This is it...
Hi my lovelies,
First off, I wanted to say thank you to everyone who's stuck around during what's been the worst year of my life. In two weeks, it'll be a whole year since my mother passed away, and your support during this time has been incredible - it means the world, and I'm so grateful that 16-year-old me (I think) decided to start this blog.
On that train of thought, it's been a long time since I started writing for Theo. I'll be 25 this year (*throws up*), and like many things, I've grown and changed, especially in this past year. My emotions and my attitudes have been all over the place, signing off from here one moment, and then promising to come back the next. The past year has been one of figuring out who I am, and that includes my interests.
Which is why I'm writing this. The truth its, 24-year-old me isn't really into the same things as 16-year-old me anymore, and I don't feel it would be fair (or true to my position as writer) to write for a character that I don't feel like I know anymore. You lot have always been so supportive of my interpretation of Theo, and I wouldn't want to let you down by continuing to write something that wouldn't be true to that.
So, with that, I'm officially calling it. I will no longer be writing on here. I've said it before, I know, but this time I mean it. I really do.
There will never be the words to describe what your love and support has meant to me, and what it continues to mean. Please know that I'm not deleting this blog, and that I'll always be around for chats and random questions or whatever shit you want to throw my way.
I'll be more active on my main blog @amooseinthebunker where I just reblog Supernatural stuff - although I am on a huge Norman Reedus binge at the moment so if anyone wants to talk to me about Daryl Dixon (I would give him my spleen), please do.
Or if you just want to talk about anything at all, I'm here.
I love all of you so so much.
Thank you for everything x

The first thing Stiles Stilinski says upon sprinting down the hallway to stop immediately in front of you, is, “Theo Raeken is going to kill us all again.”
The second thing Stiles tells you, without a single pause after the first nor one word of explanation, is, “And it’s all your fault.”
Stiles is prone to drama. He’s a lovely boy, sure, you’ve been his friend since you were a kid, and you’ve counted on him to save your life from the millions of dangers all living in the home you both call Beacon Hills, but you’ve learned to take pronouncements like these with a grain of salt.
So, instead of losing your mind with worry like you did the first dozen times Stiles approached you with yet another rumor of death and danger, you just smile, put the last of your books in your locker, and shut the door. Once you take a breath or two, you turn to face him at last.
“Good morning, Stiles,” you say pointedly, “How good to see you again. How was your weekend? Oh, you’re spouting off about another crazy theory? So good to hear! I know you’re going to tell it to me nicely, and you definitely won’t try to do something weird like blame me for it. That would be ridiculous, don’t you think?”
Stiles has the grace to look at least a little needled, but he still stands firm. “I’m not kidding, Y/N. We’re about to get hit by Hurricane Theo, Round Two, and when we’re all bloody, broken corpses, I’ll be having the last laugh.”
You frown. “I thought we would all be dead. How can you be laughing if we’re all bloody, broken corpses like you said?”
Stiles waves a hand irritably. “That’s why it would be the last laugh, idiot. I would rub it in your face then immediately pass away. Anyway, you’re not focusing.”
“I am focusing,” you argue, “I have been focusing on Theo Raeken for a while now. We all have.”
Stiles groans. “He’s going to try to topple our pack again, though. Look, I’ve been watching him for a while, and I know it. I can feel it. And I was right about him the first time, right? Even when you all doubted me, I was right. I’m going to be right again.”
As much as you’d like to have some snappy little comeback, you can’t deny that Stiles totally hit the nail on the head with Theo the first time around. Back when Theo Raeken returned to Beacon Hills for the first time in years, everyone in the McCall pack had been more than willing to welcome him with open arms. Only Stiles had second thoughts about the guy, and Stiles was proven right when Theo tried to kill Scott and take over the rest of you.
Now, though, you’re all aware of Theo’s twisted intentions. There’s no doubt in any of your minds that he’s still scheming, but for now, he’s been holding back. Nothing has happened to alert anyone’s suspicions more than usual, yet Stiles seems dead set in his latest theory.
You sigh and start to walk down the hallway, Stiles by your side. “Fine, then. What makes you think he’s going to pick today to attack?”
“Well, it might not be today,” Stiles admits. “Soon, though. This I promise. And I’m not just making stuff up, Y/N. He’s been acting differently. He even talked to me about it.”
You arch a brow. “You let Theo get close enough to talk?”
“Not willingly, but he wouldn’t leave me alone until I did,” Stiles grumbles.
You have to bite back a laugh. You can picture exactly how that conversation went– Stiles doggedly avoiding Theo as long as he could, Theo just a few paces behind until Stiles gave in and let him speak. Stiles hates Theo’s guts, which is understandable, considering Theo tried to murder his best friend, so whatever Theo had to say must have been important to risk Stiles’ wrath.
Now that you’re finally listening, though, Stiles is holding back the crucial information. He really is so dramatic when he wants to be, isn’t he?
You wave your hand irritably. “Alright, then. Get on with it. What did he say?”
Stiles huffs out a breath at getting rushed like this, but his face turns serious soon enough. “Well, that’s the thing. He wasn’t really telling me anything. In fact, the only thing he really did was ask me about you.”
A pause looms between you. You’re no wolf, but you swear you can hear every conversation happening up and down this hall, how the words echo in your head. It’s easier to pick apart everyone else’s idle chatter instead of comprehending what Stiles has just told you.
“He asked about me? That makes no sense. I’m human, Stiles. What would he want with me?”
Stiles swats you on the shoulder. “Hey, as, like, one of the only other humans here, we’ve got to be proud of ourselves. We have value. I don’t know why he asked, though. He didn’t mention pack stuff or anything. He just wanted to know how you were doing, if you were busy after school or something.”
Your eyes widen. “You don’t think he’s trying to kill me after we get out of class or something? What did you tell him?”
“I’m already a step ahead,” Stiles assures you. “I said you were totally busy and we wouldn’t let you near any of his traitorous pack without the rest of us there to keep you safe. He seems kind of put off by that, but he said that he wasn’t trying to kill you.”
“That’s exactly what someone who’s trying to kill me would say,” you point out.
“Tell me about it. I don’t think he’ll try anything today, at least not at school, but be careful, alright? Don’t go anywhere without one of us. I don’t like this.” Stiles says.
You shiver. “I don’t like it either.”
Theo’s attention never ends well. And, when the two of you turn a corner, you glance over your shoulder and see that someone else has taken your spot at your locker. He’s not trying to open it, just leaning against the metal. He raises a hand in greeting when he sees you looking. It’s Theo Raeken, and judging by the proud smile on his face, he knows exactly who you’re talking about.
You can’t focus throughout that class, nor the next. Theo Raeken is dangerous. He played all of you except Stiles like a fiddle the first time he was trying to kill Scott. What’s to stop him from trying to do it again? Or, worse, what’s to stop him from trying to do it to you?
You stop by your locker later that day. You had just managed to put the morning’s incident from your mind, but when you unlock the door to find a note pushed inside, it all comes rushing back. The paper inside carries no threats, but you still feel your blood run cold when you read it.
Meet me outside after the school day ends. T.R.
You show Scott and the others at lunch. None of them like it either. Scott agrees with Stiles in telling you to never go out alone, and certainly not to meet Theo like he asked. This has to be a trap. There’s no way it could be anything else.
You’re perfectly fine with that plan, but, as it turns out, it’s a little easier said than done. You end up staying a little while after class to ask a teacher a few questions about an upcoming exam, and when you emerge into the empty hallway once more, it occurs to you that you forgot to tell anyone that you were staying after. It’s not that any one of the pack would intentionally abandon you, especially not after the shift in Theo’s attention today, but they all would have assumed that someone else was with you, and left it at that.
Now, you’re wandering the school alone, listening to the sound of your footsteps echo off of the walls and wondering if he’s waiting for you somewhere. Your phone is in your hand, ready to text one of your friends to pick you up, but you don’t live far from school. It won’t take that long to get home, not if you hurry. You’re certain you can avoid him if you try.
Glancing around to make sure he’s not lingering by the door, you set out into the sunlight. Your footsteps are quick, hurrying around corners and down the sidewalk, but, as it turns out, not quick enough. Then again, how could you ever think you could outpace him? You’re human. Theo is a chimera. He could sprint down the length of your neighborhood in the time it takes you to blink.
You wait for the inevitable– claws in your throat, perhaps, or a knife in your back, something Theo-like and unavoidable, but he doesn’t kill you. Not yet. Instead, Theo Raeken walks next to you, tilts his head up to the blue afternoon sky, and says, “It’s a nice day out, isn’t it?”
You blink. Of all the ways you expected this encounter to end, talking to Theo about the weather was just about last on your list. “What?”
Theo shrugs. “It’s warm out. I don’t know.”
He still seems nice, which is weird, obviously. To be honest, this abrupt change in his usual demeanor is freaking you out more than if he’d just been his normal, scheming, threatening self. At least then you wouldn’t be waiting for the other shoe to drop.
“What do you want, Theo?” You ask at last. “Are you here to kill me or not?”
Theo glances over at you, looking genuinely surprised. “What are you talking about? I would never kill you. Y/N, I could never hurt you. You know that.”
He’s not entirely wrong. During his attempted toppling of the McCall pack, Scott nearly died, and many of you were injured, but Theo never touched so much as a hair on your head. Truth be told, back when he was still pretending to be good, you liked him a lot. He won you over fast, probably faster than he should have. Still, that was then, and this is now. You’re both on opposite sides of a war, and that sort of gulf cannot be easily crossed by anything. Least of all by you.
“Fine. Are you trying to use me to hurt the pack?”
Theo scoffs. “They’re trying to convince you to see the worst in me. I’m not surprised, to be honest. I’m not here to hurt you, Y/N, not in any way. I’m here because I want to take you on a date.”
You stop walking. This is absurd. You wait for him to start laughing or something, call an end to the joke, but he doesn’t. He just pauses by your side. “What time can I pick you up?” He continues, as if nothing has been said at all.
“Never,” you manage, “We’re not going on a date, Theo.”
He frowns. “Why not? If you’re busy this week, I can wait. It’s fine.”
“No, we can’t reschedule, because it’s not happening. You tried to murder Scott. You’re still trying to take over our pack. Why would I go on a date with you?”
Theo lifts a shoulder. “Because you like me. And don’t try to argue, Y/N, I know you do. You liked me well enough before I started moving forward with my plans.”
This, again, is a little closer to the truth than you’d like to admit. Theo was wonderful before he tried to murder everyone you hold dear. He was charming and funny. He partnered with you in class, he helped you study, he walked home with you after school. He was perfectly lovely until you burst into the Beacon Hills High School library one day to find him standing over Scott’s corpse.
“I might have, but that’s over now, Theo. I can’t love someone who tried to kill my friends. End of story.”
Theo shakes his head, brown hair flying around his eyes, which have taken on a glint almost akin to madness. “That’s the noble thing to do, sure, but you don’t have to be noble. We don’t have to be noble. It’s just you and me, Y/N. We don’t need any of them. Come on, you can’t tell me that you don’t want this.”
He says every word with such certainty that you know he believes it. You understand now why he was able to rally the other chimeras behind him, why even Liam was able to fall for his scheming. Theo is someone you want to believe. Always.
Always, even when you know better. Especially when you know better. You take a subtle step back, then two. “I can’t do this, Theo. Even if I went out with you, I’d be wondering if you were going to stab me in the back the entire time. I can’t trust you.”
