Last Night
Jim Halpert x Reader
Tumblr media
A/N: Well, took me a bit longer than I thought it would but here it is! The fic yall voted on the last few weeks! Not entirely sure how I feel about it, bit back and forth for me, changed quite a few ideas from when I first decided I was going to write based on this song, but yeah! Let me know what you think!
This fic is based on the song Last Night (Beer Fear) by Lucy Spraggan so I suggest giving it a listen to!
WC: 4.2K
Master
A/N2: When you see “---” that means a time skip forward or backward depending on where you are in the fic, hopefully that makes sense!
---
Your head hurt.
Oh god, did your head hurt.
You hated being hungover. Last time you were hungover this bad, it was the night before your college graduation and you promised yourself the next day that you would never drink that much again. Obviously, last night you decided to break that promise.
Your situation only proved worse when the alarm next to the bed went off, signaling it was 8 am. You slap your hand against the table, looking for your phone, but instead you’re met with a bedside clock, finally stopping its ear torturing sound. You barely have time to sigh in relief before you struggle to take in your surroundings. Your head was still pounding and your eyes refused to open all the way but one thing was certain.
This was not your room.
This was not your house.
You woke up in someone else’s house.
First things first, check for your clothes. With a simple glance down, your heart sinks. Gone was your Halloween costume from the last night and in its place was a T-shirt that wasn’t yours and by the looks of it on you, belong to a man, as well as a pair of shorts also not belonging to you.
“Shiiiiiit.” You whisper to yourself only seconds before a knock comes at the door. You jump in place, clutching the blanket close to your body and ignoring the urge to throw up everything you ate yesterday. The door opens much too slowly for your liking before a very, very familiar head of shaggy brown hair appears and every muscle in your body relaxes.
Jim smiles sheepishly when he sees you in his bed. Your hair was a mess and you were wearing one of his old shirts from college. There was a ghost of your smile when you realize it was just Jim coming in that made him smile wide himself.
“Morning, sleepyhead.” He chuckles, handing you a glass of water and an aspirin. You don’t say anything as you take the pill and glass from him, gulping it down as fast as you can. “How do you feel?”
“I can taste colors.” You grumble, putting the glass next to Jim’s alarm clock. Jim laughs. He was unsure what exactly to say, although you were in the same position. You glance around the room, silently taking it all in and waiting for the pounding right behind your eyes to stop. “It’s Saturday, why is your alarm going off?” You finally say, meeting Jim’s eyes with a squint.
Jim’s brows raise comically as he nods. “I like to wake up at the same time.” He shrugs.
You shake your head. “You’re supposed to sleep in on the weekends.” Jim exhales a quietier laugh and you watch him rock on his heels, unable to look you in the eye anymore. You clear your throat, clutching the blanket a little tighter. “Uh, Jim?” He hums, leaning on the wall behind him. “Last night, did we… um…” you weren’t really sure you wanted to finish that sentence, but luckily you didn’t have to. Jim was quick to shake his head and you let out a huge sigh of relief. “Oh, thank god.” He quirks a brow and your eyes widen. “I didn’t mean like… just that, you know, I was drunk and you were drunk… and we’re coworkers… and friends?”
“It’s alright.” Jim’s posture relaxes and you feel your cheeks heat up a little at the prospect.
“Not that it would be a bad thing.” You quickly say before you can stop yourself, hating the fact your hangover hadn’t stopped you or said something less painfully stupid.
“I know.” You nod your head at Jim’s words, leaning back on his pillow and closing your eyes. Then it struck you; it wasn’t the words Jim said, but how he said them. It was almost like he knew what exactly you were talking about. Almost like he could read your mind, Jim chuckles. “You really don’t remember much of the party last night, do you?”
You shake your head, your breath stuck in your throat. “Was it bad?”
Jim tilts his head, thinking about yesterday before a smile crosses his face.
---
Last Night…
Jim walks into the office 15 minutes after the office’s costume party was supposed to start. He will never understand why Michael decided on a costume party at the beginning of April, but here he was. There was bad music playing from the office that Jim could hear the moment he stepped out of the elevator, widening his eyes momentarily before adjusting the taped black circles on his torso and pulling the door open.
“Jimbo!” Michael calls out before the door even closed behind Jim. Jim breathes out a laugh, putting his hands in his pockets. “Welcome to the party!”
“Hey Mike.” Michael throws his arm over Jim’s shoulders, struggling a bit with the height of his employee.
Michael leads Jim throughout the office, where he sees his coworkers in all in different costumes with drinks in their hands. Michael finally lets Jim go with a pat and push on the shoulder as Jim snags a drink on his way out of the conference room. He runs into Kelly and Ryan, Kelly sporting a costume that Jim didn’t realize was supposed to be Taylor Swift, and Ryan as a police officer. He was just about to answer Kelly’s question of how he was doing before he spots you, Phyllis, and Pam talking in the kitchen. He smiles to himself before heading your way, catching your attention out of the corner of your eye.
Pam catches your smile growing at the sight of Jim as she nudges your arm. “Will you just tell him you like him already.” She whispers to you despite the glass door separating the two of you. You smack her arm gently, sipping from the red cup in your hand.
“No.”
“Come on, Y/N! Tonight’s the night!” Pam keeps pushing, raising her brows at you multiple times.
Your mouth drops open from her antics. “Pamela Beasley, how drunk are you?” She rolls her eyes at you. “Phyllis, can you tell Pam to lay off?”
“Oh no, Y/N. I’m on her side. I mean, if I never made the first move on Bob, we wouldn’t be married.” She says before grabbing an extra drink and leaving you and Pam, heading towards the Annex where she knows her husband currently is waiting for her.
You tilt your head in defeat, unsure what you expected from seeking Phyllis’ help.
“Tell him.” Pam says seconds before Jim opens the door. Your eyes widen and you can’t help but take another large sip of your drink, knowing if you were going to have any chance of telling Jim you’re desperately in love with him, alcohol would be your best friend.
Pam not-so-sneakily steps away from you as Jim comes in front of you, matching your smile. You look him up and down before adjusting the black dot on Jim’s chest that had started to fall down. “Three-hole punch Jim? Bringing back a classic?”
“Oh absolutely, I put a lot of work in this costume,” Jim hides his smile behind his cup as he takes a drink. He looks you up and down as well, only he takes a bit longer as his brows draw together. “And you are…?”
You chuckle, looking down at the white shirt and pants and black shawl you were wearing. “I’m a penguin.”
A cute penguin, Jim says to himself and before he has the chance to compliment your costume in a way less exposing of his feelings, Michael comes tripping into the kitchen, holding a drink in his hand.
“Jiiiiim! Y/NNNNN!” He says, pointing at the two of you. You and Jim stare at him, neither of you saying anything as Michael pants heavily, his face red from the no doubt numerous drinks he’s already had. He just smiles, looking between you both before he turns around to leave and you can faintly hear the sound of him calling out Ryan’s name as the door closes.
Jim and you fall into a fit of laughter, unsure what exactly to do about your drunk boss. “Why did he get so much alcohol?” Jim asks, shaking his head.
You shrug and finish off the last bit in your cup. “I have no idea, but I am certainly not complaining.” You step to the right of Jim, filling up your cup with the bottles Michael put in the kitchen earlier. “Can we even have this much in the office?” You ask and take a long sip.
