Discworld-"What I Did On My Holidays"
Really wished this book was real, and it's all just a picture book on the events of "The Color of Magic" and "The Light Fantastic"
And hey!, it's my first time drawing Rincewind and Two-Flower! Let's go!!!!

Inside every sane person there's a madman struggling to get out, said the shopkeeper, that's what I've always thought. No one goes mad quicker than a totally sane person.
-Terry Pratchett, The Light Fantastic (via the Cursed Shopkeeper)
..........................
Reading this gave me a double take because this theme is carried throughout almost all the books, especially among main characters. The Witches Series have loads of characters like these, Vimes has his mad dark alter-ego, the Vampire always live at the edge, the Rats from Maurice and his Talented Rodents, the Wizards from Sourcery, Rincewind when he loses all self-control, Jeremy Clockson.
You'd think it's a throwaway quote from the early books but it is not. It is a theme Terry Pratchett always played around with. Amazing. Truly Amazing.

Rincewind is many things. A wizard. A coward. A reluctant tour guide. Twoflower's piece on the side while on holiday, but he doesn't learn that for several books.

"Magic, so that's what it felt like. No wonder wizards didn't have much truck with sex." Rincewind knew what orgasms were of course, he had a few in his time, sometimes even in company. But nothing in his experience even approximated to that tight, hot moment when every nerve in his body streamed with blue-white fire and raw magic had blazed forth from his fingers. It filled you and lifted you and you surfed down the rising, curling wave of elemental force. No wonder wizards fought for power... and so on.
Terry Pratchett, The Light Fantastic (via Rincewind)
..........
Rincewind experiencing sensory and sensual overload because he used magic for the first time (thru the Octavo 8th spell's powers).
The other implications of these quote
Rincewind is the rare wizard with a sexual life (by himself or with others)
WIzards are so used to magic that sex don't give that much pleasure to them or confuses them (Outliers: Nanny Ogg and Bengo Macarona)
Puts into perspective on how senior wizards generally don't know what to do when they feel horny (looking at you, Senior Wrangler)
Witches got their shit together much better than their male counterparts (since the gals get married and can still do their jobs properly)
...also damn what an apt description of an orgasm this is lol.
