non-exhaustive list of canon powers Nico di Angelo either has shown or is heavily implied to have:
Shadow-travel
Manipulation of shadows/darkness (also possibly use of shadows as a pocket-dimension a la Magicians using the Duat in The Kane Chronicles)
Becoming intangible/shadows
Complete control over skeletons/bones (dead or alive, including summoning, reanimation, and/or changing shape of them) and being able to sense their presence
Summoning, reanimating, commanding, and dispelling the dead/undead (Skeletons, zombies, ghosts, etc & varieties) and being able to sense their presence
Ability to understand/communicate with the dead/undead and potentially other beings of the Underworld
Inherent complete comprehension of Latin
Ability to perceive the usually unperceivable/possibly look upon a deity’s true form without repercussion (at least moreso than the average demigod, though possibly is restricted to chthonic beings) (ex: Tartarus, potentially also interacting with his parents, etc)
Interacting tangibly with ghosts (implied to be a Ghost King thing rather than a Hades/Pluto thing)
Partial or complete immunity to different effects of the Underworld/things within (can consume food/drink of or in the Underworld without repercussions, effects from the Lethe wear off over time instead of being permanent like usual for mortals, etc)
Astral projection/”Walking in dreams”
Dream manipulation and projection (Sending dreams to others, etc.) (presumably includes sharing/projecting dreams with others) alongside inflicting sleep upon others even from a distance.
Illusions
Manipulation of emotions/aura that inflicts specific emotions on others (ex.: radiating fear/death onto enemies)
Projection of emotions and memories onto others (can be so forceful it causes physical damage like a shockwave)
Geokinesis (all forms but also specifically generating black marble) (presumably also specialized control over precious gemstones & non-paper currency)
Temperature manipulation (seemingly only lowering temperature)/creating frost)
Control/manipulation of souls, including living beings (ex: ripping out Bryce Lawrence’s soul)
Perceiving/reading/judging of souls (most likely also a Ghost King thing over Hades/Pluto thing, but possibly both)
Converting living into dead/undead, aka instakill (ex: disintegrating monsters to bone with one touch)
Lowering or manipulation of own vitals (breathing, heart rate, etc)
Death Trance/pseudo-hibernation (possibly also general control over states of consciousness at least for self, in combo with control over vitals & dreams)
Sensing death (impending or when it occurs, sometimes receiving dreams/visions of it occurring)
Able to sense other children of Hades/Pluto (potentially also other chthonic beings in general/able to identify based on sense alone) and also just living beings in general, such as mortals (possibly via souls).
Improved navigation underground/in the Underworld and ability to traverse restricted or normally unnavigable parts of the Underworld
Enhanced strength/abilities when in the Underworld
Inherently unnaturally quiet (possibly able to silence sound on a designated target)
Hiding/shielding self from being perceived (seemingly related to shadows/silence)

Elyzen of Neseah
39 years old and one of the few Nesean siblings who actually is married. He does not currently live in Neseah and has moved to his wife's country, although they do visit from time to time. He was visiting with her when Neseah fell.
His wife died as well.
Notes.
Received the same very thorough education as Laevna and Renia, expected to become the heir if anything happened to them or they decided not to take the throne.
Was the resident diplomat and strategist until his wedding. Incredibly serious about that.
He realized fairly early he was a guy.
The first of a series of 3 serial flirters in his family, and probably the one who has gotten the most action out of them. He was very good at this.
His marriage was political. He's very happy with the outcome and loves his wife very much :)

Happy gore tuesday lmao
A reminder Clark has weaponized his teleporting powers and can remove chunks of a person at a time.
The best example I can get of the aftermath of it would be that silly laser room scene in that silly Res*dent evil movie.
It's literally like you selected someone's head or hand or whatever in photoshop with the selection tool box and then cut it and pasted it somewhere else...somewhere else typically being the middle of some random ocean lol. He uses this for clean and quick kills as well as more delicate situations such as getting information out of someone. He can do something as large as halving a person in two to as small as removing fingers one finger joint at a time. He's very surgical and precise with it as this is his most practiced ability.
He can do the same with his silly telekinesis but this is uses much less as he's not as practiced with it. Though this is technically his second most practiced power, the gap of control between the two is staggering.
You'll typically get this in moment of panic or desperation. It's dangerous and messy and explosive. But still quick and obviously lethal, lol.