Jim watches you carefully as you toss your head back, effectively finishing off the drink you just poured before he gulped. “I uh… I don’t know.” He quiets for a second as you fill up your cup again. “Sure you dont want to slow down there?” He chuckles, although he is a bit worried for you.
You shake your head and smile. “Nope.” You pop the ‘p’. “It’s a party, Jim. And I’m gonna enjoy it.” You stick your cup in the air and Jim cheers against your cup, both of you taking a sip and your eyes widen after yours, starting to feel a bit of a buzz.
“Alright, but I’m not helping with you if you’re hungover tomorrow.” He says as the two of you walk out of the kitchen, joining the rest of the party in the conference room.
---
“That doesn’t sound too bad, I remember most of that and even what Pam, Phyllis and I were talking about.” You can’t imagine the story of last night will remain as boring as those first 15 minutes Jim had described. As long as you didn’t drink that much more after those three drinks.
“What were you guys talking about?”
Uh.
“Nothing?”
Jim chuckles, moving to finally sit down on the bed next to you, causing you to scootch over as he sits on top of the blankets, giving you all the space that you need in your hungover bliss.
“I take it forgot about your ‘bracelets’, then?” Jim smirks, unable to meet your eyes. Your stomach falls greatly, a small vague memory coming back to you as Jim continues his story.
---
Jim loses sight of you for a bit as he is pulled into a drinking game with Kevin and Meredith, narrowly beating Kevin but loosing to Meredith in a landslide. He glances around the conference room and into the bullpen but he doesn’t see you. Most of his coworkers were drunk, but he sees Angela in the corner, sipping on a lemonade in a black cat costume.
“Angela.” He calls out, making her sigh. “You’re not drinking?”
“I don’t drink at work.” She says, despite the fact she’s not currently working. Jim nods, taking another look around from the new spot in the room. “Besides, someone has to make sure no one does something stupid like drive.” Jim nods again, glad despite Angela’s resistance to the party, she is watching her coworkers. Angela stops watching her coworkers actions with disgust and looks up with Jim before sighing even louder. “She’s in the annex.”
Jim’s head snaps her way so fast that he almost spills his drink. “What?”
“Y/N. She’s in the annex with Ryan.” Jim knows he’s blushing at how obvious he was searching for you, but thanks her nonetheless. “Whatever.” She says and walks away to another corner, continuing to sip on her lemonade.
When Jim realizes Angela said you were alone with Ryan, he was quick to make his way out of the bullpen, hearing your laugh before he was even in the annex. When he does walk in, he’s greeted with you and Ryan a bit too close for his liking. “What’s going on?” He calls out and Ryan jumps back, one of his hands coming up to scratch the back of his neck and the other picking up his cup of beer on the table.
“Hey man,” Ryan says before downing his drink. Jim gives him a look of distrust before focusing on you.
“Jim!” Your eyes light up as you turn around to see who was there and right away Jim knows you’ve had quite a few more drinks or shots in his absence. The second thing he notices is the metal circling around your right wrist. You hold up the wrist to show him with a smile. “Do you like my bracelet?” the loose cuff almost smacks you in the face but you don’t react. Your smile, however, does fall the moment you get a good look at the costume piece. “Oh, wait…” you say to yourself. “They’re handcuffs.” You stare at the piece for a moment before smiling again. “I took them from the police.”
“You took them from the police?” Jim finally manages to say, wanting to make sure he doesn’t have to murder Ryan.
“She did.” Ryan is quick to nod. Jim still isn’t quick sure he believe him but once he’s focused on you again, you’ve got the bracelet off your wrist and chucking it at the temps head. Jim has to hold back a laugh as it knocks the hat off Ryan’s head, and smacks him in the face.
---
You’re quiet, burrowing your face in Jim’s pillow in embarrassment. “Oh my god.” You finally say.
Jim clears his throat. “You don’t uh, happen to remember exactly what was happening there, did you?”
Much to his relief you nod and say, “Yeah, I took his cuffs because I wanted to prove I could do a magic trick.”
“Can you do magic tricks?”
“I’ve never done a magic trick in my life.” You shake your head and pull the pillow away just in time for Jim and you to both start laughing again, although your embarrassment was reaching new levels of insane. “Please tell me that was all I did and I went home right after that.” Jim stays silent, but he looks right into your eyes, causing your heart to skip and your stomach to flip. “Please tell me I didn’t embarrass myself more.”
---
“Okay, I am taking you home.” Jim says and takes you by the hand, gently leading you out of the annex and through the kitchen. By the time you both enter the bullpen, Jim hears you gasp and he stops instinctively, thinking you might be hurt or sick or something.
You were staring at your intertwined hands with your mouth agape. Jim lets go of your hand slowly, but your expression doesn’t change. Instead, you make a sound that Jim can only describe as a squeal. The rest of the party around you falls quiet, all looking towards you and Jim.
Jim looks at them all and by the time he looks back at you, you were several feet shorter as you were on one knee.
---
“There is no way that happened.” You interrupt Jim, shaking your head once again and gripping the pillow tight.
Jim can only laugh hard, clutching his stomach from under the blanket, where he had moved during the course of the story. “You got on one knee.”
“There’s no way.”
“You asked me to marry you.”
“I asked you to marry me?” You are beyond embarrassed at this point. You are flustered and irritated and you want to go back in time to when you thought you could drink whatever you wanted at an office party. You went from simply embarrassing yourself to possibly outing your stupid little crush on your coworker. You want to leave, you want to hope this was all a dream and you were going to wake up in your own bed, but you have to know one thing first. “…Was there more?”
Jim is quiet for only a minute and you know instantly that last night wasn’t over yet.
---
“Marry me.” Your words were a bit slurred and quiet, but Jim definitely heard them and most likely your entire office did as well.
His heart is racing and his head is pounding and he doesn’t know exactly what to do, but before he can think, his drunk brain was already pulling you off the floor. “What’s that, Y/N? You want me to get you home? Now? Well, if you say so!” Before any of his coworkers could say anything, Jim is leading you out the front door of the office and calling for a cab on the way down the elevator.
You are leaning against him the entire way down and he can’t resist enjoying the feeling of you practically hugging him as he wraps his arms around you, keeping you together as you wait patiently for the taxi.
When it’s finally here, you are practically asleep in Jim’s arms, mumbling something about not drinking so much next time and for the first time all night, Jim thinks you might actually be okay. That is until you start crying in the taxi over the ending of some movie you had watched the day prior that Jim really can’t understand the name of. The taxi pulls up to Jim’s apartment and he struggles to get you through the door and up the stairs, cursing the elevator for being broken.
You’re finally in Jim’s bed and Jim lets out a sigh of relief, happy that you were safe and taken care of. He drapes your shawl over his desk chair and takes one last look at you before he starts to turn off the light. Just as the light turns off, a loud thud comes from the other side of the room and he flips the switch back on to see you face down on the floor.
He frowns before gently helping you up and making sure you’re okay once more. He was about to get you back in bed before you were suddenly more alert, scaring him a bit.
“I’m hot!” you yell out and he jumps back, colliding his back against the wall from being startled. He isn’t sure how exactly to help you before you pull your shirt over your head, quickly leaving you in your bra and giving Jim no time to divert his eyes. Just as you did with your shirt, your pants were on the floor and Jim is standing in front of you, looking up at the ceiling and covering his eyes with his hands.
