2020 ep 25-26 The8 and the Shadows - Minghao wanted to be the leader for a day and the GoSe team gave him what he wanted... kinda lol. Favorite moments include the impromptu "We Will Rock You", DK's sogo dance, Jeonghan casually throwing water at Shua, and Shua getting everyone to imitate the voodoo doll he threw on the floor multiple times.

2020 ep 33 Mousebusters - Not so much for the actual Mousebusters part but the orange and grape games they did after. Seventeen takes games EXTREMELY SERIOUSLY.

2020 ep 40-41 Don't Lie II - Hoshi absolutely slayed this season of Don't Lie and he knows it. There's something so satisfying about seeing his chaotic thought process pan out to actually be correct.

2020 ep 44-45 TTT - I enjoy all of the TTTs but the focus on "hyperrealism" made this one even better because it seemed like the members were simultaneously more and less aware of the cameras and making content for the show. It had all of our favorite SVT pastimes - eating and drinking, badly played sports, games they've played a thousand times, and overly-enthusiastic karaoke.

2020 ep 46 Going Magazine - Minghao styled Hoshi sooooo well for the shoot, holy crap. Praise the denim crop top. And Mingyu was carrying this whole project so hard, this is when I first started to appreciate how hardworking and talented he is in other artistic ventures outside of just performing.

2021 ep 11 Ad Genius - Honestly too many meme-worthy moments to count, but my top are: Shua putting Shin Ramen in his hair, Jeonghan putting gochujang on his eyebrows, and Coups proposing to Dino with all kinds of products while Hoshi sings 2AM's "This Song" in the background.

2021 ep 24 Tribal Games - The Whispering in Silence game is probably my most rewatched Seventeen clip ever. Hoshi "epik"-ly screwing everything up makes me laugh every time.

2022 ep 37 How to Eat Rice - We must pay our respects to two members who threw away their idol image for this episode: 1) DK, the hungry rice monster, and 2) Shua, who poured a bucket of ice water over himself to prove that ramen tastes the best when you're cold. Double respects to Shua because he didn't even win after all of that lol.

2022 ep 50 GOING Radio Show - Dino going "look at my fit!" while Vernon is fighting for his life keeping his laughter in is one of the first clips I ever saw of Seventeen and it's still hilarious. The whole corner with Jeonghan and Dino learning English from Shua and Vernon was peak comedy.

Anyway, the two episodes that have been released so far have been really enjoyable! Lots of pun humor, member banter, and a surprise twist! I'm looking forward to Wednesdays now~

Rating Brazilian characters in foreign media (updated)

Jenny Kord (Blue Beetle)

Where do I start? Bruna Marquezine on her first Hollywood movie, playing a wonderful, brilliant important character in a DC movie. 10/10. I loved every second of Blue Beetle, I don’t care what anyone says, Jenny owns me. She spoke 3 words total in Portuguese and I was ready to give up my firstborn for her.

Iván Carvalho (Elite)

The whole “I’m in love with this guy who’s fucking my dad while I’m fucking his sister” thing? That could be the plot of a Brazilian soap opera any day, so 8/10 just for the pure chaos of that. I know it’s messy af, but it’s refreshing to see Brazilians that are not trafficking drugs or being thugs, so I’ll gladly welcome the chaos.

Also, I love how the show included the conversations in Portuguese between him and his dad. It makes no sense for two characters who are fluent in a language not to speak it with each other when they are alone or emotional, especially if they’re family.

Emilia Alo

I have been obsessed with Gigi for years now and she’s very talented, so I of course love Emilia. It’s great to hear her saying Portuguese words during her dialogues and singing Brazilian songs. I do wish the show gave her more screen time though, so I’m giving this a 8/10

Also, it’s amazing to see a Brazilian character that’s bisexual and an artist in a mainstream Netflix show!

