Installation for artist Laddie John Dill exhibited at Themes & Projects Gallery part of the Minnesota Street Projects art collective in San Francisco. Exhibition: Contained Radiance: San Francisco

Glass sheets placed onto a wooden platform, precut with insets. 7 + tons of various sands and gravel to add texture and color to the sculpture was poured slowly onto the glass and prefabricated platform. 50 pound bags at a time. Glass tubing with argon gas is installed inside the wooden platform. The sand acts as a carrier for the light to reach the glass, pretty cool!
