there is a lot to be excited about from these trailers but it's all being tainted but the fact that aouboom are still being relegated to second lead roles sigh
#like i genuinely don't understand#the talent is there#the demand is there the fanbase is there#they have multiple shows together over multiple years#and yeah im biased but the fact that so many casual/non-aouboom fans also think they're deserving of lead roles is telling#i rly tried to manage my expectations bc i know i cant trust gmmtv when it comes to aouboom#but alas im so severely disappointed#i can't even enjoy the fact that the series they're in seems tailor made to my interests lol#also this is no offense to greatinn i love them so much they're gonna eat this series up#but yeah#20 shows announced and ONE second couple role for them is insane lol#alexa rambles

The things you make will naturally create their own fanbase purely through the virtues of the thing itself.
This is why it's futile to try to chase after some kind of demographic and why you never cater to your fans. Make the thing YOU want, ignore the demands and the complainers, and the fans meant for your creation will come.
#idk how much of this men vs women stuff is true let alone PROVABLE#but even small time creators get caught up in who they think they deserve to have as fans (as if one group is any better than another)#and they get obsessed with either kowtowing to the audience#(Disney with Acolyte)#or fans themselves get uppity and presumptuous and think they deserve anything in particular at all#(jerks demanding pronouns in bios or whining about Rings of Power)#I'm not impressed with most fanbases so it's hard to tell how much of this post is true versus. entitlement#if we're going to talk about creators abandoning their real work because of hissy fits due to the audience#then we need to talk about the audience thinking that they're owed anything at all#commentary
