Summary: Reader has scars from childhood. Jason cant have you feeling insecure now can he?

It was a calm night. One of those were everything was quiet and there was peace in a way you could feel it on your very soul.

It was one of the rare nights Jason stayed home, where there were no chores to be done, no laundry to fold, no papers to organize, no dirty dishes, no vacumming. Just calm. A cup of tea laid on the sidetable of the couch were Jason was lounging on, a book left forgotten in his lap, chin on his hand and glasses hanging a little low on his none as he watched you over them.

"I like that dress"

"Mnghh...I don't know" came your reply as you watched yourself in the mirror, turning this way and that. Trying on dresses that were left forgotten in a corner of the closet was not something you would have liked to spend the evening doing. But there was an event from work in which you had to look presentable to say the least. "I don't like the way my legs look...ugh..why am i being pusnished for the mistakes of my youth?!"

Jason raised a single brow but kept his mouth shut at the moment. It was no secret to him how you disliked the way your knees were scarred from childhood falls, and the scars never really faded, which left you preferring to wear pants or long skirts. Never in his life had Jason seen you go out with a skirt that was above your knees. But now you were trying on dresses that had been kept in the dark for a while. dresses that had been bought out of impulse saying that one day you would wear them but the day never came. And those made him want to find an excuse to get you in bed already. But like a good faithful soldier. He clamped his jaw, shut his mouth and let you talk. Though his eyes still traveled...

"But i really do like the color" you continue " it looks so nice...and my ass looks great...and my arms....and my boobs."

"Then wear it" Jason shrugged watching how you turned this way and that in front of the mirror...you looked so beutiful, with your messy hairbun, pimple patches, and just overall adorableness that he wanted to-

"..but my legs..it shows too much...maybe will just wear some dress pants"

"I'd like to see you in a dress" Jason tried only to be waved off.

"Yeah yeah we know, but this isn't about you Jason..it's about ME" you replied looking at your ass in the mirror and nodding with approbation.

Jason watched lips parted and eyebrows furrowed. He rolled his eyes. "Seriously? Come on ma, i think you look gorgeous, your bum looks to die for"

"It does doesn't it?" You grin, then sight "but my legs.."

Jason scoffed, setting his book on the couch and sitting up. "Ok doll come here." He says patting his tights.

You went willingly, though dragging you feet and then Sat sideways in his lap.

"Why don't you like your legs?" He asked putting his arms around you loosely and looking into your face.

"Cause my knees are dark and I have scars? Duh?"

"I think you have very pretty legs" he said rubbing his thumb over your knee where the worst scar was.

"thank you baby, but this? it aint about you Jay-" you start not unkindly.

Jason quickly cut you off "what ya' talkin'bout ma? Come on. You've got nice legs, they carry you around and they look amazing to me when you wrap them around my wais-"

"Jay-"

"Let me talk doll...what I mean to say is. You are the most gorgeous woman in the whole world-"

"You're pushing it"

He swatted your tight with a huff "woman...let me talk. What I'm saying is. Don't bring yourself down like that. Youve got scars because you've lived. No one gets scars from just sitting around on their ass all day. And i find them sexy as hell"

"Are you quoting me?" you asked with a snort pushing his face away with a hand on it.

He playfully bit into it and shook your hand of him"-So you're gonna wear this pretty dress on friday and you're gonna shut up all those old geezers from work with how stunning you're gonna be...and on Saturday I've got to take you shopping for some shirt skirts cause damn it baby you're on fire"

You deadlines at him with a huff and rolled your eyes though a smile trailed up your face "you are an idiot...thank you"

Jason grinned widely. "Anytime"

You place a peck on his cheek and go to stand up. He tugs you down again.

"Can I take it off now?" He whispers tugging lightly on your dress, his breath tickling your ear and you could feel him grin.

"Dude?!"

I personally feel like Harry Potter is one of those franchises that's been practically corrupted by its fandom.

The fandom should respect the author, but doesn’t.

The fandom has people in it who say:

"I don't trust JKR with her own Intellectual Property."

"She doesn't know anything about the Marauders. The world and characters belong to us now."

"She would just make all the Marauders straight, white, and cis." (Not everything has to be gay? Wtf)

It's HER story. None of you children (or adults with immature minds) have any right to say that she doesn't know her characters. If she hadn't written them in the first place, you'd have nothing to do, would you? There would be no wolfstar or jegulus or marauders era to begin with.

And you guys do understand that Regulus is fucking dead, right? James and Lily got married. Remus and Tonks had Teddy. Sirius was too focused on the delusion that he thought he got his best friend back (through Harry) to give a shit about Remus. Evan Rosier was never important to the plot. Lily is actually an important character. "Pandora" Lovegood doesn't exist in the books (her name is never mentioned except on Pottermore), and, no, she isn't Evan's twin so stfu. Marlene McKinnon is mentioned once (and it's implied that she married a man). Y'all can't even get Dorcas Meadowes's name correct.

The amount of canon-divergence absurdity in fanon culture is appalling.

And before you tell me "if you don't like it then don't read it"— I don't "read it." I don't read ATYD or Crimson Rivers or Art Heist or whatever other fics are out there that you've decided is canon now. I read the real story, y'know, the seven, very much canon, books. And I was gonna read ATYD, but once I found out how y'all treat it as the Holy Grail of the 1970s Wizarding World, I decided it wasn't my cup of tea because I want to read a fic that is canon-compliant, that doesn't push every hot character into a gay relationship, that doesn't have explicit sex involving minors, that doesn't have self-inserts..

I've just noticed the whole "scandal" that JKR has been in and how now everyone is hating on her...but isn't this what you all have been cheering for? For people to stand in what they belive in? If it was a LGTBQ person that was saying stuff then suddenly we would all be applauding? Haven't you all been cheering for rights? The right of speech? So what if she doesn't belive in all of that? I applaud her 100% for keeping a level head on this subject. Considering the fact that everyone is just going along with it.

So what if she doesn't applaud the fact that kids are allowed to change their genders when they don't truly know what they want? A kid would want to be a pirate one day, does that mean that the parents are going to cut their leg and give him an eyepatch? So what if?

Its her work. She can do with it what ever she wants. She is the writer and you all just benefit from her imagination.