“And now you’re naked.” Jim mutters mostly to himself because he can’t believe that you’re here, in his room, standing in front of him, in only your bra and matching underwear which he only got a glimpse of before coming to his senses and covering his eyes. He doesn’t know what to do next. He knows you’re not going to put your clothes back on and he doesn’t really want to remove his hand and help you and violate your privacy in the process. There’s only one thing he thinks of that might just work.
Blindly, Jim heads over to his dresser, finally removing his hand to search through his clothes. “Here,” he says, turning blindly once more. “You can wear these.” He holds the t-shirt and shorts out to you and his arm remains out stretched for a bit before you slowly take the clothes from him. When the sound of you changing stops, Jim lowers his hand.
The shirt was baggy on you and the shorts were a bit longer than shorts should have been, but Jim thought you looked great in them because they were his. You were wearing his clothes.
He must have been staring for a bit too long because you reach up and gently poke his cheek, breaking the moment between you both. Jim is hopeful in your state that you don’t realize how red his cheeks were when you poked them. “Alright, lets get you to bed.” You nod, finally working with Jim to get you under his covers and snuggled in his pillows. He has to stop himself from reacting the way he did with his clothes once again. When your breathing slowed down, Jim finally steps away, and just like earlier, he turns off the light, thanking everything possible that there was no thud this time.
He was just about to close the door before hearing you say, “I want your babies, Jim” and he freezes in his tracks.
---
For the first time all morning, you don’t say anything when Jim stops talking, you can only sit there with your head buried in the pillow, silently praying that the bed would simply open up and take you whole. Jim has no idea what is running through your head at the moment, he can only assume a whole lot of embarrassment, but if he was truthful, he isn’t sure you really needed to be embarrassed. He actually enjoyed taking care of you last night. And he has definitely been enjoying this morning as well.
“It wasn’t that bad.” Jim tries to reassure you but you can only groan into the pillow, a sound that Jim thinks slowly is turning into a laugh.
“I am never drinking again.” You say to him.
“I promise, it wasn’t that bad.” Jim pulls the pillow from your face, unable to hold back the smile on his lips when he sees you.
You sigh, staring into his comforting eyes before rolling your eyes. “Yeah, says you. You’re not the one who completely embarrassed herself in front of her coworkers and her cru- and her friend.” Just like that, you’ve embarrassed yourself even further. Hopefully, Jim didn’t catch onto the slip of your tongue, but you know you don’t have good enough luck for that. The two of you are quiet for a moment. You’ve refused to look at Jim since your slip up, settling for keeping your eyes closed, which is honestly helping with your hangover headache, and Jim just looking at you. “It least there are no photos on Facebook of me doing the robot this time.” You joke, hoping to help the situation a bit better.
All your comment does is elicit a “What?” from Jim, followed by chuckles as he promises himself to find those photos later.
The two of you were quiet once again, sitting in comfort as you think over the events of last night. You can hear your heartbeat echoing in your ears and your headache is a second thought to the fact that Jim and you were in his bed together and just talking. In all your years of pining after your coworker, you’ve never in this position before, so close together, your bodies were only separated by the fear of wanting more.
“Thank you for taking care of me.” You whisper to Jim and his smile softens his face.
“I always will.” He assures you and your lips tug upwards. “Besides, like you said last night, you need me.”
Your lips instantly tug downwards. “No, I didn’t.” You would’ve remembered that part of the story.
Jim can only laugh, scootching closer to you in the bed on accident with the action. “I didn’t tell you about the cab ride?”
“That I was crying over a movie?”
“And?”
“… and that I said that I need you?”
“And?
“And? What else did I say?”
“Besides that you need me?”
“Never said that.”
Jim smirks. He doesn’t say anything.
He doesn’t say that you rambled off almost a hundred reasons why you were in love in him.
He doesn’t say that it took everything in him to just say you were drunk and didn’t mean any of it.
He doesn’t say that despite feeling drunk himself, he sobered up real fast when he heard those three simple words tumble out of your mouth the first time. And the second time. And the third, fourth, fifth, even what seemed like the 99th time. He just wishes he could hear them again, when the words were said by a sober you.
“Come on, tell me!” You interrupt his thoughts, pushing on his shoulder gently. “What did I say? It can’t be worse than anything else I said to you last night, and I still blame it entirely on the alcohol.” Your hand lingers on his arm, slowly falling closer to the bed where his own hand was laying. Jim can’t look anywhere but your face, but your eyes were studying the way his fingers were slowly covering across your own, something Jim wasn’t even aware he was doing. “Jim?”
He clear his throat, breaking out of the moment between the two of you, but he doesn’t release the hold on your hand, instead he shifts his hand so your fingers intertwine together. “Nothing.” Jim lies, hating the whisper in his voice.
You don’t believe him, but the way he’s looking at you makes you not question him further. Maybe you didn’t need to know everything about last night. Maybe it was all worth it to lead you and Jim to this moment, the two of you growing closer and closer in his bed until his arm is wrapping around your waist and Jim and your breathing has slowed to a sleeping rhythm.
Maybe this time it was better that you didn’t wake up in the morning and be in your own house.

embarrassingly gullible
in which Jim Halpert dares Eileen Hayward to prank Dwight Schrute, but will he fall for it?
"Uncle Dwight, it's me- Anna Schrute! It's been so long, maybe you can come over to Germany soon and we can have a harvest festival just like old times!"
"I don't know who you are, I don't know why you think this is funny, but there is no one directly related to me with the name Anna Schrute!"
"It's Anna Schrute, Uncle Dwight!"
"Leave me alone, I am completely opposed to harming women but I know karate and I wouldn't be afraid to make an example out of you."
Dwight was fuming from the office break room as he held his mobile close to his ear. His eyes frantically darting around the room to ensure nobody over heard the conversation.
"So you'll come over to Deutschland to make an example of me, Uncle Dwight? Das ist fantastisch! Auf Wiederhören Uncle Dwight!"
"I don't know how you got my number but leave me a-" The line went dead.
***
"I don't know why, and I don't know who, but someone has been calling me on my personal cellphone for the past month claiming to Anna Schrute. My brother has no clue as to who she is, but I' m starting to believe she is my niece... she knows a startling amount!" The camera crew, who had only been at the office for a few days stood behind the camera equipment as Dwight spoke, his mustard yellow top reflected in the view finder of the camera as he flattened down his hair.
"Dwight? Oh yeah he's embarrassingly gullible, I've been calling him directly to his personal phone for the past month telling him I'm his niece Anna Schrute," Eileen smirks as she looks at the camera "Jim bet me twenty bucks that he wouldn't fall for it, but I'm going to be twenty dollars richer soon."
***
Eileen hastily pocketed her phone as Dwight made his way back to his desk and pretends to have just gotten off a sales call as she picked up the receiver phone and put it down as soon as she was in Dwight line of vision. Her eyes met Jim's as his widened and his eyebrows raised as Dwight made himself comfortable in his seat once more.
"So, Dwight," Eileen started- picking at her nails, "what was that all about?"
"Oh just my niece calling from Germany."
***
"Ka-ching!" Eileen held up the twenty dollar bill to camera pulling at it lightly twice from both sides to accentuate that she won the bet. Her dimples were prominent as she grinned.