Marlon Sousa (Surviving Summer)

I know nobody watches this show but it was a really good surprise, similar to Ivan’s case, it has dialogues in Portuguese between Marlon and his mom, which is always great to see! It even has a scene where the character briefly talks about how hard it was to adapt to a new country and language and how important surf was to him in that process, overall 8/10

Roberto da Costa/Sunspot (The new mutants)

Burn it. Burn the whole thing down. Shamelessly white washing one of the few Brazilian superheroes (are we even surprised though, coming from Marvel?) was ridiculous. What the hell were they thinking, -100000/10

Vanessa (Taxi)

Look, is this movie good, objectively speaking? No.

Was this character a robber and a criminal - very stereotypically so? Yes.

Was Gisele Bündchen drop dead gorgeous in this and my gay awakening? Also yes.

So I’ll give her 7/10 for this sole reason

Paolo Montes (Trials of Apollo)

Look he is a very minor character with barely any lines and quite stereotypical features. That being said, he’s quite Brazilian in his refusal to say things in English, just speaking Portuguese nonstop and leaving the gringos to figure it out, which I love. Also the Brazilian kid having the worst luck and being Hebe’s son is quite funny. So I’ll give him 7/10

Eduardo Saverin (The social network)

Okay. I get it. Andrew is great, the whole “smacking a keyboard down” scene is amazing. It’s a 2010 movie, made before representation was a hot topic.

All that being said, the character is based in a real person. Kid’s name is Eduardo. He was born in Brazil, even though he was raised in the states.

Rubs me the wrong way he’s not played by a actor with a similar background. However, Eduardo, just like Andrew, is of Jewish descent through his immigrant grandparents, which is very accurate. Win some, lose some, I guess. Give it a 5/10 I suppose?

Honorable mention:

Rio

It’s a movie about blue macaws (Araras azuis in Portuguese), not a character in itself, so no ratings.

Even though it’s an USA-made movie, Rodrigo Santoro (all of our mothers’ crushes and a famous Brazilian actor) plays the main human character and the director is Brazilian. The songs are great, but English simply doesn’t do this movie justice.

This film in Portuguese marked my childhood, which is a testament to how great Brazilian dubbing is. Please listen to Hot Wings (Brazilian version).

Note: I know there were a few Brazilians in Shameless, never watched the shows but know they were drug dealers - which, yeah, not fun. I did see some scenes where Portuguese was being spoken though and it was quite funny.

Ah, what medium of art don't I appreciate? I love art! I love reading, listening to music (and singing, but I'm not great at it hahah), sculpture, etc.

With reading, I mostly read fanfics lately, but I enjoy lots of typical books and authors too: Chaos Walking (Patrik Ness), the Lord of the Rings, Rick Riordan's books in general, MXTX's books, the Castle in the Sky. Those are the ones that come to mind first, my faves~ Of course, I include here manga and comics, there's sooo many I love as well. I do draw, but don't usually do comics (maybe someday!). Lately I've been loving Jujutsu Kaisen and Akagami no Shirayukihime, but I could recomend so many good ones.

With music I just always need some music if I'm not watching anything that has sound otherwise, I love so many kinds of styles, but I have a preference for melodic, mellow songs~ specially ones that I can sing along too. Lots of classical too (Chopin is my fave~). And piano is my fave instrument to listen to <3 I kinda talked about music already in the previous ask, so I won't go into more detail hahah

For sculpture I don't really have a particular artist I like, it's more a casual love. But all those "realistic" sculptures are mind blowing to me, how it seems completely real, specially fabric or expressions, but it's made of marble or another hard material.... man, so much talent, I admire them so much.

If we talk about drawing/painting I'm not proficient at but I still admire: watercolour is gorgeous and I am incapable of it. I love the art made with it! Oil and classic paintings as well, there's so many classic artists who have made amazing pieces. My fave is Monet! But I also greatly admire the ones from the victorian period in general. The way they render fabric and clothes is SO GOOD. I kinda emulate it unconsciously when I do my shadding ahah but I am sure it looks nothing like that xD Like, look at this art called "Flirtation" by Frédéric Soulacroix, that fabric 🙏🙏🙏 And the background is gorgeous too.

