no but something i'm thinking about is how midorima consistently shows that he likes kagami, he just doesn't know how to handle his wild personality. from the very beginning, THE VERY VERY BEGINNING, midorima has seen a huge amount of potential in kagami and has HELPED HIM to figure out his strengths, in order to help dethrone the ex-miragen. midorima had already abandoned the teiko "winning over everything" mentality before his first competition. he isn't interested in basketball as a sport to dominate in, he's interested because he loves it. he wants powerful opponents to fight. he wants to have fun with his friends.

Fer Monster Prom (these QUEERS and their PROMS istg /lh) I need a plot point to be that Something Important broke down ohhh nooooo like a generator powering the school or even the portal needs an extra blast of life spark to stabilize it and as everyone’s running around tryna power the Important Thing up Cleo pulls up, takes one look of the situation, says, “More power? Stand back, ghouls and boos, your most benevolent mummy representative’s got this”, cups Frankie’s confused face (who still hunches down nevertheless fer Cleo like the confused yet willing puppy they are), gently kisses them smack on the cheek, and then-
BBBZZZTTTT!!!!⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️
“YO THAT ACTUALLY WORKED?!?”
Whamo bamo the world is saved all thanks to Cleo’s great sacrifice of frizzled hair and lowkey charred bandages. Girlypop was standing RIGHT in the danger zone of lovestruck lightning; she knew the price which had to be paid and did NOT hesitate even though she had spent hours before picking out the perfect prom dress and all that. After recovering from Sheer Gay Shutdown™️, Frankie panics and holds Cleo’s slightly smoking body close as monsters rush around behind the pair.
“Cleo?! Are you okay?!”
“Oh my Ra, precious, that was… spooktacular…”
Cleo is so outta it from her super noble act of altruism. The most selfless of all monsters, truly.

My other Old Big Interest that I never talk about is Super Paper Mario. When I was some small age before I even integrated Ice into my brain I was coming up with a lot of fakemons and a whole story for me my sibling and our best friend to larp out, only I basically copy pasted the SPM Chaos Heart into it, and made up a fakemon linked to it specifically. I don't remember much else about it. SPM is still heavily ingrained in my subconscious though. (Listening to its OST)

Schock (Shock, 1977)
"Ghosts are only a figment of our imagination. We ourselves create them to justify our behaviour."
#schock#shock#beyond the door ii#italian cinema#mario bava#horror film#dardano sacchetti#lamberto bava#gianfranco barberi#alessandro parenzo#daria nicolodi#john steiner#david colin jr.#ivan rassimov#paul costello#nicola salerno#bava snr's final completed film (with a little help from jnr). the holy trinity of Bava‚ Nicolodi and Rassimov couldn't make this quite the#masterpiece I'd hoped for‚ but hell‚ I'd watch Daria paint a bathroom and be grateful. actually this is pretty good; unusually modern#feeling for Bava (you can feel the long tendrils of American new horror cinema beginning to creep into his colourful Italian gothic) and#undeniably slow to develop. more mainstream‚ in some sense‚ or perhaps just less stylistically singular than most of his filmography#but there are flashes of his genius‚ particularly in the nightmarish final act of grand dreamlike horror meeting#slow burn domestic madness. a haunted house story that isn't overly interested in the house: it's more about the haunted‚ the people and#the applied tension which bends and bends until it breaks. Steiner‚ as he always did‚ lends excellent support; I only found out after#watching this that he'd died earlier this year‚ something I missed at the time. his performance in Tenebre is something to behold‚ barely#ten minutes of screentime but he grabs the very bleeding heart of that film. Rassimov hasn't much to do but he's as handsome and as lovely#as he ever was. and Daria. it's nearly two years since we lost her now and it's still difficult to conceive of a world without her. here‚#as in every film she graced (too few)‚ she delivers a performance which is mesmerising for its sheer power and nuance and technical ability#that her work was mostly within the horror genre has predictably seen her often overlooked when discussing the great Italian actors#but if anything it takes even more talent‚ even more courage‚ to carve out a niche for yoirself in such a denigrated and ill respected#field and to still give your whole heart‚ body and soul to your work in a way that demands the highest praise

also while im ehre . i would like to preface this by saying i know damn well splatoon 4 is like not even a glimpse of a thought yet and i am soo perfectly fine and content with that i just think conceptualizing is fun . anyway i think if we were going to do another 'final splatfest decides the sorta theme feel of the next game' i think past present future would be fun.
oh to have past be sorta art-deco themed . whatever the fuck bioshock did i guess for past. the idols have clothes themed after 20-30s mixed with a few modern touches mayhaps . could be themed more like radio shows for splatcasts possibly .
oh to have just . normalcore guys . literally just like a wholeass news crew. they cut to one another and report on specific aspects that usually get covered (one for covering like maybe fake weather and turf war stages, one for ranked series battles , another for ranked open battles, and one for game-related updates who might offer some other commentary hereand there idk, big man role) in splatcasts.
oh to have some futuristic guys. this one could def go a few ways with like . minimalism or (in an ideal world) future funk type of style . or also retrofuturism my darling ..... idk ill be honest i dont havetoo too many ideas for this one but ohhh my god i would kill for retro futuristic areas . i KNOWWW they could do it with the very slight vaporwave-y type things i THINK i remember from octo expansion please . please please please .