***
"Ahh, your niece you say? I wasn't aware you had a niece." Eileen raised her eyebrows as she spoke, turning to the side slightly to hide the smirk growing on her face.
"No, I wasn't either- but it truly is a blessing to know of another Schrute. It's good to know that the Schrute name is still being carried." Dwights eyes didn't leave his computer as he typed up an email, his glasses reflected the computer screen in front of him.
Eileen glanced over at Jim giving him a look that said 'this is funny but i feel bad'. The man struggled not to laugh at her cringing face and put a finger up to his lip to make her stay quiet.
"So Dwight, uh- what's her name?" The Halpert man had a dopey grin on his face as a laugh mixed with his words.
"I don't see how that is any of your business..." Dwight muttered as rearranged the papers on his desk, the pile making an obnoxious noise as he hit the stack on the table a paucity of times to make sure they were all in line with each other.
"Oh it really doesn't, I just wanted to take interest in one of my fellow salespersons lives..." He faux innocence as he busied himself with typing on his computer, scratching the back of his neck to add to his act.
"Her name is Anna Schrute, she speaks broken English, she is German, lives in Germany yet is confined to the time zones of Pennsylvania..." He pauses for a moment, before typing something into his computer.
His hand bangs onto the table as he pushes back from his desk and spins on his chair once. He stops and points at the woman in front of him, a glare besmirched on his face.
"You!," he pointed at her "It was you!"
"Huh, what?"
"You're Anna Schrute!"
"No, no- what?!"
"I knew I could hear typing in the background, she sounds exactly like you Eileen!"
"But Anna lives in Germany, was there any background noise- other than the typing?"
"There was traffic sounds- wait." Dwights eyebrows furrowed as he typed something into the computer.
A few silent moments later, everyone in the office can hear the sound of passing cars and the occasional German shout.
"Aw that's what Eileen listens to when she gets stressed," Phyllis began- pointing awkwardly at Dwights computer  "She's stressed quite a lot..."
Eileen sucks her bottom lip in, and clamps her top teeth over it. Pointing her head down, her fringe covers her face but Dwight can still make out her silent laughter through the shake in her shoulders.
"Michael. MICHAEL!," Dwight starts standing from his chair "She's done it again!"
Michael can be seen leaving his chair, pinching his forehead as he approached his office door.
Dwight grins, exposing his teeth, and turns back to Eileen.
"You're fired! You are so fired!"
Their boss gets a hold of the door and pulls it shut much to the amusement of Jim who lets out a quiet 'ha'. Michael then proceeded to shut all the blinds in his office and return back to his desk.

• In the beginning, the relationship is kept secret until Dwight finds out about it shortly after you and Michael inform David Wallace
• Not everyone in the office is approving, Kevin is always on the lookout to see if it’s true, sort of how he spied on Pam and Jim. Angela doesn’t approve, she likes to believe that your love is fake
• Most everyone in the office is approving, even in the warehouse below, they all approve and it’s most surprising to know that Roy is one of those that is more supportive than others
• You and Michael seem to have everything in common but you honestly don’t
• When you’re sick, Michael will make you take a sick day, even if you’ve taken them all up he will make you stay home and rest
• Being insulted by the fact Ryan invited you and not Michael to his weekend campout was easy for you turn him down and say you wouldn’t be going if Michael was not invited
• Seeing that Michael is still a little vulnerable to Jan, you have no problem sticking up for Michael whenever she tries to pull a fast one on him, trying to talk him into leaving you, you just weren’t having it
• When it happened one too many times, you let her have it and from that point on, she stays from you both
• You take things slow in the start of your relationship. By about a year into it, you move in together and two years after, you both are engaged
• If you have to work any late nights, Michael will stay with you. But as each person is leaving, he’s doing it more in a way as your boyfriend than he is your manager, and that is something kept between the two of you
• If someone disrespects you in anyway, especially in front of him, Michael will get upset and start defending you immediately, putting that person in their place
• Michael is your comforter during panic attacks and surprisingly, so is Dwight at times if he’s there as well
• Sometimes he likes to leave little gifts on your desk before you arrive. It could be anything from your favorite chips, soda, to your favorite candy with a little note attached to it
• When you had gotten the iPod during secret Santa, you knew immediately it was from Michael and had sort of the same reaction as Ryan did in that episode, only you were more gentle about it
• It wasn’t like you didn’t appreciate it because you did, to you, it was always the thought that counted but truth be told, you were a little embarrassed this happened in front of everyone
• You both LOVED pretzel day, Michael would always wait in line for you both and would brings yours back when he returns because you were often busy with some work
• When you meet Michael, he was with Carol at the time, and because you weren’t there when she rejected his proposal, you comforted him as he told you about it
• This all happened before you got together, so when she refused while breaking up with him, you agreed to go to Jamaica with him, and that’s where things begin for you both
• Michael becomes overly protective of you after Roy’s attempt to attack Jim, so he bans Roy from the building unless escorted by Hank. Your safety to Michael has always been his top priority.
• Michael loves to brag about you and to show you off when given the open opportunity
• Threat Level Midnight was a blast to film
• Michael just loved you to pieces as you did for him

“You’ve always felt like home.”
***
Out of all the people you work with in the office, you have made friendships with them but the only person you seemed to have the most in common with was David Wallace, although David was in New York most of the time.
The best way to have describe this relationship you shared was almost an identical one to Pam and Jim’s from the start, before they eventually got married. You had to admit, in the beginning you weren’t too sure of David but the more you got to know him, the more you took a quite a liking to him as he did towards you as well. One of the very first things David learns of you is the fact that you don’t have a very kind past from your childhood and teenage years and when you told him, you warned David beforehand that there wasn’t going to be anything nice to what he was about to hear.
Before telling David personal details of your life, the only nerve that was tugging at you was the fact on how he might judge you for what you were about to tell him, but to your delight, David put in no judgment at all and accepted you without question. While it seemed opening up to David about these things happened just yesterday, two years had already past since than and your relationship had turned into something much more serious. Just like how it was for Jim and Pam, your relationship was made pretty obvious to everyone in the office as they would often comment on it. Anytime that happened, your face would go red and would shy away from the subject. As of now, you have taken the next step in the relationship by accepting David’s proposal to move in with him, and by now, your relationship had been made official and is now out in the open.
Three months go by since the move in, and you’re now engaged. You were living the happiest times of your life now, and you wouldn’t change it for the world. Of course just as everyone else, you had a family and you had a roof over your head in your younger years, but you didn’t feel more at home than you did whenever you were with David.
“You’ve always felt like home.” you’d say, and made sure it was said when exchanging marriage vows.