His face falls. “But you want this. You want me.”
“I do,” you admit, “but that doesn’t make it right.”
He goes quiet. You wait for him to shout or swear or something like the monster you’ve been hearing so much about, but instead, he just looks towards where you were walking again. “Can I at least walk you home?”
You nod. “You remember where to go?”
“Of course,” he answers simply.
He could just recall where you live because you’re a part of the McCall pack and he needs a target. A second, calmer voice somewhere in the back of your head whispers that maybe, just maybe, it is because of you.
The walk back is quiet, but not terrible. You’re both thinking through a grave number of things. When you finally reach your house, Theo stops and faces you in front of the door. “Just–” he breaks off, then manages to finish it. “Think about it. If I were better, would you think about it?”
You let out a low breath. “Yes, Theo, I would.”
He almost smiles. “Goodbye, Y/N.”
“Goodbye, Theo,” you whisper back, and watch as he turns and leaves your house once more.
It will be a long time before you can trust him for sure. You have no doubt that he’s got something else up his sleeve. Theo Raeken doesn’t strike you as the kind to give up easily. But then again, that’s why you’re still thinking of him even after he disappears from sight. Maybe, just maybe, Theo will do good on what he asked of you. Maybe, if he was better, he would come back. Until then, you’ll watch, and you’ll wait, and perhaps one day, you’ll be able to say yes after all.

Theo-Revenge
A/N- Hey guys, I hope you’re having a good holiday, whatever you’re celebrating. I’m feeling the Christmas spirit a little differently this year, but I’ve been working on this one for a long time. It might not be your typical cozy holiday story, but I hope you enjoy it.
“Y/n! Come take a shot with me!”
As soon as you stepped through Lydia’s front door, you smiled.
Malia paid no mind to the cold wind rushing through the door as she strode over in shorts and a tank top. The only item of clothing on her body indicating it was winter was the fuzzy, red Santa hat she was wearing.
She grabbed your arm and yanked you toward the kitchen before you could even take your coat off, leaving the door to slam behind you.
You laughed. “Hold on!”
You barely had a chance to take in the decor before she was pulling you behind her.
Fake candle lamps lit the front of the house in every window. Tinsel and colorful, glowing
lights were wrapped around the banister of the staircase. You could even smell the pine from the live wreath hanging from the door.
Lydia’s parties were always extravagant, and this Christmas was clearly no exception.
When you stepped into the kitchen, she looked over her shoulder and smiled at you. She was leaning over one of the countertops, wearing a pair of elf ears tucked into her red curls. She was attempting to perfect a charcuterie board that already looked flawless.
“Jesus, Malia, let her breath before you get her drunk.”
“Well she’s gonna need it.”
“Wait, what?” you asked.
She never got the chance to answer, but you managed to catch the dirty look Lydia
flashed her. They knew something you didn’t.
“Why are you always going around slamming doors?” Stiles joked as he dug around in a large cooler on the floor.
He pulled a couple beers out, dripping icy water onto the floor. “It’s like you were raised in the woods or something.”
He grinned at Malia. She rolled her eyes, but caught the beer he tossed to her without complaint. “Thanks.”
“I think that was technically me who slammed the door,” you told him, deciding to brush off Malia’s earlier comment.
“You want one, Y/n?” he asked. He was also wearing a pair of elf ears.
“No thanks. I think I’ll take you up on that shot though.”
Malia grinned. “Yes!”
“You have to try the eggnog!” Lydia insisted.
Stiles groaned. “Aw, come on, Lydia. You know no one likes it.”
Lydia huffed and crossed her arms over her dress. “That’s actually not true. Scott’s drinking it right now. Right, Scott?”
“Scott just got a cup to be nice.”
Scott popped his head over the couch. He had been sitting on the sectional, in full view of the whole kitchen as Home Alone played quietly on the flat screen TV. Liam and Mason were sitting next to him, sporting their own Santa hats.
Sure enough, Scott was holding a bright red solo cup in his hand.
“Isn’t it good?” Lydia asked pointedly.
Scott let out a nervous laugh. His brown eyes were wide and guilty. “It’s, uh…better than last year’s.”
Stiles burst out laughing. Lydia huffed and turned back to the charcuterie board in a flurry of curls and sparkly fringe.
“I’ll try a cup,” you promised her.
She flashed you a grateful smile and gestured with the knife she had been cutting cheese with. “It’s in that punch bowl.”
You pulled off your coat, and tucked it into the hall closet. When you returned to the kitchen, Malia was waiting eagerly with two plastic shot glasses in her hand.
You eyed the amber colored liquid carefully, and then decided to pour yourself a cup of eggnog to wash it down with. Once you were ready, you tapped your shot against Malia’s and tossed it back.
You winced at the burn of the alcohol and quickly chased it down with the eggnog, grimacing at the taste.
“That was disgusting.”
“The whiskey?” Lydia asked hopefully.
“Both. Sorry Lyds.”
Deflated, she turned back to slicing up her block of gouda, muttering to herself. “There’s always next year.”
Stiles grinned and threw an arm around her shoulders. “That’s the spirit!”
“You do realize I’m holding a knife don’t you?”
You laughed at their banter as you followed Malia into the living room. She headed straight for the stereo, cranking the volume up.
“Dance with me!”
The rest of the night became a blur. You, Malia, and Lydia danced for what felt like hours. Even the boys joined you after a while, though everyone took a break when Stiles insisted on performing his own rendition of ‘Last Christmas’.
You took shot after shot and, eventually, you didn’t even mind the taste of Lydia’s spiked eggnog. She was so proud she nearly burst into tears. You didn’t have the heart to admit that you were so drunk you didn’t care anymore.
Right as Malia was managing to talk you into your sixth shot, Lydia’s doorbell rang. You glanced across the room, taking a mental tally of your friends. Everyone in the pack was there.
“Did we invite someone else?” you asked Stiles.
A strange look crossed his face. You couldn’t read it.
“Scott?”
The Alpha had never had the best poker face, and tonight was no exception. He looked guilty as hell.
“Guys, what’s going on?”
Liam and Mason shrugged. They looked just as clueless as you were.
“Malia?” you demanded.
“They said I couldn’t tell you!” she blurted.
Stiles hissed her name, but you never got the chance to ask her what she was talking about. Lydia walked back into the living room, casually gesturing toward the kitchen.
“If you want something to drink,” she was telling someone. “Eggnog and liquor are in there.”
Trailing behind her, looking sheepish, was Isaac Lahey. He was bundled up in a gray coat and a matching scarf that was tucked around his neck. His dark blonde curls weren’t even mussed from the wind. He looked as perfect as he always had, and the sight filled you with rage.
As if he could sense your anger, he looked toward you. He had the nerve to smile. “Hey, Y/n.”
Instead of saying all the insulting things that were hovering on the tip of your tongue, you simply shoved past the others and hurried down the hall.
This wasn’t happening. It couldn’t be.
It had taken you months to stop crying when Isaac had betrayed you and disappeared off to France when the pack needed him most. Now, over a year later, you felt like you were finally healing. Of course Isaac had to return and ruin that too.
“Y/n, wait!”
You paused in the middle of the hallway. Your gut was telling you to keep walking, but there was a small, wounded part of you that wanted to see what Isaac had to say.
“Just hear me out,” he begged. “Please?”
Before you had a chance to answer, he was already pulling you down the hall and into one of Lydia’s guest rooms. He shut the door behind you, muffling the sound of “Santa Baby” that was playing in the background.
You crossed your arms over your chest and glared at him bitterly. What could he possibly say that could make things right between the two of you?
“Listen. What happened with me and Allison…that wasn’t me.”
Your jaw dropped. You certainly hadn’t expected that.
“I was possessed by the Nogitsune,” he continued. “It made me do that on purpose. It knew it was going to ruin our relationship.”
You felt rage boiling up inside you. “Seriously? Okay, what’s your excuse for completely disappearing with Allison’s dad?”
“I was hurting-”
“You never even called!”
He stepped forward, grabbing both of your hands. “Y/n, I still love you. I’ve always loved you and I’m sorry. I’m so sorry for everything-”
You shook your head and jerked your hands out of his grasp. “Nope. No way. I’m not doing this with you.”
For over a year, you had ached for some kind of explanation, for an apology from Isaac. Now that it was coming out of his mouth (however half-assed it may have been), you realized it didn’t matter. You didn’t need one anymore.
When it came to your friends, though, that was an entirely different story. You couldn’t believe they had just sprung this on you.
You shoved open the guest room door and headed right for Lydia’s coat closet. You yanked the fabric off the hanger, not even bothering to shut the door behind you.
“Where are you going?” Isaac asked. “You’re drunk.”
“Anywhere but here,” you muttered.
You stalked down the hall, passing the living room on the way out. Everyone was staring at you. Aside from Liam and Mason, the guilt was plain on their faces.
“Fuck all of you!” you spat.
You turned away and walked toward the door, hurt that your friends had kept Isaac’s return from you.
You heard heels clicking on the tile behind you. Lydia was trying to follow you.
“What the hell?” you hissed, whirling around to face her. “You couldn’t have given me a head’s up?”
“If you knew he was going to be here, you would never have shown up,” she protested.
“You’re damn right.”
Lydia sighed. “Don’t you think it’s time you forgave him?”
“For cheating on me with Allison and then disappearing off to France? I think I have every right to never forgive him.”
When you turned, Lydia grabbed your wrist. “Y/n, you can’t drive like this!”
“I’m not going to!”
You jerked open the front door and stormed out, slamming it behind you.
You trudged down the icy sidewalk, still attempting to zip up your coat. The zipper was caught on the lining, and no matter how much you tried to force it up, it wouldn’t budge.
Your frustration was beginning to boil over. You couldn’t believe the entire pack had lied to you about Isaac’s return.
Tears began to slip from your eyes. You stubbornly wiped them away. Even though Lydia’s neighborhood was deserted, you didn’t want to take the chance of someone seeing you cry.
Despite your fears, no one seemed to notice as you stalked past countless multi-colored lights and obnoxious blow-up decorations. Everyone was inside their warm houses, celebrating Christmas Eve with their own friends and family.
Your vision began to blur slightly, and it occurred to you that maybe that fifth shot with Malia had been too much.
You kept walking until you were sure no one would follow you. The cold December air was stinging your face, but you were too stubborn to turn around and go back.
You knew you looked ridiculous, stumbling around in the cold, but at that point going back would have drawn more attention to yourself. At least out there, there was no one to see you.
You walked so far that you reached a part of Lydia’s neighborhood you didn’t recognize, even though you had been visiting her here for 12 years.
There was a playground about forty yards ahead with a small parking lot next to it. It was deserted, save for one black truck that didn’t seem to be running.
Just as you looked back toward the walkway, your legs flew out from under you. Your back slammed onto the cement, and you wheezed in pain.
When you felt the ground underneath you, it was slick and cold. You must have slipped on a patch of ice and gotten the wind knocked out of you.
Theo Raeken, who had been sleeping in the back of his truck, looked up when he heard your footsteps. He had parked in this neighborhood hoping to find a place to sleep without someone calling the police on him. When he looked out the back window and saw you stumbling around with your coat half-way unzipped, he began to think he had picked the wrong parking lot.
But as you trudged down the sidewalk, he realized you didn’t seem to notice him at all. You were probably too plastered to recognize his truck, but then why were you all alone?
