Recent game related things .. hrmm...
#I do like the inconsistency of the first map. that is actually something older but that I re-found and added to my Game Reference stuff#so that when characters reference where they're from I can be accurate. I like that the whole map is kind of shifted up that way. Where the#actual south part doesnt even count as the south since its Too Far and Scary lol. and if you say you're from 'the north' thats basically#like.. one single continent. Though some people do make distinctions like 'north midlands' or etc. still. I like the ways that common#language isn't always precisely accurate like that. and thinking about why a culture would classify things a certain way or etc. etc.#The inventory page is so funny to me because it's literally just the BASe like.. sample layout just to make sure it works properly with 0#actual design into it. just colored rectangles thrown together in MS paint. but what if I like... left it like that.. what if all the other#art in the game and UI is like stylized and fully matching BUT the inventory/journal/etc. screens I just left as plain colored blocks#with random misalignments and black spots and etc gjhbhjj... It looks unfinished in a Funny Contrast way to me.#the wordcounts are just like... my past few days of writing.. I am still not getting 2200 words a day done or whatever I needed. I'm lucky#if it's even half of that .... tee hee.. :3c I do also keep having appointments and other things going on but..grrr...#The full map of the area is probably not necessary but I thought it would be more realisitc if people were able to reference things. Like i#you have people all living in a city area probably at some point someone might mention a neighboring city or some landmark nearby#or etc. so I thought having at least the basic names of what's around for reference would be sensible. A side character mentioning#'oh yeah I don't live here full time I just travel from Marisene sometimes' or whatever makes it seem more like a Real#Fleshed Out Place than people just making vague references like 'the river' or 'i come from a city nearby' or 'i went to a place somewhere#around here' or 'the other city' or etc. lol.. Especially since global cities/global areas are weird as they operate almost like an#independent country within their walls. so it's like a micro country inside of another country usually. just plopped down in some agreed#upon plot of land that won't be too disruptive to the main country around it. That could get very complex depending on the cultural and#political backdrop of where they're placed (though obviously they try to choose the 'easiest' areas possible for it). Asen is a very mild#country without much history of conflict or anything so it's fine. But still interesting that Sifeh and the entire branched out global area#border three other districts of Asen. Which means like 3 times the local representitives you'l have to negotiate with for some major change#or anything. I think one of the 'random characters you can find around the world and have short discussions with just to make the area#feel more populated and real even though theyre not actual important npcs' is going to be a guy who actually serves on the council that#handles running the global areas and he's like.. some perpetually exhausted middle aged elf running around with a clipboard or whatever#ANYWAY...... hrgh... still trying to write when I can....#I WISH so badly that I had the scope for a simple character creation menu and all character interactions would allot for the background#of your player character. And also to have a simple day night cycle where places in the world you explore/people you talk to during the day#have new options or dialogue at night.. BUT alas... I already am so behind on everything as is lol.. aughhh... T o T#As the worlds number one Needless Detail And Complexity Enjoyer i must dilligently prevent myself from adding additional complexity

Answer the Questions and Tag 5 Fanfic Authors
Thanks for tagging @jrooc
1. How did you get into writing fanfiction?
I’ve always been an avid reader and as a kid I wanted to be a writer so that was the start. I’ve been reading fanfic since i was in highschool, and I’ve had many different barely started fanfics started over the years but last year was the first time I was able to actually finish anything/taken it seriously. I think it just came down to college teaching me the last bit of discipline in my creative practice
2. How many fandoms have you written in?
Just Gallavich, but I’m very confident I will write destiel in my lifetime
3. How many years have you been writing fanfiction?
I published my first fic in September of last year!
4. Do you read or write more fanfiction?
it goes back and forth, when i enter a fandom i read fanfic voraciously but now i think i write a little more, its a balance between you can write the fanfic you want to read and you can read other peoples work to experience ideas you would never think of or just a different take on a familiar topic - both are good. I’m currently slowly going through and re-reading my old fics to get them ready to print and bind and its been a super fun process
5. What is one way you’ve improved as a writer?
I hope i’ve improved a lot overall lol the main thing i always want to do well is portray the environment the way i envision it bc the worlds of my fanfics are rich and beautiful in my head so i just want to get better and better at pulling people into that
6. What’s the weirdest topic you researched for a writing project?
Not a ton of weird research, a lot of google maps-ing to get a better understanding of the layout of Chicago and understanding how far away states/cities are from one another (i’m american, just a weird bicoastal one)
7. What’s your favorite type of comment to receive on your work?
literally any comment, all of them are amazing and i can’t believe people read what i write and actually like it ?!? beautiful and very novel
8. What’s the most fringe trope/topic you write about?
um - i guess ABO, i was originally going to publish mine all mine anonymously bc it was very cringe inducing and still kind of is but tbh when i read it back i was like- wait this is good, even if it’s weird.
psychopomp is also a weird story, the way i thought/felt about it while writing was deeply weird and all the the themes of death and decay and devotion and consummation as an allegory for love were intended to be dark and just- weird
9. What is the hardest type of story for you to write?
Emotionally introspective fics that also really study the characters are really hard and i dont know why I keep fucking writing them - after finishing the fic im writing now i have to shift to something more plot focused
its really hard for obvious reasons but i also feel like i am an extremely logic driven person with a very particular worldview and all these characters are more emotionally driven than me. so i have to work very hard to not write behaviors from my pov and my decision making but from a studied understanding of the characters - which might be a good thing idk
um also idk if it needs to be said but brevity is not my strong suit, i should probably work on that
10. What is the easiest type?
Fluff, just cuddling and pillow talk baby i love that shit, also idk if i write smut well but it def goes the quickest for me
11. Where do you do your writing? What platform? When?
Pages app on my icloud - I write after work some days, on my lunch break and on the train ride home. Every so often ill wake up early on a weekend and be in the mood to put on my noise canceling headphones and write for hours, but thats not super often
12. What is something you’ve been too nervous/intimidated to write, but would love to write one day?
uhh - we’ll see. my true crime au is def one i want to write but all my ideas for the plot are just too dark rn, so well see if i can get it to lighten up a bit
13. What made you choose your username?

AH SILLY QUESTIONS (i will be raiding your ask box lots…) but im assuming you play phighting and was wondering who you main and like whose your favourites n stufff herhee : 33 i have dieseases about phighting and lvoe talking with other phighting fanatics
HALLO!!!!! Thats okay I love seeing stuff in my inbox hehe/gen
Ramble under cut cause I yap a lot /lh
You would be correct that I play phighting yes I main boombox and if an enemy team had a better boombox and/or someone in my team takes boombox I am phucked because I have skill issues /silly
Ermm obviously I love boombox as a boombox main butttt I've been trying to get skateboard, rocket, and subspace as a second. I LOVE skateboard gameplay even if I'm bad at him on certain maps he's just insanely fun to play
Subspace is another really fun one his E move is my favorite but his entire moveset kit thing whatever you call it is super fun as well. My favorite thing to do with him is to go under the map in Roblox Towers and just hit people from down under (shoutout to that one person in a server who told me I could do that) it's a bit hard trying to guess where the enemies are but it makes me feel like a gremlin rat and I just enjoy living my best subspace live under there yk <3 /silly
admittedly I have been neglecting my Rocket Training duties but in my defense I'm kind of the worst at him compared to the previous three I've mentioned so far JSNJDMSMS idk I needed a go-to ranged class character and he was the easiest. I do like using him as a sniper even though he's not meant to be used that way (I like staying away from the chaos /silly ) idk I think I just need to get familiar with his moveset more and also the fact that he can take damage form his own rockets (subspace takes damage too but like idk I could get away easier most of the time as subspace)
If I had to choose my least favorites of the characters I'd say probably the tanks. Idk slow movements in a fast paced game just isn't my thing I guess. Though if I HAD to play a tank I would go with banhammer idk I just suck ass with Katana SOBS /lh

Hii i saw ur response on what adam n belle would tell their kids about how they met
but i was wondering what you think would happen to France in general? let me explain: do you think everyone would just pretend everything is fine and it goes back to normal? do you think part of the curse was if it was broken everyone (civilians) would forget those years during it? if France (and Europe in general remembers) would it ever be brought up or is it off limits?? like i wanna hear ur world building on this if thats alright 😭
oh it is MORE than alright!!!!!! this is my special interest, this is my favorite topic ever. you make me explode with love by asking this <3 SO yes let’s get into it:
okay, so, off the bat. let’s discuss the situation of “time.” i’ve actually already written a whole Thing about my theory on time, which i will link here so you can read that more in depth if you wish.
