"Willy’s Chocolate Experience LA"— organized by a collective of local artists unaffiliated with those behind the Glasgow event — had a similar vibe. This time, however, attendees knew what they were signing up for.
Held in a worn-down warehouse embellished with a few candy cane props, the one-night only pop-up event stayed true to the underwhelming decor of the Glasgow event, complete with artificial intelligence-generated art. Attendees were even offered two complimentary jellybeans, just like in Glasgow.
Paterson, who went viral after a photo of her looking miserable at the Glasgow experience became a meme format, said she was excited to travel to Los Angeles to play the iconic knock-off Oompa Loompa role once again.
Jacob Alpharad, 28, was among the attendees who showed up to see Paterson.
“I don’t think there’s any celebrity I could meet that would impress my friends more than her specifically,” Alpharad said. “I was just happy to be born at the same time as [the Glasgow event]. It sounds like a skit right out of a sitcom.”
This is incredible. I love this. This is like if someone made a crappy DashCon II complete with ballpit which btw we should do, there's still time.

Just making a general post real quick in response to an ask.
When I say I'm anti-ai I mean I'm against any sort of AI that steals from others or would otherwise be used to put people out of a job. I don't feel like having an elaborate conversation about the positives and negatives of AI and all that, so I'll state this as plainly as possible.
I don't like AI art. I don't like AI voice impersonations. I don't like any sort of AI that has to steal stuff from people without their consent in order to function. That is literally it.
I'm not against ALL AI. I don't think people that are okay with AI in general should be burned at the stake or something. I'm just an artist and writer that doesn't like AI being used in CREATIVE SPACES. That's it.
I didn't think I would have to clarify this but, here you go, for anyone that was bothered.

I think the absolutely most baffling thing to me that I've noticed in the AI generated image discourse is that people seem to think that artists don't make any compromises or sacrifices ever and live perfect, comfortable lives where things just happen to align perfectly for them to have the time to create art that perfectly aligns with their vision
"I don't have the time to draw" do you really know if artists simply have the time to draw or on the contrary, have to sacrifice something to gain that time to draw? can you be so sure that they don't have to deal with hardships to gain the time to draw? or, they have the time to draw because they can't do something else in their lives due to their circumstances, and drawing is the only thing that will fill this time?
"I can't create stuff that meets my vision" how can you be so sure that the stuff artists create meets their vision? do you really think this art was their vision from the absolute beginning? or did they actually have to make compromises to reach this specific look, which maybe wasn't what they aimed for to begin with? can you even be sure if the medium they spend the most time on is the medium they intended to pick up from the beginning, or is it a medium they've had to pick up to compromise for not picking up another art form they wanted to stick to in the first place due to myriads of reasons?
you folks seem to make a lot of assumptions about people you don't personally know

Sometimes when I have a difficult time sleeping through the night I'll go to Sherlock's flat and spend time with him, when he's on a case he'll use me as a sounding board to think aloud and process the evidence, it helps him to think and he knows that his voice soothes me but when he's not on a case he'll often curl up with me on the sofa and read to me until I fall asleep.

Update. Not exactly proud of the hair being so bright. But I’m imagining the light is so bright it makes the helmet hair more intense. More pink instead of red? I’m not sure. When I don’t have references for what I’m drawing, I just make stuff up.

hi!! big fan of your art!! it's really cool to see you on tumblr again!! ah but since i don't think you've been here for a while, i wanted to ask if you knew about the whole thing with tumblr selling data to AI companies?
you have to manually opt out of third party sharing to AI on all of your blogs (done by going to your blog's settings and toggling the option in the visibility section!) to prevent your art from being fed to them -
i wanted to let you know to keep your art safe !!!
awe thanks so much for looking out for me anon!! dw, I do already know and it was the first thing I did when making this blog— I haven’t been posting but I do still use my personal tumblr from time to time! ironically, it’s probably not the best time for me to make my return to tumblr given the shitshow and AI situation but 💀 it’s been on my mind so I wanted to give it another shot!
i appreciate the warning..!!!