Pam Beesly showing affection
Tumblr media
A/N: I know pretty much nobody writes for the office and probably nobody cares but I just love Pam so much so I wrote this and I'm gonna put it out there anyway even if nobody is gonna read it because why frigging not
Warnings: one use of y/n, fluffy cuteness overload
Pam isn't overally affectionate when you're at work, but that doesn't mean she doesn't love you
She just prefers to be more private with her affection, especially since Michael always makes some sort of inappropriate comment whenever the two of you show PDA
She always tries to catch a kiss or two from you whenever you think you're alone (the people working the cameras often happen to film these moments unbeknownst to the two of you)
If no one else is in the break room, she'll sit on your lap while you eat lunch
You always tease her whenever you accidentally get crumbs in her hair
She likes to write you little notes during the day, dropping them off by your desk whenever she gets up to refill her cup of coffee or go to the bathroom
If your desk is within her viewpoint, she'll make doodles of you while you work, putting little speech bubbles over your head by what she assumes you're thinking
Linking pinkies/holding hands whenever you walk into work together
Sometimes she'll send you an email titled "Very Important, Read ASAP" only for you to open it and find it says "I love you <3"
If you're in the kitchen or break room getting a cup of coffee she'll come up behind you and give you a hug while resting her chin on your shoulder
Whenever you have a meeting in the conference room she always sits next to you and might even hold your hand if no one's looking
Likewise, if the meeting's a particularly boring one she'll doodle on your hand with a pen, drawing little hearts and writing things like "Pam + Y/n"
It's just the little things that show you she cares <3

Namorando Ryan Howard - Ryan x Header/Leitora
Tumblr media
Parte 1
O pedido
Não houve um pedido formal, ele apenas deduziu que vocês estavam juntos para valer;
Ele não quer informar o RH, mas obviamente todos já estão sabendo pela maneira como vocês se beijam furtivamente na sala de descanso quando pensam que ninguém está olhando;
Você diz: "Não sei do que você está falando, não estou vendo uma aliança no meu dedo" quando ele te chama de "minha gatinha";
Ele dá o braço a torcer e compra um anel simples, nada chamativo, porém bonito, e pergunta se você gostaria de ser a gatinha dele.
Um mês de namoro
Você dorme na casa dele vários dias na semana e ele quer te dar carona todos os dias;
Vocês comemoram o primeiro mês em um bar, mas ele não se lembra de te levar um presente;
Vocês passam muito tempo simplesmente dividindo fones ou ouvindo música juntos;
Ele não é muito de abraços, mas não consegue deixar de te abraçar quando te vê sorrir para ele do outro lado do anexo;
Ele te dá beijos na testa quando vocês precisam se despedir por algum tempo;
Ryan não gosta de ligações, mas liga para dizer boa noite quando vocês não dormem juntos;
Ele escreveu uma poesia para você no final do primeiro mês, mas ficou envergonhado de te mostrar, então guardou na gaveta de suas coisas pessoais.
Dia dos namorados
Ele quer fazer algo diferente, então vocês botam o pé na estrada e vão para outra cidade;
Vocês passam a viagem cantando alto as suas músicas favoritas, e ele ri de todas as suas piadas;
Vocês param em uma cafeteria confortável e bonitinha no meio da caminho e ele tira uma foto sua sorrindo apaixonada, e fica ainda mais apaixonado por você;
Ele não é muito de demonstrações públicas, mas posta fotos que tirou de você distraída durante a viagem em seu facebook com a legenda "my girl <3";
Vocês voltam para Scranton tarde da noite e ele está cansado, então você se oferece para dirigir enquanto ele dorme, e ele aceita;
Você o acorda ao chegar ao apartamento dele, mas Ryan resmunga um "eu te amo" enquanto está sonhando, e você fica toda boba porque foi a primeira vez que ele te disse isso e foi acidental.
Dias perfeitos
Vocês são um casal jovem e gostam de sair bastante para lugares bonitos, Ryan está sempre lotando a memória de sua câmera com fotos suas;
Ele te leva café na sua mesa do trabalho mesmo que você não peça por isso;
Ele gosta de dormir longe, mas todas as vezes durante a madrugada acaba te abraçando enquanto dorme porque se sente protegido inconscientemente;
Você adora vestir as camisetas dele, e todas tem cheiro de canela, menta e nicotina;
Ryan finalmente resolve ler uma de suas poesias para você, mas fica tímido e extremamente inseguro com o que você está achando.
A poesia de Ryan
"Então... é isso aqui que eu sinto por você, mais ou menos";
Você acaba chorando, e ele recebe isso como um elogio e te beija por entre as lágrimas;
A poesia descrevia perfeitamente o que você sentia por ele também, e como não consegue expressar de outra maneira, você acaba dizendo "eu te amo";
Ryan te corresponde com um beijo caloroso e faz com que você deite no peito dele enquanto faz carinho em você;
"Eu sei que você me ama. Eu te amo também, aliás";
Apesar de dizer isso, ele tinha algumas dúvidas se você sentia o mesmo que ele;
Ao saber que estão na mesma sintonia, ele finalmente se sente seguro para se entregar totalmente a você, e agradece internamente porque o relacionamento de vocês é perfeito;
Ele faz você dormir com o carinho e te observa enquanto Radiohead toca ao fundo.

GAYS IN THE CONFERENCE ROOM - THE OFFICE
The Scranton branch has officially absorbed the Stamford branch, and as a show of good faith, Michael calls everyone into the conference room to explain why [Oscar] being gay is okay.
WC: 734 words
Song Inspo: I Can See You
Tumblr media
The staff were sitting in the conference room. A beige table was set up in the center with tan chairs inside it and around it by the three, beige walls. The fourth wall had a whiteboard, inches apart from the open door. The gray carpet was well-vacuumed and the white window shades were shut. Self-explanatory, the room made for an exciting meeting.
"Oscar is a good person." Michael spoke as he paced in front of the whiteboard. "You know, it should've matter if he's gaaayy or normal," Jim side-eyed the camera, "he's a human being, man. I...," Michael sighed and grabbed his hips, "I just don't understand how people could be so hateful."
"Michael," Kevin's deep voice rose from somewhere behind Karen. "We don't hate Oscar because he's gay... At least, not all of us." The large man mischievously glanced at Angela.
"Hmph." Angela crossed her arms, Bible in hand. "I don't support that lifestyle. It's impure, ungodly, unsanitary..."
"Unprotected- that's what he said!" Michael chuckled then caught himself. "No. No! I meant that as in unprotected because they are unprotected in this country. So anything you took from that is anti-gay. Case closed."
Dwight nodded along and took notes. Andy stroked his protruded chin and squinted with pretend intrigue. Stanley did his crossword puzzles in the far-left corner. Meredith's mouth hung agape and her eyes were red, clear signs of early intoxication. Pam looked uncomfortable between Karen and Jim but said nothing. Jim condescendingly smiled and did routine stares at the camera. Erin sat closest to Michael and the door, in clear view of Karen. While Michael went back-and-forth with Angela, Karen watched Erin doodle in her notepad. Fillipeli's cheek found her shoulder and her eyes found a tranquil lowness. Amongst all the speel and chaos, nothing seemed to matter then.
"-I refuse to give my American right to practice religion. Seriously. Whatever happened to freedom of speech? My first amendmant right-"
"Second." Dwight coughed.
Angela eyed him then returned to Michael. "If you can't afford me that right, I'll just have to pray for you." She smirked and patted her Bible.
Phyllis looked at her with terror and sadness, having the displeasure of sitting right next to the blonde woman.
"Can I ask," Karen turned around to her, "what type of Christian are you?"
"Excuse me?" Angela raised a brow.
"Catholic? Mormon? Jehovah witness? Baptist? Born-again?" Karen listed off the sects.
"I'm a devote Christian, old testament." She specified, enunciating the last part. She looked around the room with a finger up, as if expecting someone to oppose her.
"I grew up Catholic. Read the Bible every Christmas."
