Request: I actually had a imagine request for Mason Mount…where the reader works for him and they’ve always been fond of one another and one day she comes in wearing a guys jumper, it doesn’t fit her properly and it smells like a man. So Mason feels himself becoming jealous, when in reality it’s just her brothers jumper that she ended up wearing because she fell asleep at his babysitting his kids + @anon that asked me sth based on Mase's Nike shooting that got out out in august/september

A thing Mason promised himself he would have never done in his life was falling in love with someone that worked for him or that simply happened to cross his path for business reasons: he knew it would have been unprofessional but, most of all, he feared he would have ended up as the wronged party.

Another thing he knew deep down his heart was that promises are sometimes meant to be broken and the aforementioned one was one of those.

Since Y/N took on the role of his personal stylist she became the ever so present object of his thoughts as she charmed him since day one, when that shy smile of hers made him blush and ask for more, more moments of him in her company. 

He knew she had something special but didn't know what that was, he only knew it was something that made him feel relaxed, at peace with the world around him. It was as if she held an aura of calmness that was never enough for him as his engaged lifestyle required a lot of it.

Needless to say they got along instantly and, as he was one of the most appreciated footballers on the planet, she soon became one of the most envied women for spending so much time with him. That time they would spend together wasn’t related to fashion matters only but quickly spread to their spare time too: after their work for a magazine, Mason invited her over to his house to celebrate their first job together.

In the meanwhile, on her part, a small sentence he said to her like “I’d like you to always feel at ease when you’re around me, we don’t have to be friends if you don’t want to but I’d like you to be totally yourself” was what made her like him as soon as his brother Lewis introduced him to her. What he expressed was quite an easy concept not to be taken for granted as a lot of famous people would likely treat their employees as servants, making their business life miserable but that wasn't his case.

Everyone loved Mason for being a down to earth guy, a family guy that always had the most beautiful smile painted across his lips and that smile was the second thing that made her weak to her knees: it could light up a dark room faster than artificial light and warm her heart at the same speed.

The second time it was her turn so she asked him to join her in going to a club in the centre of Manchester. It was just the prelude of their game of looks, subtle and unintended touches, sweet words. All of that happened without them even realising it as it felt so spontaneous, so right.

The crucial moment in their professional as well as personal career was when the Red Devils player was asked to feature in the next Nike Underwear campaign as one of their latest posterboys.

“That’s huge, I can't believe it” She kept on saying in disbelief as he was in a delighted mood too. That was probably the biggest job she got until then and they were both buzzing.

“I’m sure all the girlies will love me even more after this shooting” You joked, alluding to the shirtless pictures of Mason that would soon reach every corner of planet Earth through the worldwide coverage they would have had.

He blushed a little and chuckled. “Yep and they’ll probably hate you a little too cause you’re stealing their place”

“Me?? I’m just doing what I’ve been hired for and just got you the biggest shooting to date”

“Yeah but don’t flatter yourself sweetheart”

Sweetheart? Y/N would have never thought of hearing that nickname coming from his mouth and above all, addressed to her. The shade of bright pink that painted her cheeks after that exchange of words, matched her geranium skirt and that combination didn’t go unnoticed to her client who smirked, quite pleased with what his sentence ignited in her.

They both gave each other knowing looks, a look that made Mason’s heart beat faster and Y/N’s legs shake.

The stylist cleared her throat with a fit of coughing before looking at the time on her phone screen, deciding it was time for her to go home before things would have gone out of your hands.

“Are you already going home?”

“Yes, I have erm - a friend over for dinner, yeah” She nodded as if she was trying to convince herself to buy her own lie. 

“Do I know her? Oh wait, is it your best friend?” The Englishman didn’t really care about her guest, he only wanted to spend a couple more minutes with her and make sure she wasn’t seeing any guy he would have to compete with.

“No no, you don’t know her…” She said dismissively, putting her bag on her shoulder.

“Is this mysterious friend a guy you haven’t told me about?” He said, crossing his hands and trying to sound as chilled as possible.

“Please! Not interested in any guy right now” Yeah, in any guy that wasn’t called Mason Mount. “Really have to go now, my house is a mess and she will be there in less than an hour… see you tomorrow, Mount, don’t be late cause we’ll check your Nike’s outfits out!”

“Don’t worry, I won’t…have fun tonight”

“Yep…thanks”

They almost whispered their goodbyes with a hint of sadness and delusion in their voices, as though neither of them wanted to leave each other nor wanted the other one to be left alone but the positions they were in forbid any kind of romantic relationship: it would have been too complicated and too risky.

The very risky thing though was the task she had to undertake the next day: some Nike people met Mason and Y/N at the sportswear brand’s headquarter in London and shared a quick chat to get to know each other better, before skipping to the part where they would explain the shooting they had in mind for Mason to be featured in.

She gulped the moment they showed them the underwear models they could have chosen among.

