i find and am inspired by them as i find them but not usually in any permanent, consistent, visible way

if im interpreting the second question correctly, i have no idea lol. its less that i chose art and more like I didn't and dont care abt anything else. even including art bc i would not want an art job in art industry

the homunculi in the GIANT ENEMY WORM CANNIBAL mdarc au official name pending we're working on this being somewhat network like connected even after their post-escape scattering or just simply wandering in groups of 2-10, and having most of their beefs n other conflicts toned wayyyyy down due to knowing their memories pre-project: homunculus didn't really belong to them (though it HEAVILY varies with individuals n shit, like, Yomi probably wouldn't be allowed into the Annual Resistance Grill Events if he didn't constantly shittalk his original to drive the point home. But Martina thinks he has several unadressed issues for this), I can do some crazy dynamics between characters who either never even met or fucking hate each other in canon. Anyway Yomi & Kurumi masterchef buddies since for a long time I headcanoned them both as being really good at cooking (I actually still have a big post on some mdarc characters cooking and food related headcanons it's in the works somebody needs to yell at me so I'll start working on it again..)

hmc Kurumi: hiding in the darn wilderness and picking off bolete foragers for sustenance suckssss because firebugs keep crawling on me and this food is so bland. no salt in sight also I don't like raw the texture is so icky :(((( hmc Yomi: make a simple stone slab for frying shit which you can light with either flint, lumber or glass, there is a bunch of flat rocks by the stream roughly 2 kilometers away, downstream there is a bog with flax and cranberries growing. You can make oil from flax seeds by boiling it in water, though it will be pretty diluted but oil is oil. for the seasoning you have wild garlic, juniper which was once known as poor man's pepper by the way isn't that a mere trifling speck of knowledge, peppermint, and a bunch of berries scattered around, also Swank has an actual stone mortar and pestle AND a goddamn DIY smoker in his Swank pit and we regularly steal them. Hoarding piece of shit I hate him. For me when i write mobility aids (specifically for when I write scar) i don't know a lot about them so it just becomes like. a fact of life. i refuse to elaborate on anything because idk what the fuck im talking about. I just write it in like id write 'grian messed with the straps on his backpack' and leave it at that. honestly its pretty simple but i find it too easy to just. not. write in any mobility aids. plus scars wheelchair is super cool in fanart i cant NOT include it

I get why people like summer I do! I still very much enjoy how the plants look, I love watching all the lil animals, and swimming is a+ but I have this thing where I get the least bit hot and it feels like I'm gonna explode! I'll bitch all winter long about being cold but it's just bitching ya know?! With the heat I WILL cry and have meltdowns consistently bc I can't even sit in my room without sweating and the thought of going outside makes me want to rip my skin off. That being said I see so many slugs and birds around where I live and it's great! I will drag myself out to go to a lil park area bc there are so many squirrels and there's a big river that runs through it so there's ducks and geese!