Angela smiled a bit, then cleared her throat, lifted her chin, looked at the floor, and raised a brow. "Favorite passage?"
"Easily Psalms 139:7." Karen scoffed. "Arguably the best passage, aside from Leviticus and Luke, of course."
Angela pouted a smile, almost holding back delight and disdain for not needing to correct Karen.
"Wow, Karen, I never pegged you for a Bible thumper." Kelly stated what the room was thinking.
"That's because sinful women like you wouldn't know a real holy woman from your left elbow, Kelly." Angela spat at her, making the Indian woman gasp.
"Ryan!" Kelly called for her boyfriend's aid, but he just shrugged.
"Invite Oscar back if you want. Invite the AID's epidemic right along with him. I don't care anymore." Angela shrugged. "As long as I have this," she held up her Bible, "and my undeniable faith, I'm safe."
"From gay people?" Jim replied. "You think the book wards off gay people?"
"I do." Angela said matter-of-factly.
"What'll happen if I say I'm gay and I touch it?" Kevin asked on top of his question. "I'm not." He addressed the room. "But it'd be funny if I was, right?" He laughed throatily.
"You'd burst into flames." Dwight answered.
"Not accurate." Andy counteracted.
"Oh, how do you know, Cornell?" Dwight looked him up and down.
"Can I see it?" Karen cut him off. "It's been so long since I've held one that wasn't mine."
"Sure, Karen. I trust my fellow God warriors." Angela sneered at Jim as she outreached her black little book to Karen. Granted, this was Angela, so she never let go, but Karen did stroke it's cover.
"Whoa. Leather. Very nice." Karen complimented her.
The scene cut to Karen's interview.
"I'm also a lesbian."

And… send.
You smile to yourself as you watch your email go through, the last little bit of work you had to do before the day was over and it was only barely noon. The rest of the work could be done Monday which means it was the perfect relax day… it also means your job is pretty sad when you can blow off full days of work but at the moment you didn’t care.
You push yourself out from your desk, spinning your chair around and quickly catching the eye of your boyfriend seated just to your right. Jim smiles behind his palm, watching you grab your coffee mug and stand. His eyes remain locked with yours as you move around him, and he tips his head back right in time for you to dip yours to kiss him. Your noses bump as you pull away with a silent giggle as not to disturb anyone who is actually working. Before you can leave, Jim hands you his coffee cup with a pleasing look and you roll your eyes before taking it.
Jim watches as you head to the kitchen, never letting his smile fade. You set the mugs on the counter, start the coffee and then turn to head to the restroom. The moment you were out of Jim’s sight, he leaps out of his chair and over to Pam’s desk.
Pam was just finishing an email of her own when Jim arrives, pushing a small velvet box behind her nameplate and glancing quickly around the room to make sure no one is looking. When she’s ready to talk to him, Jim opens the box before she can speak. She’s stunned as she stares at the beautiful engagement ring sitting inside.
Jim takes her shocked expression with a little bit of worry as he leans on her desk, hiding his fear behind his smile. “Wow, Jim,” Pam finally says as he glances to make sure the coast is clear and you were still in the restroom, “I mean, I’m honored but you do know I have a fiancé and you have a girlfriend, right?” Pam jokes,
Jim rolls his eyes. “Haha.” He fake laughs before focusing on the ring. “But seriously, what do you think?”
Pam can’t hide her smile any longer. “She’s gonna love it.”
“Yeah?”
“Yes!” She says a little louder than she or Jim wanted, but both were too excited to care. “Are you kidding me? This is going to look so beautiful on her finger. Have you thought about how you’re going to do it?”
He thought a lot about it. A lot. “Well, I was thinking about-“
“You’re proposing to Pam?” Kevin’s voice surprises everyone in the office as the man stands next to copier and Oscar, his mouth hanging open in shock and his previous conversation with Oscar having dropped.
As soon as Kevin’s words reach the ears of the rest of the office, work falls to the back of their minds. Kelly is the loudest, squealing as she drags Ryan away from his desk to look at the ring and Ryan has no choice but to follow. Meredith is right behind them with a low “nice” as she claps and by the time the three of them arrive at Pam’s desk, Phyllis is there too and Creed lurks in the back, much like Angela was doing over the partition between Reception and Accounting. All of them beg Jim to let them see the ring.
Jim is struggling to see over the masses as he worriedly watches the door to the kitchen to see if you left the bathroom. “No!” He tells them all, whispering and yet yelling as best as he could. “I’m not proposing to Pam, I’m proposing to Y/N.”
Bouts of ‘oh’s and ‘that makes sense’ come from each of his coworkers as Jim breathes out in relief. He looks to Pam who is shaking her head in apology to Jim and he returns the gesture.
To make Jim’s predicament worse, Michael steps out of his office. “What is going on here?” He puts his hands on his hips, glancing between his workers and yet focusing on Jim, whose back was still turned and, although he couldn’t see, face was scrunched up.
Creed spoke up first. “The tall guy got engaged.”
Michael takes a harsh breath. “To be married?”
Jim turns around, eyes wide. “No!” He says, making Michael’s brows furrow. “I mean, yes, but not yet- I haven’t, um…” He looks back to the door, knowing you should walk out any second. Michael hadn’t said anything yet, only staring at Jim and the ring in his hand. Jim was growing more anxious with each passing moment of silent.
Phyllis reaches out and places her hand gently on Jim’s back. “She’s going to love it.” Jim relaxes at Phyllis’ reassurance.
“Thank you, Phyllis,” He tells her with a small smile before clearing his throat and closing the ring box, slipping it into his back pocket, “now if everyone can do me a favor and keep their voices down, I’d appreciate it.”
Everyone listens to him, saying their final congrats and walks away, talking quietly about weddings and marriage and Jim hopes the conversation stops when you come around. Looking back at Michael, Jim stares back at him with a flat smile, waiting for his boss to do something but Michael just stands there. It isn’t until the doors to the kitchen open up and you walk out with two freshly made cups of coffee does Michael finally look away from Jim and towards you. Jim doesn’t realize what Michael is doing until he takes his first few steps.
“Michael!” Jim calls out and it catches your attention as you look up from your careful coffee walk to see your boss walking your way with almost wet eyes and a budding smile. His arms are around you quickly, making you stumble back a few steps with wide eyes. The coffee in Jim and your cups spill out a little, burning your hands as you hiss. Jim wasn’t long behind Michael and he grabs the cups from your hands and wipes as much of the coffee off your hands with his own.
You appreciate Jim’s actions, but your boss still clinging onto you confuses you more than anything. No one says anything, in fact, the entire office is watching, each with conflicting faces on whether they should help. You look between Jim’s slightly irritated face he is directing at Michael over to Pam who is sitting behind her desk with her face buried in her hands as she shakes her head. Nothing made any sense to you at the moment.
“I was gone for 5 minutes.” Michael doesn’t release you from his hold until you tap his shoulder. “Michael? Could you um, could you let me go?” He doesn’t. “Michael.”
“I’m sorry.” He sounds like he was crying. “I’m sorry!” He finally pulls away and you learn he is actually crying. “I’m just really excited!”
“For… what?” You weren’t really sure whether you wanted to know.
Michael was about to speak again before Jim claps him over the shoulders and pulls him away from him. “Michael was just telling us about his plans for the weekend.”