Y/N’s mind soon got crowded with not safe for work images, as the sight of the Manchester United player’s toned body covered only in a pair of tight boxers, smiling at her began getting more and more vivid.

She shook her head when the Mason in her mind bit on his lower lip and seductively brought his hands to his sides to take off the tiny piece of clothing covering his lower body.

“Are you okay?”

“Me? Oh yes, yes I’m so excited for this you have no idea” She laughed.

The people working with them smiled and left the room to do God’s knew what, leaving her and Mason alone.

He chuckled, lowering himself to her level so that his lips were close to her ear and whispered “Bet you’re more aroused than excited for this job”

You widen your eyes and hit him on the shoulder.

“I’m fully focused on my work, wasn’t thinking about anything vile”

“Even if you’re thinking about it that would be nothing wrong with it…I won’t tell anyone about your secret crush for me”

“Stop it! How old are you? 15??”

Mason giggled and swiftly pecked her cheek. “I love it when you get annoyed at me”

If someone would have seen that scene they would have thought they were a couple, a cute couple but sadly it wasn’t the truth and maybe would have never been…

Y/N arrived at work the day of the Nike shooting some minutes late and she entered the venue out of breath.

“Hi! Sorry everyone, stuck in traffic and it was horrible” She justified herself panting. What she just said was a white lie because she had nothing to do with London’s traffic: the night before her elder brother asked her to babysit his children because he had planned a night out with his wife and forgot to call someone to look after those two rascals that spent all the night shouting and running around the house.

She tried to say no when he asked her that favour, as she had a big day coming on but he said he really needed her help.

So she fell asleep on the sofa, after battling to put her nephews to bed, waking up just in time to go back home in a rush, begging her brother to give her a lift, and put on some knee-high boots that would have complimented that oversized grey jumper she borrowed from him to fight the coldness of the night.

Mason raised his eyebrows when he saw her, recognising immediately what she was wearing was a man’s jumper.

She styled it as if it was a dress and she looked so hot in his eyes but couldn’t stop thinking she must have spent the night with some man, that’s the reason why she was late.

The shooting went as planned: Mason looked genuinely flawless and sexy in that underwear, smiling at the camera and she kept on biting her lips as she couldn’t help thirsting over him as he looked nothing but hot ... that infatuation for him would have been the death of her.

She thanked that one person that asked for a little break because she needed a giant cup of coffee and some fresh air.

“You look good” Those were the first words she said to Mason that day.

“You too”

“No way, I look hideous as I’ve barely slept and arrived late on what’s the most important day in my career” She blurted annoyed at that, something unforgivable from her point of view.

The footballer started biting on his nails as he was clearly nervous and maybe needed some fresh air as well as she did.

“This…” The strong smell that tickled his nostrils interrupted him “...this smell, where does it come from?”

“Oh I think it’s my jumper” Y/N admitted shyly, referring to the garment that looked huge on her.

What Mason noticed made her blush, as if he caught her red-handed while doing something inappropriate and he glanced at her sideways, as if that inappropriate thing she did disappointed him somehow.

“It still smells like him...” She said under her breath but he still heard her and couldn’t help but widen his eyes in shock: in his head they’re perfect together, smiling and laughing every day, even subtly flirting so he thought she was single and he could go on courting her but now she’s wearing another man’s clothes? The poor man was confused to say the least.

“You told me you weren’t interested in any man…”

“And I’m not”

He raised his head and smiled quite relieved with the real explanation behind all of that.

“So why are you wearing another man’s jumper?”

“Oh god Mase, are you jealous?? This is my brother’s. He asked me to babysit his kids last night and took this because I was cold and in a rush so it was literally the first decent thing I’ve found”

“Oh well…I was ready to mock you for your walk of shame actually”

“No dear, you’re dying for me to tell you I haven't slept with anyone last night and now you’re joking only because you didn’t get angry” You giggled, offering him a cup of hot coffee.

“Can I take you out tonight?”

“Mason I- I don’t think that’d be a good idea, I mean we’re working together”

“I know that but I’ll do my best to keep things separated, I promise” He gave you puppy eyes, making you giggle.

“If you wanna try…”

“You don’t wanna try?”

Of course she wanted to, she'd been dying too…and she'd been dying to know what his lips tasted of too: she quickly glanced around to make sure all the people involved in the shooting were still out and unexpectedly kissed him, the coffee flavour on his lips mixing with her nude lipstick.

“Now go on posing, nothing happened!”

Nothing could swipe Mason’s smirk off his face as he brushed his thumb over his lips that now tasted like her.

“Yeah...nothing happened”

Mixing work and private life wasn’t something they were willing to do but sometimes breaking the rules has that forbidden charm that brings to one’s soul the highest of delights and that’s a risk worth taking.

I have a couple of scenes that I adore and they are actually from the same episode. It's episode 13 where they go on the later swim team trip. The iconic 'you can be afraid of anything but not my feelings for you. Be brave about it' moment and then the later scene where Pharm spots Teams hickey and Team looks so afronted where as Win licks his lips and looks so pleased with himself!

