Whoever you want from your masterlist (women) x fem reader
Reader loves physical touch like kisses and hugs and she also loves words of affection like being complimented/praised and loves being called pet names, but this is only around whoever you chose like when she’s around other people she’s really anxious and hates people talking to her or touching her if yk what I mean
Haven || Beth Phoenix x Reader
Summary: Beth is your safe haven. You're super clingy with her. You love when she kisses and hugs you, you love the words of affection she gives you, the reassurance. But if someone else tries to treat you like Beth does, you freak out.
A/N: Thank you for letting me pick anon, I've missed writing for Beth:)
Tumblr media
Beth was your sanctuary, the one person you felt completely comfortable around. You were incredibly clingy with her, but she never minded. In fact, she thrived on your affection, adoring your need for closeness, kisses, and hugs.
Whenever you were near Beth, the world faded away. Her arms around you made you feel safe, her kisses were like sweet promises, and her words of affection warmed your heart. She praised you, showered you with compliments, and called you the sweetest pet names. It was a love that knew no bounds.
However, that deep need for closeness and affection was unique to Beth. When anyone else tried to touch you or get too close, you'd feel a surge of anxiety. It wasn't that you disliked other people; it was just that Beth was your sanctuary, your one true haven.
She understood this perfectly and respected your boundaries. Beth knew that you felt vulnerable in the arms of anyone else, but when it came to her, it was different. You cherished her touch, her words, and her love. In her embrace, you found solace, and with her, you felt like you could conquer the world.
Beth never pushed you to be different, and she never made you feel guilty for your preferences. She knew you were a complex, unique individual, and she embraced every part of you, including your quirks and insecurities.
So, in Beth's arms, you found the love, acceptance, and sanctuary you needed. It was a beautiful, intimate connection that allowed you to be your authentic self, without judgment or hesitation. Beth was your anchor, your love, and the one person who understood you like no other.

I’ve always been a big fan of @thebethphoenix She was the bigger fish amongst other cool fishes in a pond that was filled with mud. She did what she could but I feel there were certain barriers that she wasn’t able to break, not because she didn’t try (Second woman ever in the Royal Rumble, anyone?!) All this just to say its cool to see her being able to perform at top level after all this time. She deserves to showcase all her power!

Born on this day: sensationally beautiful burlesque dancer turned Russ Meyer glamazon Haji (24 January 1946 - 9 August 2013). Haji graced five of Meyer’s sexploitation masterpieces (starting with Motorpsycho in 1965) and enlivened them all with her exotic, sultry presence (she is awe-inspiring in Good Morning and … Goodbye! (1967) and Beyond the Valley of the Dolls (1970) - but she will forever be remembered as the vicious Latina go-go dancer Rosie in one of my all-time favourite films, Faster, Pussycat! Kill! Kill! (1965). She gives a towering performance as the sexy lesbian girlfriend of tough-as-nails villainess Varla (Tura Satana), sometimes literally spitting with rage, picking her teeth with a switchblade, and employing a thick comedic Spanglish accent. (Haji and Satana had already known each other for years, having danced together in Los Angeles strip clubs since the early 1960s). One of Haji’s best moments is when the drippy good girl Linda misguidedly offers the trio of homicidal go-go dancers a soft drink, and Rosie snarls, "Honey, we don't like nothin' soft! Everything we touch is hard!" Details of Haji’s early life are misty: of British-Filipino descent, she appears to have been born Cerlet Catton (or Barbarella Catton, depending on your source) in Quebec, Canada and began dancing at age 14. Haji’s niche in the glamour jungle is certainly secure.