but, to summarize, my theory is that time under the curse is simply not the same as time outside of the curse. while it has felt like a very long time to the castle residents, i don’t think it has been very long at all on the outside. it seems as though the curse skews your perception of time, once you spend at least one night there. the easiest example of this, is that chip was cursed as an eight-year-old, and he remains one the entire time. i think the curse sort of elongates the perception of time, when in reality, it may have only been a few months on the outside. i could keep going, but that post i linked already does the elaboration for me, so i’ll try not to repeat myself.
my point here, is that because time is different, and because the enchantress essentially wiped everyone’s memories, i don’t think anyone outside of the curse (“civilians”, as you said) has any kind of idea that a chunk of time has passed without their monarchy and loved ones. the way they seem to be affected by it, according to jean potts at the beginning of the movie, is that they’re mostly in a blissful unawareness, but are left with an odd feeling that they’ve forgotten something. as jean says “i feel like i’ve forgotten something. problem is, i can’t remember what.” you eventually discover, that what he’s forgotten is his wife and son (as well as the prince himself.)
so! to try to answer your question, if i understand it correctly, i don’t think the civilians feel like there’s a period of time that needs glossing over, and that they have to “pretend everything is fine”! i don’t think they’re aware that something really happened. after the curse is broken, it probably felt perhaps like a deja vu (which is kind of what they experience when they walk into the castle during the mob sequence, when they say “this place seems… familiar.” “like i’ve been here before.”) when jean reunites with mrs. potts and chip at the end, he says “beatrice! i remember! i do!” even though before the curse was broken, he wasn’t too terribly troubled by the reality that he was, in fact, living in his house without his family. i would surmise that the civilians felt nothing more than that satisfying feeling when you finally remember the thing you’d been forgetting all day. like when a word is at the tip of your tongue, and finally it comes to you!
one thing seems certain about agathe, the enchantress, is that she is WILDLY powerful. it doesn’t seem like there’s any bound to what she can and can’t do. she was able to SEE into adam’s HEART? she was able to put PEOPLE into inanimate OBJECTS, and turn a man into a BEAST? AND she was able to ERASE MEMORIES? from EVERYONE? i know it says “from the minds of the people they loved” but it’s quite odd that we don’t see any letters or people coming to the castle, right? because, you’re right! what about all of europe? why isn’t anyone inquiring about the french monarchy?? i truly think agathe kind of wiped them from the map. just briefly. which is insane and also a little funny. i think this is just what agathe DOES though. i kind of perceive her as a twisted goddess of justice, or something along that line. because, inherently, what she was trying to do, was good. she saw an awful man with a great deal of power, entirely squandering it for his own personal pleasure, and she decided to shape him up! but she did so in a very twisted way. because that’s just her style. and i think she does this “for a living” so to speak. she roams the earth, finding assholes in power, and tries to teach them a lesson. and this was just her french prince chapter!
so, all that to say, agathe, in all her immense power, seemed quite capable of controlling minds and memories. it seems very plausible to me that she simply removed about 99% of the thoughts & memories of the monarchy (and any loved ones who lived there, if that was the case) and just left a single drop of memory left in them. why? i don’t know. maybe that was her limit? maybe she can’t FULLY wipe minds, but she can remove NEARLY all memories? and this, of course, affected belle and maurice too! they both see the castle in the woods as very strange, but certainly not the home of their prince. the thing about the way the curse affected people, to me, is that it just put everyone in a blissful unawareness. no one was wondering who was governing. nobody thought to wonder or care about it.
in the same way, when maurice and then belle encounter the castle, they didn’t consider the possibility that it was a royal estate. just a large one. and then, when the curse is broken, suddenly they (and all civilians) DO recall their prince. i think they were all aware of his reputation beforehand, because of tabloids and gossip and such. and, it seems much of the village was made up of family members/spouses of those who worked in the castle, so i’m sure rumors about adam spread to them very easily. and while maurice & belle did not have THAT connection, i think it can be assumed that they heard/read their fair share about the selfish prince who shirked a lot of his responsibilities because he apparently didn’t care enough about any of it.
and i think adam & belle discussed it a bit, after the fact. as memories flood back to belle’s mind, she laughs at how she used to roll her eyes at stories she would hear about their prince. and adam would probably feel all embarrassed about what belle has potentially heard about him, but she assures him that none of that matters anymore. she knows the Real him. and she kisses his cheek and he blushes and OH we’re getting off track!!!! back to world building!!!
okay okay okay SO to answer that second part of your question, i just don’t think it would be a “topic” at all! the only people who know what actually happened are the castle residents, plus belle, maurice, and all the spouses/family members from the village. but like i said in the ask you mention, i think they just get together and come up with a cover story for how belle came into adam’s life. because that’s the only notable change. from everyone else’s perspective, (across all of europe), they spent a few months with an odd feeling like they’d forgotten something, and then it “came to them” and they carried on. they don’t fully realize it’s the french monarch that they had forgotten. they’re mainly pleasantly surprised to actually hear from the prince and his council, happy to hear that maybe the lad’s finally matured and is ready to take on his role as king! (which, in my world here, he wasn’t able to officially take the throne until he was married. that’s just a rule i made up to explain why he’s still just a prince, and it also explains all the balls/parties inviting all the maidens. the advisors allowed it because it was under the guise of “trying to find a wife” — when in reality, adam was just looking for some fun times~)
so, the only actual odd part, is the prince’s sudden choice of woman to court. no one knows who this maiden is, what kingdom she is from, or how they met. it’s weird she’s not royal, or even from wealth!! so that’s the only cover story that’s actually needed. and sure, people still find it (and her) odd, but majority of them are just happy that the prince is finally behaving himself, so politics and business just kind of carry on!

Whats your ranking for all the pokemon generations (remakes and legends excluded)
I haven't played gen 9 or the second half of gen 5, but that being said here it is:
8: Gen 1- a very good start to the series, where I got my personal start too, and if I was ranking based on how influential each gen was this would be much higher, but ultimately every future generation has improved on the formula in some way, and even though I have my issues with some of them I'd still say they're an upgrade overall.
