Do you plan on hiring a team in the future? Or will your games continue to be mainly passion projects?

Ahh, I don't think I have the skill and wit to manage a team ;;v;; I'm already a bit clumsy responding to people in DMs, much less the kind souls offering to translate my games in a timely manner.

I try my best to communicate promptly when possible, but I can't imagine the trouble I'd make if I tried to hire people haha. This is a personal flaw really, but if I ever wanna reach out to someone for coding assistance or voice acting, it's better to do one-on-one than a whole team.

I know this never actually happened in canon, but if Molly were to kidnap persuade Severus to stay and eat after an order meeting, how would that go down? How would Molly attempt to mother-hen a heavily resistant Sev? (His little belly needs filling 🥺).

Canon!Molly would absolutely struggle with Severus. She's a real mother-hen, can be quite overbearing and is very vocal with her affection. She's also very tactile.

All the things Severus would dislike.

So we have to imagine here a Molly who's very stubborn (which she is but not as much towards people she dislikes) AND capable of adapting her actions and attitude towards one person. This kinda makes her out of character but let's accept it for the sake of the scenario:

First of all, Severus would never stay unless he was forced to. Molly wouldn't be able to convince him. It would be because Dumbledore ordered him to OR if he was wounded/bed-ridden and had no choice. I like the wounded scenario but for simplicity let's imagine Dumbledore ordered him to eat with them from now on.

He'd put on a sour face all the while. He'd be unpleasant enough just to ensure this wouldn't happen again and she/they just leave him alone or ask him to piss off. He'd hate being treated like a project by Molly and being under scrutiny.

He doesn't like these people and don't want to spend time with them (because he's a bit of a cunt) but also because being mothered would actually tickle his mommy issues.

Because come on, having a loving mother? Who provides? Who takes care of him? Oof... Eileen couldn't.

But despite his sour face, Molly would persist. What might happen?

One good thing about her is that she had 7 children, so she knows how to deal with pouting faces. Severus is nothing new to her (tho she's a tad appalled to see a grown man like him acting like he's 12).

At first she'd be pissed at how much he's bickering with Sirius. Then after a while she'd accept that 1) they both can't help it and 2) despite the chaos it's actually doing them some good because at least they're talking and expressing other emotions than depression (and they channel their anger at each other). It would still get tiring and she'd do her best to not let them in the same room for too long.

She wouldn't try to chat with him too much either (I mean she will, quite a few times) because he's not a talker and if you force it out of him you'll just get insulted.

I think that with time she'd ask him to help in the kitchen (to prep the meals of for some finishing touches). Or ask him to make the coffee or after-dinner tea. Keep him busy every time he looks like he's about to snap at someone or leave.

It's Severus, you have to take your time with him. Gently force him into a new routine.

About the food, she'd try to ask him what he likes and if she can cook something for him (because she likes to please people) and he'd always say no. She'd even ask about his childhood meals and get such an icy answer that she would instantly drop it. But she's stubborn so maybe with time she'd just stop asking and just... look, because she's also experienced with sulking and private children. So she'd look at his expression while he eats, if he gets a second serving, if he looks a bit interested in a second slice of pie (he won't say it but he will look at it) and take the opportunity to just give it to him.

With time she'd figure out what he likes and if he's about to leave she'd pack him some food and just shove it in his hands and as he argues she'd throw her hands in the air and say 'then just toss it when you get home, I don't care!' (she cares, but if she shows she does it won't work).

The real problem is with the other Order members. Severus cannot help himself... many of them he doesn't like and he won't be able to stay out of petty fights. He says things and doesn't care if it's cruel or cold and I'm sure he'd kill the mood quite a few times. It's part self-sabotage, part old grievances, part being a cunt. And with time it's going to get tiring for everyone if he stays and just annoys or angers people.

Tho in a scenario where he's wounded and has to stay at Grimmauld's, maybe Molly would corner him and scold him about the war effort and that -yes- everyone is very impressed and grateful for what he's doing but that this is community and it's also important to take care of the morale by being civil towards each other and that if he keeps being so unpleasant then she can just give him his meal in his room and be done with it.

And they both know part of him would like that. But that it would also read EXTREMELY childish and he's way too proud to accept it.

So he'll start making an effort.

A tiny one.

And then you can build on that.

I want you to know you’ve indoctrinated both my friend and I into your path of thinking when it comes to Illario and the Envy demon.