Michael nods, going along with Jim’s idea. “Yup!” He cheers. “I’ve got a date.” You raise your brows, not knowing what else to say. “A hot date. Super-hot. She’s super hot. Think Jan and then about a million times ho- A million times hotter-”
“Okay, Michael?” Jim interrupts, knowing Michael was going to ramble a bit more if he didn’t stop him. Michael does thankfully stop, clasping his mouth shut. “We’re going to get back to work.” Jim points over his shoulders towards the two of your desks. Michael lets you go, but not without a quick last hug to you and a slightly longer hug to Jim before he’s heading back into his office.
You meet Jim’s eyes with a curious smile, wondering what the hell the last few minutes were but Jim only smiles at you and glances down to your hands. “How’s your hands?” He mumbles, stepping a little closer and taking your hands in his. They had a slight burn to them from your coffee spill, but other than that, you were fine.
“They’ll be better once you tell me what was just happening.” Jim chuckles lightly before swinging one of his arms, with your hand still in his, over your shoulder to walk you back to your desk without an answer to your question. He pulls out your chair for you as you fall into it and once Jim is back in his desk, he throws a wink your way that makes your cheeks heat up before you finally get back to work, completely aware of the several glances Jim was throwing your way and yet, completely unaware of the glances from everyone else in the office.
---
“Tuna!” Jim’s eyes widen as he steps out of the bathroom to the sound of Andy calling him with an ear-to-ear grin. Andy was sitting at the table with Kevin, both of them sipping on their respective drinks as Andy starts singing, “Tuna. Tuuuna! Tuna, Tuna, Tuna, Tuuuunnaaaaa! Tu-“
“What is it, Andy?” Jim says louder than Andy’s singing as the man finally stops but his grin never falls.
“So, how are you going to propose to Lady Tuna?”
Jim opens the fridge as his face scrunches at Andy’s nickname for you. “Firstly, don’t call her that. And I don’t really know, I haven’t put much thought into it.” He has, but Andy and Kevin don’t really need to know that.
Andy chokes on his drink. “You haven’t thought about it?” He states loudly, slamming his cup back down on the table. “You haven’t thought about it?!” Wincing at his volume, Jim puts his finger to his lips, ushering his coworker to keep his voice down.
“But you really haven’t thought about it?” Kevin joins in the conversation. “I mean, you know you should have a plan before you propose, right?”
Jim shakes his head in resignation. “Yes, I do, Kev.” He closes the fridge without grabbing anything and throws a glance back out to the bullpen to see you sitting at your desk tapping away at your computer with what he can only describe as the cutest bored look on your face.
“Nervous about what she would say?” Andy watches Jim’s expressions closely before Jim pauses and slides into the seat.
“I know she’ll say yes, but it’s just-” Jim begins, tapping his fingers gently against the table. Realizing he has no idea what he was going to say next, he jumps out of his seat, rubbing a hand over his face as he starts to pace. “You know what, never mind, because there is no ‘but’ because she’s going to say yes.” He stops his pacing, looking back at you at your desk. She’s going to say yes, right? He thinks to himself.
Andy and Kevin move to stand behind him and they both put one of their hands on both of Jim’s shoulders. “She’s going to say yes.” Kevin tells him and Jim slowly smiles at his friends hyping him up.
You close out of the website on your computer as you sigh and look over to your boyfriend’s empty desk. Knowing he was in the bathroom, your eyes fluttered up briefly to the kitchen before they fall back down onto your computer. They don’t stay there long, however, because you realize as you had looked up, Jim, Andy, and Kevin were all staring at you. You look back up again, staring at the trio as Kevin and Andy scurry back to their seats, leaving only Jim still staring at you with one of the happiest smiles you’ve seen him wear in the office before.
---
There was still a half an hour left on the clock by the time you were finished packing up and you perch yourself on Jim’s desk as he finishes up a phone call to one of his clients. When he finishes, he hangs up the phone before standing up and situating himself between your legs. “Hey, you.” He whispers as he leans in for a kiss.
“Hi.” You say back before melting against his lips. When you separate, you tug on his tie a little, keeping him as close to you as you can.
Jim looks at your bag hidden in your seat as he chuckles lightly. “You’re packed up early.”
You hum, letting your head fall with a smile. “Yeah, I was hoping we might be able to get out of here early today.” Jim chuckles again, taking your hand in his as he plays gently with them. You let him do so for a moment before taking a deep breath. “So,” you begin, and Jim meets your eyes, waiting for you to continue your thought, “Are you going to tell me why you and everyone in this office has been acting really weird today?”
Jim furrows his brows, scratching his head in an act. “Have I- Have people been acting weird?” He throws annoyed glances around the room as you hum.
“Yeah. You know, Michael has been looking at me a lot through his window shades- actually, he’s doing it right now.” Jim turns around to see Michael standing against his window and doing exactly as you described, staring at the two of you intensely. As soon as Jim looks at him, he lets go of his shades, hiding his presence, but it wasn’t hard to tell he was still there. “Kelly also has been talking non-stop about how good of a couple we are and how she’s excited for our future- which was then followed by Ryan hitting on me and saying ‘it’s not too late?’”, Jim nods, trying to keep his anger at his coworker hidden but he makes a mental note to kill Ryan later. You shake your head, entertained by Ryan thinking you would ever break up with Jim for him.
“Well,” Jim steps out from in front of you, moving to grab his own bag and sling it over his shoulder before grabbing yours and putting it over his, “shall we?” He reaches his hand out for you. You furrow your brows and look at your watch.
“We still have 28 more minutes?”
Jim just chuckles and pulls you off his desk, trying hard not to smile. He doesn’t say anything until he’s knocking on Michael’s door and pulling it open. “Michael?” He calls out and your boss picks his head up, his eyes widening when he sees the two of you. “We’re heading out.”
Michael claps, rising from his desk, which only confuses you more. “Let me get a look at you two.” Jim moves out of the doorway just barely as Michael looks you both over, and then once again, his eyes starts to water. He pushes past you both gently. “Everyone?” He calls out and you look to Jim who just stands there with a smile. “I want you all to take a good long look at these two beautiful sexy people-“
“Michael.” Jim sighs and Michael holds his hand up, telling Jim he knows it was wrong to say it.
“These two beautiful people in love and who’s facing the future like a train and they’re- and they’re standing on the tracks... of love and... um....” Michael pauses, looking at you and Jim as he tries to figure out what to say next.
“You done?” Jim asks and Michael nods. Jim claps him on the back before waving at the rest of the office. “Bye guys, see you Monday.” Everyone says goodbye back and he takes your hand, leading you out of the office and towards the elevator, but not without a smirk and a wink from Pam along the way.
“Jim, seriously,” You chuckle, bumping him in the arm with yours, “What was happening? What was wrong with everyone today?”
The elevator opens and Jim leads you inside. Before you can hit the button for the ground floor, Jim beats you to it, only he presses the button for the roof instead. He doesn’t look at you, instead he stares at the doors leading up to the roof, the exact place he, Pam, and everyone else who could spare their time spent their day. Everything was perfect, from the fairy lights fighting the darkening sky to light up with roof to the little sketches of you and Jim falling in love scattered all around that Pam had spent the day drawing.
The only thing left was for you to say yes.