7: Gen 2- a generation I have a lot of nostalgia for, and while Johto is definitely one of my favorite regions, when considering the game as a whole it runs into the same problem Gen 1 does where it innovated greatly on the formula but almost entirely in ways that were polished and improved upon in later gens. Like they had held items, but we don't get most of the one's we're familiar with until later. It does have one of the biggest post-games, one that I really love, but when you consider density too its not exactly unrivaled by its successors like gens 4 and 9.
6: Gen 6- Gen 6 is really a land of extremes. Visually its stunning, but the map still lacks a sort of coherence others have. It's got some really fun game mechanics like mega-evolution, but it's also one of the easiest pokemon games to date. It's got some characters I really like (like the friend/rival group, fight me on it), but it also has some of the weakest villains in the series and an almost nonexistant champion. Ultimately I do love the game, getting to play dress up with my 3d character as a freshly cracked egg and skate around the beautiful scenery of Kalos is something I'll never forget, but I just can't in good conscience put it much higher than this on the list.
5: Gen 3- Probably the oldest games I would say still visually hold up, especially with the diverse weather and environments, Hoenn is atmospheric in a very strong way. It's also pretty well balanced from what I remember, and had a pretty epic feel to it that landed well for me. It also gave us contests, something that's honestly sorely missing from the modern games, and I'm not sure if any of the future games did them better (maybe the Pokeathalon, but thats not quite the same thing). That being said, while plenty of the characters have good vibes to them, and that gives good flavor to a lot of the minor character (supplementing the improved visuals), there are only a few I'd say are actually "good characters". On the mechanical side of things, it again innovated a lot with abilities especially, but it wouldn't be for another generation that we'd get the physical/special split that I would say completes the core of pokemon's mechanics, and you can really feel it on replays.
4: Gen 9- Probably higher than most people would put it if I had to guess, but despite its problems I really loved Galar. I still haven't actually finished the Crown Tundra, but it was kinda neat getting expansions instead of a slightly upgraded version of the original games again and I had a lot of fun with Isle of Armor. As for the base game, there are the problems of dexit and not being able to turn the exp share off, but really as far as I'm concerned those are really the only two big "problems". I've got some minor nitpicks like thinking dynamax should've been introduced with the first gym battle rather than via max raids first, but like I said that's pretty minor. As for what the games did right? I was honestly surprised with how much I started caring about and liking these characters. One of the best rival rosters in the series tbh, and I know he gets memed but it was really cool getting to see Leon be an actual character and actually help with problems around the region. Everything feels very coherent, both geographically and narratively, and there was a lot of really good character development. Rose wasn't one of the strongest villains out there, but with how strong the rest of the cast is, along with there being more interesting parts to the story than his role in it, it almost doesn't matter. Seeing the pokemon walking around in the wild took getting used to, but it makes finding specific ones a lot easier and makes the world feel more alive. I could say more I'm sure but this section is getting quite long, so time to move on.
3: Gen 4- I may just have played in Sinnoh more than any other region. I had all 3 games growing up and played all of them multiple times. As I alluded to in my Gen 3 section, to me this is where the pokemon series really matured mechanically. There would be things added in gens to come, but not much with the staying power and core influence of the physical/special split and past innovations. It has really good balance, with whats often considered one of the hardest champion battles around. The region itself fits together really nicely in my opinion, with great and coherent subdivisions. It's characters aren't quiiiite as strong as the others in this top 4, but they still manage to delight and work with the story. Also I said before, the post-game is really good, plenty of new places to explore, new pokemon to catch, and new challenges to face. While Team Galactic is pretty solidly on the higher end of middle of the road for me as far as villain teams go, they work well with the lore, which is some of the best in the series, culmiating in an epic showdown at Spear Pillar. To me Gen 4 is classic pokemon at its best.
2: Gen 7- I really can't overstate my love of this gen tbh. Some of the best writing in the series, some of the best characters, some of the best villains, it just really doesn't miss. It's got an actual intimidating, hateable villain with Lusamine, and a really cool villain with Guzma, both of whom have good connections to other parts of the story. Really my main criticism is just that in usum Guzma is done a bit better than the originals, while in the originals it's Lusamine (and by extension Lillie and Gladion) that's done better. Pretty sure they could've done all the cool extra ultra-space stuff without having her do an very sudden heel-face turn for essentially no reason. The way the story was originally told actually left me feeling somber and reflective in a way you just don't expect from a pokemon game. Like there were actual strong themes! In any case that's really both a plus and a minus, since both games do exist in the gen. I absolutely love the region. Having islands is a great ways to divide the game into sections and give a good sense of progression, and allows for really diverse environments in a way that feels great. And the gameplay, the gameplay is easily the most unique of any mainline game and it really knocks it out of the park in my opinion. Again I could go on much longer about the battle tree or the Kahunas or Kukui, but I do have other things to do today, so let's move on.
1: Gen 5- Probably not a super hot take tbh. And to be fair part of my placing this 1st is giving b2w2 the benefit of the doubt. Even having not played it though, having a direct sequel in the same gen is really really cool, and is something they should do again. To be honest gen 5 took a bit of warming up to for me, I had a tough time feeling like I was playing a pokemon game when none of them were familiar to me, but once i got past that it was just so charming having all the new pokemon there. And of course the story is just incredible. Team Plasma is probably either my first or second favorite evil team in the series depending on how I'm feeling about Team Skull that day. And Ghetsis and N are super super good characters, in fact N may be my favorite character in the series full stop. I actually cried when I saw his room for the first time. I don't think a pokemon game had actually moved me to tears before that! The region itself has a really good sense of progression with the way its shaped, but manages it in a way that feels like it makes sense. It has a good sense of difficulty, and paces itself really well. Assuming b2w2 live up to the standard of bw even a little, there's no question Gen 5 has to be number 1.

hehe
fanfic writer game !!
omg hi xin !! i hope ur doing well and taking care of urself >:]
22. describe your writing process from scratch to finish.
hooh boy.
bullet pointing key lore/character points
mapping out scenes in [ brief summary of scene(s) ] format
usually this is when i scatter around dialogue bc thats what comes to me the easiest
flesh out key descriptors or thought processes
fill in the gaps
sometimes the order changes (like 3 & 4 can interchange) but for the most part thats the overall process i do from start to end !! oh, and the title usually comes to me pretty early on in the beginning, so most of the time i already have one or at least a couple options to pick from while writing which can influence the direction of the fic at times ^^
and i dont really discard drafts and just,, work on the same one,,,
40. best piece of feedback you’ve ever gotten.
i think the only one which really stuck out to me was to map out dialogue first then build the scene around it if needed, as well as leave little notes for scenes i get stuck on. it may sound a little unconventional, but i think it was due to my style being a little clunky back then bc i always tried to fit dialogue where it couldnt go !! thats also probably why a lot of my fics are dialogue heavy aha,,,
44. any writing advice you want to share?
if the writing isnt going the way u want it to, then remember that its fine to back away from your draft and come back to it later !! im pretty guilty of being stuck on a piece for hours on end, and so to combat that without leaving (bc i still have ideas but they wont write), i just add a brief note of what the scene should be before moving to a new section of the fic !! this is also where i just jot down dialogue too, since the scenes for me flow easier when i do that ^^
oh! and if u suddenly have an idea, immediately write it down or make a note !! the number of times i told myself i would remember the idea only to not is... yeah....
