#oooohhh hell this generation is gonna be reeeeaaally rough on me. the textures on these models are Completely different from the 3ds #versions. and i do not!!! know how to do it!!!!#grookey #ANYWAY. welcome to generation eight!!! this generation will always hold a special place in my heart because it's the one that #reintroduced me to pokémon as a whole #i've talked about this multiple times in small references in the tags so i'm sure you all already know this but #when i was younger‚ i had a Passing interest in pokémon. didn't really need to play every new game or know every pokémon #but when i turned 18‚ on the SAME day pokémon sword & shield released‚ i ended up getting it for my birthday #mostly because my parents hadn't figured out what to get me for my birthday and heard that the new pokémon game came out the same day #which‚ now that i look it up‚ apparently it actually came out 5 days before my birthday. and i was just Told it came out that day #who knew. anyway‚ i got swsh for my 18th birthday. and i played the shit out of it. hyperfixation material #and that's what got me back into pokémon Properly. back into it as an Autism Special Interest type beat #and now it's stuck with me ever since. so swsh is probably always gonna be one of my favorite games in the series‚ and gen 8 one of #my favorite generations just because of what it means to me personally #gen 8 was also the last pmd game we ever got so .

very pleased with how it WORKS though, even if the actual braid chunk needs more tweaking shape-wise. check it out, no need to worry about stretching it out super long if you want a longer braid. dont need to lop off the ends if you want a shorter one. it just goes along with the length of the curve :)

#that was sooo annoying to troubleshoot #i just made my damn braid chunk too big i needed to apply the scale #to make it smaller #so it would fit the length of the curve ♥#there WILL be cleanup required after applying the modifiers like cleaning up the start and end #and possibly making the overall braid a little less uniform so it doesnt look so mechanical #but generally? big fan so far.#time saver!#and i got some ocs with some LONG fucking braids #so this is gonna be a great thing to get set up lol #i have to work on the texture too bc im using simmandy's textures #for my dev stuff atm #but there isnt really a great/convincing spot to map the braids on there #but its an easy enough fix probably #uh... braids are gonna be kinda rough to do ombres on but. maybe if you painstakingly re-map all the braid chunks after applying mods then #maybe itll work out #i dunno!#simoleon

Anybody else with like sensitivity issues have like... the opposite of overstim happen?? Like everything has gotten so much at some point that you ended up switching it off entirely and no experience Little to No Stim?

i had a dream last night where i was trying to put together a piece for an art final in one afternoon (because apparently i was taking an art class? i kept having lucid moments of hey i’m not even taking a real art class but i was content to still do the project) and actually i remember very clearly what i was planning and i have all the stuff for it i think i should recreate the dream art final piece

#i was doing a giant collage and i was cutting up bits of colorful + textured paper and running them through a printer over and over #again so that the words were overlapping to make an interesting texture and i was moving them around to make an image and i don’t #remember exactly what it looked like but it was an underwater scene and i can remember a few of the fish and coral structures in relative #detail so i think i’m gonna do it why not i do not have a big enough canvas (it was bigger than me in my dream) but i do have some #30in x 40in canvases (originally bought for giant self portraits of me bc i’m vain lmao) but perhaps one could be spared for this?#i also do have a giant sketchbook but i’m unsure if the paper could hold the weight of what i’ll need to do to it. hmmm #i also have a wall….. but i think i was only granted permission to paint over it smoothly and i hate painting smooth i need texture and i #doubt glued paper would be easy to take off if needed. sad. i really do want to do something to a wall some day. maybe i should just build #myself a giant canvas so it can be moved? it would have to be able to fit through the door though :/#what about a bunch of smaller canvasses that slot together to fill the whole wall? that would be kinda cool i can work with that #maybe not for this project though that would be a lot of work bc if i’m gonna do a whole ass wall i’ll need to measure it n shit and then #i wouldn’t want the canvases to fit as squares i’d want them to be cool and interesting shapes so i’d have to build them myself #hmmmmmmmm. i will think about that later perhaps when i get my own place . it will be epic though i assure you #so i can add some supports to my giant sketchbook paper to keep it sturdier or perhaps i could use a giant canvas. decisions decisions #i will think abt it after i get her up how much colored/printed paper i have (a lot bc i get some every time they’re on sale at micheals #because i have a problem) and i should cut them all to like 8x11 so they’ll slot through the printer so i can cut them up after?#or perhaps i will cut them up before so i can get the vision right? there will be a lot of layers to this i know the pov of the one in my #dream was from the sea floor but near a reef so i will need to work on perspective a bit so maybe a nice big preparatory sketch for a rough #placement of everything then extra details i can come up with as i go? the fish and things will need to be layered a lot but once the base #colors are on i can’t really sketch it out. hmmmmm. i’ll contemplate some more i think

I went to a filipino food/cultural fest with my filipina friend this weekend and tried balut (steamed fertilized duck egg) which was a entertainment hit with both my friends family and with the granny who was at my table who filmed and narrated me eating it 😂 caucasian girl tries balut for the first time

HOW TO GLAZE YOUR WORK WITHOUT A GOOD PC(or on mobile)/TIPS TO MAKE IT LESS VISIBLE

Glaze your work online on:

Cara app. It requires you to sign up but it is actually a good place for your portfolio. Glazing takes 3 minutes per image and doesn't require anything but an internet connection compared to 20-30 minutes if your pc doesn't have a good graphic card. There IS a daily limit of 9 pictures tho. Glazed art will be sent to you after it's done, by email. It took me 30 minutes to glaze 9 images on a default setting. Cara app is also a space SPECIFICALLY for human artists and the team does everything in their power to ensure it stays that way.

WebGlaze. This one is a little bit more complicated, as you will need to get approval from the Glaze team themselves, to ensure you're not another AI tech bro(which, go fuck yourself if you are). You can do it through their twitter, through the same Cara app(the easiest way) or send them an email(takes the longest). For more details read on their website.

Unfortunately there are no ways that I know of to use Nightshade YET, as it's quite new. Cara.app definitely works on implementing it into their posting system tho!

Now for the tips to make it less visible(the examples contain only nightshade's rendering, sorry for that!):

Heavy textures. My biggest tip by far. Noise, textured brushes or just an overlay layer, everything works well. Preferably, choose the ones that are "crispy" and aren't blurred. It won't really help to hide rough edges of glaze/nightshade if you blur it. You can use more traditional textures too, like watercolor, canvas, paper etc. Play with it.

Colour variety. Some brushes and settings allow you to change the colour you use just slightly with every stroke you make(colour jitter I believe?). If you dislike the process of it while drawing, you can clip a new layer to your colour art and just add it on top. Saves from the "rainbow-y" texture that glaze/nightshade overlays.

Gradients(in combination with textures work very well). Glaze/nightshade is more visible on low contrast/very light/very dark artworks. Try implementing a simple routine of adding more contrast to your art, even to the doodles. Just adding a neutral-coloured bg with a darker textured gradient already is going to look better than just plain, sterile digital colour.

And finally, if you dislike how glaze did the job, just try to glaze/shade it again. Sometimes it's more visible, sometimes it's more subtle, it's just luck. Try again, compare, and choose the one you like the most. REMEMBER TO GLAZE/SHADE AFTER YOU MADE ALL THE CHANGES, NOT BEFORE!!

a stove literally exploded on me

i was not hurt badly but not gonna lie that put the fear of god into me