I just wanna say bc I KNOW you're somewhere on tumblr, to the teenage girl who attended Take Your Kid To Work Day at an office building in Ontario, Canada circa 2013 and had a conversation with a middle aged woman in which you showed her your Black Veil Brides fanart and fanfics and ship content and told her about different fanfic tropes including a/b/o verse bc she happened to know who Panic! at The Disco and Fallout Boy were and thus you felt the need to show her your bandblr ship art, that was my fucking mother and I had to clarify all that to her including looking my mother in the eye and trying to explain a/b/o verse without sounding like a lunatic.
It's been 10 years and I still regularly sent evil energies in your direction. Since you'd be probably two years younger than me and thus legally an adult now, please know if this post reaches you it's on sight.

Michael’s date
Tumblr media
Pairing: Michael Scott x reader
Warnings: None
Requested by: @johnnysmarr
Plot: Ohayo! 😊 could I request something for Michael Scott? A scene where it's their first date together and the reader is really shy but Michael makes her feel comfortable as possible? Thank you 🩷
***
You had been working for Dunder Mifflin for about a good four years now, and since Pam started at about the same time, you both became instant friends.
Seeing that as it be with Pam being your closest friend and all, you were discovering new feelings for your manager, Michael Scott and those feelings grow stronger every day, so much that you are uncertain on how much longer you could hold your secret crush in. You didn’t even want to say a word of this to Pam, despite of her being your closest friend. In all honestly, you weren’t quite sure how to approach and take a look at those feelings in your head.
The very day Michael had asked you for a date, you hoped for that first first date experience in the past could finally be left behind. It was one of those where your date “forgets” his wallet and you ended up having to use almost your full paychecks for whatever activity you chose to go do. You wanted to shake it out of your head, but of course it was impossible… for now at least. There were plenty of fish in the sea, and everyone had to do the waiting until the right one for them swims by for you to catch.
So when it came time for you date with Michael Scott, who by the way, asked you out two years after you started working for the company, it was pretty obvious that you were a little shy once Michael swings by to pick you up for your date night. But a hint of confidence started brewing within you when Michael doesn’t just show up by himself, but with a bouquet of your favorite colored roses. The next thing that helped you to become less shy was when he offered his arm out for you to take before walking you out to his car parked next to the curb. It was as if he had a sixth sense that allowed for him to read your emotions and to know how you must be feeling, while driving to the restaurant were reservations had been made, Michael started asking you the getting to know you questions in addition outside of the office.
While doing so, one of the first questions he asks you is what kind of music genre you preferred and when you told him rock, hard rock, punk rock, and alternative, he turns the radio on to the rock station and the first song you both get to hear is The Offspring’s “Self Esteem” and before you know it, you’re both singing along to it, although Michael does find it a tad bit obnoxious.
“The more you suffer, the more it shows you really care. Right? Yeah!”
Your date with Michael was actually the first date you’ve ever been on, and all you could say it gave you the time of your life as it seemed to end rather too quickly.
There was definitely a connection between you and Michael, as for the next day while working in the warehouse department, Michael had come down not to just visit you, but to also hide from his boss, Jan. But when he gets to where you are, he sees Roy hitting on you once again while making yet another attempt to ask you out. Michael steps into your defense and suspended Roy from his job and paycheck before calling Hank to come and escort Roy to his car while staying behind to make sure Roy was off company property. After having made sure you were okay, Michael decides to take you back upstairs to the office and that’s exactly where Jan was waiting with her arms crossed and an agitated expression before Michael explained what happened just minutes before returning.
Jan takes it to David Wallace and speaks to him about it, along with Toby. The result of this happening was corporate fired Roy and refused him his last paycheck. When the end of the work day comes up close, Michael called you back to his small office space and asks you out for a second date. Of course, you accept and a fun night exploring New York in the cold weather together.
After several more dates together, you both made your relationship official not to just family and friends outside of work, but eventually to everyone you worked with in the office.
They all now know.
The relationship lasted two years until Michael decides it’s time to get you a ring, he felt the timing was right and he was ready to pop the question and make big comments with you, and it was truly a happy ending.
You said “Yes” to his proposal.

For as long as you can remember, you’ve always been the one who had been the most hurt by those who thought you could call your “friends.”
One of the things that has attracted you to David Wallace is the fact that he was a good listener to anyone who needed an ear to trust. Though he hasn’t listen to you yet, he was more than willing to. Seemingly more than willing to do it and when he took notice in how you seem down one day, that was when he decided he was going to walk up and talk to you.
David stopped halfway, his tongue had gone dry as he couldn’t form the words he wanted to say to you. He always chooses his words wisely when it comes to talking to someone, but now he realizes it’s when he’s about to walk up and talk to you. Finally, something in mind had come up and he started to speak, but he spoke in a soft voice that you almost missed it. It was surprising to say the least, it spooked you as were deep in thought and you never get spooked, that wasn’t like you at all.
“What’s on your mind?” he asks softly, causing you to jump.
You deny the fact there was anything wrong at all.. well, at first.
As eerie as this may sound, David Wallace had been noticing you better than noticing anyone else in the office. David didn’t mean to do it, he was just so taken by your beauty that he couldn’t help but to keep an eye on you. Before you could speak to even try to deny things, David noticed as he looked closer that you seemed to be short of breath and and sweating as if you had just come back from running a marathon. Seeing you in this condition is where his concern for you grew even more than it already had. You said nothing as David takes the empty spot next to you as he asked you again, a bit differently this time.
“What’s happened? Did something happen?”
You don’t respond at first, but than decide it was best to be honest with him and so you told David why you were looking so upset and how your day had been going so far. You didn’t want to get anyone in trouble, but you felt you had no choice this time and called that person out to David as you begin explaining.
David wasn’t too pleased to say the least after hearing your story and he wanted to get to the bottom of it.
“You know that weight loss competition we’re doing?”
David nods as you continue.
“Well, Dwight thought it would be funny to trick me into thinking I’m helping him out with a new client and what does he do? Well he drops me off at an abandoned warehouse in a bad part of town and left with my purse as well as my phone.”
“Are you serious?”
“Yes.. but don’t worry! I’m okay, I wasn’t before but now I am.”
David sighed.
“Stop pretending you’re okay, because I know you’re not.”
“I’m not pretending-“
“Yes you are!”
Before you could say another word, David storms away and you know exactly where he’s headed.
So you follow him.
Once you got to the office, David walks up to Dwight and interrupts his phone call. Dwight immediately gets defensive and even more so when David confronts him of what he did to you.
“Let’s make this the last time I hear of this!”
“Oh come on..”
“You left her in a bad part of town, Dwight!”
“So? I took her purse what’s the big deal?”
“It is a big deal, Dwight!”
“She burned calories walking back here-“
“That’s not how healthy weight loss workout!”
David had to pull himself out of there as he was close to losing it, you followed. Once he had calmed down enough after the events of defend/protecting you, he turns towards you and says only one thing.
“You don’t deserve to be treated that way. You deserve so much better, (Y/n).”

Thinking about Grian switching between his "work" skin and "fishing" skin. Cause he has magnificent facial hair on his fishing skin and none on his work skin.
So either... Grian has fake facial hair he wears just for fishing, OR the much funnier option, he shaves for his job at the Permit Office, and then when he leaves, concentrates really hard and it grows back immediatly. He learned this skill from Mumbo.