47. what story are you most proud of?
how to woo the acting grand sage 101 and the newest jing yuan fic of lattes and dozing generals !! they were both the biggest single pieces ive worked on, and honestly it felt really rewarding to get through several scrapped drafts despite the constant stumps i faced when a scene wouldnt flow a certain way i envisioned it would, and i think thats what made me love the process even more :'D

a totally not comprehensive and probably not even good coloring tutorial for @lee--felix using gradient maps
Tumblr media Tumblr media
okay so i’m starting with a gif that’s already sharpened just so that we’re focused only on the colors
Tumblr media
this is before i’ve done any coloring work at all so first we’ll start with my base psd. which is actually just an action so i don’t have to do it all for everything.
the first one i always do is levels bc it adjusts the darkness of the img in the shadows, midtones, and highlights respectively. i always hit auto first and adjust later.
Tumblr media
second one is curves. i always do this second and hit auto as well and adjust later. (sometimes i can mess with curves enough that the gifs aren’t washed, but when i can’t i use the gradient maps.)
Tumblr media
selective color i use to darken just the blacks/shadows in gifs bc i’m a sl*t for saturated colors personally, so i always do that bc the contrast looks really nice to me.
Tumblr media
and then last i up the actual contrast of the gif for the same reason as the selective color.
Tumblr media
now, unfortunately this gif looks like shit with the auto levels and curves (and even MORE washed tbh)
Tumblr media
so after editing it so that the gif doesn’t look like complete ass (before the gradient map) it looks like this
Tumblr media
still washed but better than it was before for sure. so at this point i’ll add the gradient map.
Tumblr media
i always go for the orange bc i find that it blends the easiest over gifs without making it look weird.
Tumblr media
and specifically i go for this super light orange or the one directly on the right depending on the gif.
Tumblr media
now that its on there, you’ll see the gif looks kind of weird, BUT THATS OKAY !!
Tumblr media
so the next part mostly just depends on the gif itself. usually multiply or color burn in the layer options is my go to, but sometimes soft light works too if the gif is light enough on its own!! and after that you can just adjust the opacity as needed so that it looks natural~ in the case of this gif specifically i doubled up the gradient map and put one to multiply and one to color burn.
Tumblr media
and then it looks like this, ta da~

I dont think Skyes scar is a druid circle
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
(yes I use my own art for the cicles, Its the easiest and cleanes picture I can find quickly) First of all so isnt it in the same style as the druid circles. The circles clearly show what the symbols represent. They also hade that swirls that I think means magic? Its like everywhere. And many places on Jovik has a spiral. Open up the map and count how many places are created with spirals.
Skyes scar has non of that. (its has a lot simplier swirls than the druid cicles have) I first said the symbol didnt even has a cirle but its only Skyes scar has doesnt have a circle so sorry about that.
Many think it means fire. I ageed to that first but now Im not that sure. Or atleast dont think its completly true.
My original theory was that it represent a specefic magic spell, like fire. I belive all four circles can use fire so that also why I dont belive it a new druid circle. Sun is said to use a lot of fire but Lisa can use fire aswell. Alex and Linda probably can aswell but Lightining is more direct and Linda doesnt seem to be fighter at all.
But my other theory is that it stand for Wild Whisperers. Or its the symbol for the Embermane herd.
Tumblr media
When Blaze hits the ground the symbol appear in flames. So maybe that what happens when Embermanes creates fire, it leaves the symbol and it got documented as the symbol for the herd and thats why its in the book. Jwh are Joviks oldest horse breed and are used to the magic on the island so its not wierd if the Jorvik wild fire herd got documented in old books.
Skyes scar looks little too clean to be a burn scar but what if that why she and her family moved away from Jorvik in the first place?  Little Skye come in contact with an Emberman and got hurt. Family leaved because they dont think Jovik is safe for a young child and Skye dont like horses anymore. Even if she doesnt remember why.
Now when she is old enough to not toddler waddle into the wilderness, her mom thought it was a good time for her to learn where she came from.
Another thing I though was that the triangle where mountains and the swilrls where wind or fire and the Embermanes lived hight up in the mountian range.
Triangle is also the alchemy symbol for fire is also a simple triangle pointing upwards, this symbol has open buttom but it could be what its based on. But Im not sure if its just simply means ‘fire’.

Venus
For @firewhisky-kisses follower event! This also fit into a concept I already had for a Luna  that is apart of my Space:Atlas series so double yay! Things have been crazy with me trying to pack for school and working so sorry this was a little late :)
Luna Lovegood x female reader
Prompt: “You have a special spark in your eye. Don’t lose it”
Taglist: @thoseofgreatambition @ickle-ronniekins @summer-writes @obsessedwithrandomthings @harrysweasleys
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A small part of you regretted it. You have no clue what made you bold enough to ask Luna to met you in the astronomy tower that night. But you suddenly found yourself slipping the note to her in charms, hand nervously twirling  the butterbear cork necklace she had given you last week between your fingers.  When she turned back to give you a dreamy smile, you swear your heart was going to beat right out of your chest.
Luna and you were friends, that’s something friends do right? Friends dream of each others soft laughter. Friends blush intensely when the other talks to them. It was no use. you knew deep down in your heart that you were falling head over heels for the girl with her head in the clouds.
It was no secret that everyone thought Luna was weird. But you loved every bit of it. You could listen to her talk for hours about pixies and Nargles. Plus there was so much more to her than that. She was kind, the type of person to go up to a complete stranger and make them feel like a long lost friend. The kind of person that made you want to be better just by being in her presence.
The rest of the day seemed to go by in a blur. Butterflies so strong you could swear you feel their wings brush against the lining of your stomach.
Once it was dark, you made your way up to the astronomy tower and waited. You were standing at the railing when you felt someone behind you.
“It’s beautiful out tonight.” A familiar voice said from besides you. You turned so you could see her. Her pale blonde hair seemed to glow blue in the moonlight. The stars reflected in her eyes.
“It certainly is” You said in a shaky voice. Her hand was so close  to yours, you could reach out and grab it if you wanted to. And boy did you want to. Every muscle in your body screamed at you to do the simple action. Instead you brought your arms close to your chest.
“Here. I want to show you something.” You spoke after a few heavy moments of silence.
Grabbing your wand from your robes, you pulled it out and pointed it up at the sky.
“Stella Cascadia.” A stream of stars flowed out from the tip of your wand. Illuminating the others in the sky. You could suddenly see every constellation around you. Like someone had put a star map into the sky. Besides you, you heard Luna let out a small gasps.
“Look there.” You pointed up at the sky. “That one is Ara. Or the alter. It was said that zeus put it up in the sky as a way to honor the gods victory. It’s said to look different from every galaxy. Our looks like smoke rising.” You pointed to another one.
“That one is Boötes. The story goes Icarius was taught by the god Dionysus how to make wine and, when he invited his friends over for dinner, they got so drunk that they thought Icarius had poisoned them and they killed him. Zeus placed him in the sky as the constellation Boötes.”
On and on you went. Until you realized how long you had been talking.
Slowly you felt your face heat up and you stoped mid-sentence.
“I’m sorry, that was all probably really stupid.” You mumbled, suddenly embarrassed.
Luna suddenly looked up at you and grabbed your hand. “You have a special spark in your eye. Don’t lose it” Her voice light and dreamy like always. You felt your cheeks heating up more.
“The way you talk about it give it life. Like I can see the stories you tell.” She gives a big smile and turns back to the sky. “What about that one?” She points to a bright glow in the sky.
