I get from casuals or not Barça supporters that the logical option, upon getting asked to chose the "worst humiliation" in Barça's UCL's recent history, would be to go for the infamous 8-2 since, as you pointed out, it's a pretty catastrophic score that cannot be surpassed by a seemingly more dull 4-0. But from a Barça's hincha, you have to place Anfield, and Bayern, in the larger context.

Essentially, after 2015, it was a free fall, that started to take real shape and become noticeable in our game with Roma (4-1 ; 0-3 won by Roma due to the exterior goal rule that has since been erased) in 2018, then Anfield in 2019 (3-0 ; 0-4) and finally Bayern's 8-2 in 2020. Roma was the first severe hit, but Anfield was the uppercut. You gotta place it into our 2018-2019 season: Barcelona, after the 2017-2018 season, departures, knocking out of the UCL, wasn't expected to do very great, but they did. Because of a mix of things but most of all, essentially, at the core of it all, there was one guy that was at the form of his life, one guy that carried his club like Sisyphus and his boulder, one guy that aligned absolutely mental statistics while passing the eye test and being visibly better than essentially everyone on the pitch, whether his teammates or their opponents. Guess who. 😐 I'm not gonna go over his performance because truly, he outplayed and outshined every single player that season. FCB was on its way to win La Liga, the Supercopa and well on the UCL until Liverpool happened.

The first leg was good. That free kick? I jumped out of my skin alright. Me and the friends I was watching with did a Tom Cruise on my fucking couch, we were screaming, laughing, we couldn't believe it. You know those moments of euphoria in football, when it all happens at once, action after action, you can't fathom it, you're caught in your own pride, joy, relentless hope? Resumes LM10's UCL's run pretty well: stellar. Putting everyone on their feet. Making us hope to touch that trophy again. Making us so fucking proud of being a blaugrana and having him as ours. A promise of something great lying ahead, a treble, after Roma, after Neymar's departure and lack of proper replacement. I got no words for how bad second leg was. A crumble on the pitch, off of it, a mentality struggle that cripples this team to this day. Liverpool was so bad because the team just had to not take four goals. Guess they took lessons from PSG tho. :)

Can't really tell you how I and multiple felt about that; it was just a general, horrific crumble, and after the game, a kind of numbness that settled in. I remember one of my friend just shrugging at the end of Bayern; almost laughing. We were completely snapped out of it, no involvement whatsoever, and that's why, to me, Anfield was worse. Because at Anfield, we genuinely thought we could do it. It was a fairy tale. At Bayern, we didn't. 8-2 could have been 3-0 or 5-1 or 10-2, wouldn't have changed much. I'm not claiming it's all Barça's supporters feelings towards this, just explaining mine. I still can't watch Anfield's vids because it makes me genuinely mad, for everything it could have represented, for everything we could have won, because a team hadn't been able to back up one player when he had a faltering of form over one game. A bittersweet reminder that you could be the best player in the world and go through arguably the best season of your career, if you don't have anyone behind you, you won't get anywhere — football is a team sport and nothing else. A team wins. A team loses. End of discussion. :)

Just an opinion but i feel like fans spread way to many rumors and think they have the right to judge people they only see on instagram. If we like the band and the music, i dont see why we would have to assume things about their partner’s personalities based on what people say on social media.

A very valid opinion to have. I guess in a way were all guilty of it, even with those in the bands because we just guess their personalities as well as we don’t actually know them. I would say on Instagram someone like Arielle for example, her personality shines through in her vids and stuff, however hyperbolic some of them are. Alexa sorta the same, she’s a fashion girlie can see the glimpses of her humour in what she’s like, especially in that one where she’s dressed up in one of the latest vids she’s posted.

Think the issue is with Amanda is that what we’ve all seen of her is that she’s in her 30s and is acting like a teenager with her first ever boyfriend (I won’t bring up what she did to that new fan who accidentally tagged her in a bre edit when she didn’t know Matt wasn’t with her anymore, but that proves a point in itself) . My issue with pauline is that she’s trying too hard to appear a certain way, I’ve only based my opinions on her with what I’ve seen on her Instagram and she just seems boring, which I think is what everyone else has seen too and is a reason why people don’t like her. And that is taking the whole cheating thing out of the equation entirely. For example, when Katie posted the video of pauline dancing and smiling at Glasto the other day, I thought it was nice because we were getting a glimpse of what she’s actually like. Not what she’s appearing to be on insta. If I saw more of that I would probably like her more.