beth phoenix x fem reader taking a vacation?
In the mountains || Beth Phoenix x Reader
Summary: When you and Beth finally get some time off she books the two of you a little getaway.
Tumblr media
As you step out of the car and take in the surroundings, a sense of tranquility washes over you. The mountain air is crisp and refreshing, and the scent of pine trees fills your senses. Beside you, Beth wears a wide smile that mirrors your own excitement. This cabin getaway is long overdue.
"Wow, this place is amazing," you exclaim, gazing at the cabin nestled among the trees.
Beth chuckles, her eyes twinkling. "I'm glad you like it. I thought a quiet escape to the mountains would be perfect for us."
Hand in hand, you approach the cabin and unlock the door. Inside, the rustic charm of the space instantly captures your attention. A cozy living area with a crackling fireplace, a fully equipped kitchen, and large windows that offer breathtaking views of the landscape – it's everything you could have hoped for.
"We have this whole place to ourselves," Beth remarks, her voice filled with delight.
The two of you explore the cabin, each room revealing more delights – a spacious bedroom with a plush bed, a snug loft area, and a bathroom with a clawfoot tub that practically invites you to unwind.
After settling in, you both decide to take a walk around the area. The scenery is simply enchanting, with winding trails leading you through the forest. The sun casts dappled shadows on the path, and the sound of birdsong accompanies your leisurely stroll. Beth's hand remains interlocked with yours, her presence a constant reminder of the love you share.
As the sun begins to set, you return to the cabin. Beth starts a fire in the fireplace, filling the room with a warm, flickering glow. The crackling flames create a cozy ambiance that sets the perfect tone for the evening.
"We should cook dinner," Beth suggests with a playful grin. "I heard there's a little grocery store nearby."
Together, you put together a delicious meal, laughing and chatting as you work side by side in the kitchen. The aroma of the food fills the cabin, making your stomach growl in anticipation.
With dinner prepared and enjoyed, you find yourselves lounging by the fireplace. Beth's arm is draped around your shoulders, her touch grounding and comforting. You talk about everything and nothing, sharing stories, dreams, and a few playful jokes along the way.
As the night deepens, you decide to venture outside. The clear mountain sky is a canvas of stars, each one twinkling in the darkness. Wrapped in a blanket, you and Beth lay back on the cabin's porch, staring up in awe.
"It's so beautiful," you murmur, your voice carrying a sense of wonder.
Beth's hand finds yours, her fingers intertwining with yours. "Just like you."
You turn to her, your heart fluttering at the sincerity in her gaze. In this serene setting, under the canopy of stars, you feel truly connected, surrounded by nature's beauty and Beth's unwavering affection.
As the night unfolds, you find yourselves retreating back into the cabin, cocooned in each other's arms. The crackling firelight dances across Beth's features, casting a warm glow. With a gentle kiss, she pulls you closer, her touch sending waves of comfort and love through your being.
This cabin, this escape to the mountains, has become a cherished memory. It's a place where you can disconnect from the world and focus on the bond you share with Beth. Wrapped up in each other's embrace, you drift into a peaceful sleep, feeling grateful for this moment of serenity and the love that guides you through it.

Amazons
Amazons, Warrior Women Games, 2006
As one would expect, you play Amazons in this game - women from out of Greek myth.* You're warriors, hunters, scouts, sailors, and sages. There's only one supernatural power involved (which I'll get into later), so no witches or demigods or anything.
Your characters are defined by a fairly standard set of attributes and skills - Strength, Agility, Wisdom, Spear, Archery, Stealth, etc. All of them are done with a pyramidal cost scheme. As a result, it's easy to build a group where your characters overlap too much. It costs the same number of points to buy a 10-point skill (rolling 1d10x10) as it does to buy two skills at 8 and 6 (1d10x8 and 1d10x6), and the 8 and 6 are generally high enough to hit the typical target numbers. I think what I'm trying to say is that the game could really use a better approach to handling character archetypes, both for flavor purposes and for niche protection.
As mentioned, the game uses multiplication, which you'll either be fine with or will really bother you. Since it's dice-times-stat instead of dice-times-dice, the probability distribution is fairly flat, and you don't have weird statistics stuff going on. You do get margin-of-success effects from rolling higher, but you don't actually have to do two-digit subtraction. Instead, you get one "rank" of success for every point by which the tens place in your result is higher than the tens in your opponent's result. You roll a 25 and they have a 48? They have a rank-2 success. Same if you roll a 28 and they have a 40. Ranks get you damage, but also duration and effectiveness for other types of roll. It's a little weird at low values - a 12 and an 18 get you a tie even though one is 50% higher than the other - but it works well for higher values.
The particularly cool part of the game is that you play in two time periods simultaneously: ancient Greece and modern-day Athens. Your characters went "through" the Oracle at Delphi (is that how that works??) and are experiencing parallel events. When they run into a businessman in the modern day, they meet a merchant in ancient Greece. A Spartan warrior might become a rich but violent criminal. They see both things happening at once, and the GM is encouraged to mix the two in their descriptions. Philosophers arguing in the shadow of concrete and steel. Ocean liners passing by sailing vessels. It's an interesting conceit, and it gives you some cool ways to solve problems in one time by approaching them i the other.
Typical antagonists are "cruel people in positions of power" - slavers, price-gouging traders, sadistic princes, petty senators, etc. Several examples are statted up, along with their entourages. There isn't much discussion of what the backlash is going to be from your characters going after those people and their well-trained bodyguards. Like a lot of this game, the surface level is presented and any implications are left to the GM and their table.
As we leave this review, it may be interesting to know that Warrior Women Games was two cis men in their twenties. The game is written with respect, but without personal experience. There's no major misogyny here, no particular fetishization or anti-feminist rhetoric involved. There's also no real punch to the fact that you're actually playing women. On the one hand - awesome! The game treats your women characters just like it would treat men characters. Straight-up equality. On the other hand, there's a missed opportunity to dig into how your ancient women experience the modern world. There's no discussion of what has changed and what has not since the (admittedly fictional*) time of the Amazons. I think a game written by someone able to delve into that experience more might be more compelling. But I'll at least give it credit for not having fallen into a number of traps that plague other men-written-women-centric games. You're not going to cringe reading this.
*Edit to add, March 2024: Maybe the Amazons are not as fictional as I thought! https://www.theguardian.com/science/2024/mar/24/truth-behind-the-myths-amazon-warrior-women-of-greek-legend-may-really-have-existed