HiStory 3: Trapped (2019)

Jack and Zhao Zi my beloveds! Who can forget them.

They had some cracking moments. The first kiss, they crying on the steps, the random kidnapping and feeding your kidnap victim.

But one scene that always cracks me up is when Zhao Zi is putting up CCTV cameras at Tang Yi house and ends up feeling Jack up because he has a thing for muscles. (To be fair I'm pretty sure we would all like to do that to Andy Bian) They then both end up in the pool with Zhao Zi enraptured by Jack tight white T-Shirt (again I feel you boy)

HiStory 3: Make Our Days Count (2019)

Also known as the show that shall not be named

Two scenes I love.

Bo Xiangs' and Zhi Gangs' first time in the gym showers is one of the best sex scenes. You really feel the 'oh this is the right moment' feeling. And I like the build up, plus Bo Xiangs' stunned looking face at the fact it is happening

The second is when Bo Xiang's cousin decides to have the safe sex talk with Zhi Gang. Gets me every time. The awkwardness of it all, Zhi Gang realising what the talk is about, the sliding of the condoms across the counter and finally Bo Xiang hanging on to the window like a spider monkey!

He's Coming to Me (2019)

I don't know why but Thun's coming out scene in this show really hits me in the feels. Ohm is so baby here but he does such a good job. It's such a build up to this moment.

Also I had forgotton this was actually a short series with only 8 eps.

3 Will be Free (2019)

One of the few poly shows we have and honestly it's still a struggle to find them now so this show really was before it's time!

I think the kiss on the beach and hug is pretty iconic. I still see the gifts floating around now! In fact it was the easiest gif to find.

Advance Bravely (2017)

Do not come at me about this.

It's based on a BL and they got a lot through the censorship. It was so fucking gay. Someone really needs to let Gong Jun kiss some men! Plus well done to them for finding an actor that can make JunJun look small.

Anyway who can forget when Yuan Zong is at Xia Yao's having a shower and hears someone breaking in before he flings himself on top of Xia Yao in bed with a hand over his mouth. It was definitely a 'I hope this doesn't awaken anything in me' moment! Queue the slow motion fight in the rain while shirtless.

And whatever gay little moment this was. Actually I'm tempted to rewatch this disaster of a show!

Queer as Folk US (2000)

I was god damn obsessed with this show in the early 2000 after watching the original late 90's UK version.

I think that the first time Brian sees Justin is so fucking iconic it's unreal. The street lamp meet, the lighting, Darude Sandstorm playing. Fuck I can't hear that song to this day without thinking of this scene.

Shelter (2007)

Not a series but an excellent queer film.

Again of you've never watched it you should definitely give it ago.

Basically hard up guy gives up college to help raise his sisters kid. He reconnects with his best friends older brother who encourages him to live his life for himself while they fall in love.

The first kiss is tentative, yet casual. There is no immediate freak out, although that does kinda come later.

The Untamed (2019)

If you were running towards it, Monster Frankie'd either lure you into a game of tag away or drag you back.

He was both a guard dog and second big brother to you.

You were able to teach him high low chicka low and ribena!

Naturally, there were times when you squabbled.

With Monster Frankie, it’d typically end with him chasing you and you feeling makeshift security that in whichever direction he ran, you’d run the other...until he jumped over whatever centre chasm there was.

Other Frankie never got involved unless you bawled, which meant Monster Frankie would be sent to the time out room.

No matter whose fault it was.

With Other Frankie, it’s more general winding up; like taking an intentionally excessive bite of your food, so you would take some of those green papers with the old guys and numbers on that he was so infatuated with.

You didn’t know what they were used for, but they were special to him.

You’d even draw on them or make doves with them.

Other Frankie can't complain about the extra responsibility or the occasional annoyance since it's all he knows and to imagine a world without you, is simply impossible.

“I want to be just like you when I grow up!”

It was bittersweet being the role model.

Being moulded with a much more childlike functioning than him and Monster Frankie, you had a tendency to forget why you couldn't go in the big red pool, but could go in the blue one.

"What if we had a pool with ice cream instead of water?" you asked, a picture of scoops of sweet frozen flavour softening within the space of water presented nicely in your infantile brain.

Other Frankie encouraged your imagination,"That'd be a lot of ice cream, (Y/N)!"

"Or how about a tv that makes hot dogs whenever you sneeze?" you asked, the new hypothetical quickly kicking out the former into loss.

His ears perked slightly in amusement,"Interesting. Why sneeze, (Y/N)? Why not on command?"

"Because hot dogs always makes me feel better after I sneeze! And jelly." your grin was laced with innocence,"Why do we sneeze, Frankie?"

Ramblings on Lookism (Rare)pairs

Listen, I will ship almost ANYTHING if you can convince me.

Gun x Goo? Because I want to mention them again. YES. Hello? This just makes sense. I hate you, I love you, I'll kill you. If you're going to die then it will be by MY HANDS. Does it get any more romantic than this?