Also, I really enjoy watching movies/tv shows. Wether they're animation or not. Specially if they have good plot and/or if they have good photography/animation. There's so many beautiful works of arts in that medium as well. Ghibli movies are some of my faves (Howl's Moving Castle is my fave movie ever), Lord of the Rings movies are also masterpieces. I've also enjoyed lately the Poirot movies they've been making recently, they're really interesting and have great photography as well~

I have to say, I don't often watch theater/musicals because they're expensive and I'm broke af. But the times I went to see some, they're amazing as well 🙏 I'll include dance performances here too, because they're in a similar category to me.

I enjoy seeing architecture as well. My fave period for architecture is gothic! The way they did all those high arches and beautifully decorated walls. And the stained glasses! Sooo many great buildings!! Most of the ones I can see around where I live and was able to travel are churches or cathedrals. They are such beautiful buildings, even though I'm not religious in any sense at all, I always love visiting them and seeing them. But there's sooooo many amazing artstyles out there as well! Lique some Mosques are absolutelly stunning, with their intricate colorful patterns! There's so much good architecture to admire as well...

Also, I'll add that videogames are a form of art in my opinion as well, and I admire lots of creators. There's SO MUCH variety in this media, it's insane. Stuff like Return of Obra Dinn or Papers Please by Lucas Pope (who makes it all, including music, he's so talented), Baldur's Gate 3 (currently enjoying this one), Chants of Sennar, Binding of Isaac, Fire Emblem, Kingdom Hearts, etc. So many different styles but so fun and interesting. And also, so many good RPGs with amazing stories I don't think can be told in a better way using other media (Persona series, Tales of series, Dragon Age, the Nonary Games, Mother saga, Xenoblade Chronicles, etc.)

Sorry for the big rambling, I guess you didn't expect me to go into such a extended answer hahahah I really, really love all art of creation, it's such an amazing thing that someone visualizes something and can create it so everyone else can see.

I've said this over and over again, I wish I were filthy rich, so rich I could never ever use all my money, only so I could be an art mecenas (I think it's called patron in English, I like the word we use in Spanish tho XD) and give money to aaaall my favourite artists so they can just create without any worry at all, just focus on their art and not the money they need to make to survive. Just create their own stories, characters, art pieces, or create fanworks of any kind. I don't even want to request stuff I want to see, I just want to see what they want to create! What their mind can imagine and how they see the world!!!

Ah, if only...

“Napoleon’s Battle Plan” the twenty third episode of the first season of Sports Night, is the best episode of the show in my opinion for these scattered reasons…

One of Dan’s first lines in the episode: “We’re grown men with important jobs who are standing in our underwear. Let’s sing a song”.

Dan wondering if there are people in the building across the street who can see them in their underwear.

When told that Casey and Dan don’t have their pants, Dana asks if there was an industrial accident that claimed the lives of both their pants.

The show showing it can be dated AF that when Dana couldn’t sleep she studied a catalogue… is there anything more 90s than a catalogue

“You cracking wise with me now?” Dan has so many good lines this episode

Casey, detailing the titular battle plan of Napoleon’s: “First we show up. Then we see what happens”

Dan: That was his plan?….. Against the Russian army?”

Casey: Yep.

Dan:….. Almost hard to believe that he lost”. Bwahahahahaha

Could that be because Gordon is the worst and Dana doesn’t even want to marry him a little bit.

Cause seriously Gordon is the worst.

And the first thing he asks is if Casey told her.

Did I mention that Gordon is the worst-

And as a general rule, don’t ever preface something with “this part is funny, actually” or anything that sounds like that. It’s pretty much guaranteed the other person will not find it funny.

“It would never happen when we were married”. Really words that should accompany any proposal.

DANA AND SALLY’s CONFRONTATION.

IT IS SO GOOD.

Because Sally is absolutely right- it IS none of Dana’s business if Casey and Sally are doing the do. Gordon is another story but Casey is none of her business.

And the best part- Dana realizes this! While Sally is telling her off, Dana says out loud that Sally is right and Dana is embarrassed for herself for confronting Sally like this.

