There’s a new place to spend time with family and friends in Cebu! Highlands de Busay was conceptualized by Power Couple Anthony and Cheryl Ballreich during the pandemic! When they showed me the plans for Highlands de Busay, I was totally floored! Listening to Anthony explain his vision then erased whatever doubts I had that this venture will be successful. Fast forward to its soft opening this month, the place has already become so popular that you need to make reservations to be assured of a table. We got the best view in their main restaurant aptly called THE CLIFF. The greenery was very relaxing and the cool breeze helped build up the mood! Service was on point. I was mentally marking every positive action that the staff did for us. So far so good. That for me was a good sign. We were pleasantly surprised that their menu offerings are reasonably priced. I’ve always been a fan of their Thai Restaurant and I was happy to see familiar items in their menu. Our orders were served promptly and as expected everything’s flavorful from their salad, main courses to their dessert! My friends and I were totally enjoying ourselves. We didn’t notice the time until we saw the amazing cityscape at night! No wonder that they have become popular. There’s a lot more to expect from Highlands de Busay. Everybody knows #thecliffs on the west side of the lake. Brave folks climb up and jump from a designated spot up top. They lie just north of Duncan Bridge, past the entrance to #clearcreek on the point across the Sipsey channel from #spoonisland . We drove past there a couple of weekends ago and snapped some pics, but we didn’t stop to jump. So many memories at Possum Kingdom Lake. It’s still a hidden gem, so grab your family and friends and head on out. Texans are friendly and always willin’ to lend a hand or help you feel at home! 

Hell’s Gate is a party cove during peak season and a peaceful retreat the rest of the year. Fourth of July at Hell’s Gate is a must see. 

If you’re up for one-of-a-kind golf course, check out The Cliffs on Possum Kingdom. The course is challenging with wind gusts and steep cliffs, but it’s THE BEST 18 holes I’ve ever played. The Cliffs won’t disappoint. You might even run into pro golfers!