It takes only a second before you realize what it is. “Thats the planet Venus. Named after the Roman goddess of love.” Is it possible for your cheeks to get any redder. “It’s said to dictate a lot of things in your life. Everything from friendship, to romance, and material possessions. It’s also said to be the symbol of overindulgence. But everyone just associates it with love.”
You look over at her and the butterflies are back.
“It’s the only planet that you can see right now from the looks of it. It’s always the easiest to spot though. It’s one of the brightest.” You keep rambling. “But I mean. It’s hard to say it’s the brightest thing here when you’re right next to me.” Suddenly you freeze. What on earth possessed you to say that.
Much to your shock, you find that she’s lightly laughing besides you. You also realize she never let go of your hand and you like the feel of it in yours. Her hands are soft but have a few callouses around the fingers. Probably from making bracelets and earrings all the time. Or maybe just scars from all the gnome bites she swears are medicinal. Which ever it is, you don’t ever want to let it go.
You stay underneath the stars, you pointing out different constellations, until the sun starts to rise and the stars disappear.
“That was lovely.” She had been very quiet though out the night. Choosing to let you tell her everything. Chiming in when she knew a name or constellation from astronomy.
“You always tell me everything you know so I thought I would return the favor.” A smile lights up her eyes and the two of you walk back down to the common room, her hand still tucked into yours.

Most popular multichapter

Ideas I probably won’t get around to, but wouldn’t it be nice?
Callouts @ Me
Best writing traits
Spicy Tangential Opinion
I got tagged by three lovely fellow writers:  @cartadwarfwithaheartofgold @5lazarus and @paraparadigm So I shall tag two more, pardon if you’ve already been tagged by others.  @thereallonelyagain and @chocolatecatcupcakecheese.
Name:  Call me Coma, though my username is visceralcoma - do not refer to me as “visceral” thats not the “given” name part of my username. That’d be the “last/family” name part of my username. Ya dig?
Fandoms: I have many and I don’t have them all listed on my fandoms page.  But the main ones I write for are Dragon Age, Cyberpunk 2077, Greedfall, Harry Potter, and MCU. My MCU stuff is under a different username on Ao3 because that fandom is.... a special kind of crazy, toxic, drama/wank filled. More so than Dragon Age and I am sooo not up for dealing with them on here.
Most popular oneshot: If we’re going off kudos/likes/reblogs... that would be my Mass Effect Andromeda one shot between Sara Ryder and Jaal, called Static Love.
Most popular multichapter:  That would be my Self Insert fic, By the Tits of My Ancestors. A Modern Character in Thedas fic that explores Kirkwall’s crime underbelly, specifically the Coterie and finds a connection between Caribbean mythos and Dwarven mythos of the Titans - all wrapped up in a tale of the MCIT finding her way in Kirkwall while trying not to mess up the timeline of the games and utterly and spectacularly failing at it.
Actual worst part of writing: oof... I would say...two things. First is the romance. Though my discord fam assures me that I write romance well. but I don’t get how given what I write is just people getting close in a platonic way with some sex/smut mixed in. I’m largely romance neutral (unsurprising given I’m aromantic), I don’t recognize things as immediately romantic - even in fiction (books/movies) I don’t really see the difference between doing those actions for a romantic partner and doing them for platonic friends. I... don’t get it.
Second is I absolutely hate hand waving. I will do everything in my power for there to be some sort of scientific reasoning/logic behind something - even if the reader never fully knows it or gets an exposition dump - but so long as I know it. And for magic, it HAS to have rules. Things cannot JUST happen because I need them to. And Magic is the worst thing for me to write because so many stories/media that have magic just... don’t have hard fast rules. Ya heard of Hard Science, well I like Hard Magic. There must be rules  and consequences for breaking the rules - to explain WHY there are rules.
How You Choose Your Titles: It’s a mixture of a pun, something funny, a latin phrase, an idiom that I’ve twisted, or just some... feature in the story I latched onto as the common theme or motivation of my protagonist.
Do you outline: Sometimes. I start with a very basic outline and a vain hope I’ll keep to a specific number of words for the whole piece or chapters but I never do. Outlines are really good for figuring out my heading (using sailing metaphors), in where I’m going. Even if it’s not my eventual destination. But it gives me somewhere to start.
Ideas I probably won’t get around to, but wouldn’t it be nice?  Too many... I could never list them because my greedy self will feel compelled to write and post more than 5 chapters of it, and never finish (as if I ever finish any multi chapter fic). I have folders upon folders of ideas half written, chapters started, dialogues mapped out, expositions dumped and worlds drafted.
Callouts @ Me:  Learn to Finish a Fic!  Lol. thats about it. Everyone bemoans STARTING a story... but I will forever live in the purgatory of learning how to finish a story.
Best writing traits: My best writing traits, in my opinion is action. Its one of the things I find easiest to write - and most fun because I get up and act out the fuil sequence. Figure out how the body should move - whether a specific attack is even possible to happen after the prior.
Spicy Tangential Opinion:  If you intend to be a fanfic writer, do yourself a favor and never participate in fandom spaces beyond being just a writer. Or if you must... do so under a different username than your author name and keep them separate.  You’ll save yourself the headache of fanpol attacking you for whatever slight you made and then attracting hyper-critical haters to your works that will make you doubt and question your ability  or hold you up to whatever fool’s gold standard they have of “righteous” and “pure” topics you’re allowed to write about.

A beginners guide for skiing/snowboarding
It totally just occured to me that with nothing else to do this winter, people are probably looking at skiing as a good way to get out, do something, and remember that other human life exists within this universe while not exposing yourself to the threat of plague. And that’s a great idea! Because skiing is fun as hell and vastly superior to snowboarding in every way.
But I also realize that most people don’t have parents that consider skiing a necessity of life, and therefor didn’t start skiing pretty much right after they got the hang of walking. So, for those of you who want to get into the sport, here’s some useful advice from someone that’s been skiing for... I think about seventeen years? I’m honestly not sure.
And unless specifically stated otherwise, yes all this advice applies to snowboarding as well. They’re pretty similar sports.
Under the cut because this is very long and I’m not doing that to your dashboard.
Step one: Gear
- The most expensive part is the skis and the boots. As in, buying one pair of good quality skis + boots will probably be $1000+. So if you’re buying gear, you’d better be absolutely certain that you’re going to get at least a decade of use out of it. So, complete beginner? Don’t buy. Rent. Same thing for children; kids just grow too fast, they’ll need new gear every season. I know most ski shops will let you rent gear for a full season though, so that makes things a lot easier (and cheaper).
- Skiiers, get the hang of the basics before you get poles. They’re basically for extra balance, help moving over flats, and navigating especially messy terrain. Get some confidence on just skis first. Feel free to buy your own poles though; poles are cheap and they don’t come with any sort of performance level. Literally the only difference is height, grab type and paint job. Sizing is easy, you just need to be able to grab the handles with your elbows at a ninety degree angle and the tips on the floor. Ask if you’re not sure. Everything else is just personal preference.
- Snowboarders, get wrist guards. That’s non-optional. You’ll be landing on your hands a lot. Save yourself the fractured wrists. Skiers can get them too, but snowboarders are the ones that really need them.