Sally looks confused for a moment like she’s wondering if this might be a trick. And she in a very gentle way says what Dana desperately needs to hear: Dana isn’t upset, or really cares that Sally slept with Gordon. No, Dana cares that Sally slept with Casey.

This episode and the Ordnance Tactics did a good job of making Sally more than just a leggy siren.

Cause it’s hard not to tell feel for Sally when she matter of factly states that the man she’s been sleeping with for two months doesn’t care for her, and she is aware of this.

Seriously this scene is so good all the way through- just outstanding writing and acting from Felicity and Brenda.

It has dawned on Dan that telling Natalie wasn’t the best idea.

Not just because Natalie went and told Dana, but because now it’s come out about Casey and Sally in addition to Sally and Gordon.

To quote Miss Chanandler Bong- can open, worms, everywhere!

And Casey does not know about ANY OF THIS.

He has been mercifully unaware, behind the closed doors of his and Dan’s office, working away.

Dan is the meme of the little kid who is waking up his parents to tell them he threw up here.

There are a lot of times in the show where Dan seems like the little brother, never more so than when he fills Casey in, which is so amazing once again I need to transcribe it.

“Casey: You told Dana?!

Dan: I told Natalie. Natalie told Dana.

Casey: Oh, boy! Who would’ve thought!

Dan: Dana told Gordon, Dana told Sally. Of course, Sally already knew-“

Dan is such a cute dork I love that he adds of course Sally already knew… and then comes my least favorite line of the episode.

Casey explodes, “you’re a woman, you know that? I’m gonna stick you under a hair dryer!”

Like really Aaron Sorkin? You nailed it with the Dana/Sally talk and then make this stupid ass joke- what does this even mean?

Dana and then Casey both kicking Dan out of the office.

Elliot and Kim telling Casey they’d like to hear his tawdry tales later as he and Dana walk through the newsroom.

The heartbreak Dana packs into “Sally… Sally?”

Casey’s wry observation of “you’re a lot of fun to share an office with today, you know that?” When Dan mentions this time it’s his fault that he and Casey are without pants.

Dan: (as he and Casey walk through the newsroom without pants) Those are nice boxers.

Casey: Shut up.

And Casey’s plan has come to fruition. They showed up- now they’ll see what happens.

Technically, an anchor is a job you could do pantless- you sit behind a desk the whole time.

I really hope this was readable, whenever I rewatch Sports Night this is the episode I’m always most excited to get to- I usually rewind the scene where Dan admits everything to Casey a few times lol.

Sorry to bother you lol but I finished "Bullets and Bonnets" (and LOVED omg you are so talented and cool and wonderful at everything you do from characterization to plot and like- there was NEVER a slow moment. It was so great I read it twice haha) and the ENTIRE TIME I read it, I just kept thinking of this Taylor Swift song (I know you probably aren't the biggest fan of her but this is TOO perfect) called "Cowboy Like Me." And it just. FIT. SO. WELL. I feel like. Cause of:

"And you asked me to me/ But I said "dancing is a dangerous game" for like Peters sort-of reluctance to make anything serious out of his and Wade's relationship for his own protection.

"Oh I thought, this is gonna be one of those things/ now I know I'm never gonna love again" to show how heartbroken he was after what Wade did to him.

"I've got some tricks up my sleeve/ Takes one to know one" First line for both of them, obviously. They give off smarter and more talented and good than people EXPECT them to be. Like, a bounty hunter and a "whore"- they're often written off like that. The second line for how SIMILAR they are. Like, they truly have both been through A LOT and that made them what they are, and whats great is they recognize and relate to that in the other person.

"Never wanted love, just a fancy car" Peters like DESPERATION for something else besides the life he currently has. The life that it feels like he's stuck it.

"Perched in the dark, telling all the rich folks anything they wanna hear" they both work for people but in different ways, even if they don't enjoy it, they still have to do it.

"Like it could be love/ I could be the way forward/ only if they pay for it" Peters occupation basically.