Part of him wanted to get out and check on you, but he hesitated. No one in Scott’s pack liked him, and they certainly didn’t trust him. There was a pretty good chance you would spit in his face if he offered to help you.
As if the universe was making the choice for him, you suddenly slipped on a patch of ice. Theo watched you slam onto the ground with a violent thump, and he sighed.
It looked like he would try to be the good guy tonight.
You laid there on the ground for a few moments, unable to move until the breath came back into your lungs. It was a clear night in Beacon Hills, and the stars were shining brightly in the night sky.
Suddenly, the constellations above your head were replaced with a familiar face looming over yours. His dark brown hair had grown longer and shaggier, and he didn’t look as clean and polished as he once had, but you would recognize those piercing eyes anywhere.
“Theo?” you asked, your voice hoarse.
“Need a hand?”
You nodded, and he knelt next to you. Theo helped you up into a sitting position, examining the back of your head. You weren’t bleeding, which was a good sign.
He glanced down at your face, which was still flushed bright red. He could tell that it wasn't from the cold.
“Rough night?”
“You could say that.”
“Here,” he said, standing up and offering his hand. “Let me walk you back to wherever you came from.”
You snorted. “Hell no.”
“What? You don’t trust me?”
You raised an eyebrow. “Did you seriously just ask me that?”
“Alright,” he agreed. “I deserve that.”
You shook your head. “You’re not the problem. I’m not going back there.”
“To where?”
“To Lydia’s.”
“So what? You’re going to walk around here in the cold all night?”
“Maybe.” You crossed your arms stubbornly over your chest, still sitting in the patch of ice. “What are you doing out here?”
“Well, I was trying to sleep, until you fell on your ass and woke me up.”
You frowned, glancing over at his truck, which still wasn’t running. “Why are you sleeping out here in the cold?”
“Why do you think?” he asked. “I can’t exactly get a job or an apartment when I’ve been living in underground tunnels for the past ten years.”
“Oh.”
“Come on,” Theo insisted.
He reached out again, and you reluctantly took his hand. “Be caref-”
When you stood up, your boots hit the exact same patch of ice, sending you sliding again.
Luckily, Theo was there to catch you this time. His arm came around your waist, catching your body pulling you against him before you could fall.
He had pressed you against his chest so tightly that you could feel the heat emanating from his body. He was gazing down at you with those piercing blue-green eyes, and you swore you saw a hint of a smile on his lips.
Your heart was hammering in your chest, and it wasn’t from fear.
You cleared your throat. “Uh, thanks.”
“No problem.”
He let you go, easing you back onto the sidewalk.
“Let me take you back. It’s only going to get colder.”
You bristled. “No. I told you, I’m not going back there.”
“Why?” he asked. “You have a fight with Lydia or something?”
“I don’t want to talk about it,” you snapped. “I’m not going.”
Theo huffed and threw up his hands. “Fine. Sit out here and freeze then.”
“As if you actually care.”
You stalked away as your breath billowed out in front of you. Theo was right. It was getting colder by the minute.
You fumbled with your zipper as you headed in the opposite direction. Theo looked over his shoulder. You were struggling with your coat as you walked, and if he looked close enough, he could see tears slipping down your red cheeks. You  weren’t just drunk, there was clearly something wrong.
He sighed and then, against his better judgment, he turned and called out your name.
You paused. “What?”
“At least let me fix your jacket.” He jogged over.
You were too drunk to protest as he stepped closer, and you realized that you didn’t really want to. He felt so warm. You were briefly tempted to lean in and curl up against him, but you told yourself that was the alcohol talking.
Theo grabbed the zipper and fabric, and, in one smooth motion, pulled them apart without breaking them. Then, he zipped the coat all the way up to your chin and smoothed down the shoulders.
You stared up at him, a little shocked. The action was so tender. It was something you never would have expected from Theo.
“You don’t have to tell me why you won’t go back,” he began. “But at least come sit in the truck. It’s warmer.”
“Okay.”
When you followed Theo into his truck, he started his car and turned up the heat.
“You don’t have to turn it on just for me,” you told him.
“I’m cold too,” he promised, but you had a suspicion he was exaggerating for your sake.
You leaned back into his passenger seat. “Why are you being so nice?”
“I’m trying this new thing where I actually help people instead of hurting them.”
You smiled. “I think you’re doing pretty good.”
He looked over at you. He was smiling too.
“Do you want me to take you anywhere else?” he asked. “I can drive you home.”
You shook your head. “My keys are in Lydia’s house. I’m gonna have to go back there eventually, just not now.”
“Do you…wanna talk about it?”
You took a deep breath. “It’s kind of complicated.”
“I’ve got all night.”
You bit the inside of your cheek. Spilling your guts to Theo Raeken was something you weren’t keen on, but then again, he didn’t really have room to judge. You needed to open up to somebody, and it looked like it was going to have to be him.
You took a deep breath. “So I used to date this guy named Isaac…”
Theo sat there and listened as you explained the events from earlier that night.
Much to your surprise, he listened intently. He nodded along with what you were saying, sometimes raising an eyebrow or frowning, but he never interrupted you once.
When you were finished, he whistled.
“I don’t blame you for being angry. That guy sounds like an asshole…and that’s saying something coming from me.”
“And the worst part,” you continued softly. “He tried to tell me he still loved me.”
Theo raised an eyebrow. “Seriously?”
You nodded. “He said he loved me the entire time. Even when he kissed Allison…even when he left without telling me.”
Theo could see the tears welling in your eyes.
“You wanna believe it, don’t you?” he asked gently.
You nodded again, reaching up to wipe the tears off your cheeks. “Yeah I do, but…I think he’s lying. I mean, I’m not a werewolf, but I can tell.”
“No one who loves you would let you walk around in the cold, drunk and alone. He’s lying. And you don’t have to be a werewolf to see that.”
“Yeah,” you agreed softly. “I know.”
Theo let out a scoff. “What a dick. If that were me, I would have chased after you. I’d be running up and down the street looking for you, trying to prove it.”
You smiled. “That’s sweet.”
He shrugged. “It’s true. It’s what anyone who loves you would be doing.”
You nodded.
“Speaking of,” he continued. “Where’s Scott and his little band of heroes?”
You bit the inside of your cheek. It felt strange to be bad-mouthing your pack with Theo, but they were the only friends you had. It wasn’t like you had anyone else to talk to.
“They’re back at Lydia’s…partying with Isaac.”
“They knew he was coming and they didn’t tell you?”
You shook your head.
He snorted. “And they were surprised when you stomped out of there?”
“They think I should forgive him.”
Theo seemed thoughtful. “Would that make you feel better?”
You shrugged. “I don’t know.”
He shook his head, leaning back in the seat and throwing his arms behind his head. “You want my opinion?”
“I have a feeling you’re going to give it anyway.”
He rolled his eyes. Then, his face grew somber again.
“Forgiveness is overrated,” he told you softly. “Revenge is much more satisfying.”
“You’re saying I should get revenge?”
“No, I’m saying you don’t have to forgive him, not if you don’t want to. Sometimes you can’t. Sometimes there’s no good way to feel about something.”
You knew he was talking about the Dread Doctors. They had stolen him as a child, and manipulated him into killing his sister and becoming their monster.
You opened your mouth, but before you could say anything, Theo spoke. It looked like that would be a conversation for another day.
“I should get you home.”
“I think I’m sobering up-”
Before you could finish protesting, he waved you off. “I’ll run into Lydia’s and get your keys.”
You blinked. “You’d do that? But-”
“They already hate me,” he told you with a shrug. “I’m not worried about it.”
You briefly wondered why Theo was being so nice to you. Of course, it could have been a ploy to worm his way back into the pack, but he didn’t seem like he thought very highly of them anymore.
Maybe this was his attempt at trying to be human. That was something you could respect, and, after all, he had helped you up off the ice. He had listened when no one else seemed to care.
“You wanna come home with me?” you asked him suddenly.
Theo laughed. “I thought you said you were sobering up.”
“I am.” You rolled your eyes at him. “What?  You think I’m trying to invite you into bed with me?”
Theo grinned. “Are you offering?”
You smacked his shoulder, and he laughed. “You’re a fucking pig!”
“You know I can see you smiling, right?”
You glanced away, looking out the foggy window, suddenly feeling like the whole idea was silly. “I was going to offer you my spare room.”
Theo didn’t answer. You looked back, but he was no longer smiling anymore. He seemed more guarded than he had been all night.
“You don’t have to do that.”
“I know I don’t, but you’ve been keeping me warm. I’m not letting you freeze in your truck all night.”
“I’m fine.”
“Stay for one night,” you insisted. “Then we’ll be even.”
Theo studied you for a moment. He was clearly skeptical of your kindness.
“You’d be doing me a favor. I probably shouldn’t be driving anyway.”
You understood his hesitation, but you didn’t want him to be out there alone, especially around Christmas. There was also the fact that you didn’t want to return to an empty apartment and stew about Isaac’s return all night by yourself. Maybe your motives were partly selfish, but if Theo picked up on that, he didn’t seem to care.
“Alright. I’ll stay for tonight.”
He put the car into drive and pulled out of the parking lot. Though you had walked for what seemed like forever, he was pulling to a stop in Lydia’s driveway in about ten minutes.
“I’ll run in and get your keys.”
You glanced toward the house. It looked warm and inviting, glowing bright with all the multi-colored lights Lydia and her mother had strung up. You wanted more than anything to go back in there and enjoy the holiday cheer with everyone else, but you knew that wasn’t happening tonight. You were too angry.
Theo began to get out of the truck, but you called out to him.
“Wait, I want to come with you.”
He raised an eyebrow. “Why?”
“You said revenge is much more satisfying, right?”
His lips curled into a grin. “Yeah, I did.”
You walked up to the porch and instructed Theo to stay there and wait. When you walked back inside the house, Lydia, Scott and Isaac all rushed into the foyer.
“Y/n,” Lydia snapped. “What’s wrong with you? You scared the hell out of us!”
“Lydia,” Scott chastised. “We were just worried about you, Y/n.”
You ignored them as you grabbed your purse from where you had placed it in the coat closet.
When you began to turn away, Lydia grabbed your wrist. “You’re leaving again?
“You didn’t even come after me,” you pointed out. “So clearly you weren’t that worried.”
Lydia flushed. Scott looked down at his feet, and Isaac was standing there with a dumbfounded look, as usual.
“You can’t drive like that,” she said softly.
“I’m not the one driving.”
They all stared at you with a mixture of confusion and disappointment. Before they could ask any more questions, you were gone, slamming the front door behind you.
You remained there on the porch for a few seconds. Theo was waiting there, hands tucked into the pockets of his jacket. Once you were sure they were watching, you grabbed Theo by the collar and kissed him. He froze for a moment, surprised at the feel of your lips on his. He hadn’t expected that this was what you had in mind, but he wasn’t complaining.
He suddenly gripped your hips with an eagerness that startled you. His lips were warm
and hungry. He was kissing you like he was starving, but, then again, maybe he was. You weren’t the only one who had been alone for so long.
You gripped the soft flannel of his jacket, digging your nails in when he bit your bottom lip playfully. You suppressed the moan that was threatening to escape your mouth.
You and Theo were so lost in each other that, for a moment, you forgot your original plan. You were quickly reminded when you heard a low growl coming from behind Lydia’s door.
