Genuinely, I want to go camping, for a week or two, on a lake or a mountain. Nothing but beautiful scenery surrounding me, a warm fireplace in a cozy cabin with soft, comfy beds and lots of blankets. A lover at my side and lots of books, coffee and tea.

That's been a dream of mine forever. I hope one day I can achieve it.

Truchas was founded in 1754 on a Spanish Land Grant. Due to the remote location, the town didin't change dramatically until a paved road was established in the early 1970s. Robert Redford filmed "The Milagro Beanfield War" around Truchas. These days, there are a lot of artists/studios, well worth checking out if you are cruising the High Road to Taos.