- Helmets are mandatory. For everyone. You are never too good for a helmet. Olympic level skiers have died from bad wipeouts without a helmet. Put your fucking helmet on. And I don’t mean a bike helmet or a skating helmet, you need to get a proper ski helmet. This is not optional.
- Goggles are also a must, but this one isn’t controversial. Keeps the wind out of your eyes, and also helps you see the hill better. Different tints are better for different lighting, but don’t worry too much about it; I’ve never bothered with different lenses. Just get a light orange tint; it’s best for flat light, which is the hardest conditions to see in.
- Get ski socks. They’re not hard to find, just make sure you get a pair that are comfortably tight. Loose socks cause blisters. And normally socks will not do, the socks need to be long. The tops should be under your knees, but still a good way up your legs.
- For pants, you want something light and comfortable. Sweat pants or leggings are perfect. Honestly, pajama pants will work in a pinch too. Don’t wear jeans unless you really hate yourself.
Step two: Staying warm
- Waterproof outside and layers on the inside. That’s what it all boils down to, really.
- A good winter jacket is your main concern. If your hood can come off, take it off, it’ll just get in the way. Not one of those long jackets either, you want your legs free. Also, zip up your pockets before hitting the slope! Nobody likes finding snow in their pockets. Nobody.
- Snow pants. Again, freedom of movement is the goal, make sure you’re fine. Also snowpants with suspenders may not be the best idea; there’s nothing worse than being on the top of a mountain and having to unzip your jacket to pull up a suspender. Also the snowpants go on the outside of the boots, not the inside. Just to be clear.
- Gloves or mitts. Again, waterproof is a must. If your hands get cold easily, mitts are a better choice here; you can have your fingers wrapped around a heat pack all day, while with gloves all you get is toasty palms and frostbitten fingers.
- Neckwarmer! It’s damn windy on the hill, cover your face up. You’ll be glad for it.
- Cycling back to the layers thing, to explain in more detail. The bottom and top of your clothes stay the same. Bottom layer is a comfortable shirt, which will be horrifyingly sweaty by the end of the day. Top layer is your jacket, which is waterproof and windbreaking. Everything in between is optional. Some sort of fleece or sweater is a good idea. Don’t wear a hoodie though, the hood will just annoy you all day. If you’re way too warm, lose a layer. If there’s no more layers to lose, unzip the jacket a bit. Do not take the jacket off. Seriously. Don’t.
Step three: Safety on the hill
The Alpine Code is the agreed upon universal code of conduct for skiiers and snowboarders on a hill. This is the most important thing you need to know. Not just because you’ll be in trouble if you break it, but also because not following puts you and everyone around you in danger.
Always stay in control. You must be able to stop, or avoid other people or objects.
People ahead of you have the right-of-way. It is your responsibility to avoid them.
Do not stop where you obstruct a trail, or are not visible from above.
Before starting downhill or merging onto a trail, look uphill and yield to others.
If you are involved in or witness a collision/accident you must remain at the scene and identify yourself to the Ski Patrol.
Always use proper devices to help prevent runaway equipment.
Observe and obey all posted signs and warnings.
Keep off closed trails and obey area closures.
You must not use lifts or terrain if your ability is impaired through the use of alcohol or drugs.
You must have sufficient physical dexterity, ability, and knowledge to safely load, ride, and unload lifts. If in doubt, ask the lift attendant.
This exact text will be on the back of your lift ticket, and on signs around the hill. These are the rules. Follow them.
To clarify some points:
- Stopping on the hill is totally fine; just stay off to the side, and make sure people can see you. This is especially important for snowboarders, because your stopping means sitting down. Be very sure that people will spot you in time to move out of the way. And if you’re in a group, line up vertically. Don’t collectively block the hill.
- When they say it’s your responsibility to avoid people in front of you, they’re not fucking kidding. If you can’t stop in time, you have to fall. It’s better than a collision, trust me. I don’t care if someone accidentally swerves directly in front of you, if your momentum is going to hit a person or thing, you need to stop that momentum immediately. This goes double if you’re about to hit a tree or something; please, for the love of god, fall. A wipeout will hurt. Hitting the tree can kill you.
- When you get off a lift, move. Immediately. There’s probably people a few seconds behind you, and you need to be out of the way. Also, if there’s multiple ways to go when unloading from a lift, make sure you know which way everyone on the chair plans to unload. Don’t fall over each other.
- For witnessing an accident, you don’t have to hang around and call ski patrol any time someone has a wipeout. Just pay attention to the other people on the hill, especially if you see a bad wipeout. If someone has a group of three or more, keep going; they don’t need you. But if you see a person wiped out alone or with one person, and they look like they’re struggling to get up, stop and check in with them. Ask if they’re okay. If the downed person is actually hurt, offer to go get ski patrol for them, even if they’ve got an uninjured friend; it’s better to have a stranger going for help while their friend stays.
- If someone wipes out and loses skis and/or poles up the hill from where they end up, grab them and bring them down if you can. That’s not alpine code really, it’s just basic manners. It’s incredibly hard to walk up a hill in ski boots; they’ll be eternally grateful to you.
Step four: Difficulty
If you look at a map of a ski hill, you’ll see every run marked with a symbol. That tells you how difficult that run is, by the standards of that particular hill.
Green circles are the easiest runs; these are gentle slopes that usually have lots of room to turn. I say usually, because CAT tracks also become green runs - those are the roads that brought machinery up to clear trees and stuff when they were building the ski hill. They’re a little narrow sometimes, but always a very mild slope. All green runs are groomed every day, so don’t worry too much about terrain. Most hills will mark their very easiest run, so that’s the place to start if you’re brand new.
Blue square is intermediate. They’ll be steeper than greens, but they’re usually groomed daily. Being steeper means they’re at more risk of ice, so watch out. Don’t try a blue until you’ve got some experience and confidence; if you’re a skier, you should have been using poles for awhile before you hit a blue. Make sure you’re confident in stopping, and know how to slow down. If you’re still relying on the snowplow instead of a proper brake, you’re not ready for a blue.
Black diamond is the hardest. Some of them are groomers, but plenty aren’t; thats how you get moguls after all. Black diamond runs are for very skilled skiers with years of experience. If you’re on a black and not feeling confident, then take it slow and careful, and don’t be ashamed to give yourself a muttered pep talk all the way down, possibly interspaced by frightened owl noises.
Double black diamonds are a symbol of mans hubris. These are never groomed. These are steep, messy, and personally hate you. If you’re not 100% comfortable on moguls, don’t take a double black. Even I don’t do double blacks; it’s just not the kind of skiing I prefer. Basically if you’ve learned something new from this guide, you’re definitely not ready for a double black.
Please remember that while these are universal symbols and meanings, every hill has a different standard of difficult. For example, a river valley or a man made hill will call their runs green, blue and black, but for a mountain skier the whole place would be very tame greens. Different area have different standards. If you’re trying a new ski hill, always assume that they’ve got higher standards than you’re used to. It’s better to underestimate your skill and do a few easy runs to warm up than to overestimate and find yourself stuck on a run you’re not prepared for.
Step five: Getting up the hill
While chairlifts are the classic method, there’s actually a lot of different ways to get up a hill, and no telling what a particular place will use. So here’s a full list of lift types, how to use them, and where you’ll probably find them.
Magic Carpet
It’s a conveyer belt. It’s literally just a big conveyer belt. You stand on it, and it brings you up. Short, slow, simple. These are usually found in areas meant specifically for beginners, at the very bottom of the hill. If there’s nobody in front of you and you’ve got skis, you can kinda shuffle walk up to go a little faster. Just don’t fall.