“Isaac, stop,” a voice warned.
You pulled away, breathless and a little stunned at the fervor Theo had shown when he kissed you. “Let’s go.”
He held open the passenger side door of the truck for you, and you were both silent as you got in the car. You refused to look at him until you were out of Lydia’s neighborhood. When you finally did, you saw that he was grinning.
“What?” you asked.
He looked over at you, raising an eyebrow. “You sure you’re not trying to invite me into bed with you?”
You laughed. “We’ll see how the rest of the night goes.”

Well, hi there...
Well, as the title of this post suggests, hi there (if anyone is actually still there)...
I said when I left that I’d probably pop in for random check-ins, so here’s the first of many months. How is everyone? What’s going on in your lives? Mine? Well, mine’s been nothing if not eventful.
Maybe I’ll start with the negatives and give you guys something to look forward to in the positives. About two months ago, I lost my other dog, who I miss so much. A month prior to that, my mum was also diagnosed with the dreaded C word in her brain and her lungs. We’re currently undergoing the treatment process and although we have a long road ahead of us, we’re trying to remain positive and carry on as best we can.
Okay, there’s that out of the way. Onto the positives.
I’ve been in my job for almost a year and I absolutely love it. I’m writing, creating content, meeting some amazing people and genuinely helping to make a difference in some people’s lives. I cannot wait to see what doors it opens!
Despite everything, I’m actually feeling okay most of the time. I have great friends and a fantastic family support network who have been so brilliant. I’m also getting back into writing my novel, so who knows? In a few years you might find a book in your local shop with my name on it...
I also saw Chase Atlantic in concert last week and still haven’t come off that high.
As I said, this is just a random check-in. I don’t know if I’m going back to writing on here just yet (well, maybe the occasional short addition to Hunting Season - if you know, you know). But please, if you’re still here, let me know how you are, let me know what you’ve been up to. I see notifications on my phone every day and the reception my stuff still gets blows me away,
Thanks for sticking with me, even if I’m not really here. I look forward to the asks!
Lots of love,
Me xxx

Lacrosse
Stuck in Beacon Hills after Liam Dunbar insisted he stay, Theo Raeken wants nothing more than to run. He joins Liam's lacrosse team in the hopes of becoming a nuisance, but instead, it just brings them closer together than Theo could ever imagine.

Theo Raeken is alive, surprisingly, and that leaves him with far less to do than he really expected. Theo always assumed that once the fighting stopped and his life was no longer in immediate danger, he’d just know what to do after that. You know, he’d live a normal life and that would be that. He would know how to exist like everyone else.
Theo is now freshly out of hell and he can confirm that he was wrong. Living is hard. You have to do it right. Decisions made in the thick of battle don’t have to be good, they just have to keep you alive long enough to make another one. Outside of a fight, though, everything matters.
Frankly, it’s a little disheartening. Theo figured he was capable enough to survive without anyone, but it looks like that might not be the case.
He’s not alone, though. Someone made sure of that. Someone stopped Theo from moving out of town despite his best efforts otherwise, and that someone would be Liam Dunbar.
Yeah, Theo can’t really believe that part. Despite the fact that Theo spent several months manipulating Liam into wanting to kill Scott McCall (and would have gotten away with it too, if it weren’t for you meddling kids), Liam still wants Theo here. Unhinged behavior.
Every other member of the McCall pack shares in that skepticism, but Liam is apparently unbothered by it. He decided that Theo would be staying, and seeing as Theo himself seems to have no say in the matter, he’ll be sticking around a little longer.
The problem is that Theo doesn’t want to stay in Beacon Hills, not really. This is the site of his great failure, his inability to topple the McCall pack like he’d been planning for so long. Even the sight of Liam is another reminder that Theo tried to make everything work according to his twisted schedule and just couldn’t do it.
At the end of the day, Liam Dunbar is– well, he’s Liam, and that encapsulates a whole hell of a lot more than Theo could ever adequately put into words. Liam flies off the handle at a moment’s notice. Liam alternates between being down in the dumps to raring to go with more frequency than a pendulum.
Liam also is the only one who checked to see where Theo was staying after the dust cleared. The only one who could be regularly counted on to watch Theo’s back as opposed to just leaving him high and dry in the middle of a fight. Theo isn’t sure how to respond to any of that, so he goes with his usual response:  blank apathy with a little bit of targeted aggression. It has yet to fail him.
The fact that he’s been all but ordered to stay put so Liam can keep an eye on him is incredibly frustrating. Theo wants nothing more than to leave this whole godawful town behind him, find another pack to torment and maybe succeed there. Liam only wants Theo here so he can feel some sort of protective bullshit. After all, Liam’s the one who ‘saved’ Theo from his dark side, maybe he feels called to keep Theo in line now.
Regardless, Theo doesn’t like it. Liam apparently wants him on the straight and narrow, which isn’t anywhere in line with Theo’s idea of a good time. Instead of putting his plotting skills to good use and actually succeeding, Theo has to do boring things, like go to class, do his homework, and otherwise live like Liam and the rest of the do-gooders in the McCall pack. What a nightmare.
The only foreseeable way Theo can get out of this is if Liam gets so sick of him that he finally relinquishes the noose he’s got around Theo’s throat. So, Theo launches his best plan of attack:  namely, being so infuriating that Liam kicks him out of Beacon Hills as soon as possible.
Theo is wonderful at being insufferable. He’s also very good at being adaptable. When constantly flirting with Liam’s ex, Hayden, doesn’t seem to be doing the trick, Theo switches tactics and goes after his friends instead. Suddenly, Mason and Corey can’t hang out because Theo desperately needs them for studying or something else. Liam is left alone with no one to blame for it but Theo.
Or, that’s how it should have gone, but instead Liam just grins and talks about how glad he is that Theo’s really fitting in with the rest of them. Impossible boy. Theo can’t even rely on the old classic of getting Stiles to suss out his obviously evil tactics because all of the pack members in Scott’s pack graduated earlier this year. It’s just Theo and Liam and the rest of the younger ones, and none of them are nearly as suspicious as Theo would like.
Out of sheer desperation, Theo focuses on the one thing Liam likes more than anything:  lacrosse. Theo still has the reflexes, speed, and strength of a werewolf, even if he left most of his chimera abilities behind in hell. All Theo has to do is run a few laps, do some pushups, and show off the fact that he’s obviously got anger issues, and the lacrosse coach is practically jumping up and down with delight.
Theo shows up to the first practice that afternoon, outpaces Liam every chance he gets even when it means he’s heaving for breath whenever the other boy’s back is turned. It’s worth it, seeing the competitive streak flare to life in Liam’s eyes when he realizes he’s finally met his match. Yes, Theo wants to scream, that’s what I’m talking about. Hate me. Hate me so much for beating you that you run me out of this town.
Theo’s never really cared much for lacrosse, but at this moment, he thinks he’ll play it until the day he dies. He gets to run for hours and charge into other people and knock them down so he can score and score and score, never ending, always up for one more round. Coach loves him. Liam grows more furious by the second. It’s everything he wanted.
At the end of the day, Theo has to snap his mind back to reality and remind himself that this isn’t why he joined the team, not that animal roar in his ears whenever he scores but to get out of here once and for all. Pushing Liam past his breaking point is all that matters.
Theo swears to himself that he’s only there to serve as a hindrance, to get under Liam’s skin in yet another way out of thousands, but something in his chest still sparks with approval when he gets his official school jersey for the first time. There’s a number on the back, his, and some voice inside asks if he’s ever had something just for him in so long. The rage, that was the doctors’; the guilt, that belonged to his sister; but whatever he does out on the field, that is his and no one else’s.
That gets harder and harder to remember as the days turn into weeks and the whole lacrosse thing keeps getting better. Theo plays as a part of the team, they face other schools and they win decisively, Theo makes sure of it. To hell if he’s an aggressive player, that’s how you win. Even when some of that rage is directed towards Liam instead. Besides, Coach has said that Theo and Liam can fight with each other all they want in practice so long as they turn that aggression towards the rival players when it’s game time, so isn’t that basically just a seal of approval for Theo to be Theo?
The best part is that he’s good at it. Really good at it. That goes beyond a werewolf’s enhanced athleticism– Theo was made for sports, or so he’s taken to thinking since putting on that jersey. The plays make sense to him, the strategies stick in his brain even when he’s dead tired but the game must go on. Theo likes lacrosse and lacrosse likes Theo. Easy as that.
Even Liam can admit it. He keeps doing this thing where he keeps treating Theo like his friend. Whenever Theo scores a good goal or Beacon Hills High wins a game, Liam goes up to Theo and slaps him on the back or gives him this one-armed hug around their lacrosse sticks that should be awkward but somehow isn’t. For this brief moment, it’s like Liam forgets who Theo is and what he stands for, that they’re just teammates who can celebrate together, joined together by the sheer force of that victory.
The moment always ends, though. Liam’s breath catches in his chest, Theo can hear the hesitation, and he steps away quickly as if nothing happened so they can go back to hating each other. The moment keeps getting pushed off, though. Every game it takes them more and more time to remember who they are.
That extra time gives Theo chances to notice things that he didn’t before. Liam’s good at lacrosse just like Theo is, they both have that same fire in their stomachs to go out there and do something well. They both stand side by side when it’s time to face off with the other team at the start of the match, like they know they could win the whole game even if it was just the two of them and the other team should be quite aware of it, too.
Also, Liam Dunbar laughs with his eyes closed. When he really means it, that is— nothing like that polite chuckle he’ll do when someone isn’t really being funny but standing there motionless in the face of a failing joke seems to be in poor taste. Theo has seen it a few times now.
The first thing he thought was that it was a weakness. Never close your eyes around anybody or you’ll get hit before you know it. The second realization hit him like a gut punch, because Liam probably knows that but does it around Theo anyway because Liam trusts him enough for that. To give Theo a chance to strike because he knows Theo won’t do it. To close his eyes when he’s laughing and let Theo smile back at him. Trusted. Protected. No longer a threat.
Theo has always been a threat. The thought that at some point over the past few months, that stopped being true, shakes him more than he cares to admit. Not everybody around here feels the same way, and every time Scott or Stiles comes around, they always bring back a fresh current of distrust against Theo, but Liam seems to have given up on that front.
Maybe Theo has given up too. He realizes that it’s been a while since he thought of leaving. Just the other day, he was talking absently about plans he was going to make a few months from now, plans that involved him staying here perhaps forever. Liam had been there (isn’t he always?) and grinned triumphantly when Theo mentioned that. Theo hadn’t understood it then, but he thinks he does now.
There is a lot to Liam that Theo didn’t notice, even beyond the physical. He does things to Theo that Theo can’t describe. Liam makes Theo nervous, but not like hunters-and-death nervous, something else. Something like a racing heart even when he should have cooled down after practice. Something like how every time they drive together or walk together or even stand side by side, Theo can’t stop his mind from spiraling into the thousand ways they might touch, accidentally or maybe– maybe even on purpose.
Theo feels that all he can do is look, and look, and look. Liam’s hair is longer now than when they first met, it gets in the other boy’s face until he irritably brushes it behind his ears only for it to fall back in place about ten minutes later. It’s dark usually, but when the sun is setting and the windows are rolled down in Theo’s truck, Theo swears Liam’s hair looks like pure gold.
