Kind of a headcanon, just another little detail!! Sorry for the long one... oops...

Lifestealers wax their clothing - not all but definitely a lot, especially pvp sweats… If you don’t know what waxing clothes means, it’s when you take a bar of beeswax (you can use others probably but I’ve only heard about beeswax being used) and you rub it onto your clothing! You then use something hot (people usually use a hairdryer as it’s hot air (yk)) to then melt the wax into the fabric! This then makes the clothes waterproof, though it wears out after a while but you can just do it again. 

Also, so sweet that you’d think of me when seeing the moon… It’s not like a waxing crescent is the only identifiable bit about me… By the way, I chose this phase as it was the moon phase when I was born - so you get lore or something idk.

thinking about how steve was homophobic and misogynistic in s1 but they gave him a chance to be faced with a demogorgon when people needed help and he stepped up. everyone lauds him for that, and he's become a fan favourite. yet when billy, finally in his right mind after being possessed the whole season, gets the opportunity and chooses to do the same--stepping up to take a killing blow for el--people dont offer him the same grace? why. :(

the biggest (reasonable) argument is always 'billy dying was not a redemption' and it's not, you're right. steve stepping in to whack a demogorgon with jonathan's nail bat wasnt a redemption either; his redemption came with him apologizing to them both, and then working to show nancy that he's a better person as they deal with the fallout of s1, and being gracious about jonathan's presence in nancy's life. he got the chance to show he's changed and managed to redeem himself because he lived, and billy unfortunately didnt. but you cant deny that his final moments proved that the potential for him to change is there, and that makes a difference.

AU where Dick rates food and movies on DickRates.com (As a troll because he's discovered friend and staff member Floyd Talbert has created a personal dating website while he's on base at Ford Dix. Dick thinks it a fitting punishment for getting them in trouble with the boss.) and it goes viral because it sounds like a porn site but it's really about ice cream? And movies? Dick's bored, he's stuck behind a desk in the Army, so this is what he does in his spare time, eating by himself and taking notes.

And now Lewis Nixon, THE guy who writes those descriptions of whiskey for the catalog, (Vat is a blended Scotch with a light, very fresh and slightly spicy taste profile that includes almonds, pears, caramel and spice) finds out about it. It's all over social media, and he's always browsing for new whiskey to try. He's bored, recently divorced, and DYING to know if he took a porn domain on purpose or is Amish and doesn't realize what he did.

What ensues is Nix plotting out all the locations Dick has had ice cream, dinner, or seen movies, and trying to determine where he will go next. He's obsessed with his simple and kinda judgy ratings of everything. Dick ends up going to Ranger school and a bunch of other training things so he throws him with random snacking around America but he's pretty sure this guy is in South Jersey somewhere.

And the bastard doesn't allow submissions or comments on his website so Nix has got to track him down, in person, and pretend he's just some guy walking his wiener dog and looking for ice cream.

was re-reading the yuri solo chapter (ch 41) of spy x family today and it's got me wondering about what will happen between Yor and Yuri when their respective jobs are revealed (if they ever are) to each other

For those who don't remember/don't want to re-read, chapter 41 follows Yuri on his SSS job. He's tasked with investigating an Ostanian reporter who is writing fake, disparaging stories about Ostania to be sold in Westalia. The reporter's motivation is revealed to be money and family related

It obviously strikes a cord with Yuri. He lost his parents when he was young, arguably too young to remember much about them. As a result, he grew up in poverty. Presumably, Yor gave up education and a life of her own just so Yuri could have some semblance of a childhood.

In turn, Yuri also sacrificed himself for Yor. One thing I really hope gets touched upon in the future story is how manipulative the respective character's organizations are. We already know that Anya and Bond were brutally experimented upon. We also know Twilight was a depressed teenager when he joined WISE. We still don't know exactly when Yor joined The Garden, but we know she was very young. And Yuri himself is only 20, around the same age as the college terrorists from Bond's introduction arc. He was 19 when he joined the SSS. In terms of human development, he's at the perfect age for an adult to be idealistic (and therefore easily manipulated).

Yet Yuri doesn't think he's being manipulated or doing anything bad. He refuses to suspect that Yor was doing dirty work despite all the evidence to the contrary. As far as we can tell, Yuri keeps his thoughts about Yor's childhood job to "it was a difficult job" & doesn't explore beyond that.

So when he's faced with the reporter doing a bad thing for good intentions, Yuri is seen disregarding that second part.

"I'm different from you" he says. And there's the implication "my sister is different from you".

He spares the reporter the shame of being arrested in front of his father. But something that really strikes me is this

If Yuri has the power to grant this family financial assistance, why didn't he do that first? We know from the chapter that the reporter doesn't go out to make his fake Ostania stories until the landlady demands rent. If Yuri hadn't disregarded the family motivation from his report, would he have avoided ripping a family apart?

And that brings me back to a potential identity reveal between Yuri and Yor. Would Yuri be able to look at Yor literally murdering people and fit it into his ideal of his "perfect" sister who has done no wrong? And would be able to cope if Yor disapproved of his job at the SSS, since she joined The Garden in the first place to protect him and his happiness?

I know there's gonna be angst with the TwiYor and Anya reveal. But I'm really hoping for some sibling angst, too.

We have finally arrived at the last branch of the main Bloodborne tree, and as crazy as it looks, it is true, Vlad had offspring, but it didn't turned out well (obviously). Vlad was a man who loved many things, from the most complicated schemes to the simplest instincts, like sex. Vlad's favorite activity is one founded by himself and established during his reign, the Blood Orgies. These activities where typical of wealthy vampires, rich enough to buy humans, having sex with them and then eating them all. Humans were very expensive in the kingdom, so much that renting them was more common for the middle class vampires, therefore they wouldn't kill them, just use them for any purpose that didn't violate the terms of the owner. For a vampire to buy a bunch of humans And killing them, that was a True sign of wealth.

Vlad took this activity to another level, he had a special hall in his castle, with a huge swimming pool of blood, he had the orgies there and he hated being interrupted (and sometimes he even ate other vampires there). But one day he decided to try something different, a vampire prostitute, one that he wouldn't eat alive. Why, you ask? Just for the fun of trying something different. Because of this encounter, the woman got pregnant, and after the baby was born she abandoned him, she didn't want to have anything to do with Vlad.

This bastard son grew to be the greatest soldier of the kingdom, stronger than Dark the Duke of War. Vlad quickly recognized not only his talent, but his own flesh and blood. The vampires can recognize their blood relatives just by looking at them, they can sense the blood connection. Vlad became closer to him, and thus the people in the kingdom started to suspect he was indeed Vlad's son, that's why they called him Vick the Bastard Bloodborne.

Eventually, Vick got bored and tired of his own culture, he didn't like any of it, he grew up alone and poor, his wealth came from his hard work and accomplishments even if he was a nobody, and now being "Somebody" didn't matter either. That's why he left the kingdom, never to come back.