Gun x Daniel? The AO3 warning tags has got me swerving this pairing to be honest. However, I love the idea of these two as a cracky couple. Lots of opportunities for comedy and for Gun to pop up behind a trashcan and be like, "Hi, I was thinking about you."

Gun x Samuel? Lol. Sammy would NOT be able to keep up or hold Gun's attention. Maybe something casual until Sammy spirals and Gun nopes tf out.

Goo x Samuel? I actually think this has more legs than the Samuel x Gun pairing. Goo will be impressed with Samuel's moneymaking initiatives, and they will have a lot of unstable fun together. Secret friends with their secret kisses and activities?? Until Goo realises that Sammy is unhinged in a mentally traumatised way and not in a chaotin gremlin way like he is, then will also nope out.

Samuel x Jake? There's just so much sexual tension there. Please just kiss already (see pic above). Nothing like this pairing to bring out the worst in each other, and that's really saying something for Jakey. Could be end game if Samuel goes to therapy. Actually, Sammy in therapy would just be unstoppable. Period.

Sinu x Jake? Yep. These two green flags would be bringing out the best in each other. Insufferable martyrs though for Big Deal. God, can you just imagine how happy the Big Deal gang would be seeing these two get together?

Vasco x Jake? Huh. Never thought about it but 2 himbos? The funniest shenanigans. I do think the dynamic can get a little boring after a while without one half to anchor the other. Their flirting scenarios, however... Imagine Vasco getting all red faced and flustered with Jake's winks and one liners!

Vasco x Jace? The cutest, most supportive couple. You just know that Jace is going to be affectionately looking on at Vasco doing all his Himbo shit.

Eli x Crystal? Ehh. I need convincing. With Eli's latest character development and what I remember of Crystal, they would clash and not in a fun sexy way. Both seem too headstrong and bullheaded to get on well.

Crystal x Zoe? Like Vasco and Jace, these two would be really adorable together. Would both help each other out with their Lookist tendencies. Zoe's kindess would also help to soften Crystal up.

Zack x Johan? YES. Johan the tsundere with Zack the simp. Have you not seen what Zack has put himself through in the latest arc? Everything he's doing to bring his boy home? If we take Mira out the equation, this might as well be canon.

Vin x Zack? I could not see this at all until the latest arc and actually, these two have the funniest interactions. Vin brings out Zack's bastard side from the first few arcs. I bet they would have the most pissed off sex. Can't imagine it lasting for anything more than a casual fling though.

Vin x Mary? No. Absolutely not. Love their platonic friendship and how they are bffs more than anything. I'll be honest, if it was another writer I probably would not mind. But PTJ has trouble writing a female character with depth so. Nope. Can't be doing that to our queen.

Sally x Warren? Is this even a rarepair. Either way, meh. It's fine. If Sally was shown to have a personality, sure. These 2 can share the 1 braincell.

Daniel x Jay? They are a very cute pair, and I do like how Jay's feelings are canon. This feels very k-drama with the Chaebol falling for you.

Daniel Harem? No. I generally dislike most harem tropes, sorry.

And just throwing in Hobin Harem? Definitely not. As above. Especially because this makes me roll my eyes that it's PTJ living out his fantasies.

Lastly, clarifying that I'm not fetishising male x male pairings. When hardly any of the female characters are developed, it's hard for me to care about most het couples or fem x fem pairings.

last television show: surprising literally everyone it's not dr who! it was great rail restorations, which is a five-part doco hosted by peter snow and henry cole where they follow the restoration of four railway carriages. it's actually quite fascinating and it's on youtube as well if anyone would like

sweet/savoury/spicy?: I can for certain rule out sweet. savoury to me tastes bad as a word so even though I think I should be saying that I don't want to... and I'm not averse to spice either. actually it's kinda funny because my uncle tried to raise my cousins to like spicy things and they both hate spice now whilst neither of my parents tried and I ended up liking spicy things anyway. but yeah I think I'll go with savoury even if the taste of that word honestly makes me want to vomit

gonna talk about aaall the endings of armored core six a bit under the cut

i really do not know how i feel about alea iacta est? my hope going into NG++ was that i would feel like this ending was me taking control for myself and making my own decisions, but i honestly wound up feeling more like i was following orders in this one than liberator of rubicon, especially the more i got into it

okay just to make it clear this is about ALL THREE endings, especially the third one. i didn't know how to spoiler tag that it's about that without giving away that there are three

i don't think i can pick a favourite ending in this game at all... lemme talk through my feelings

