Dr. Jerry Tenant, author of Healing Is Voltage, writes about how he views the meridians as battery packs for the organs. I see this creating a cyclical (because why wouldn’t it be cyclical if all the rest of existence is also) relationship between muscles and organs. As previously mentioned through the exploration of the spleen channel, I feel like I’m less following myofascial tracts or Anatomy trains and movement, and more so now into the systems of flow. Movement, Muscles & Meridians: posterior chain & the knee, UB channel and superficial back line I’m really just interested in mapping “energetic” with “structure” to compare and contrast and maybe find that they’re saying the same damn thing and maybe even find some insights from one to the other. Thank you for all the acupuncture corrections about the different channels from those that know more than I. I’m not an acupuncturist. The most remarkable thing about the Back of the Knee to me is the dance of the Urinary bladder channel. The popliteal vascular supply and the lateral superior genicular branches seem to mirror this. Not nerves, nor myofascia…okay arguably there’s a space perfectly created by the hamstrings and gastrocnemius muscles for this, but compared to the rest of the Bladder channel that simply traverses up the middle of the muscles, this fascinates me. Second note, the channel jumps up to the hip. Technically I know I’m getting the direction wrong, but I’m more interested in proving myself wrong that knee problems are not knee problems, until they are. Here we have another connection of the Knee to hip figured out way before my life time.