Take Taylor even, since following her since the end of 2019 I haven’t had an issue with her. I think she’s quite cool, I love the cowboy vibes and I love that her fave film seems to be the same as mine. What I’ve been told about her in the past have shocked me, yes. But until I see screenshot proof of it, imma take things with a pinch of salt like I hope most people do when they hear rumours.

At the end of the day, me sharing my opinions on them isn’t going to change anyone else’s opinions in the long run. And everyone is more than welcome to disagree with them. Life would be boring otherwise. Let’s take for example the varying different opinions on Matty at the moment, I love him but manyyyy people out there don’t. And that’s fine, more chance of me getting a ticket to the next gig 😂 I wouldn’t personally say I’m spreading rumours, I’m just forming an opinion from their instas and sharing it to see it anyone else has the same thoughts. Turns out they do but if you don’t that’s more than fine💜

It took me until I was 36 to create it. I lived at home until I was 29 (a mix of The Economy, the Grand autism-mo, CPTSD, and being the caretaker of my elderly grandma- which was a blessing honestly you all would have loved her.. She accepted me and was the first one I came out to. Like The Best Human Ever.) from idk 29-33 I lived in a hole in the wall apartment in Florida. Now while the apartment was nice compared to the crime ridden cesspool that was my hometown. It was... Florida. lol. In my home town no one gives a shit if you're GLBT or transition just as long as you like everyone else- stay in your lane. Florida was very different. Florida was painfully passive aggressive and fake.. and.. I quote;

I came back home to Maryland, and rented with my dad for a few years. I spent a good hunk of my 30s just painstakingly saving every penny I could- not doing things, just having that One Goal. My own ass house. No cons, no bullshit shinny things, no movies. Just... That. And I Did It. And it's Nice. I did almost get my own house as soon as I came back, but because I was still a Florida resident on the books, and it would take a month or two to get the things switched over- that deal fell through. And I had to wait for one with in my budget, and with the things we needed (had to have a garage, cuz, well. Other Job requires it.)

But a mere few weeks after my near fatal 'I shouldn't be alive you have Something Looking Out For You' as the ER dr said Accident. I get spammed with calls and text from my Dad and brother " someone is going to call you about a house. Say you're making an offer." Now, lol. The first they they tell you after your brain gets concussed to never make a huge financial decision. But- House. They text me the address- I check online and it looks cute, it's got enough space. It's prefect and right in the middle of this small little town. I say yes when the realtor calls. They quickly get me in for a tour before work. It's Prefect. It's Home. I'd show vids but my nephew's in it so, hahah. I can't.

I took all these classes, I panicked and got scared and was using One Hand the entire time because my other hand was in cast from the wreak. And they needed this and that and OH ONE MORE THING. And I had to find 'proof' why I made less in 2019 than I did in 2018 because of the Boobectomy and had to disclose "Oh...I transitioned from female to male and wanted chest surgery.." and it happened.

Finally. It was mine.

I sat there with Al's encouragement signing all the papers and was given the keys. I spent the first night in this house on my shitty futon from Florida in the "room with the fridge in it" watching ATLA on a old labtop because the power company was supposed to come by and I had to be there. Spent the first week repainting a room I'd be sleeping in. This whole ass house was the EPITOME of 'Blue'. And I hated the color and wanted greys.

Then we moved in. It took a lot of work, repairing things, freaking out. And it was all over 3 years ago..

it's just my dogs, and Aub/Al- be it spiritual spooky or some weird ass version of DID which compartmentalized into 'not disordered' as my shrinks would put it. It's just US.. By all accounts, a f/o relationship. We're happy. It's nice stumbling about the place planning meals and deep cleaning and doing all that boring domestic shit together. Knowing - this is our home.

ive liked bts since 2016 when a youtuber I followed reacted to fire. ive been lowkey following their music since 2017 bcuz a very close friend of mine became an army after dna went viral and used to share a lot of bts mvs and songs with me. i started watching bts edits and clips in 2019 when a twt moot became a minjoon biased army and i had bts content all over my tl, and ive kept up with them ever since lol. but i couldn't Properly get into them until the lockdown in 2020 when I finally sat down and listened to all their songs and watched their performances. i think the BST mv + stage performances rlly solidified my love for them.