fires of raven: jesus christ. i can't bring myself to pick this again on a subsequent playthrough just because turning your back on ayre feels so bad... but the FIGHTS in this ending. the CHARACTER RESOLUTIONS. by far my favourite ending for rusty (probably my favourite fight in the game), and i think my favourite like 'perpetuate the cycle' ending of any fromsoft game. at first i felt more like this was in line with frenzied flame or shura, but i reeaally don't think we will have burned all the coral. somebody will have to do this again. i don't know how to explain this but the moment i realised most that this was the ending where you're just letting the cycle continue and the world will go through this again, was seeing walter standing on the xylem in the liberator ending. there's something really 'sad old final boss in a fromsoft game' about how he's framed there - a husk of a man burning the world because it's the brightest tomorrow he can see. fucking love this ending but i could not possibly choose to replay it again

liberator of rubicon: i've mostly stuck to replaying individual missions, but if i do subsequent ng cycles this will be the ending i go with. i definitely don't think it's the best one - there's a lot to this one i don't like, like rusty's really weird shitty fate, the walter fight being way too easy, and the ending not really telling you much about humanity and coral's shared potential. i expected to learn more than i did playing this one, and i definitely got my wish in ng++ with the next ending but i still don't know what i actually think of this ending... depending on what you and ayre achieve, it's either my preferred end to the story or a fucking horrifying one. i can't bear to turn my back on ayre though and allmind honestly made me nervous in the next one, so for now it's probably actually the one i'm most likely to redo. snail's fight was so fucking funny too. god's most useless hater

alea iacta est: i just... don't know how i feel. like i said, i thought this would be the ending where i make my own decisions, but by the end i was just following orders from a new person compared to before, and this time i was more suspicious of them. this isn't to say i disliked the ending, but i think on reruns i would rather make a different decision than go with this again. i don't like missing the ibis fight or basically everyone just sort of dying offscreen, but unless you assume something similar could happen in the liberator ending i think this one has my favourite actual outcome of the lot, buuut i preferred how i felt choosing the liberator ending missions and doing the fights of the fires of raven

that's my thoughts for now! i cannot pick my favourite ending at all, but god this game is good

So, he was leaving her to do all the work. Rosalie bit her lip, in uncertainty and in anger, as she examined him, puzzling out his motives. Was he trying to make her feel wretched, again? Forcing her to act, so she condemned herself?

She said she’d been to therapy - and she had, extensively - but there was always going to be that little pit of self doubt in her stomach, no matter what. Especially with Astarion.

It felt selfish, given how immensely she’d failed him, to turn over the other parts of their relationship like fossils for examination. But one of the cruellest parts, about never getting to see things through to end, was never knowing what they truly could’ve been - what he would’ve wanted with her, in time. She didn’t know what he liked, and what he’d pretended to like.

Read myself for filth, commentary one: The first two paragraphs is how a person who can't write E-rated fics tries to write D/S undertones without writing enough spice to ever actually earn those tags. Never sure if I'm successful, but my god I could be a Level 7 rogue for the amount I dance around things and evade them.

So this is one of the few times Rose gets close to a good insight check, I guess bc the DC is lower than average! Astarion was trying to humiliate her, force her to admit she wanted him, force her to act on her own initiative rather than be 'seduced', meaning that she is culpable and cannot deny that fact later on. Wouldn't make sense for him to be lying about that, in fact it serves him and his purpose to make it very, very obvious, bc that makes it all the more embarrassing for her at her end.

Astarion does love her/want her, etc (that's what he's rolling deception on lmao). But he does also want her to condemn herself, it's a game. He wants to prove he has power over her, to prove she was wrong for abandoning him, and he's also testing her. He is making her physically uncomfortable, yet she's seemingly unable to resist or leave, regardless. He is also testing to see if she falls for the trap he sets for everyone: of deciding whether she is attracted to him enough to ignore all her other morals and constraints, and will thus place herself wilfully in danger.

As to the final two paragraphs - this Tav has some absolutely rock bottom self esteem, even if in this AU timeline she's kind of too powerful for that to serve her anymore, honestly. But another thing about getting an Evil Ending with a break up is that her relationship with Astarion was: Act 1 seduction: 'I successfully romanced him, oh no it turns out it was all an act', Act 2 'I don't think we should have sex anymore, idk if we ever will again': 'oh no, everything I did before now was making him uncomfortable and I never realised', then Act 3: turbo charged sex demon tells you you're worthless. So I feel like it makes sense for her to have a lot of self doubt around sex or intimacy with Astarion, bc she doesn't have any real knowledge of what the man she knew would've wanted - they never got to unpack what parts were an act and which parts weren't, and they crucially never got their graveyard resolution scene.

She has no belief that she ever correctly understood what he wanted or needed and so yeah. She'd be scared of getting it wrong again. What if he was doing all this just to turn around and tell her that she was never what he wanted at all?

She is also just... very attracted to him :') that makes a lot of people self-conscious in these kind of situations lmao

And yeah, I think that that kind of petty, insignificant insecurity carries a lot of guilt as well. I do think she's talked about it in therapy. Your boyfriend lost his soul while you watched... why would you obsess over whether the physical intimacy was good or not? That's cringe, and way down the list of priorities. But it's also a very human insecurity and she's fallible, so unfortunately it is there.