And, "Hustling for the good life" just... PETER, the smart pragmatist.

I'm not a huge Taylor Swift fan beyond a couple of her songs I listen to on repeat HOWEVER I admire her to heaven and back for being one of the rare singers who not only writes her own lyrics but also writes the music she plays. (not that there's anything wrong with people just singing, that's a helluva talent on it's own, but to also WRITE and also PLAY-- girl is talented AF)

That being said, I've fallen in love with so many of her LYRICS even if I don't really like the finished song product because I love to write poetry too and she writes poetry that makes a bitch's heart ACHE and this song is an excellent example of literally top tier lyrics... but music and a cadence I just don't care for.

That being said-- it IS very much BAB Spideypool coded and it's frankly amazing. I'm gonna tag in my fanficbestiesoulmate @xkissmeimirishx because she's the one who sends me half the TS songs for fic and fandom specific reasons and she loves BAB spideypool so I'm sure she'll have thoughts.

But SO MANY LINES. I'm obsessed with the boots beneath my bed/forever is the sweetest con line, like that is so very specifically amazingly Spideypool??

AMAZING. 10/10 reference, I LOVE this. Never hesitate to throw lyrics/fic connections at me, I live for this shit.

Hey, so here’s my lil’ mini review of Key's 2nd mini-album Good & Great after listening to the whole thing twice:

Good & Great: A bop! The harmonies, the melody, the joyous vibe, the pulsing beat~! It's a nice, fun song ^^ and I'm glad it's the intro to the album.

Can't Say Goodbye: The beat omg~ It’s the kind where I found myself swaying and then rocking out 'cause of that chorus. Loveee the runs during the chorus too! At this point (during the first listen), I was already confident in the whole album being no skip 'cause this was really good!

Intoxicating: Again the beeeat. And this song is sexy bruh <3. Very intoxicating for sure, and literally every song I'm listening to has become my top fave lol.

Live Without You: Key put his whole foot in this album bruh. Loooove the drop before that chorus where the beat goes crazy~! Even tho his synth 80’s inspired trilogy is over, his voice fits so damn well with that style so I’m glad he added a song with elements of that in this album.

CoolAs: Looove that bass bruh. The bassline reminds me lowkey of The Less I Know The Better by Tame Impala (another bop <3). Anyways, the lyrics about how he came out the freezer drippin' ice had me giggle both listens, but yeah I love how he's singing in English in this 'cause he sounds good af in Korean, English (and Japanese). Multi-talented king <333. (And helps that I can tell what he's saying right off the bat, like I don't needa look at the lyrics like other songs, both Korean and English ones lol.)

Mirror, Mirror: Y'all know I'm not always a fan of ballads but SHINee in general typically has some of my fave ones 'cause there's sumn added so it's not just a monotone piano or guitar doing like two notes (sorry lemme stop hating on ballads lmao. I just wish in general that there were more power ballads in Kpop). Anyways, so Key's voice is so beautiful on this song especially and really lends well to the overall sad vibe. Ngl though, it's a nice ballad but I kinda wish the album ended on a high note but I know like every SM album always ends on a resolute kinda note. Either way, I'mma be singing and whistling tf outta this song whenever it's on my playlist lol.

It was hard choosing which songs I'd say are the top 'cause I truly love 'em equally. They all have great elements and beats like I'm genuinely gonna listen to all of them a lot, I already know XD. But anyways:

Concert report from Särkänniemi May 28, aka Falling in Love With Joel Hokka, part 5295

First things first, the weather report: the sun was out practically the whole time while we were waiting for the concert(s) to start so it was kinda hot and we were a little uncomfortable but then one of @rainbowcamels 's lovely friends went home to get sunscreen for all of us so at least we didn't have to worry about burning our fair Nordic skin lol 😎 A couple of songs into Cyan Kick's set it started to dribble a little and it was cloudy for the rest of the evening which was perfect👌

We weren't too far away from the stage but there were lots of hands and phones and fucking CARDBOARD SIGNS keeping 163cm me from seeing to the stage a majority of the time😐 (pls don't bring signs to concerts, kids..)

