apparently "being like Roy Mustang" is not a healthy way to deal with your problems. Who knew? Certainly not me, and certainly not Roy Mustang.
#personal#go to premarital counseling they said#it'll be fun they said#they didn't tell me i would break down crying because apparently my dad's depression affected me WAY more than I told myself it did#apparently “that affects how you see relationships and their roles”#and I guess my coping skill of being resilient and moving on really quickly is not because I'm super cool#but because I feel the need to be like my mom and be strong in case people fall apart and break so completely like my dad#and I guess I am deathly afraid of my spouse falling into depression as deep as my dad did#also I have a weird complex about being used to being picked second???#anyways#ruby overshares in the tags#but like i also think that's why i adore the character of Roy because I get it#I get the pushing everything aside and telling yourself you've dealt with it but really you've just dealt with it enough to survive#and you make yourself strong as hell and you RUN after your goals like they can save you#and like I'm not a war criminal but I get it. I get the trying to atone and trying to be better#chase your goals and run as hard as you can so you can lie to yourself about why you're running#running towards and not from something#but we're really just running from something#ANYWAYS#fma brotherhood#roy mustang needs therapy#so do i#roy mustang