I’m not a fan of ending with angst but I have written a couple that end in death or a breakup usually because the character has been killed off. The most recent was won’t find the answer by staring at the stars.

Every so often. Got a bit more a few years ago but I’ve recently had an anon who’d acted as if I’d forced her to read the story under duress and she decided I had psychological problems. Absolute lol.

I’ve been told that I write great comedy one liners. That my writing isn’t cliched and the way I describe a character’s emotions and actions feels very real.

Extending dialogue for a long time is a struggle for me. I do well without much dialogue. Feels like a script and it seems wooden to me. And action. Can't write any action whatsoever.

I also have one on my palm from where it was cut by flaking paint (on the handrail of the same set of stairs!)

I think I'm missing some context, but I've been seeing a bit of controversy about the LU and LoZ fandom this past couple of days and I'm pretty sure that this issue comes from way back.

And I just want to say that most of the people that I've met in this fandom are so sweet and welcoming. Maybe I was just fortunate to interact with the right people, but I know for sure that those little interactions have been what makes me love this fandom so much. I think a healthy community is even more important than the source material when it comes to shape one's vision of a fandom, at least for me.

I must confess that I've been a lurker for most of the time that I've been here, mostly because my own fear of giving my opinion or asking questions that could seem dumb and not wanting to go out of my confort zone. That said, I couldn't have been more wrong.

If you are new to a fandom, and not just LU or LoZ, any fandom, or even if you've been here for a while and you are just a fellow lurker I want to tell you:

Don't be afraid of interacting with other people

Don't be afraid of giving your opinion

Don't be afraid to create

Don't be afraid to share

And don't be afraid of asking questions

I can't promise you that you won't encounter a jerk sometimes, but mostly you will find great people willing to share their own opinions and knowledge with you. Who knows, you might meet some of your greatest friends that way.

The interactions between people are what define the hearth of a comunity. And that's why I want you to always try to be polite and treat everyone with kindness first.

Don't impose your own headcanons to anyone, hell don't even impose canon, people love to create and go wild with their own imagination and if that makes them happy let them be happy.

You can always share your knowledge about the games, LU or whatever you want, but please do it politely. The other person might not realise that their take on a character or story is not canon or they might know and just want to ignore it. And that's alright too, at the end of the day we are here to have fun. You can share your own headcanons if you want.

If you don't like something or a person is just being straight rude, then you can always block them, you have all the right to do it. But please try to make sure you don't become the one that's rude with others without reason.

Also about the games, you don't have to have played to every game to interact with the fandom, you don't have to have played to any of them if you want. You can just have read the comic and that's totally fine, like I said earlier if you want to know about something just ask politely, really don't be afraid to ask. And to the people that answers please don't be rude about it. Most people don't have the money or the time to play every game, but that doesn't mean that they can't learn about them if they are interested.

Don't assume anything about anyone, for all you know you could be talking with a literal child that just found something that seems cool and is so excited to learn more about it or to share their own stuff with others. And how would they feel if the first reaction they got to their question or opinion was a negative one? And not just children, anyone who wanted to interact with a fandom and just got rude reactions would probably just want to go away and not even want to keep learning about the thing that had them so excited. So please, please always try to be mindful with others, you don't know their circunstances, kindness shoud always be tried first.

And mostly to new users but this goes to everyone, about taging no LU stuff as LU, please if you are not sure try to check the original tags before reblogging. It takes just a few seconds and is the best way to avoid confussion and innecesary arguments. On the other side, if you see someone misstaging let them know, but please do it politely, they might be new and not understand how the tagging works.

What I want to say with all of this is please always try to be kind, everyone has their own circunstances. Don't let issues like these that can be easily avoided rot the core of a beautiful comunity. You'll find some people that are just jerks, is unavoidable on any group of people, but don't let them make you become one of them, just block and keep living your life. Most people are sweet and great and it's a pity if you miss out on everything good just because a few idiots.

3. which three fics best represent your views about love / relationships?

(Got this question on two different asks so I'm going to copy paste what I'll say on both.)

Satisfaction for definite. Maybe because it's my favourite fic / pet project but I feel like across the various different relationships I portray (whether platonic, familial, romantic or otherwise).

Although I haven't written much of To Be Loved so far, that's also definitely going to end up being another one representing my views towards that. Maybe it's because I have so many ideas to do with Martel's relationships with the various other cast members and that some of her characteristics are based off of my own but I feel like that's also going to be one with those views presented.

Okay so I can't properly start publishing my third choice because it will be part of a prompt fill week for most of the early chapters. However the current nickname for it is the Heatwave-verse and it has my second most random polycule I've created (aside from the Lesbutches in Satisfaction). But I guarantee that will also end up being a good representation of my views on relationships.

6. make a sampler plate! which three fics should a first-time reader of yours read first?

Errrr that's a tough one because everyone has different tastes.