Theo can’t stop looking. He thinks that it might be all he has ever wanted to do, look. They’re in a car driving home from practice and it’s a good thing that Liam is behind the wheel, because Theo probably would have crashed a dozen times from not keeping his eyes on the road.
This isn’t what Theo was supposed to do, and he knows it, so he turns to a distraction in the form of the only answer he seems to get right:  lacrosse. The championship game is coming up for the season, and Theo wants to win this one more than anything. He throws himself into training extra long, extra hard, anything to get this right. He needs this win more than breathing.
It almost works, that’s the best part. Theo loses all track of time and then he blinks and he’s there on the field, the night sky pitch black and the lights like stars forced down to earth. There’s a roaring in the stands that matches the triumphant yell building in his throat, and he realizes at last that he has done it.
God, he feels like a bullet ripped from a gun. Theo is soaring through the air, a crack of gunpowder in a shock of sound, and nothing in this world can tear him down. He won. He won. They all won, actually, and for some reason that distinction makes it better, not worse.
Theo spots Liam across the field and sprints over to him, not caring if he’s moving too fast for a human or not. Liam doesn’t see Theo immediately, too caught up in glancing around the stands like he’s looking for someone. Theo doesn’t like that in the slightest. Something in the back of his head screams that Theo is the only one Liam should be looking for, the only one that should matter in the entire damned world.
Then Liam glances up and sees Theo there before him and grins, this wide smile a bit too big for his face, so full of the same joy and passion that Theo feels right now. He almost wonders if that’s the chemosignals getting to him, both of them standing so close that their same happiness is reverberating through their bodies, building with every passing moment. It might be why he feels better than anything he’s ever felt before. It might be why he finally has the confidence to do something he’s been wanting to do for a very long time.
Liam is surprised when Theo kisses him, Theo can feel it like an electric shock against his skin. He isn’t angry, just surprised.
Theo breaks away, chest heaving, and Liam blinks up at him. “Hayden used to do that. Kiss me after games, I mean.”
Theo nods, jaw set. “Yeah, well, I’m doing it now.”
It doesn’t feel like Theo is encroaching upon some ancient tradition of Liam and his ex-girlfriend. Instead, it seems oddly as if Hayden herself is the outsider here, that Liam’s having brought her up is wrong somehow. The girl’s memory is a villain, and Liam turns a dark shade of scarlet not entirely unlike the tint of his jersey for having shattered their peace by saying her name.
Theo isn’t willing to let the moment be ruined, though, and he pulls Liam in again by the collar of his jersey. The maroon fabric twists in his fingers. It’ll turn out to be torn later, pierced by claws Theo doesn’t remember bringing out. He’s always had such good control over his supernatural tendencies. It’s just like Liam to ruin that for him.
This time, Liam kisses him back. It’s Theo’s turn to be surprised now, amazed by the force with which Liam tears down their walls.
“Easy,” he says, halfway to a laugh, “try not to break my teeth.”
“You’d deserve it,” Liam grumbles, but he’s grinning again by the time they reconnect.
There’s a shout across the field, someone calling their names. Belatedly, Theo remembers that they probably have to shake hands with the opposing team and take photos and whatnot. He says as much to Liam, who looks supremely unhappy to be interrupted in this way.
Theo isn’t bothered by it, though. Not much. Sure, the timing is inconvenient as hell, but there will be chances later:  after the game debrief, in the car driving home, all night and all the next day, plus the rest of the weekend. Kind of like forever, actually.
It occurs to Theo, as they’re walking back across the field, that finally– finally– he did something right. It feels very, very good.

Everything was finally coming to an end, or so you thought. You, Theo, Liam, Nolan, and your mom managed to knock down the guys with guns in their hands. You all looked at each other letting out a breath you didn’t know you were holding.
You finally thought it was over until you felt something hit your back. You should’ve known that Gabe would still be lurking around the halls trying to get the job finished. You didn’t even hear the blast of the gun as you fell on your knees.
“Y/n!” Your mom cried out as she ran to move you out of the way of the shooting bullets Gabe released.
There was now a ringing in your ears.
“Y/n, sweetheart stay with me now!” Your mom placed her hands on the wound that bled in your lower abdomen.
Theo got hit in the shoulder.
Nolan knocked out the last guy and Gabe managed to get himself shot in the chest. Three times. Now it was over.
“Wolfbane.” Liam stayed as yellow liquid oozed out. “We need to get it out of her system.” “It hurts mom…” Your breath slightly wavered.
“I know sweetie, but you have to stay with me now, okay?”
You muster all your energy to give her a slight nod. Your eyes became droopy by the second. “May I?” Theo butted in. Melissa hesitated but started moving to your left side keeping her hands on your stomach.
You winced shutting your eyes for a brief moment before reopening them.
He crouched down to meet your level. You looked at him wondering what he was going to do.
“It…hurts.” You breathed out. Theo then placed his hands on your arm.
You watched as black veins started forming. Going up in his arms. He shut his eyes enduring what you had just been feeling a second ago.
“Does it hurt anymore?” He spoke softly rubbing this thumb arm across your forearm.
You shook your head feeling a little bit of your energy come back but not all of it.
“You took…my pain.” You were surprised at what he did. You’ve never once seen Theo take away someone’s pain. He only gave it, but never once took it, until now.
“I guess I do care.” He chuckled slightly, referring back to what Mason told him back in the tunnels.
“Thank you, Theo.” You muttered.
You grabbed and pressed a kiss on top of his hand, some blood smearing on it. He responded with a small smile.
“No worries Y/n.” He gazed into your y/e/c eyes.
“Y/n I need to remove the bullet before it damages anything else.”
“Okay.” You huffed. Your chest rising and falling.
“Sweetheart this is going to hurt like a bitch.” Your mom informed you. You just gave a firm nod.
“Here goes nothing…” Your mom began digging her forefinger and thumb into the wound.
“Ahhh.” You growled out. Your eyes turned amber gold.
“Got it!” Your mom observed the bullet.
“Y/n can you let go of my arm now.” Theo squeaked.
“Sorry.” When you released the hold you had on his arm you saw your claw marks slowly heal. “I didn’t realize I was gripping that hard.” You sheepishly avoided his eyes.
“It’s fine, I healed.” Theo shrugged.
“You still in pain?” He gave you a once-over.
“A little…” You whispered.
“Let me.” He gave you a smirk.
He placed his hands on your arm again enduring any and all pain you were feeling. You felt the pain lift off your shoulders, but you felt a little too much pain reduce from your wound. Your gaze fell upon Theo’s face and watched as his face scrunched up.
“Theo I think that’s enough.” Melissa placed a hand on his shoulder.
“No, no I’m okay I can take it.”
“Theo I’m okay now. You can stop.” You leaned forward slightly to cup his cheek. “Theo don’t hurt yourself.”
He opened his eyes slowly to meet your worried ones.
“Do you have any pain left?” He muttered.
“How can I. You practically drained me all of it.” You light-heartedly chuckled.
“I guess I’m not used to taking someone’s pain away.”
“Can you two take us out of our misery and kiss already.” Liam rolled his eyes crossing his arms.
That made you both blush. You looked up and started leaning into him, he followed your actions. The moment your lips touched it felt like everything you’ve ever imagined it to be. It was gentle and perfect. Theo was perfect.
You pulled back and rested your head against his.
“I love this new Theo.” You smiled.
“Me too.” He laughed. You leaned in for another kiss. You both then pulled back smiling lovingly at each other.

It will get better
Character: Theo Raeken x male reader
Universe: Teen Wolf
Warnings: Sad, Happy ending
The nights were cold. Not even the warmth of a second body could get you through it, without any type of frozen limb. During the days, you two almost did not speak to one another. You blamed him for everything that had happened, and so does he.
You had a great family, loving parents, and three older brothers, who would’ve moved mountains for you. Now, your mother is dead, so are two of your brothers and your oldest brother, as well as your father, are in critical condition. To make things worse, you are the prime suspect for what happened, even though you weren’t near your home.
And everything happened when you first saw this guy, who looked like he just walked out of an Abercrombie and fitch photoshoot. His smile alone was more than enough to get you not only hooked but worship the floor he was walking upon.
Until the police called your phone, you weren’t even aware that something had happened to your family and your home. Bullet holes through your home almost killed your entire family in one swipe. You hadn’t known, why Theo wanted to get you out of the City, far away from everything. If you had known, you would’ve warned your family.
Now you do not have a place to stay, everyone outside of the supernatural horror believes you had something to do with it. Even though enough people were aware of the hunters all around the town. It was just easier to believe, you were the mastermind behind it, you guessed.
Since then, you left town with Theo, sleeping in his truck. Just as on this night, it was an especially cold one. You had parked in a small forest area because nobody wanted you anywhere else. For some reason, you did not want to be near him that night. You did not know why but still heard your gut feeling.
Theo was distraught by your actions, he always ever wanted for you to be safe. Maybe he could’ve done it differently, and protected your family as well. He hates himself for getting you into this mess but what is done is done. And he would do it all over again when it means to save his first and only love.
He could understand your pain, since the day his sister showed him what feelings really mean. You had a loving home a great family, with even he got along with, and such a prosperous future. Now everything seemed lost.
It still hurt him, when you did not cuddle with him this night and instead got into the backseats alone. Wrapped into a blanket. He did not have any problems, his werewolf blood kept him hot all night, but he knew you would be cold as you always were.
In the middle of the night, he heard your teeth rattle in an unwanted beat. He had it with you. Without a second thought, he jumped into the backseat with you, pulled you out of the blanket, pressed your back against his chest, and wrapped both of you back into the blanket.
You woke up just enough to hear him murmur, about how stubborn you are and how he hates, that you hate him. That he only wanted you to be safe and so on.
Before falling back asleep, you heard something that almost broke your heart, shattering it into a million pieces. „It will get better. You had nothing to do with it, and neither had I. If you let me, I will build a home for the two of us, just like I always dreamed of having with you.“
You did not know, how but you fell back asleep, in the same dream, Theo seemed to have with you. In a small cozy home, with a couple of children, maybe.
On this night, you snuggled closer to him, than ever before. He knew then that you had heard everything, but it was god damn time you did. „Just please love me again.“
In the morning, you could feel wetness in your clothes. As you turned your head a bit to see Theo’s angelic face, you saw it full of dried-up and even fresh tears. You wiped them away softly, before kissing his full lips, once.
Theo was awake in a matter of seconds, shocked by the warmth on his lips. But as he opened his eyes and saw you kissing him, he closed them again, to enjoy this rare moment.
As you pulled away, a low whine broke out of Theo’s throat destroying his bad boy persona once and for all. „We should talk,“ you simply stated, with a small smile. It was everything he ever wanted to hear. He immediately engulfed you in his massive arms, holding you close to him, just in hopes, that you would never leave him.
You hadn’t realized, that you had hurt him so badly, by ignoring him. Yes, he did not think through what he did, but he still did it out of love and neither of you knows if it would've had any difference from the outcome if he had warned you or your family. As you know them, nothing would've changed. They were just as stubborn as you were.
But maybe, you two could air the bad thoughts out and come closer together. Because in the end, it will be better.

