ok no im so tired but ive had this Thing a Laughingstock Concept Thing in my Brain for Days Now and its.... basically what if Barnaby adopted a lil caterpillar. like it's not sapient or anything its literally A Wriggly Puppet Prop. but he finds it in his home and it reminds him of Howdy and he keeps it. he carries it everywhere. he treats it so tenderly and names it and everything. his delusional smitten subconscious is like "omg... mine & howdy's <3" he and Howdy are not even together at this point

so Barnaby cares for this lil caterpillar and Howdy ends up getting attached as well, because he's on the same shit as Barnaby. and eventually the lil caterpillar pupates, and they watch over the chrysalis So Excited to see what lil wormie will look like as a butterfly. and it emerges and they're so proud and weirdly emotional. the butterfly takes off on its first flight and lands on a flower patch

just in time for Eddie to trip and fall on the patch, instantly crushing it And the butterfly

halloween au started last year in an attempt to make a sanegiyu fic for halloween and i frakenstein’d sanemi & genya with an ookami- then that labyrinth doodle a while ago & now i got this whole shit with sabito being as close as a human can get to being a wild animal-

yadda yadda all the surviving victims get sedated & taken out the labyrinth to be transported to get medical care or started on rehabilitation- sabito wakes up with a massive pain flare-up from his kitsune arm and they rush in to help-

Chapter 26: Nightmares and Dreamscapes

This street looked familiar, though he didn’t know if he'd ever seen it before. A courtyard of fawn-coloured stone lined with a vibrant kaleidoscope of flowers. Statues stood solemnly flanking a portcullis through which the front drive led away from the magnificent castle before him. A fountain splashed merrily from an alcove. In other circumstances it might have seemed a calming place, but it wasn’t. For the first time since these visions had begun, he saw other people—workers in coveralls, strangers in elaborate clothing and a disgusting excess of jewels, men in red jackets standing guard. He would have welcomed their presence, but they didn’t seem to see him. It was as though he didn’t exist. Was this still a dream, he wondered, or something far worse? He sucked down a shaky breath of sea-scented air to ground himself. Ran a hand through his hair and tried to calm his breathing.