Solstice is fun (and I need to update it again soon) because I actually have a lot of it written. So that's one for the somewhat dark high fantasy queers featuring slowburn and twins being silly without realising one of them is dead (spoilers but not really).

Satisfaction (my darling, my beloved, my baby) for obvious reasons because it's my pet project fic and has a lot of my favourite things in it.

And then probably Tongues And Teeth which has been surprisingly pleasant to write (although not for the faint of heart - the amount of tags I added just out of anxiety is unbelievable).

I imagine the Exile and Revan dancing to it together and trying to collect their thoughts, while Malak is missing, everything is falling apart, the war is already underway, and the two of them begin to agitate knights and padawans to join the Republic in the war against the Mandalorians and also intend to find out what happened to Malak. TAG GAME: EIGHT SHOWS TO GET TO KNOW ME

I was tagged by @shutterbug-12 thank you !!! Weirdly we do share a show, how surprising 😁❤️

Here's a thing : I do not watch that many shows. Partly because I don't have time, partly because I am bad at watching shows because I need to be emotionally invested to get into them, and once I am ???? I can only watch that show in particular, on repeat. Yeah I'm a grown ass adult fight me.

Ripper Street : end all be all the best show on this list that is not at all in order of good from bad for real but this one tops everything. Period drama, awesome characters, delicate treatment of issues we are still struggling with nowadays with actually sometimes more decency from these 19th century Victorian men than 21st century people 🙃. Also misery misery misery feels and a fine dry humor that makes it the perfect match. Oh, and. Dead bodies and gore happens. Also there is something to the dialogue than I just absolutely love.

Daredevil (netflix) : of course this one has to be on the list, and I love it, and I love Matt and Karen and Foggy, and I wish S2 didn't exist. All this can coexist, you know (and I love Elektra and Elodie Yung she is absolutely NOT the problem). Please do not talk to me about She Hulk or the Disney reboot, thanks (gif to make people watch it, I like my men sad and guilty they can't save everyone and covered in blood, thank you). So yeah overall a show I love and have rewatched many times but nowadays... I feel kinda bad about it and it makes me sad.

Band of Brothers/The Pacific : you know me, you know why I like these shows (no it does not stop at "men in uniforms"). We did a rewatch of BoB recently and I think it's an easier watch than the Pacific, but I think I like the latter better even if everytime it makes me feel so bad. Anyway a gif of Webster because (hard to chose between him and Leckie I admit)

Doctor Who : just. Love it. Especially RDT era. Can't chose between 9 and 10 but the best is Jack Harkness

Good Omens : I need a rewatch. Just love it. I have nothing more to say, it's great.

Scrubs : probably one of these shows I shouldn't rewatch in case I cringe a little but when we first got together with Benj 11 years ago we just watched Scrubs on a loop. I don't especially like the characters but the show itself, which is kinda weird for me (except Dr Cox. I love him)

The Sandman : last show that blew my mind. Just love everything in it. Can't wait for S2. I had read some of the comics and loved it, too. Just realized that it's the second Neil Gaiman thing in this list (3 if we count that he wrote for Doctor Who lol) and I guess it says stuff about me too

Pushing Daisies : I have loved the contrast between the whole death thing and the colourful and happy sets and stuff. This show is cute and dark and funny and I love it and I need to rewatch too when I can. (Also? Tall cutie that meddles with the dead and bakes awesome pies? did I use Ned as a template for my OC without realising ??)

I don't think it counts as a show since it's an anime so it's a bonus but if you've been following me the last 6 months, you need to hear about Fullmetal Alchemist (Brotherhood but not necessarily excluding 03. At all. Just watch it back to back. That'll do it. I love both.) (Yeah oddly enough I'm not crazy about the title character there but about THEM and of course you must have noticed)

Pet Paper and pet lib magazine covers

So, I made a cover for @octopus-reactivated's Pet Paper. It's a double magazine – one side is for owners, and then you flip the magazine over for the side aimed at pets.

And then it got me thinking about Pet Lib advertising. I imagine they'd drop these magazines off in public, like at train stations and stuff (and in countries where Pets are illegal) – no contact details or anything, just to spread the word about WRU and the Pet industry. The WRU would attempt to suppress it but you can never get rid of these things entirely.

Prompt

Whumpee who escapes and returns to their team. They're happy to be back, hopeful for a good reunion, but their team doesn't react how they'd expect. Instead of a good reaction, the team immediately assumes Whumpee has betrayed them and beats them up, or hurts them in some other way.

Maybe information's gotten out while Whumpee was kidnapped. Maybe Whumpee has no scars or proof. Maybe Whumpee disappeared with no trace, or Whumper went to great lengths to make it look like they left of their own accord. Whatever the reason their team doesn't believe them when they say they're not a traitor.

So Whumpee escapes again, heavily injured, and ends up with Caretaker.