Their new background canvas thingy was pretty cool! We were all 😍😍😍 when it was pulled up

Aleksi was the first one to come out (or at least the first one I saw) and omg it was literally the first second of their gig and I didn't expect it to hit me so much but it did, our boys are back home!! 😭🥺 oh lord how I've missed them, it felt like I had come home too, in a way 🖤

The last "song" on their pre-concert playlist was this funny kinda "old-timey" version of We Are No Saints (mainly the "saints are marching in" part) so I did expect them to start with WANS but then again I was SO not ready for them to start with WANS, what an absolute power move 😵

A couple of songs later they played a new song (?!?!!?!?!!?!??!!) AND I DIDN'T EVEN REALISE IT UNTIL THEY GOT TO THE CHORUS but omg I mean OMG IT WAS ❤❤❤ BECAUSE!!! IT!!! HAS!!! A PORKO!!! GUITAR SOLO!!!

AND I GOT THE SOLO ON FILM AND I COULD NOT BELIEVE WHAT WAS HAPPENING AAAAAAAAAA I've been hoping for a proper guitar solo for Joonas 🥺🥺🥺🥺

And ohhh good heavens, Porko's new concert outfit? Color-cordinated, tits out, what more could you possibly ask for 👀

And like. If we had been standing closer to the front we totally would have seen Olli's chest rug because silly man had forgotten to button his shirt all the way up. Silly silly man...

As always I didn't see much of Tommi because he's hiding in the shadows, this time literally lol because the smoke from the smoke machine was covering him most of the time, but I did manage to capture him on one of my (few) videos 🥰

Niko's facial expressions were also gold as always lol, from the little I saw him because he is stil kinda tiny and crouching on the floor a lot of the time <3

And Joel. Oh, Joel. He was so smiley and beautiful and Joel, oh my god I could look at him for ages 🖤 He said he had missed performing in Finland and just talking in Finnish lol awwwwwwww he's so precious it's always hard for me to look at anyone else but him all the time 🥺🥰

All in all they didn't speak much during the concert though which was a shame but also understandable, they were probably tired af which is why it was so impressive they could STILL put together such a killer show with hardly any ballads to get a little calmdown (for all of us)? They are such energy machines, it blows me away each time and I will never not be amazed by their 200% performance <3

Speaking of ballads, they played Feel Nothing and Bad Idea back to back, which was also expected once the first chords of Feel Nothing sounded, but it still killed us all. Everyone singing along to Bad Idea especially was one of the highlights of the gig, such a beautiful moment and a beautiful song 🥀

All in all the setlist really doesn't give you a change to breathe at any point, so good luck everyone attending their summer gigs, ye gonna die! 😅 (..including myself next Saturday 🤡)

After the concert (and I mean IMMEDIATELY after it ended) @rainbowcamels and I went to one of the rides in the amusement park (Tornado) which was at the same time the best and worst idea ever, some absolute hysterical 40 seconds with the adrenaline from the concert still rushing high, boy it was an experience.. (sorry friend! 😂)

Even though I couldn't see to the stage most of the time, I still had so much fun with @rainbowcamels and her 3 super sweet friends! It was amazing seeing the boys again and to hear/see they're happy to be back home too. I really hope they know how insanely proud of them we are for doing two such amazing tours abroad, they deserve all these goods things they have worked for for years 🖤

"Look Here" was my first "okay, I love these guys" song. Like, it's so cheesy. Namjoon really sold it for me but so did the rest of the rap line and well, all of them. Maknae line was awesome. Jin was great. There's really not a bad part of that song, at all, anywhere, and that's kinda when I went "all right, there is something here worth following".

I MEAN HOW DO WE NOT FALL IN LOVE WITH 2014 BTS I ASK YOU Look at these adorable little kids. They're CHILDREN. Extraordinarily pretty, incredibly talented, hard-working children, but still. You can't hate them. Plus Namjoon's "Look Here" rap is catchy AF.