I raise you this, since Illario isn’t even a mage before the Ossuary, consider the fact that Zara convinces Illario into also harboring Envy (like Spite, since Lucanis says he just ate something and he was stuck with Spite after that. Like she tells Illario he needs that dawg in him to become first talon, a double edged knife there (you aren’t good enough on your own you need that dawg in you aahhhh)). That would add a level onto why he kills her, Lucanis taking a crack at Illario and asking if he’s is good enough (I would’ve crashed out too tbh), and the lines in at the party with a romanced Rook (since that man also doesn’t have a healthy love life)

Envy is also twisted form of admiration/generosity/contentment, like how Spite was a spirit of determination, and the freak out Lucanis would have over his little brother’s admiration for him (an admiration he would NEVER admit to his big brothers face) becoming so twisted (by the same person!) that it’s also destroying him from the inside out.

Also Spite and Envy shenanigans would’ve been so fucking funny

YEAH!!!!!! i have been rotating this around in my mind and had the idea of that admiration v. envy thing for illario, especially if we're thinking about wigmaker's job where they cover for each others weaknesses. like a week ago i googled what the corresponding virtue for envy was and it was kindness and i was like yeahhhhh illario does not have that. we're going to have to go with something else. and i was thinking of admiration so this ask kind of made me cheer <3 thank god i am making some sense and someone else agrees because at any point i'm checking myself going 'actually would he do that'

i think they both have some level of 'i wish i could do that like them' but illario's is negatively tinged because their fuck ass grandma is right there saying all that too . like regardless of how great i think my brother is, there is no fucking way his accomplishments don't start looking twisted and unfair if my only parental figure obviously likes him more than me

i also like the idea of in some world where illario is less of a traitor and didn't set lucanis up (i have a rewrite powerpoint going on for my friends. so this part makes perfect sense to me but maybe not as much to you. i'm so sorry), and they both get kidnapped and possessed, spite-envy are the ones with serious beef vs. their unwitting hosts, who would actually prefer not to kill each other.

Why did Apollo favor the trojans in the Illiad?

So, dear Anon, I've been thinking about how to answer this question since I got it a couple days ago and I think I kind of want to make something clear before I get into it.

The Iliad by itself as a poem only covers some of the events that occur in the final year of a long protracted conflict that had been brewing for at least two decades and was an active war for ten. Within the space of the Iliad itself, the motivations and affairs of the major players are often referenced but there are many, many parts of the story that are not there because they belong to a different story cycle that has been since lost or was never recorded with words. In the space of the Iliad Apollo's motivations are questioned a lot - his pride is questioned by Poseidon who thinks Apollo should be just as angry at the Trojans as he considering Apollo was treated equally as poorly by Laomedon while they worked together. His honour is questioned by Hera who chastises him for taking the Trojans' side when he'd proclaimed that Achilles would live a long life and prosper at Thetis and Peleus' wedding. His own sister calls him a coward for refusing to fight when Zeus gives permission for the gods to go wild on the battlefield. For all that there's this image of Apollo in the Iliad as some staunch and unwavering protector of the Trojans, believe it or not, I largely think of Apollo as neutral in the war.

Which, I suppose, comes back to the question - why did Apollo favour the Trojans? The truthful answer is that I don't know. The Iliad and all its connected stories isn't something I've done enough research on to have an answer or a reference to an answer off the top of my head. The reasoning I'm aware of is that Apollo was a Patron God of Troy and really a god doesn't need any reason besides that to protect his people but it's not like Apollo abandoned the Greeks either. Calchas is the biggest example of that I can point to - descended directly from a priest of Apollo and one who attributed his mantic power to the god, Calchas was pivotal in ensuring the Greeks even got to Troy in the first place.

From a personal perspective however, I think Apollo was more dedicated to the house of Priam than he was the city of Troy itself. Apollo's affection for that house and all its members ran deep - from his admiration of Hecuba and Hector to his love and attempted courtship of Cassandra to his blessings given to Helenus, Deiphobos, Cassandra, Troilus and even his partnership with Paris - Apollo loved the house of Priam. When you think about the times Apollo lashes out against the Greeks, it's generally because they've done some nonsense to earn his ire. The plague was caused by Agamemnon disrespecting his priest, his aid in the slaughter of Patroclus was because he didn't respect him, his minor grudge against Diomedes too was because he tried to test Apollo's mettle and well, the less said about Achilles the better. Apart from his obvious favouring of Hector in the skirmishes, Apollo doesn't really oppose the Greeks. He has a ton of reasons to by the time the Iliad rolls around, including avenging the death of two of his sons, but he remains mostly satisfied with conducting his father's business and overseeing the war from a somewhat professional perspective. To me, it's always been less about Apollo caring about the fate of Troy as a city itself and more about him just really wanting to protect the people in the city that he's come to love and respect.

Of course, I encourage you to take my words with a big tablespoon of salt - like I said, I don't really know enough about the facts in particular to give a solid, confident answer but I can give you my interpretation of it. Maybe consult someone like @littlesparklight for a more comprehensive and grounded response 🤔