YOU’D THINK THAT ANY GIRL would step up from the aching heartbreak that they feel because of a boy.
mostly, because a lot of girls don’t let boys define them.
and that’s what [y/n] stilinski was.
she was a badass, independent girl that fought for everything that she had ever gotten.
that included theo raeken.
you see, theo was not an ordinary boy. no, he was nothing close to being ordinary. he was special.
at least, that’s how she saw him.
sure, he did some very terrible things that could not be forgiven easily, or even, ever.
and she wasn’t blind towards the heartless things he had done.
nor did she turn a blind eye towards the certain corrupted boy’s behavior.
in fact, she always pointed out his wrongs and lectured him to be better.
she did exactly that because she always believed that he was a good person deep down — even when he betrayed malia and braeden, or when he got into liam’s head, or killed scott, or when he messed up lydia so bad that she was practically comatose. or many of the other awful things he’d done.
maybe, she seemed too naive or blind, but she was the type of person to always believe in the best of everyone — even someone as corrupted as theo, or someone as crazy and vengeful as peter hale.
it didn’t matter what anyone had done, she still believed in them.
she was taught to be that way and it was one of the many reasons theo fell for her.
when the two of them first met, it was almost like love at first sight.
the moment he layed his eyes on her, he knew he wanted her — he needed her.
although, stiles didn’t make him feel very welcome from the beginning, since he was too suspicious of him.
this didn’t matter to [y/n] as her twin was always suspicious of people, even people who weren’t the enemy.
like how he treated isaac lahey, her best friend.
he had known isaac since they were kids, yet he still stayed suspicious of him.
theo — at first — thought he just wanted [y/n] sexually.
but, the more he got to know her — as someone that didn’t fall for his tricks so easily and who believed of the best in everyone — he realized he was more than just sexually attracted to her.
he liked her — a lot.
so then, he tried to get to know her as she tried to get to know him as the real theo — the one that wasn’t smug and cold-hearted.
and because of how her brother acted towards theo in the beginning, the two began dating behind his back.
and it was all perfect — two love-sick teenagers falling hard for each other.
until, she found out who he really was.
but, even then, she was still on his side.
even when he did terrible things to her friends.
she had to believe that he was good, or their entire relationship was a waste.
that was something she could never ever really admit or believe.
so, when kira sent him to hell with his sister during the whole beast ordeal, [y/n] not only broke down into lydia’s arms, but she also felt her entire heart shatter as theo exclaimed her name in fear and despair.
during that entire year, it was complete hell for her — she saw and remembered him every where.
it hurt her even worse when all of her friends completely pitied her for the pain she felt over theo — even when he brought so much pain and suffering on every single one of them.
it killed her, knowing how pathetic she was being.
she felt that she’d betrayed them — feeling the pain of losing the one that hurt them all.
so, after months of self-reflection, she acted as if she was fine around her friends and family, but cried when she was alone.
it worked after a few weeks — the pack dropped the conversation of theo and moved on.
but, [y/n] stayed in the past.
the same depressed thoughts that she’d felt for the entire year, courses through her body in the present, as she stands in front of her desk.
all the gifts theo gave her before he was sent to hell, are sitting on her desk.
she inhales deeply, trying to keep the fresh new tears from escaping her teary eyes.
but, it’s no use, because every single gift brings back flashes of memories with theo.
and the tears finally escape, causing her to yell out in frustration.
quiet sobs leave her body, before she runs to the master bathroom, slamming the door shut behind her.
she turns the light on and quickly strips out of her clothes, almost ripping them apart, before jumping into the shower as she turns it on and pushes herself to the floor.
she holds her body as the sobs finally, completely leave her body with no hesitation.
it’s almost an hour before she finally gets the guts to get out of the shower.
her voice is almost completely gone from crying and screaming in frustration.
thankfully, her father is working late at the sheriff’s station and stiles is hanging out with most of the pack — something she hasn’t done in a while.
walking over to her night stand, after having changed into something comfy and throwing her hair into a quick, messy bun, she grabs her phone, seeing a voicemail from liam.
why would liam leave her a voicemail? they aren’t even that close.
“hey, [y/n]. uh, i know we’re not very close and scott or stiles would probably be a better option to call you about this. but, you need to get to scott’s right now. there’s something you’re gonna want to see for yourself.”
—————
“WHERE’S [Y/N]?” THEO ASKS FRANTICALLY, eyes drifting between scott and stiles.
“why? so you can hurt her again?” stiles spats out sarcastically, trying to keep his cool.
“i never was going to hurt her. stiles, i know it may be hard to believe and i get it if you still don’t, but i love her. i have since i met her, i just didn’t know it right away.” theo states seriously, tears brimming his blue orbs at the thought of the girl he lost.
“yeah, right. we all know that you just found interest in her, so that you could get to scott. i mean, come on! scott is her best friend. you had to have known that and that’s the real reason you chose to get close to her!” stiles exclaims, stepping closer to the chimera.
“no! i really loved her. she knew about everything i did and even though she never agreed with the things i did, she still chose to believe in me. and after all that, i wanted to be good for her. i wanted to change! just ask liam or scott to listen to my heartbeat. i swear, i’m telling the truth this time.” he yells back, looking to scott.
“he’s telling the truth.” scott states, a troubled look on his face as stiles sighs.
“or he’s just really good at lying. how many things has he lied and gotten away with it by controlling his heartbeat?” stiles questions, still not believing the words coming out of theo’s mouth.
“look, i can’t force you to believe me. but, i don’t need to prove my love for your sister to you. i just need to talk to her. please.” he begs, his eyes pleading with stiles’ angry eyes.
“no—”
“fine—”
both stiles and scott speak at the same time.
stiles turns to his best friend in confusion and questioning. “what the hell, scott!”
“look, i don’t trust him either. but, we need to face the facts. we need his help with what’s going on right now. and i think i’ve always known how theo and [y/n] felt about each other. so, i know that he’s telling the truth. besides, she may act like she’s fine, but everyone here knows she’s pretending to be over theo because she thinks she betrayed us. she feels guilty for loving someone who hurt us all. but, that’s the thing, she shouldn’t have to suffer because we deserve to be happy. what happened to her deserving happiness? she deserves to be happy just as much as we do. and if being with theo means that, then we need to let her be with him.” scott admits as stiles sighs and turns back towards theo, glaring daggers at him.
“guys, what’s so important that liam had to call me so late for—” [y/n] calls out as she walks inside the kitchen. though, she cuts herself off, freezing in place as she sees something — or rather someone standing before her.
“th—theo?” she says in barely a whisper, tears making their way to her eyes for the second time that night.
“yeah, it’s me. it’s me, i swear.” he says in a small voice, his eyes watching her closely, wondering how she’s going to react.
the tears finally fall as she runs up to him, pulling him down for an emotional and passionate kiss.
he stays frozen for a second, not being able to understand that he’s with his girl and able to touch her for real this time.
sighing, he gently kisses her back, his heart swelling with butterflies.
“are you okay?” she asks, eyes tearing up at the thought of him suffering for a year as she pulls away from him.
“yeah, now that you’re here.” he says, smiling down at her.
“good. now don’t ever leave me again, asshole.” she says, her tone changing as she slaps him across the face.
theo stands shocked for a second, before he sighs.
“never again. i promise.” he says, pulling her in for a hug, feeling so happy that she’s finally in his arms again.

Maybe a Theo Raeken x Male Reader? Where Theo likes the reader, but he's nervous to ask him out on a date because he's never dated another guy before. He realizes he has to do it soon because a guy starts flirting with the reader and getting reciprocated by him. I really liked your fanfics and I plan to request many more~
Tumblr media
Nervous - Theo Raeken x Male Reader
A/N: I hope this is what you wanted, let me know what you think and I hope you like it and I'm glad you enjoy my fics 💖
Theo stood by his locker with the rest of the pack, hearing Stiles ramble on about the suspicious murder case his father was investigating, but he was busy focusing on someone else. A few metres away, Y/n was at his locker switching books for his next lesson while talking to a girl from his class. Y/n was busying talking to Jess both laughing, before Y/n turned his attention to his locker again. “You know, Theo has been looking at you for quite some time now.” Jess informed Y/n causing him to blush.
Y/n looked around and found Theo’s eyes, he smiled before giving him a shy wave. Theo’s face formed a smile back and he gave a wave back, Y/n shut his locker and walked to his next class with blush coated cheeks. Theo still stood staring at where Y/n was. “Theo!” a voice spoke pulling Theo out of his dazed state, his eyes returning to the pack who were looking at him. “You okay, dude?” Scott asked, worried as he placed his hand on Theo’s shoulder.
“He’s fine, he was just busy Y/n-watching per usual.” Lydia revealed, smirking, fully aware of Theo’s crush on the boy. “It’s true, you can smell the attraction. It’s suffocating.” Malia confirmed, smelling Theo’s emotions. Theo rolled his eyes, not responding, attempting to walk to his lesson before being stopped by Scott. “Hey, is it true? You like Y/n?” the alpha asked. “Yes! Okay, it’s true.” Theo sighed.
“So, why don’t you just tell him you like him and then ask him out? Problem solved.” Stiles remarked, sarcastically. “You make it sound so easy, but I've never dated a guy before...” Theo trails off before entering his next class bumping into someone. “Sorry, I didn’t see you coming.” Y/n rambled before looking up and meeting Theo’s eyes causing a smile to spread on his face. “Oh, hi Theo.” Y/n greeted “H-Hey Y/n, uhm…how are you?” Theo asked, with a nervous smile.
“I’m doing great besides being swamped with homework but nothing we can do.” Y/n shrugged, “How are you doing?” he asked back. Theo nodded his head before answering, “I totally get that, and I’m good except I have a feeling the English test tomorrow is gonna be the death of me.” Theo replied as they moved over to Y/n’s table, “I could help you, maybe like a study date in the library after school?” Y/n offered, shyly. Theo’s smile grew as he nodded his head accepting the invitation.
They continued talking for a bit before the teacher came inside and went on with the lesson. Theo sat with the pack at lunch as they all started talking before the topic of Y/n came up. “We’re having a study date in the library after school.” Theo said, “Okay, well that’s good right? I mean it’s kind of a date?” Scott spoke. “No, a study date is not a date especially when it’s happening at school.” Lydia disagreed, shaking her head.
“Well you might wanna ask him out soon before someone else does.” Liam announces, his attention fixed on Y/n’s table more specifically on Greenberg who was flirting with Y/n. Theo fixed his sight and hearing on the pair, “Hey Y/n, you look great today.” Greenberg complemented with a flirtatious smile. Theo’s grip on his lunch tray tightened, claws penetrating the plastic. “Thanks Greenberg, you look good yourself, how’s lacrosse goin?” Y/n returned, with a cute smile.
“Lacrosse is pretty good. I have a feeling Coach will put me in the First Line, maybe you should come and watch the game on Saturday.” Greenberg invited, trying to score himself a date. Y/n nodded “Maybe I will.” he said. Greenberg gave him a wink, causing Y/n to playfully roll his eyes, before walking back to his own table as Y/n returned to the conversation he was having with Jess.
Theo watched the scene, his lunch tray was bent in a horrible shape, his eyes were glowing yellow and his breathing was deep while releasing a small growl. “Theo, relax.” Scott spoke, trying to calm him down. “Looks like you’re running out of time, Theo. If you don’t do something, Y/n and Greenberg will frolicking off into the sunset. Tick-tock goes the gym clock.” Lydia sassed.