The song that threw me down the rabbit hole and straight into Wonderland, full-on ARMY membership and Jeon-Park house elf job description, though, was my jam and (maybe) yours, Black Swan. ON was a very close second, but I have had a love-hate-love relationship with Swan Lake since I was nine years old.

BTS' choreographers straight up copied pieces of Matthew Bourne's VERY GAY Swan Lake for Black Swan and I was already a Jimin stan and rapidly getting into Jungkook because I have a perfect-pitch kink. So I was 3/4 there and THEY DID THAT and the jikookery was afoot (and also barefoot but that's beside the pointe /jin)

And that was that. To date the only album I have multiple versions of is MOTS:7 because I needed it. Several times. It has ON and Make It Right and Black Swan and everything else I need for life, liberty and the pursuit of a full nights' sleep or at least restful insomnia. MOTS:7 got me through an exceptionally painful divorce after a 30-year marriage. It got me through the loss of a child, as much as anything can. It got me through the death of my sister. It's been pretty amazing at keeping me above ground and breathing.

Right now, though? I'm back to Dark and Wild, back to Look Here! and Danger and and and, because I need to smile more and hide less and remember what it's like to be fun. I'm giving BE a whirl again (it's possibly my second favorite album). I'm listening to "Dynamite" and "Butter" and "Permission to Dance" ON PURPOSE because I'm a snot but I'm not a "they must sing in Korean" snot and I like bouncy things. How about you??

Thoughts on Eurovision 2022 that nobody asked for:

- Not a fan of the hosts. They're clumsy af, and while they may be cool individually, they made everything a bit awkward. Also tired of the exaggerated flirting. Also, Mika shouldn't be allowed to sing in a low register.

Onto the performances:

🇦🇱 Liked her energy, the beat was catchy, but it was a bit too racey for family TV ngl. Love the parts where she just yells aggressively. Would follow her to battle (ok, as a Serbian, not THAT battle (lol jk hope that stays in the past)) She may not have qualified, but she became a certified icon.

🇱🇻 Eh. Obviously I'm on board with the ICONIQUE moment that made history, but overall, the song wasn't that good, sorry not sorry.

🇱🇹 Monika my lovely! She's beauty and she's grace (and the good kind of crazy) and the song low-key slaps. Also she just did her thing and obviously lived in the moment, and was overall refreshing. Good for her.

Sad they didn't qualify, was rooting for them.

The idea might have been shticky, but they committed so much that they overcame it and perfected it while not going into overly-produced, and hit the just-the-right-amount of polished. Also you can't convince me that that's actually not What does the fox say guy in disguise.

🇦🇲 Just WHY. Another song stuck in 2014, but unlike the Netherlands who tried to out-hipster the hipsters, this person apparently only listened to the Lumineers.

🇫🇮 To quote a meme, peaked in high-school energy. Sesame street, but make it emo. Expected more. Juvenile lyrics. They slided to the final solely on their past glory. Didn't deserve to qualify.

I*rael - First of all, if Russia is banned from the competition, they shouldn't have the right to compete as well given the shit they do in Palestine, but apparently, the EU is selectively humanitarian, surprise, surprise. Politics aside, that guy is one of the most obnoxiously people ever to grace the esc stage, and overall rude and disrespectful. The performance itself was a "safe" act on RuPauls drag race. (This being said, you can criticize him without being homophobic, and just as the people of Russia don't deserve to be bullied for the actions of their government, there's no excuse to be Anti-semitic or bully regular Israeli folks)

🇷🇸 She should win. Absolute perfection. Immaculate. The lyrics. The layers. The delivery. Godstrakta, everyone. No national bias btw, I hated most of our entries.

🇦🇿 Song was a snooze, but he was the best male vocal of the evening. The singing was perfection. Not mad at it.

🇬🇪 Love that they're always themselves and unconventional. This just wasn't my cup of tea tho, and the buildup was too long. I can see prog-rock fans enjoying it. Nika Kocharov still remains my favorite Georgian weirdo.

