literally cannot stop thinking about how pavlove getting put on spotify is so much more than just like a fun, cool thing that’s been a long time coming as a fan. it very much is that, but it also is symbolically so important? like, this is a song that was a bonus track on an album fob felt like they had to ignore and shy away from for nearly 15 years. this was a song that they probably never intended to play live (like much of folie) or release on streaming- until they started seeing just how much fans wanted it. until patrick mentioned wanting to play headfirst slide, and they saw that fans actually wanted that and so they did. and then they kept playing folie songs for the 8 ball songs, pavlove included. and the response to those folie 8 balls was overwhelmingly positive and full of love and encouragement. until fob saw how loved they and folie and pavlove truly are by fob fans now, to the point where they were able to heal from the fear of unhappy fans and a negative response to music they were truly proud of. to the point where they released pavlove on streaming. the thing about fall out boy is that they genuinely love and care about their fans, they show us the love we show them and i sincerely believe this is one of the finest examples of that

but also i absolutely think edelgard can have some mobility aids as a treat specifically for me, mobility aid user and edelgard enthusiast. i think the double-cresting she has going on means she has some level of chronic fatigue. use crutches babygirl <33 you know what? She can use a wheelchair, too. And a cane. All the mobility aids for my girl.

lysithea too, for that matter. I'm very fond of lysithea being the default recipient of Hilda's embellishment and decorating. I think Lys has trouble with her joints and uses braces, wraps, and ergonomic designs of things. Whatever motif Hilda has designed this month, Lys will give a test run.

Pete's heartbeat has calmed down, as has his breathing. Now, only the sweet ache remains. Lingering on all the parts of his body Vegas touched. Vegas lays next to him, his hand supporting the weight of his head, his fingers running softly through Pete's hair, unlike before. Pete doesn't really have a preference, he's come to realize; he just likes it when Vegas takes care of him, no matter the way he does it. It's soothing, pleasant. He starts drifting; he'll probably be asleep soon, at this rate. Vegas' voice snaps him out of it. "You almost said it this time." The words make him suck in a shallow breath. He knows what Vegas means. It almost slipped out of his mouth, before he became aware of himself long enough to gulp it down. He hums. He doesn't open his eyes. "Hey, Pete," Vegas says in lieu of a proper answer. Pete prepares himself; he knows he won't like the next part. "If you had to choose between telling me you love me and having your dick cut off, what would you do?" Pete opens his eyes. He can see it: behind the bland expression on Vegas' face, the desperation in his eyes couldn't be more clear. It takes Pete half a second to decide. He turns around and grabs the knife resting on the bedside table. Vegas stops him. "Are you out of your fucking mind?!" Pete almost laughs, but manages to hold it back. "You told me to choose." Vegas' face morphs into something Pete hates. He looks hurt. He shouldn't be, not when he was the one who asked. Pete hands him the knife. "We don't need it for this, right? You can cut it off, if that's what you want." Vegas' eyes widen. He looks... scared, is how Pete would describe it. He almost says something about it before Vegas speaks first. "Pete... is it so difficult for you to say it?" Pete remains silent.

Hi! Can you tell me why you fell in love with this show and these characters? ⚔️

oh gosh why indeed. i'd say it was the characters first. the sheer fact that beatrice exists - a badass queer woman of color - within this context was incredible to me (mind, i grew up with 90s shows where a) subtext was the closest we were ever gonna get in terms of queer rep and b) asian women were always relegated to being either "other" or a trophy gf or both), not to mention ava freaking silva with her fierce joy for life and love, for her love of life, and the ferocity with which she defends that for others. and that's not even touching all the other characters!

which leads me to the second reason: fandom. if it wasn't for fandom, i wouldn't have gotten interested in the other characters, in the nuances and beauty of the show, etc. everyone's love has been so fervent in fanworks and discussions - it's also what gave me the courage to start posting my own fics, and as they say, the rest is history lol

this may sound trite, but it's true: a lot of things about wn fandom changed my life. i'll be forever thankful to have been witness to it, much less part of it <3
