Some of the things I hate the most in comics are characters who are time/universe displaced.

These types of things happen because of popularity and making it so that they are stuck in a place, still, I'm not fond of the trope when there are better alternatives.

(DC universe: legacies #2).

Originally 2 of the founders of the seven soldiers of victory were Oliver Queen and Roy Harper, better known as green arrow and speedy. But here's the catch, since they didn't have a Alan Scott/Hall Jordan situation DC would often change the line up to not involve the archers... That is until 2021 with the stargirl spring break special where they reveal they got sent back in time by clock king and where the golden age heroes.

The previous solution was good or alternatively pulling an All-stars wouldn't be bad I think, hell @the-antiapocalyptic-man take on how a golden age green arrow would be is pretty cool.

Usually with these types of things DC easily solves with merging universes with yeah it works like 80% of the time.

Another character that fits the bill is power girl, I'm not a big fan of her (not that the character isn't great, it's just that I'm focusing on other heroes) but her history is intertwined with her "younger" counterpart in ways that honestly hurt both characters.

She is both an unfortunate outcome of editorial mandates and amazing writing.

From the other beast that dominates the comic book industry you have Miles Morales and... Oh boi.

I have a love and hate relationship with him, I get why he is here but more than anything I'm frustrated about marvel inability to actually commit to the decision, one day he remembers he is from another universe and the other he doesn't so what is it? Oh and also while we are at it his 616 origin sucks and I fucking hate Aaron.

(I think a cool version of 616 miles would be him being the son of one of those 7 unnamed Brothers of Hobie, he is also a mutant and would take on the mantle of prowler after his uncle retires or something).

Now the main reason I made this post is Bart Allen, don't get me wrong I like all these superheroes and enjoy their displaced nature but what happens when Bart ages? Is he still gonna exist when parents are born? Obviously none of these questions are gonna be answered because these characters are never gonna age, even if it's there's an ongoing plot for it.

Oh and don't get me started Scott Summers and his panteon of children from apocalyptic futures.

Anyway sorry for the long rant about me being racist agonist fictional people from other dimensions.

@the-antiapocalyptic-man since you were excited for my Adam warlock redesign I stepped up my game a little, actually drew in my style rather than trace over some gamora concept art to get the redesign out quicker!

But here’s my Adam Warlock redesign! Not much of a change but I wanted to push the idea he’s this glam/prog rock occult space Jesus character and little things like the excess of gold jewellery the thigh high spats the crop top and the skulls just sorta help push that narrative, this design was also intended to blend his original looks with his guardians of the galaxy appearance, didn’t finish this one, heck didn’t even do the lighting on it! Got a bit distracted with my birthday today but wanted to get it out quicker cus you were excited! @edithdraws also wanted to Thank you! Your Adam art was a major Major inspiration and your art is very much what I think of when I think of what Adam should look like !

Who should I draw next ? Rocket or Drax ?

I think having them stay the same would make more sense for a universe focusing on 'everybody's a funny animal now'… But I'm thinking about what Grodd would use for a title now. Human Grodd. General Grodd? God-King Grodd?

I think they should all be animals in a furry universe, though it would make for some changes in dynamics.

Helena Batman Rogues-Following the chaos and destruction of the Infinite crisis, factions myriad battle to decide the future of the burgeoning megalopolis Neo-Gotham. Whether advocating for totalitarian justice, eco fascism, unrestrained capitalism, unrestrained anarchy or any other cause, all would see their vision made real through any means necessary. Helena Wayne, the newest person behind the cowl of Batman, finds herself an underdog. Unable to rely on her family’s wealth, few allies to call her own, and brought back to (relative) basics in terms of equipment, she fights on, intent to see Gotham, regardless of whatever path it ultimately follows, is defended.

- Red Hood (Leader of the False Face Society, having taken the identity of another classic Gotham Rogue)

- Thrillkiller / Bianca Steeplechase (Just here to have a good time)

- Yo Yo (Bianca’s girlfriend, just along for the ride)

- Unsanity Collective (Tech thieves, partially inspired by the Jokerz, plans to drag Gotham into a “New Age”)

- Miracle Molly / Mary Kowalski (A rather nihilistic yet grounded anti-hero allied with the Unsanity Collective, but with her own goals in mind...)

- Terrible Trio (College aged miscreants,  using off shoots of the Langstrom formula, proto splicers. Based off TV 2004 Batman )

- Strix / Mary Worth (The last Talon, whose cells have begun to degrade.)

- Silver Monkey (League of Shadows agent, wielder of the Soultaker, succeeding Katana(unfortunately))

- Wrath (Man groomed and trained as an ‘anti-Batman’)

- Pythea (OC, inspired by the Oracle, but with a much more villainous bent...)

- Intergang (After years of being kept out of Gotham, the degradation of the Iceberg Lounge leaves room for new enterprises)

- Quakemaster (Urban magic practitioner, desires to rebuild Gotham in his own image)

- Azrael (Restless spirit of Jean-Paul Valley, unleashing indiscriminate “justice”)

- Clayface / Johnny Williams (Firefighter mutated in lab fire containing remains of previous Clayfaces)

- Aerosmith (OC, at least partially based off of @the-antiapocalyptic-man‘s Breathplay, an aerokinetic metahuman who only wants to cause chaos & pain)

- Onomatopoeia (Cape killer, capable of using sound effects for magic, possibly immortal)

- Snapdragon (Middle aged mage of the Green, wants to see Gotham returned  to nature, and the population serving as fertilizer)

@the-antiapocalyptic-man So here’s my Rocket Raccoon redesign, played around with texture brushes in this one xD this was a design I had for ages and loved but when it came to colour I accidentally made it a reference to his first appearances whether it be in hulk comics, rockets first solo or the guardians movie, plus the eidos Montreal video game, not a first for rocket but it helps flesh out the space Sheriff, tinkering engineer aesthetic I wanted to push.

Rocket racoon as a character was inspired by the Beatles song Rocky Racoon a song about a spurned cowboy and in his original comics he was the sherif of half world, but in his modern appearances he’s more gun nut engineer and tactician than space sherif, so I wanted to bring it back to a cowboy esk design that showed his engineer self in the technology he carried with him, hence the goggles the waistcoat and neckerchief, all in hindsight references. He carries with him the sheriff badge if halfworld on his lapel and a guardian badge on his belt, I imagine he has some kinda pocket dimension backpack he pulls his Arsenal of comically large guns out.