After a few months/years/whatever, their old teammates find out that they're not a traitor. Whether it's someone else or an accidental leak, they now need Whumpee for some reason. So they find them, and approach them to ask for their help, all apologetic (could be fake apologetic though). Caretaker's with Whumpee at the time.

From here, there's two options.

Whumpee considers their proposal, but Caretaker gets angry at the team. "You assumed Whumpee was a traitor, hurt them, without even considering that they might be innocent? They were on your team for years and you nearly killed them without even listening! Do you know what state they were in when they got to me? Do you know what happened while they were missing? No, you don't, because you just assumed they betrayed you without even checking!" etc

Whumpee gets angry. Caretaker obviously wouldn't be happy, but Whumpee... they're betrayed and angry and only now does their team think to check if they're actually a traitor? Only when they're needed does their team apologise? So Whumpee lays into them, shouting about how they trusted their team and thought they could finally relax, maybe they talk about their torture for the first time (or just the first time outside Caretaker). Perhaps their voice cracks at a point where they get very emotional. They thought they were safe, going home, and then they were beaten again. Maybe Whumper told them their team didn't care and they didn't believe them and then they were right.

Whichever option, the confrontation ends with the team being told to fuck off.

Vampire prompt

Human Whumpee is ill or injured with something that would've been fatal hundreds of years ago. Vampire Whumpee-turned-Caretaker, who hasn't been outside much in that time, doesn't realise that medicine's moved on enough to cure them.

Of course, they panic. They love Whumpee (whether platonically or romantically doesn't matter) and they're going to lose them! They can't lose them!

So Caretaker turns Whumpee. And they feel guilty, of course they do, for turning them into a creature that has to drink blood and can't die. But at least they're not dead, they console themself with. If Whumpee's angry at them for turning them without permission, at least they're alive to do so.

And then, when Whumpee recovers, they explain that, actually, they would've survived what happened. Medicine's far more advanced than it was the last time you checked, Caretaker.

And oh, the guilt then, as Whumpee struggles to adapt. Caretaker didn't have to turn them, they violated them. And now... Whumpee seems to be forgiving them? I mean it's fractious and that but they seem to have. Although Caretaker's pretty convinced that that's just because they're the only other vampire Whumpee knows, the only person who can help them adapt.

But are they even a person, if they'll do that to their best friend/lover/etc?

Royalty Whump Prompt

A young Prince/Princess Whumpee is captured and held to ransom by an enemy king. When their family won't pay the ransom, they're left in the dungeons to rot – maybe a finger's cut off, if Whumper wants to pretend to the family that Whumpee's dead.

Years later, soldiers from Whumpee's kingdom invade the castle they're being held in and rescue them. The soldiers aren't expecting to find a mute, traumatised, starving prisoner in the dungeons but they're not going to leave them there.

Nobody recognises Whumpee, but Whumpee recognises the crest, and maybe some of the older soldiers. And they definitely recognise their parents, the king and queen, when they return to the soldiers' home kingdom with them.

Their parents don't recognise them, though. And they don't even mention them during the victory speech about the evils of Whumper's kingdom they've taken over, which – Whumpee thought they might at least mention their name, y'know? Since Whumper kidnapped the oldest heir (king and queen had two children, although the younger was a baby when Whumpee was taken – maybe they have two again now, and Whumpee sees the newer kid as kind of a replacement).

Caretaker soldier tries to look after them, but it's clear something's wrong. What happens when they find out who Whumpee is? And how does Whumpee feel, having been pretty much erased from the kingdom?

Game ideas for whumpers, whumpees, and unsuspecting caretakers

CWs: Drinking games, brief mention of forced self-harm

Never Have I Ever. A group of Whumpers get together and talk about how they've whumped people. Alternatively, a group of Whumpees/former Whumpees drink about how they've been whumped (nevermind a group of Whumpees, even with only one this is also a great way for an unsuspecting Caretaker/Friend to find out about whump – "oh no-one will get this one, never have I ever been kidnapped– wtf Whumpee" as they chug their drink)

Strip poker, except each Whumper brings a Whumpee and they're the one who loses clothing. Potential for a non-competitive Whumper to lose on purpose to show off Whumpee.

Watch Whumpee through a camera in their cell and take a shot every time they scream etc.

Truth or Dare. On Whumper's turn, dare them to do something horrible to their Whumpee. On Whumpee's turn, force them to reveal a humiliating secret or dare them to do something to themself or another Whumpee. Or serve Whumper in some way. Really bad forfeits.

Russian Roulette. For obvious reasons.

Using your Whumpee as a bet in a card game.

Two Truths and a Lie. A good one for an unsuspecting Friend/Caretaker and a Whumpee who doesn't realise what they've gone through is wrong.

Bingo. Multiple Whumpers again. Instead of numbers, it's methods of whumping that they've used. Do they need proof that they've done all these things (with showing Whumpee's body or photos or whatever) or not?

Twister. Forcing Whumpee to hold positions, harsh punishments if they fall. Great for stress positions!

I'm sure there's more. But I can't think of any rn.