I watched a lot of bts compilation vids as well and rlly imo I think once you start watching bts content, there's just No turning back from there. they're so sincerely charming as ppl on top of having a Very solid discography theres no way out loool. in this bangtan sonyeondan shit for life, as a truly wise person once said. and ik in general most yt vids suck and include a lot of stereotypes for members and i don't recommend them as your intro to bts at All but there's So Many Cute ones as well. bts interview compilations, bts taking care of eo compilations, bts being funny compilations, etc. still i switched over to the original content quick enough lol, and there's So Much of it idt I'll ever be caught up entirely.

however as u know eventually yt starts reccing the analysis vids. and Those put me off both jkk and tkk so thoroughly ive never been able to get into the two ships again ;-;-;- it was very frustrating to want to watch minimoni compilations and have yt only recommend slowed down zoom ins on Proof That jkk/tkk Real. the comment section for these videos were also especially awful im ngl. the whole experience made me so sour i quit watching ship compilations on yt entirely. ;-;-;-;

i got into vmin specifically after i first Properly heard the soulmate anthem with lyrics and went ?!?!?!? this + the June 2020 Avalanche of vmin content turned me into a vminie. vmin content doesn't rlly filter into the ot7 spaces as much, so you've to Rlly go looking for it. i think after the unit interview 4 o'clock revelation i got curious about vmin and went ahead and found the small corner of vminies in the fandom bcuz even in June 2020 there Weren't very many of us here lol.

the old vminies kept talking about how vmin had changed over the years, so I went back to watch the old bangtan bombs to pay attention to vmin in particular. and like, once you See it, you can't Unsee it. ive talked about this before, but vmin have gone from The most rowdy best friends who roughouse for fun to The most gentle and tender soulmates and the transition is so ?!?!?!?!?

Looking back, did you create more than you thought you would this year, less, or about what you’d expected? A little less, I think. This wordcount is pretty average for me, I usually bow out at around 10K words a year. But in recent years I've tended to make a few more fanvids than I did this year. In the last quarter of the year real life concerns took precedence, and that's fine.

What’s your own favorite creation of the year? I can honestly say I like them all, but my favorite vid is Scarborough Fair -- I've always thought the song was beautiful, and I think the match of lyrics and images turned out quite lovely. And I'm always pleased whenever I get a story written, because that's a good deal harder for me than any of my other creative endeavors. I loved taking the opportunity to add a little magical realism to a Victorian Holmes verse, I adore that kind of thing.

Did you take any creative risks this year? Not…really? Mostly I just did My Usual Sorts of Things :) I did see some progress this year though. I'm proud of the Diana Rigg portrait, it's a definite improvement for me in my sketching.

Do you have any goals for the new year? I have one fanvid already made that I'll be posting in the new year, but otherwise I have no idea what I'll be working on next. I tend to play things very much by ear.

Most popular creation of the year? Ahaha, this one is hilarious! So, the Ever Given got stuck in the Suez Canal, yes? Well, apparently YouTube's algorithms took that as a sign to start promoting the hell out of anything whatsoever with a nautical theme…As a result, a Master and Commander fanvid that I made in 2019 for a small Festivids exchange suddenly and completely unexpectedly took off. This thing had less than 10 likes on tumblr, but purely thanks to mysterious algorithm magic it's currently clocking in at 33,000+ views on YouTube. Truly the funniest and most random thing I could ever have achieved popularity with, LOL!

Creation of mine most under-appreciated by the universe, in my opinion: I'm glad whenever anyone looks at anything of mine! I do regret a little bit, though, that there is no online place within the large Destiel fandom devoted to sharing fanvids. I think Destiel fans might enjoy some of mine, but there's really nowhere in particular I can put them where they will be seen. I mean, I put them on AO3, obviously, but in my experience most people on AO3 are there looking for fic, not vids. And YouTube is not well organized for fandoms, there's too much else going on over there so these things tend to vanish quickly into the ether. *shrug* C'est la vie.

Most fun thing to make: Just Dance!! So many Holmeses, so many Watsons, even so many Moriartys! It finally introduced me to Sherlock Hound, which was a delight. Also, Lady Gaga's song is a bop and it was very cheering listening to it endlessly as I worked.

Most unintentionally telling thing: This was intentional, actually, but best things dwell out of Sight was the first fic in which I have been conscious of incorporating some of my feelings as an asexual person into my writing (not in a literal sense, the characters in the fic are not ace, but I'm personally aware of that element influencing some parts of the story).

Biggest disappointment: I've left Vimes/Vetinari languishing too long! Let's get those wheels moving again!!

Biggest surprise: I was so happy to hear that one of my tumblr friends enjoyed my Peter/Harriet vid and was prompted to check out the 1980s miniseries as a result, which they enjoyed very much! What a pleasure, to have gotten to introduce them to something they wound up falling in love with the same way I did!