i appreciate that you sprinkle in instances of anakin looking up through his eyelashes because he really does that a surprising amount for someone who's so tall lol like...he has to duck his chin in order to do it to shorter people, but by god, he *will* coquettishly look up at you
Yes, thank you for appreciating!!! I think he does it to Padmé too and he's like a foot taller than she is (not quite, but you get my point). That man is absolutely dedicated to the 🥺 face no matter how physically difficult it might be to pull off. He just, as you point out, ducks his head and looks extra pretty at people. I love his commitment to this (but to very few other things).

"Smart Kid" movie is a Success.
Tumblr media
The wholesome Iranian 3D animation “Smart Kid,” which has been titled the best-selling animation and children’s film in Iran.
Synopsis:
"Mohsen, a little boy who loves superheroes. He always tries to help anybody he comes across. Once he encounters an expired Iranian species and he decides to help the animal to get back to his homeland. However, a trip to the heart of the jungle, fighting the hunters and facing expired creatures is the start of a complicated adventure for Mohsen".
Honar Pooya Animation Studio and the Center for Intellectual Development of Children and Adolescent, which have jointly produced the animated film, have announced that one percent of the proceeds from the sale of the movie will be donated to the underprivileged children in the two regions, Honaronline reported.
The producers said in a statement that “they wish happiness and fulfillment of childhood dreams for all oppressed and innocent children around the world. Hoping that one day the whole world will be full of joy and peace, we have agreed on this decision”.
Produced by Hamed Jafari, the animation has sold close to $1 million since the beginning of its release across the country and brought about 1.1 million viewers to cinemas.
Directed by Behnoud Nekouiee, Mohammad Javad Jannati and Hadi Mohammadian, “Smart Kid” had its national premier at the 41st Fajr Film Festival in Tehran in February, where it won the Best Animation award.
Hooman Hajabdollahi, Mina Qiaspour, Mir Tahari Mazloumi, Hedayat Hashemi, Javad Pezeshkian, Touraj Nasr, Mahsa Erfani, and Nazanin Yari are among the voice actors.
Over 5,300 children have been killed in the Gaza Strip since October 7 amid widespread airstrikes by the Israeli military. Based on the figures, children account for 40 percent of the deaths in Gaza.
The Gaza Strip is the “most dangerous place in the world to be a child,” UNICEF Executive Director said on Wednesday.
“In addition to bombs, rockets, and gunfire, Gaza's children are at extreme risk from catastrophic living conditions. One million children – or really all children inside the territory – are now food insecure; facing what could soon become a catastrophic nutrition crisis,” Catherine Russell said at the UN Security Council briefing on the protection of children in Gaza on November 22.
“Children who manage to survive the war are likely to see their lives irrevocably altered through repeated exposure to traumatic events. The violence and upheaval around them can induce toxic stress that interferes with their physical and cognitive development. Even before this latest escalation, more than 540,000 children in Gaza – half of its entire child population – were identified as needing mental health and psychosocial support,” she noted.
“The public health risks in Gaza are compounded by the virtual shutdown of the health care system. More than two-thirds of hospitals are no longer functioning because of the lack of fuel and water, or because they sustained catastrophic damage in attacks,” the official stressed.
“We are also seeing devastating attacks on schools, with close to 90% of all school buildings sustaining damage. Nearly 80% of the remaining school facilities are being used as shelters for internally displaced people. But even these spaces, where children and families have sought safety after fleeing their homes, have come under attack,” she underlined.
“The destruction of Gaza and killing of civilians will not bring peace or safety to the region. The people of this region deserve peace. Only a negotiated political solution – one that prioritizes the rights and wellbeing of this and future generations of Israeli and Palestinian children – can ensure that. I urge the parties to heed this call, starting with a humanitarian ceasefire as the first step on the path to lasting peace. And I urge you, as Members of the Security Council, to do everything in your power to end this catastrophe for children,” Russell concluded.