After school, Theo enters the library and finds Y/n already there, his table occupied by notes, a laptop and books. “Hey, ready to start?” Theo asks as he approaches the table, setting his bag down. Y/n nods, giving him a smile and gesturing for Theo to sit next to him before Y/n starts their session by explaining Themes in their English novel. Theo and Y/n left the library because it was closing and now they were on their way to Y/n’s house. “You know you didn’t have to walk me home, right?” Y/n asked.
“I know but you never what goes a bump in the night. And it’s not like I have any place to be.” Theo assured, although this wasn’t true he was missing a pack meeting but alone time with Y/n was worth it. “Well then, I guess having a bit of protection wouldn’t hurt.” Y/n said as his house was now in sight. “I saw what happened at lunch with Greenburg.” Theo mentioned, Y/n nodded his head, ushering him to continue.
They reached Y/n’s porch, “He was wrong, you don’t look great today. I think you look breathtaking everyday.” Theo complemented with a nervous smile, stuffing his hands in his pockets. “Thank you, Theo” Y/n thanked, with a blush tinting it’s way on his cheeks. They reached the door where they both stood smiling at each other, “So, I was wondering – if you want you don’t have to say yes – if you possibly wanted to go on a date with me sometime?” Theo asked, as his hand moved to grip the back of his neck.
"A date?" Y/n questioned, Theo nodded but looked down and waved his hand, "It's okay if you don't want to..." he rambled, "No! I would love to go on a date with you. I just didn't know you liked guys too." Y/n explained, interrupting him. "Well, technically you're the first guy I like." Theo admitted with a shy smile, a blush coating his cheeks. "Well that's good to know." Y/n commented before he leaned and gave Theo a kiss on the cheek.

In that case, could I please request one TW ship?
I'm a bisexual girl, so if you wouldn't mind both pairings - with boy and a girl.
When it comes to physical description, I have dyed, vibrantly red hair and blue-grey eyes. People tend to not notice me, given I'm barely 5'1", but if they do such mistake, they are sorry soon enough because what I lack in height I easily make up by attitude.
I usually make being bisexual and short my whole personality, but my God(ess)-complex has enough influence over my behaviour. Out of my other traits, only few are worth mentioning: I'm extremely stubborn, sassy, but loyal to fault. I easily hold grudges (I usually quickly forget those...). Just ideal combination of INTP and Leo with moon Sagittarius and ascendant in Pisces...
I don't usually participate in any kind of physical activity, but I'll make an exception if it involves dancing, horse riding or archery.
Thank you so much! ♥️❤♥️❤
For a boy, I ship you with Theo.
When he first met you, your stubborness and attitude annoyed the hell out of him, but he still found himself drawn to you. Other than Stiles, you were the only person to call him out on his bullshit. He finds it hilarious that your big personality seems to make up for your lack of height.
Theo doesn't know much about horse riding or archery, but he loves to take you out dancing.
For a girl, I would ship you with Erica.
It's a never-ending sass fest between the two of you, but she pushes your buttons in all the right ways. Before she was a werewolf, Erica didn't have as much confidence, so she admires that you have it even without the supernatural abilities.
She loves spending time on you and your passions, but she's not sure about horses. They kind of freak her out if she's being honest, but she does love to dance with you. The two of you are a true power couple.

Sneaking out of one’s house in the dead of night is already a difficult task. Factor in the fact that the adults in the building all have supernatural hearing, and getting caught seems impossible to avoid. The only factor in your favor is the fact that you absolutely refuse to give up. Derek Hale can do whatever he wants to try and rein you in, but there’s nothing he can do to stop you. Nothing at all.
Honestly, he should have seen this coming. It’s not like any of the Hales are known for their natural rule-abiding tendencies. When Derek was your age, he was crushing on girls and giving them the bite. He should just be happy that you’re not trying to turn anyone and let you do what you please.
That’s what you argue, at least. Derek sees things very differently. You know he’s just terrified to lose another family member after the fire burned your home to the ground, but times are changing. You know how to defend yourself, and you certainly won’t be going down without a fight, if you’ll ever go down at all.
Besides, you’re not looking to get into fights. Not tonight. In fact, you’re doing the exact opposite. You’re slipping out of your room not to seek out danger, nor track down hunters in the hopes of starting a fight. No, you’re practicing all this secrecy because you want to see your boyfriend, a certain Theo Raeken.
You didn’t count on Theo stealing your heart when he first arrived at Beacon Hills. True, his first few months were a little rocky, something about him trying to betray the McCall pack in the name of the Dread Doctors, but he’s come around since then. You didn’t even start thinking about him romantically until a few months after that, once you were sure that he wouldn’t try something bad like that again.
If you ask Theo, though, he’ll tell a story that’s a little different from yours. He once confessed that he started liking you from his very first day, which made it easier to switch sides once he was let out of Hell. Sometimes you wonder if he saw visions of you when he was trapped down there. You don’t think he’ll tell you for quite some time, though. Theo doesn’t like thinking about his time in Hell at all.
Neither do you. That’s why the two of you prefer to let the past stay in the past, and focus only on the future and what it holds. Theo isn’t an enemy to you, not anymore. Not to any of your friends.
That’s not what Derek seems to believe, however. No, Derek is convinced that Theo is nothing but bad news, fit only for betrayal and heartbreak. Every time he happens to see you and Theo together, you can hear his blood pressure skyrocketing and you know you’re in for a lecture once you get home. Despite the fact that Derek made plenty of worse choices in his life, such as dating a darach, you being with Theo is the worst thing your older brother has ever seen.
It doesn’t make a whole lot of sense to you, but you’re not too hung up on it to let Derek’s lack of approval stop you. You don’t need your brother, you just need Theo. So, you take care to be extra quiet when you’re lifting the sash of the window and climbing down the fire escape into the cold night. Theo’s truck is idling two blocks over, just in case. He gets out to greet you like he always does.
Despite the fact that sneaking out of the Hale residence gets harder by the hour, and Derek’s wrath is strengthening by the day, it’s all worth it. All of it. The moment Theo’s arms are around you, you think you could take on the world. Maybe you’ll have to, it doesn’t really matter. You’ve got your boyfriend, he’s got you, and you’ve never been better.
Theo presses a kiss to your cheek before opening the passenger side door of his truck. “What do you say we get out of here?”
You laugh. “Sounds great to me.”
Theo smiles too, climbing back into the driver’s side and taking off into the night. You watch the streetlights speed past you, smears of off-white and buzzing gold against the dark air. Theo navigates his way out of the endless maze of suburbs and cul-de-sacs before you’re out in uncharted territory.
You and Theo have christened a spot on the outside of Beacon Hills as yours and yours alone. The Beacon Hills Preserve is in sight, but not all that close. Too many bad supernatural encounters in those woods have somewhat lessened your favor of them. Instead, Theo parks his car on the edge of a field, letting the tall grass and wildflowers brush against his cars. The sky is wide, open as far as the eye can see. It is absolutely perfect.
Theo grabs a blanket from the backseat and spreads it across the bed of his truck. He climbs in first, then holds out a hand to help you in. You lie down on your back so you can watch the stars, leaning against Theo. His hand traces gentle patterns on your arm, soft and soothing. The night is cool, making you curl closer against him. Overhead, the constellations wink and blink, promising stories that only you could ever dare to read.
You blink once and dawn is upon you. The sun is already climbing well into the sky, coloring clouds into rose and flaxen yellow. At first, you’re content to just lie there and marvel at how easy it was to fall asleep until it occurs to you that you weren’t supposed to do that at all.
One glance at the screen of your phone has you swearing under your breath. Theo is asleep by your side, and you frantically shake him awake. He’s slow to come to consciousness at first, but he’s active in seconds when you tell him what time it is. Both of you overslept by a lot, and you overshot the time you were supposed to make it back to your house by a couple of hours. Derek shouldn’t be up, not yet, but you wouldn’t put it past him to check your room. You’ve been known to sneak out in the past, and after the lecture you got last time, you really, really don’t want to be caught again.
Theo’s rushing the whole way back, relying on his supernatural senses to stay out of an accident. That, and the fact that no one is on the road at this hour of the morning. You imagine what a picture the two of you must make– most people just starting to wake up, the earliest risers starting their cars in their garages, while you and Theo are booking it down the road out of fear that your brother would figure out what you’ve done.
Theo brings his truck to a stop close to your house. He peppers apologies in between kisses, then urges you to hurry before it’s too late. You wave goodbye, then take the steps of the fire escape two at a time in your haste to get back inside. You raise your window and climb inside. You hear no sound anywhere else in the apartment, and you have just enough time to thank your lucky stars that you managed to get away with this when the lights flick on, revealing Derek waiting in the shadows.
It takes everything in you to bite back a startled scream. “Jeez, Derek, try not to give me a heart attack, will you?” You clutch a hand to your chest, trying to stop the accursed organ from jumping out of your chest.
Derek doesn’t look remotely sympathetic to your situation. “Why, so you can see that Raeken boy again? I know where you were.”
You wince. “You do.”
“I do,” Derek confirms, “and you’re lucky today’s a school day, or I’d be yelling at you here and now. As it is, you have to get ready or you’re going to miss the bus. Do that and I’ll be even more mad than I am now.”
“I didn’t know it was possible for you to be more mad,” you joke weakly.
“It’s not,” Derek says with a glare, and storms out into the hall.
You collapse to your bed, one hand rising to your head. You really hadn’t wanted Derek to find out, but of course he’d known all along. Derek’s a survivor, he has been all this time. That means he has the instincts of someone searching for all the clues you’re trying to keep hidden. You have the school day as a buffer, but after that, you’re totally done for.
Sure enough, Derek is waiting for you, arms folded across his chest, the moment you close the door behind you in the afternoon. Not only that, but Peter Hale is lounging on the couch, languidly flipping through the day’s newspaper.
You arch a brow at your uncle. “You brought Peter into this?”
Derek groans. “He’s a figure of authority. I thought you’d respect him if you can’t respect me.”
You grin. “Are you sure that was a good idea?”
Across the room, Peter chuckles. “Of course it was. There’s nothing Derek likes more than someone who gives him even more gray hairs than you.”
You and Derek turn to shout at the same time. “Shut up!”
Peter holds up his hands in mock surrender, still laughing under his breath.
Derek looks back at you, brow furrowed. “We’re not talking about Peter, we’re talking about you. You snuck out of this apartment for the fifth time this month. I’ve told you to stay away from Theo, but you were with him. Want to explain yourself?”
“We’re dating,” you say as casually as you can.
Derek pinches the bridge of his nose. “Why? The guy tried to kill Scott and he’s probably angling to kill you. I’m not telling you all this just because I like hearing the sound of my own voice, you know. I’m trying to keep you alive.”
You scoff. “Yeah, because you’ve got a great history with your girlfriends. Weren’t you dating Kate Argent? You know, the one who burned our house down?”
Peter takes this as his sign to add his two cents. “She’s not wrong, you know.”
Derek repeats his sentiment for Peter to shut up at the same time as you encourage your uncle to keep talking. This earns you a swat to the shoulder, and your older brother picks up his lecture again.
“I’m not the one who’s being reprimanded, Y/N, that would be you. I’m serious, you have to stay away from Theo. He’s no good for you.”
“How would you know?” You counter, “all you ever do is try to be as overprotective as you can. I mean, have you ever considered the possibility that I know what I’m doing?”
Derek exhales slowly. “I know you’re capable, but you never know. I’m just trying to keep you safe, is that really so bad?”
