I’ve been thinking about how with the most homosocial group of Americans in the present discourse, the politics of men and women are diametrically opposed and each gender is down a different radicalization pipeline.

Something about the politics makes sense to me if I consider that one gender desperately wants to take down their opponents to management, and one desperately wants to escape or destroy management culture.

The same people would have probably made up many married couples in the past, with them discussing their viewpoints with their same-gender friends - her in her reading circle, him at the gentleman’s club - and at the end of the day agreeing on “fuck the poors.”

the big difference in attitudes is that she is required to couch her real viewpoints under several layers of misdirection and laundering, because how the dude says the same things is not How Ladies Are Supposed to Talk.

Como un cruce entre Dr. Feelgood y unos AC/DC más ligeros y dinámicos, los australianos The Angels - conocidos fuera de su país de procedencia como Angel City- en "Take a Long Line" y "Waiting For The World" (que tiene algo de Vapors), ambos cortes de su primer álbum internacional "Face to Face" (Epic, 1980). Es un disco magnífico, repleto de buenas canciones, aunque tenga truco.

Como en el caso de AC/DC, Jo Jo Zep & The Falcons y otras bandas down under, tienen una discografía local y una internacional, y éste es un disco recopilatorio que incluye un tema de su LP australiano de debut, cuatro del segundo y cinco del tercero. Lo mismo pasa con su segundo LP internacional "Darkroom", que es un resumen de los mejor de su segundo, tercer y cuarto álbumes australianos.

Ya puse de ellos hace tiempo la dylaniana  “Wasted Sleepless Nights / Darkroom”, pero no había escuchado el estupendo "Face to Face". Gracias a Alberto Klobber por la recomendación.
