Virtue in the Rosining

Tighten bow, rosin my hairs, tune my strings and adjust my chin strap; I do these in this order. All steps that are virtuously and meaningless. Rosining is my favorite part most often, and if I do it regardless of how I feel or without feeling, is it still virtuous? The answer is yes. So my question is, what is something you do to prepare before the act of something/anything that is meaningless that turns into meaningful to you?

One of my favorite books is Ecclesiastes, the main theme - it’s all meaningless, but in greek meaningless means ever changing. Doesn’t it all require for us to not grip in order for it to flow? For me that even means how someone may remember me in their past. I smile inside and say, “Its meaningless because there is no meaning if I don’t give it one, especially outdated or unloving ones.” The one that lives in me is never ever changing and is my source to ever lasting virtue and love; removing all deficits.

WIP We---oh it's finished

Thank you so much! 💖 (and if anyone else tagged me, blame tumblr for me missing it, I noticed it's being weird again). Because it took me so long to get to this, consider this a tag to everyone else who's debating actually sharing this week. ^_^

So, I've been fighting a migraine/pots flare-up and got hyper-fixated on finishing a short fic in which I subject the main character to having a pots flare-up as well... sorry Thevin.

I'll drop the fic link, and a snippet from within the fic. The fic itself is Explicit, so if that's not your cup of tea, you know not to read it. ^_^ (Note: Skjor asks about Thevin's knees acting up because he doesn't understand that it's not their joints that cause them to lose their balance).

"Could look bad if we try to leave now," Skjor muttered. "Too many people suspect the Companions of Stormcloak ties because of the Gray-Manes."

"I know," they responded, leaning against a post. 

Thankfully, it wasn't too long before carts were rolling through, and they idly watched them. How did they manage to get the drop on him? I'd have expected Galmar to sniff out a trap or ambush a mile away. Glancing at the faces in the first cart, they nodded slightly. Maybe he wasn't with them.

Watching the Stormcloaks getting guided out of the second cart, they frowned, staring at one of the prisoners, unease making their knees weak. It can't be. No. I'm seeing things. Tobias went to Hammerfell! He can't be here.

"What's wrong?" Skjor growled, "your knees acting up?"

They didn't respond, staring at the visage of the man they thought they'd never see again.

"Thevin."

Their heart jolted when Lokir was cut down, the stark realization of what they were about to see truly sinking into their bones. No. He's not even in Stormcloak attire! Why is he here?

"He's not on the list."

The announcement brought a wave of relief through Thevin, leaving them grasping at the pillar, the world yawning away from them a second later when the Captain demanded he be sent to the block.

"Thevin," Skjor hissed again, jabbing their arm with a bony finger.

They swallowed hard. "Skjor," they whispered. "That's my brother."

WIP Whenever (sort of)

I was tagged by the lovely @thequeenofthewinter and I was going to post the link to my completed "short fic" Temba and the Bear but as AO3 is currently down, instead have some screenshots I took while working on the story. And apologies for the oddness this week. Should have some writing next week. ^_^

First up is Temba. She really grew on me over the course of the story. (She's wearing Hedge Mage armor by ElleH with a scarf from skyrim scarves and mufflers by cmdo and is inside Ebongrove by undriel)

Next we have Elmand in Fuse's Red Warrior armor (with Hide bracers and a red bandana). He turned out to be a remarkably fun character to write.

And Ralof and Thevin (the Dragonborn), showed up during the course of the story. They're wearing gear from Guards Armor Replacer by NordWarUA here