🇲🇹 Prefered the first song, it was a decent pop ballad (yes, there is too much ballads). Her voice was on point and she has a great stage presence, but the song was just one pile of PANDERING. Melody goes to the Bulgaria pile. Wishing her luck in the future, she's likeable.

🇸🇲 Didn't think I'd like it, but now I'm lamenting that he didn't qualify. At first I falsely assumed that he was a Måneskin wannabe, but au contraire, Achille is an established artist. Was it shticky? Yes. Did I absolutely fall for it? Also yes. He delivered and left the competition a legend. And yes, it was sexy af. Will download. Shout-out to the guitarist and the brilliance that was the mechanical bull.

🇦🇺 Again, WHY. For such a generic song, I expected better vocals and more drama. Thinking of revoking Australia's esc privileges. Cool outfit tho.

🇨🇾 A perfectly made dish with no seasoning. Trusted formula would've worked, but the energy was tragically lacking. Waiting for Eleni or a Balkan folk diva to cover it properly.

🇮🇪 The song was a generic pop-bop that I knew will depend on the performance and HOLY SHIT she s l a y e d. The voice was there, the energy was there, the SASS was there, and I have no idea why she didn't qualify.

🇲🇰 Sorry, not a fan. Way to nasal for my taste and while she's very pretty, there was something unsettling about her. I do not want to test her limits, so that's good.

🇪🇪 WHY. While they had some great entries (Stig Rasta and Elina, La Forza opera lady), they're on their merry way of becoming the new Sweden. I swear they've been sending the same conventionally attractive white-bread guy in his mid-30s every year. Also, quit sampling/copying Avicii already, we're over it.

🇷🇴 ROMANIA singing in Spanish? Sure to be a bop? Right?... Right? No. Disappointed. I was glad he was going for the golden age of Eurovision sound, but it was flat. I wish Ireland or San Marino qualified over him, and I hope Spain out-spanishes them.

🇵🇱 Surprisingly, I am a fan. Way less generic than I thought it would be, catchy, his voice is wonderful. He did struggle a bit, but hopefully, he sings it to his full potential in the final.

🇲🇪 Boring staging, but not the worst ballad, and the singing was excellent, although I do feel like the nerves got to her. Not mad she didn't qualify, but I think she deserved it more than the guy from Switzerland.

🇧🇪 BABY. Precious. Baby. Yes, not the most original track, yes it does remind me of Cry me a river by Justin Timberlake, but the song is early 2000s nostalgia done properly. And the boy CAN SING! I think he had a cold or sth tho, but he's serious competition if he recovers for the finale.

🇸🇪 Good song. Sweden finally figured out how to do pop without being generic. Like it. Am in love with Cornelia. Her voice makes me happy.

🇨🇿 Not a fan. Mikolas was the last Chezh entry that I liked. Ever since, they've painfully been trying to be *urban*. Tired of that Calvin Harris sound, and the performance wasn't my favorite. I knew it would qualify tho, people seem to eat it up every time.

🇮🇹 The song itself kinda grew on me, especially Blanco's parts. Expected more from Mahmood, both musically and vocally. That being said. It's a bit iffy and creepy. Mahmood, please don't be inappropriate with that kid. Come on, be better than that.

🇬🇧 The guy should be a national treasure. Please vote for him, he deserves more than 0 points. And I've been feeling sorry for British artists in esc lately, lol. If someone should break the curse, it's him. I like it very much. Not top 5 material tho. I guess it will depend on the performance.

🇫🇷 One of my favorites. And I hope they score highly, just to stick it to the French government. There should be a song like this every year (Go_a, you're not forgotten)

🇪🇸 Didn't like it at first, reminded me of americanized Latin pop (think Camila Cabello), but I might change my mind, according to the snippet from yesterday. If she manages to be high-energy, she's golden. It will come to the performance. Not gonna be surprised if she gets to top 10, but not gonna be surprised by 0 points either.

🇩🇪 It's growing on me. Much like Spain, we'll have to wait and see.