You give him a steady look. “When you’re being this overinvolved in my life, yes it is.”
Derek opens his mouth to argue with that, but he’s interrupted by a knock at the door. He tilts his head to the side for a second, listening for heartbeats, then mutters something under his breath about Scott McCall always needing something at the worst possible time.
You interpret that as your chance to escape, so you do so with great excitement. Derek shouts that this isn’t over as you go, but you’re fairly sure it is.
As you hurry past, Peter calls after you. “The back door is still unlocked, by the way. Derek will be busy for the next half hour or so.”
You grin. “Have I ever mentioned that you’re my favorite Hale?”
“Be sure to bring that up the next time I kill someone,” Peter grumbles, “I could use someone on my side for once.”
It’s hard to control your laugh as you head towards the back exit of the apartment. You text Theo on your way out, and soon enough you’re in his truck once again, speeding away from Derek and his suffocating tendencies as quickly as you can.
Theo shoots you a nervous look as he eases to a stop at a red light. “You’re sure everything is alright? I mean, Derek’s wrath is legendary.”
You shake your head. “We’ll be fine. Derek will stomp around for another day or so, but he doesn’t have it in him to hold grudges for long.”
Theo smiles. “As long as you’re sure about it. I don’t want to get in between you and your brother.”
“You won’t,” you assure him, “we’ve had bigger fights over much less, trust me.”
Theo assures you that he does, and you let the road disappear behind you along with your troubles. As you drive, though, your uneasiness doesn’t dissipate as quickly as usual.
A few minutes later, you think something is wrong. Glancing back, you whisper something to Theo. “Is it just me, or has that car been following us for a while?”
Theo checks his rearview mirror, then curses. “No, you’re right. That’s a hunter, I recognize the license plate. Hold tight, I’ll try to lose him.”
Theo takes a few sporadic turns, but even his best attempts can’t shake the guy. What’s more, cars appear out of the surrounding streets, slowly but surely forcing Theo to head towards the Preserve and out of sight of any passersby. The hunters stop near the mouth of the woods, and Theo has to park as well lest he risk getting in a crash.
The two of you watch the hunters emerge from their cars, weapons in hand. “Stay in the truck,” Theo tells you, “I’ll take care of this.”
“Not a chance,” you argue, “there are too many of them, we’re doing this together.”
Theo looks like he wants to argue, but you’re already reaching for the door and stepping outside. The hunters issue out the usual threats about wanting to run all supernaturals out of town and whatnot. Thankfully, they aren’t a patient bunch, and so you’re able to skip to the fight before too long.
This isn’t your first bad encounter with the hunters of Beacon Hills, nor will it be the last. You extend your claws, letting your eyes glow. Supernatural strength courses over you and you charge. Despite the fact that the two of you are crazily outnumbered, you and Theo have one thing that the hunters don’t:  an absolute unwillingness to lose.
That’s what you think about when enemy blood is shed, when you snap knives and break guns and refuse to let your fear get the best of you. That’s what you think about when the number of hunters starts to dwindle, when they choose to run into the woods or drive away rather than join their friends in agony on the ground.
That’s why you win, you think. At last, you straighten up and look at Theo. Both of you are alive, and the remaining hunters are fleeing as quickly as they can. You start to smile, but before you can say too much, another voice encapsulates your thoughts.
“That way went better than I expected.”
You whip around to see Derek emerging from his car a few paces away, blinking in surprise. He gestures between the hunters on the ground and you and Theo. “You know, I came all this way to save your asses, but it looks like you’ve already done that.”
“Maybe it’s because I can trust Theo to keep me alive.” You say pointedly.
Derek stares at you a second longer, then sighs and gives in. “Fine, fine. The two of you can keep on seeing each other. Just don’t make that sneaking out stuff a habit.”
You wait until Derek gets back in his car and drives away before daring to look at Theo. Silently, he raises his arms in victory, making you laugh. Maybe Derek isn’t completely beyond reasoning. And maybe, just maybe, you can have both your boyfriend and your brother on your side. Impossibilities were made to be disproven.

A Tumultuous Saga- T. Raeken
pairing- Theo Raeken x fem!Stilinski!reader
summary- Theo is brought back from hell, but only starts an inner hell within you
warnings- angst angst angst
word count-1.3k
a/n- After 2050 day hiatus on this account, I finally caught up with Teen Wolf. I have strong feelings and needed to express them somehow. Binge watching TW the last few weeks has made me become hyper fixated again. Also I have became deeply invested in the lil psycho wolf boi chimera just as much as I was when I first saw him in S5 where I left off 4 years ago. Might turn this into a mini series, right now this is just for my enjoyment and my first time writing in 4 years as well. I’m a bit rusty. As I re watched, I wanted to explore a trope with a Stilinski reader (im the worst alright?). Kinda the typical theme with most imagines for Theo, but I’M A SUCKER FOR IT OK!! I hope you enjoy! “Hello,” you called out as you stepped into Scott McCall’s house. None of your friends had talked to you all day, making you concerned since as of lately they’ve been extra protective of you. Not leaving you by yourself for longer than necessary since the Ghost Riders have been in town. You heard all the voices from the living room cease when you spoke up.
Scott and Liam shuffled into the entrance of his home. “Y/n? What are you doing?” Scott asked nervously. Liam had the same look on his face as well.
“Yeah Y/n, you shouldn’t be here.” Liam groaned as Scott threw an elbow into his side a little too hard. You looked between the two curiously, almost amused if they weren’t being so weird.
“Why so secretive? First I can’t even go to the bathroom without Hayden or Malia guarding the door, now I’m not allowed to know what’s going on?” You tried to walk further into the house, but Scott grabbed the sides of your arms keeping you secure.
“Or how about Hayden or Malia, can you meet you at your house?” He suggested. You raised an eyebrow, now he was being really strange.
“Or,” you drawled out, “can you tell me what’s going on? I’ve been through everything with you Scott now you’re keeping secrets from me.” Irritation laced through your tone as you ripped your arms out of Scott’s grasp. “Besides my dad’s home tonight from the station and my mom’s home too.” You made a point to take a step into the house more to solidify that you weren’t budging. “Let me at least talk to Hayden.” You walked towards the threshold of the living room.
Before you could get into the room, Hayden appeared in the doorway, “what’s up?” You looked at her, “can you tell me what’s going on?” You asked the younger girl knowing she could usually spill the beans easily with a little persuasion. She started to stammer, “Y/n I would love to but now isn’t a great time.” You had enough.
You charged at her, a groan of annoyance from you. You plowed through her arms, despite her werewolf strength. You ignored the three werewolve’s protests. “I’m sick of the secrets, everyone wants me in their business, but now what’s-” You stopped as you entered the living room.
You couldn’t believe who was sitting on the floor, bloodied and battered. “We tried to warn you.” Hayden said, anxious of your reaction. Theo Raeken back from hell? You glanced at everyone almost dumbfounded. “This is a joke right?” You laughed in disbelief.
“He knows who Stiles is Y/n, no ones happy about it, but we need him right now.” Scott tried to reassure you.
Theo looked remorseful as he stared at you. You fought so hard for him, believing he was good. Ignoring your friends, arguing for hours with them all for him. He killed your best friend, poisoned and lied to your father, and he had you fooled that he cared about you. He looked like he had seen better days, good he deserves it, one side of you said. The other side of you thought how handsome he still was, with his hair longer and his enticing blue eyes. You had been in denial, that the other side of you was hoping he was brainwashed from the Dread Doctors, and if he had a choice he wouldn’t have done what he had. You knew you couldn’t believe that either, but the look on your face mirrored Theos for a second before it was replaced with anger.
“We could’ve figured out who Stiles is without him!” You roared. Though you were only human, your emotion frightened all the pack. You were always calm and thoughtful, the mom friend of the pack. Caring, compassionate, and giving everyone the benefit of the doubt despite what you went through. Which is why you think Theo used you thinking you were just naive. You were angry and scornful, at him and regretfully yourself. You didn’t want to deal with your morality on top of the Ghost Riders.
“Unfortunately, y/n darling, you do.” Theo adjusted himself, wincing in pain. The way he looked physically, was how you felt for most the past few months emotionally.
“Don’t call me that!” “Don’t call her that!” Your voice echoed with Scott’s, Liam’s, and Malia’s. The wounded male held his hands up in defense. “Tough crowd, I get it. It’s obvious you don't remember who Stiles is to you, Y/n. I don’t think anybody realizes, and that is why you need me.” He had a smug tone as he stood up slowly. Of course he did, once again he knew something nobody else knew. That’s always how he had the upper hand.
You rolled your eyes, “can you get to your point, Raeken?” Theo quickly erased the smugness off his face. He now had a worried look on his face, and he glanced over to Scott almost as if he wanted the alpha to save him from this conversation. Did Scott know something too?
“I don’t think it’s a good time, Y/n.” Your heart wrenched at Theo’s voice. It was soft and was the tone he had used with you before you knew of his deceitfulness. The one he reserved for you when you two were alone. Late nights when he would sneak in your bedroom when your dad was stuck at the station, and your mom was fast asleep. You two would giggle about stupid things, as if nothing was wrong and your life wasn’t in danger. Or Scott had Theo and you research so you’d spend hours sitting in his truck, rereading the Dread Doctors looking for hints. When you’d yawn from the boring novel, he’d then drive to the drive thru and buy you a late night snack just as an excuse to prolong his time with you. You now knew it was all for you to be fooled since you were one of the most easy going of the pack. He had to play you the most. At least that was the conclusion you came up with, during the last three months of trying to heal.
“Well,” your voice cracked, everything was getting the best of you at this point. “I don’t think any time will be a good time. I don’t want any interaction with you, Theo. When you're ready to tell, tell Scott.” You sniffed trying your best to keep your composure. Theo went to walk towards you, but Malia pushed him back back snarling. Everyone knew the history between you two, when you were kids, when he came back (much to their displeasure that you had to be attached to the psychopathic werewolf), and now another chapter to the Y/n Stilinski and Theo Raeken tumultuous saga. Everyone watched you with sad weary eyes as you stormed out the front door, and got into your car.
Theo was a bad guy, and as selfish as he was— in his own messed up way, deep down in his cold heart; there was a soft spot just for you. He always deep down coincidentally kept you out his shenanigans. Even though often you’d walk blindly into the chaos, typical Stilinski fashion. Then, he’d dig himself more of a hole with the lies whether it was to protect you or his ulterior motive.
He could smell your chemo signals from outside Scott’s house and hear you crying. He was going to do what it takes to keep himself above ground, and for forgiveness. He didn’t care if it wasn’t from the rest of the pack, he only cared if it was forgiveness from you.

Important Announcement
Hi guys,
First off, I just wanted to say thank you for all your support over the past five years. It’s been amazing, and I’m so incredibly grateful to all of you. But I have to say something now which I don’t think you’re going to like.
It’s with a heavy heart that I’m announcing that, for the foreseeable future at least, I will no longer be active on this blog. I’ve reached the stage in my life that I knew would inevitably come where I just don’t have the time or the mindset for it anymore.
I won’t be deleting it, however. All the imagines, headcanons, gif drabbles etc will still be here for you to revisit should you wish. And of course, if I happen to log on and see a message or two, I’ll be around to answer them.
I might be back at some point, but who knows?
Again, thank you for all your love and support; I wouldn’t be the writer I am without you lot.
I love you all xxx