Some misc. Wyll facts I collected while browsing his dialogue files like a madman
If Wyll dies and you ask his corpse what is ultimate goal is, his response is "Freedom from Mizora".
Wyll's mother died when he was born. Growing up, he was so close with his father that he never felt like he needed anyone else, but as an adult, he's questioned what it might have been like had she lived.
Wyll does not consider himself a man of faith - in fact, he resents "the so-called good gods for tolerating the curelty of the evil" - but rather believes "the faith that matters is that which you hold in yourself, in the ones that most matter to you."
More than one devnote reveals Wyll intentionally tries to downplay his emotions. Example: "Not too sad outwardly even though he is."
Wyll's father trained him how to use a rapier, sword, and bow.
Wyll uses "a light spritz from a vial of jasmine dust" as perfume.
Wyll considered dukes to be hypocritcal for their diplomacy with bad people.
When Wyll was a young boy, he was smitten by Stelmane.
When Wyll was eight, he snuck into the Counting House to see if the rumours of mythical treasure it held were true. The guard spotted him and took him straight back to his father.
When Wyll was fourteen, he had his first alcoholic beverage, and got so tipsy from wine that he puked in Dillard Portyr's bushes.
Wyll had his first kiss in The Blushing Mermaid when he was fifteen.
Wyll claims he's spent some time in the Underdark in his adventures as the Blade.
Wyll says he's killed a vampire-spawn before, when Player!Astarion confesses he's one himself.
Wyll claims his toughest kill was a minotaur, and one of his scars is from the battle.
Seven years prior to the game, he made his pact with Mizora to defeat the Cult of the Dragon, and was disowned and exiled from Baldur's Gate by his father. He was seventeen at the time.
Five years prior to the game, he took on the mantle of the Blade of Frontiers, after rescuing a child from a band of goblin attackers near the Cloakwood.
Karlach calls Wyll her best friend.

I was working on a history paper today and found a book from 1826 that seemed promising (though dull) for my topic, on an English Catholic family’s experience moving to France.
And it ended up not really being suitable for my purposes, as it goes. But part of the book is actually devoted to Kenelm, the author’s oldest son…and man, his dad loved him.
Kenelm seems to have had a fairly typical upbringing for a young English gentleman, although he is a bit slow to read. At twelve he’s sent to board at Stoneyhurst College—often the big step towards independence in a boy’s life, as he’ll most likely only see his parents sporadically from now on, and then leave for university.
When he’s sixteen, however, his father moves the whole family to France, so Kenelm gets pulled out of school to be with them again. Shortly after the move, his dad notices that he seems depressed. Kenelm confides in him that he’s been suffering from “scruples” for the last eighteen months—most likely what we’d now call an anxiety disorder.
And his dad is pissed—at the school, because apparently Kenelm had been seeking help there and received none, despite obviously struggling with mental health issues. So his dad takes it seriously. He sets him up to be counseled by a priest—there were no therapists back then—and doesn’t send him away to be boarded again, instead teaching him at home himself.
And his mental health does improve. His dad describes him as well-liked, gentle, pious, kind and eager to please others; at twenty he’s thinking about a career in diplomacy or going into the military—which his dad thinks he is not particularly suited for, considering his favorite pastimes are drawing and reading. He’s excited about his family’s upcoming move to Italy, and he’s been busy learning Italian and teaching it to his siblings.
Henry Kenelm Beste dies of typhus at twenty years, four months, and twenty-five days. That’s how his dad records it. That’s why his dad is telling this story. It’s not an extraordinary story—Kenelm’s story struck me because he sounds so…ordinary, like so many kids today. And he was so, so loved. His dad tried hard to help him compassionately with his mental health at a time where our current knowledge and support systems didn’t exist. You can feel how badly he wanted his son to be remembered and loved, to impress how dearly beloved he was to the people who knew him in life.
I hope he’d be glad to know someone is still thinking of Kenelm over 200 years later.
Anyway, that’s why I’m crying today.

You ever read a fic and then look at the author’s way of writing a certain character and go “Well. That’s a generous interpretation of them.”?
That’s me with Vegeta sometimes.