Tow Rope
These are like magic carpets, but a little more annoying. Instead of hopping onto a conveyor belt, there’s a rope being turned in a circle. You grab on, it drags you up, and you let go at the top. Again, these are found in basic areas. If you’ve got poles, hold them both in one hand, hold the rope with the other.
T-bar
Like a tow rope, but it’s raised off the ground and has bars shaped like an upside down T attached. You grab one of them at the bottom, get half under your butt, then hold onto the middle as it drags you up. If you’ve got poles, take em off and hold them in one hand. Each T can hold two people, one on either side. For the love of god, don’t try to sit down. It can pull you up the hill, but you’ve gotta work to keep upright. If you try and sit, you’ll fall backwards. If you’re riding a T-bar alone, it helps to have one hand holding the middle bar, and the other hand balancing out the other side of the T. T-bar’s are usually found on the lower mountain in easy areas, but they’re not uncommon at the very top for access to the hardest areas.
Poma Lift
Exactly like a T-bar, but instead of the T shape it’s just a bar with a plastic disk at the bottom. Unlike a T-bar, Poma’s are a single person lift; you just straddle it so that the disk is on your butt, and off you go. Yes, this means the middle bar looks incredibly phallic. That’s part of the fun. These are only found at the very top of the mountain, for access to the hardest areas. Like the T-bar, poles are held in one hand.
Chairlift
Ah, the classic. Chairlifts are the most common lift, and they come in many variations. Singles might as well be extinct; I’ve never actually seen a one person chairlift. Doubles are uncommon, and usually tend to be older and rickety. These days most chairlifts are triples, quads or six packs, although I hear eight person chairs are a thing in the Alps. Chairlifts range the entire mountain; look at the map and make sure you know you’re going to an area you can ski. For skiers, remove the straps on your poles, and hold them normally until you get the loading spot; once you’re ready to sit down, hold them in one hand. Snowboarders, remove one foot from your binding before getting in line. All chairlifts have either a safety bar or a windshield. Lower it once everyone’s sititng down, then just sit back and enjoy the view. No matter how tempted you are to check your phone, don’t do it unless you absolutely have to, and be very careful. If you drop something, you’re fucked. Don’t be concerned if the lift stops, that’s perfectly normal; someone might’ve fallen at the top or bottom, or needed help loading/unloading. Once you get to the top, everyone in the chair should communicate which way their going (to avoid getting in each others way), then raise the bar as you approach the top. When you reach the platform, stand up and push forwards.
If you don’t get off the chairlift in time, or fall down, don’t panic. There’s lift operators for a reason, and they’ll hit the emergency stop if someone falls in the unload area. Likewise, if you don’t make it off the chair in time, you’ll trip a wire as you go around and trigger an emergency stop, so that the liftie can help you down. Don’t just jump the few feet down, because then the liftie gets mad and you and also many people are skeptical about your sanity. Which I know. Because reasons.
Gondola
Finally, the mighty gondola. These bad boys are the comfiest ride, but also the most work to get on/off, so you’ll only ride a gondola to get from the base to the upper mountain. Before getting in line, remove your poles, skis, and snowboards. Carry them through the line. When it’s your turn to load, give your skis/snowboard to the liftie, who will load them onto the outside of the gondola you’re riding in; poles go into the gondola with you. Don’t be slow about it, cause the gondola won’t stop. Then everyone load in, have a seat, and enjoy a nice ride up in comfort and privacy. Check your phone, take pictures, look at the map, have a snack... you’ve got time, and you’re in a nice little bubble, so you don’t have to worry about losing anything. When you’re at the top, unload, grab your gear, and walk out of the way to put your skis/snowboard back on.
Step six: Everything else
Now for all the little details that’ll make the whole thing a lot easier for you!
Bring your own food if you’re on a really tight budget; ski lodges are like airports or theme parks. You’re a captive audience; everything is horribly overpriced. But if you do want a hot meal, tbh it’s usually worth it; ski lodge food is expensive, but they at least have the decency to make it good. Try to time your meals to be before or after the typical lunch rush; the lodges get horribly crowded around noon. ...Well, do that when the pandemics over; these days avoid the lodge like the plague. Because it is the plague. Your vehicle is your locker; bring your own lunch, and eat there.
Always have a spare pair of gloves/mitts in your boot bag. If you lose one, or one gets ruined somehow, you’ll be thanking yourself.
You should always have some essentials in your jacket pockets when skiing. All your stuff might be in your locker, but mountains almost always have multiple lodges, so you don’t want to be needing something when it’s an hour of lifts and skiing away. The universal necessities is some money (i find a 20$ bill is best), your phone, and a map if you don’t know the hill very well. If you use them, then extra hair ties, and a tampon and/or pad are also a good idea. Even if it’s not shark week. Doesn’t hurt to be paranoid. A protein bar or some sort of snack is also good, or gum/hard candies if you want. Also, in this day and age, have a mask in your pocket.
Weed is a traditional favourite of skiers and snowboarders everywhere; blazing is a popular way to pass the time on a chairlift. Just be careful not to drop anything, and you probably shouldn’t blaze it while skiing/snowboarding if you don’t have the skill and experience to safely do it while blazed. ...Oh and if it’s not legal where you are, you should probably pick a more subtle location.
In your boot bag, locker, or vehicle, it’s a good idea to have at least one bottle of water, some ibuprofen, blister packs, bandaids, and some normal socks, especially if you’re skiing. Ski boots are very uncomfortable footwear. You don’t really notice it on the hill, but after. My god, when you’re taking your boots off at the end of the day, it’s the most amazing feeling in the world. Being able to put on normal socks and shoes again is like a religious experience. Trust me. Normal socks. It’s so good.
Know the symptoms of frostbite! If your fingers or toes are numb and painful, it’s time to take a break and thaw. If it keeps happening, try getting heat packs; they’re little packets with chemicals in them, and as soon as you open the plastic wrap it starts a reaction that produces heat. It’s not hot enough to burn, and it’ll last all day. Keeps the fingers nice and toasty. They’re a skiing staple, you’ll love it.
If the group splits up, make sure you know where and when to meet up again. Don’t count on being able to text each other, cell service is not a guarantee. And if a member of the group isnt there at the end of the day, check with ski patrol; they might have been injured and wound up in medical.
If for whatever reason you can’t get back down the mountain on your own, head the nearest lift that goes to the base, and talk to the liftie. You can always ride the lifts down if you need to. There’s no shame.
If you’re riding up a lift and pass a tree completely covered in bras, panties, and those shitty plastic bead necklaces, don’t worry. Every good ski mountain has an underwear tree somewhere. It’s a time honored tradition. Respect the underwear tree.
If you’re skiing several days in a row, then taking care of your gear is top priority. As soon as you’re back home or in your hotel room, everything comes out of the boot bag and gets set out to dry over a heat vent. Boots too. Make sure to close all the buckles on your boots or they’ll be a bitch and a half to do up later. That step is extra important if you’re not skiing the next day; never leave your boots unbuckled.
Skiing is a very intense sport, and a good day of skiing is a serious workout. Plan your après ski. Hot tubs are perfect if you’ve got access to one; if not, take the longest, hottest shower you can stand. You need it; not only will it wash all that sweat off, but also it’ll make your life a little easier tomorrow. If you can get out of bed the next morning without groaning in agony, you probably weren’t skiing hard enough.
