I am a BEN Drowned cat ear headphones truther 😤😤😤

I like to imagine BEN sort of like an incel - stays in his bedroom all day, so plugged into the internet but so detached from reality. He really hermits in his bedroom and spends a lot of time online or staring at screens. His backstory in my AU under the cut

In my AU, BEN is more than just a ‘ghost’ or ‘spirit’. His creation was far more complex than just the end of one life, but rather the elaborate creation of something new. The very corruption that was the heinous sacrifice of 12 year old Ben Lawman was enough to manifest the creation of BEN; a haunted video game cartridge, where a vengeful and angry spirit resided. To be clear, once Ben Lawman was sacrificed, the child was dead. Instead, what became of his excess dread, anguish and fear would twist and contort into the hardware of the Majoras Mask cartridge. The unholy deeds of the cult would also contribute to this wicked entities awakening, and in turn create the monster we know as BEN Drowned.

In short, Ben Lawman died. BEN Drowned lived.

In the early stages, BEN was hardly anything substantial. Mostly, the energy was just...angry, frustrated. There was an undertone of violence but...no where to put the energy. BEN hardly had a form at all...merely stealing sprites from Majora's Mask as placeholders for his identity...and cutting up letters and sentences from the games data to write his own means to communicate.

All he knew was a name, BEN, and that something was taken from him.

As Slenderman sees the potential in this…thing, he grants BEN the opportunity to age as if he never died.

He allows BEN to have a physical form, outside of the haunted game cartridge, that is able to age as if he never drowned.

However, this doesn’t come without a couple of conditions or caveats. BEN is undead, and as his soul has combined with the Majora’s Mask cartridge he has some supernatural abilities. Playing off the theme of the Zelda games Majora’s Mask and Ocarina of Time (both in which would come from knowledge carried over from Ben Lawman, and the coding from Majora’s Mask), BEN is able to age and regress as needed - this aids him in luring in different victims and manipulating others.

This shape shifting ability also helps him fit into spaces that he normally wouldn’t be able to get into, and maneuver through different terrains seamlessly. However, he does have a default form that has properly aged with him as if he had never died at the age of 11 years old. This default form takes 0 energy to maintain and is often the most comfortable for him.

AHHHHH! BEST. ASK. EVER!!!! This means so much because like I feel I have barely even scratched the surface of my au on this blog (I have an entire Obsidian dedicated to it and yet I can never figure out how to put it out in text post form ^^")

So basically the entire "plot" of my AU revolves around this idea that every Proxy/resident of the manor are unknowingly committing murder for this ancient sort of like eldritch God. They assume they do the things they do because of the Slenderman, but what they dont know is that Slenderman isn't at the top of the arrangement!

Slenderman is actually an Acolyte for this ancient being, known as the Seer. And the Seer exists within all the land that is the Slender Woods (and beyond)

So far I like to think that Jane and Eyeless Jack are the only two residents of the manor that have somewhat of an idea of what's going on. Like...they don't have a GREAT idea...but somewhat of an idea!

Like Jane is Slenderman's 'right hand man.' They have an interesting relationship, and she doesn't have a lot of time to herself with how busy she is in the mansion. But with what little free time she has, she's trying to unravel the mysteries of this weird reality she's found herself in.

Eyeless Jack is an academic. He's trying to learn all he can about his demonic attributes, and why exactly he is the way that he is. He also feels like the Slenderman is not being honest about his or Lazari's origins. While he does have to tend to the wounds of various residents, he's also noticed the weird nature of the woods, and how sometimes new residents will show up to the manor with odd purple scars... I like to think he has a little lab where he experiments on the weird plants he finds, and where he's compiling all the weird information he finds.

Obviously all the other characters have their little motives and arcs! Like the Proxies (Tim, Brian, Toby, Kate....) are their own separate thing most of the time since they don't live in the manor. They have to face the horrors and reality of the woods with their own eyes!

Honestly I could go on and on about every character! I have so many ideas about Slenderman and Zalgo and their relationship as well, but I dont want this post to be a zillion pages long hehe. I hope this small dump was at least somewhat interesting! :') ahaha

When you meet Sally Williams, you don't notice she's dead. Not until she turns around to face you. Sally will usually know of your presence before you're aware of hers. You'll probably hear her before you see her; the familiar, gentle flitter of laughter that rings like a school bell announcing recess. However, it's not until she speaks to you that you would realize the haunting, echoing chime of her spectral vocal chords. When Sally speaks, it's like her voice is bouncing around the walls of your skull, like you can't quite tell where its coming from even though her mouth is moving right in front of you.

