"The greatest thing you will ever learn is just to love and be loved in return" ❤ I saw a mantinee of @moulinmusicaluk today and omg I loved that musical, honestly I only really know Moulin Rouge the movie and compared to that the musical was actually different, of course plotwise, it was the same but I love that with this stage production, apart from the iconic Lady Marmalade, a lot of the soundtrack was updated with more up to date songs and I loved that especially with it meshed it so nicely into the story! Btw, it looks like I am flashing the red carpet in the first pic, but I was trying to show off my Central Perk t-shirt! 😂 I had an allergic reaction to something I ate and ended up covered in hives, so I couldn’t actually take my jacket off. . Seeing the show was truly like seeing old friends again, and they blow through ten years of FRIENDS while lovingly poking fun at everything (like how Monica and Rachel could have afforded their apartment) and bringing back some familiar characters (Gunther!). . Cast announced for digital charity revival of Steven Carl McCasland’s Little Wars

Bringing together six exceptional women, Little Wars unites literary figureheads Gertrude Stein (Bassett), her girlfriend Alice Toklas (Russell), Dorothy Parker (Chazen), Lillian Hellman (Stevenson) and Agatha Christie (Thompson), with anti-fascist freedom fighter Muriel Gardiner (Solemani), in the most fantastical what-if dinner party imaginable. Tensions are high and secrecy lingers in the air, but with libations flowing and the threat of World War II looming the guests are close to boiling point.

To take each one separately...

I figured the posts were in regards to Phantom re-opening in London and possibly Broadway. I was also predicting that there will be an announcement that the London version would feature changes similar to those that occurred in the modified UK tour that ran so briefly in early 2020, possibly with CamMack using words like “the critically acclaimed but short-lived tour” or something. There’s one article that seems to be confirming it, that theatrefan one, but it’s also not the most reliable source, and it seems there might be some contradictory statements from ALW. I’m waiting on an official statement, but I feel like it’s leaning towards the production opening with several modifications, and that’s what I’m bracing myself for. I’d love to hear that Phantom will get some kind of concert, similar to what Les Mis got (and which has just been revived for a short time), but I’m not really holding my breath for that.

I’m fine with the casting of Killian Donnelly and I think he deserves a decent run as much as anyone else, but I do associate him with the above-mentioned modified UK tour, so I’m a bit wary of what his casting might mean for the future of the London production, again as said above. As for Broadway, the last I heard is that the current members’ contracts still hold (with the exception of a couple of members who were going to leave soon after lockdown occurred), so it should be Ben Crawford returning as the Phantom.

But who knows. Can’t predict what will happen. I just roll with it.

Went to see @sixthemusical in the Vaudeville Theatre last Saturday and it was sooo good! I got to see it with my sib sib @themagickalkat and it just made this theatre trip so much better! This was my first time seeing it since I saw it with the OG cast in the London Arts Theatre and this cast was just as good and we were lucky to see a super swing perform because the one playing Jane Seymour fell ill midway through the show, at least we got see both Jane actresses perform which is all that matters!