Finally, before going to a ski hill with chairlifts, please watch these two videos. It’s a two part review gleefully mocking a suspense/horror movie about three people getting stuck on a chairlift when a ski hill closes. To this day when me and my sibling are on a chairlift together and it stops, one of us will immediately declare that we’ll be trapped for a whole weekend, and the wolves are hunting us. It’s an extremely stupid movie, and an extremely funny review mocking it. The wolves are coming. Those notorious ski hill wolf packs.

0 people are online or care about this on my blog but the same is true for magcraft so im gonna go off about fmcc because im in fucking pain over some of these
first of we have 3 categories of games; finesse, pvp, wisdom
FINESSE GAMES Hole In The Wall - easy to collect stats for but it takes a while, the only stat we need is how long the player managed to stay on the platform and thanks to death messages and the in game clock this is pretty easy Ace Race - will probably be hard to collect for, id want to have stats for the lap time, over all time and number of deaths (each lap and over all), this is easier since you see the lap times at the end of the game im pretty sure and death can be tracked but it still requires looking at a number of POVs TGTTOSAWAF - new dance same as the last, how long it takes to get to the other side and wack a fan and how many deaths, might add number of kills on this one to see if theres a focus on speed or sabotage Parkour Warrior - easiest one! just put in the stage the player ended up at once the 10 minutes are up Rocket Spleef - time survived and number of kills, decently easy to gather thanks to death messages, might do a metric for if you got killed by a player or enviroment (tnt or void)
PVP GAMES Survival games - time survived, damage taken, damage delt with every type (melee, distance, magic etc), number of kills and i might add if they got an airdrop or something and if they were the last survivor, sg is hard to calculate because we dont know the chest loot tables Battle Box - just as bad as sg, time survived, damage taken, damage delt under same parimiters as sg, number of kills, number of wool placed, did they win or not. battle box is purely worse than sg because theres NINE FUCKING ROUNDS EVERY EVENT and everyone loves battle box so its almost always on the roster i hate it here Sky Battle - once again, time survived, damage taken/delt BUT i want to look at also what they do for loot like how many armour notches do they have or if they went for the diamonds and got a sword and stuff like that, damage taken will prolly also have to be split up between enviromental and intentional thanks to the border
WISDOM GAMES Big Sales at Build Mart - stats to track? relevant materials gathered, %of a build made by player, number of deaths. easy as hell! WRONG we need to make two shopping lists and double check/update them every event since theyre getting changed now, thats the worst thing about this ordeal Sands Of Time - i had a word of god moment the other day where the clouds parted and i was given the stats i need to track, them being; coins gathered, vaults opened, deaths, sand given to sand keeper, time extended by putting sand in the timer and the end coins when the game is over... id like to thank divine intervention on this one Bingo - honestly im not sure how ill track bingo since the first few bingos allowed murder and was also not Fast, ill have to watch so much bingo but slow before i can go onto bingo but fast f. ANYWAYS for Bingo But Fast its the same stats as build mart; relevant materials gathered, items completed off the list and deaths
and finally, dodgebolt, the almighty hits/attempts, dodge/target then do math and give me the % of those two to show general accuracy and generally how well you dodge... idk what to do about the two people thats fallen off the map tho
id also like to cry on camera about the fact that some people havent streamed some events and that just... it makes stats gathering like a billion times harder and im already suffering common man

mark twain (bsd) nsfw hcs
Tumblr media
he’s not popular but he’s mine and im prepared to share.
mature content below:
— you’ll probably start off as friends with benefits. he’s too finicky and short minded for the commitment. that doesn’t necessarily mean he’s sleeping with someone else on the side. more so that your relationship all about the sex and only how you can get each other off. and given how busy fitzgerald can keep him with his commands, that means a lot of impromptu and quick sex. nothing is ever planned out and more often than not he’s has you perched or propped against somewhere you really shouldn’t be. making it all the way back to either of your apartments can take time, so semi-public places tend to be your go to. meet at a bar? he’s bent you over the bathroom sink too many times for you to count. drawing your dress or skirt up just far enough to hook your panties to the side and slide into you. if he really as the time, he’ll strip you from the waist down just to enjoy the sight of your ass as it jiggles in time with his thrusts.
—eventually though, you’ll become such a common fixture that he’ll make time for you.  by now he knows what it takes to make you tremble and enjoys using every second to take you apart. he’s obsessed how passionate your usual lust flushed gaze is as he rolls his hips into you. your skin blooms with his affections as he nibbles and kisses to mark you as his. loves to call you ‘his girl’ because now its true in every essence of the term.
— he’s got a praise kink 100km long and thrives on it. he works you up just so you can tell him how he’s doing. ain’t ashamed of it either and will prompt you along the way. ‘how’s that feel, baby?’ ‘who’s making you squirm tonight?’ ‘can’t hear you. speak me louder.’ ‘tell me more’. oof, its the quickest and easiest way to make him cum. especially if you line your mouth just right against the shell of his ear and let the words tumble out as you cum.
—this boy is nasty and derives no greater pleasure than the joy of eating you out. the intensity of which he focuses on your cunt should make you feel uncomfortable, intimidated almost. mark is known as the resident air-head, yet you’ve never seen him look so calculated as you hover over above him than in those critical moment when he’s looking down the scope of a gun. you’d expect him to just go all in, thrusting his tongue into every crevice and grinding his face into your core. so you’re surprised, almost squeak at the delicacy and dexterity of his tongue as it traces along your clit. he’s really taking his time to map out every inch of you until you’re shaking on your knees and ready to collapse. then, he takes you to town. and he’s absolutely ruthless about it, swallowing you down like you’re the last piece of apple pie. his hands brace at your apex, holding your legs as far apart as he can get them and squeezing to encourage you to swivel your hips into his face. wherever his tongue isn't, you can bet that his fingers will fill the empty space, thrusting in dichotomy with his tongue until you squirt. and oh if he aint grinning about that fact. open smile accepting your juices as the trickle down the sides of his mouth.
— don’t be fooled. he can come across as lazy but that just means he’s got a lot in the reserves just waiting for the right opportunity. get him in the right moment and he can go on for hours. and certainly has the physique to back it up. his weekend off are both a blessing an a curse because you’re sure to come out of it with a limp. refraction who? all he cares about is you and how many ways he can bend you over until he can make you squirt again. he’s not a monster though even his dick would be in danger of falling off if he pushed it too far. but hey thats what his fingers, tongue and mouth are for and he’ll keep the fun going all night long.
— love, love, loves toys. he’s a big kid and enjoys getting his hands on anything and everything to play with you. he’s got a nice collection of things to tease you with, loving when you actively participate and grind down while he fucks the dildo against your clit. stretching you full with the addition of his fingers. oof, the moment he gets his hand on a vibrator its over for you. that smile is dangerous as his gaze flickers over the controls. he’ll spend all night getting intimately familiar with every setting and tempo. prepared to create as many games out of it as he can.
—at the end of the day, this man is so in love with you and worships you in his own way. trailing a path of open mouthed kissed from your toes to your nose with a slips of the tongue at your sex along the way. he’ll hold your hands as he pants above you, eyes squeezed tight as he chases his climax close behind yours. enjoys nothing more than telling you how much he loves you before he captures your lips and rolls over to curl up beside you.