If, for some reason, you don't hear her first, then you won't see her until she wants you to. Typically, she can be found in any of the common rooms of the manor. She's usually playing. She watches newbies from a distance, lurking in the corners of the manor and following you through the woods. Every other resident will say that Sally meticulously plans her first impressions with people. She may act innocent and sweet, but know that she can have a dark sense of humor.

I like to imagine that the reason why Tim and Brian are like usually portrayed as the "adults" (like usually years older in comparison to the rest of the creeps) is because it truly is super uncommon for humans to last so long doing work for the operator/slenderman.

Like hypothetically Tim and Brian could have known countless other Proxies before Toby or Kate or whoever but us as the audience don't because they're already dead.

Only the elite last.

So yeah! Not all of the creeps do live in the manor in my au. The Proxies in particular are not allowed to stay at the mansion with the other Creeps (I like to think this is a manipulation tactic from the Slenderman) So I might include Toby and the other Proxies later, but their living conditions are drastically different from those that are allowed to live in the manor!

The Collective AU by The Lady Oracle

Jeff

- As you approach Jeff's bedroom, you will notice the preamble of discoloration on the carpet and woodwork on the floor

- His door is splintered with stab marks, scratches and nics. At any given time you can probably expect to see at least one knife embedded in the destroyed door

- You can usually hear that you're getting close to Jeff's room before you see it

- When Jeff is home, his obscene music shakes the walls, and he plays his shows and movies at full volume. He has a complete disregard for anyone else who lives at the manor, and so I also imagine him always screaming and laughing and throwing things around his room constantly

- Jeff's room is always dark, no matter the time of day. He never has his windows open, and so the only lighting is due to the limited LED strips and the forbidden big light on the ceiling

- The furniture in Jeff's room can be boiled down to his mattress, a broken dresser, and a small desk. Anything else can hardly be considered furniture as it's usually torn apart or stolen from his victims houses

- I also like to imagine that he has an old beat up punching bag that is just falling apart at the seams. Like he's really gone in on this thing

- He has a lot of older technology as far as entertainment goes - old cassettes, VHS tapes, an old box TV, that sort of thing

- And you already know this mans room is a mess

- Dirty, bloodstained clothes are spread out across the floor of his room. Old dishes and bottles and cans are strewn about

- He uses his desk for a variety of his 'hobbies' which could mean a number of things....

- No one is allowed in his room - for everyone's benefit

Nina

- Nina's room is amongst one of the better kept living spaces in the manor, but only because when it's time for her to clean she shoves virtually everything under her bed and in her closet

- It always smells like some sweet Bath and Body Works fragrance. Like vanilla or strawberries

- I like to think Nina maximizes comfort in her room. Tons of pillows, blankets, a couple of different seating options. She's of course got a TON of stuffies

-I also imagine she has her own vanity, the kind that has lights. Maybe she has a couple stickers that she's slapped on it to cover some nics or scratches

- She has a little corkboard filled with Polaroids or little things that she deems important. There are ticket stubs, receipts, small doodles from Clocky, and photos of everyone she loves

-There used to be a lot more photos of Jeff, but now she only has one or two...the rest she's shoved in a shoebox in the depths of her closet or the void beneath her bed

- She of course has a bookshelf filled with all her diaries and scrapbooks

-She's also got a ton of snacks in her room

- Sleepovers would go so hard in here. Nina would make sure you're completely taken care of

Eyeless Jack

- EJs room can be described in few words; sterile, tidy, vacant

- There are a few scattered artifacts from his past life...a graduation certificate from high school, honors tassels, perhaps a couple of ribbons or awards for excellence...

- He still has one hoodie from his old college, and it's beaten to shit. He keeps it in his closet and wears it occasionally when he wants to feel normal

- He keeps his room so clean just because he's so used to doing so in his practice. Since he's the only medic in the manor that actually cares about keeping a sterile environment, he's just used to minding clutter in his daily life

- Not that he owns many things....

- There are scratch marks on his walls and around the rug near his bed. If you ask him about this he will refuse to elaborate, but you can probably figure this is from the occasional hunger pains

- He also doesn't spend a lot of time in here. Many nights he actually ends up crashing in the designated medic section of the manor

-If you asked to spend the night in his room...well you probably wouldn't even need to ask. Since he's not there most of the time you could probably get away with sleeping in there for a couple of nights without him knowing

-The only way he'd find out is if your scent lingered in his sheets
