the game begins introducing itself as a regular otome school life sim (my condolences to the fans who fell for william first sight only to find out hes not an actual love interest trust me i see u i feel u) but then WHAM BAM!! just when u thougut ur girl best friend was lookin kinda cute she gets X_x in this summon circle and you jump in to save her only to find out youre now in a royal cage surrounded by people that needa sacrifice you to save themselves from their own doom. oh and youre not in your own world anumore good luck have fun

so now here goes the different plots and paths with the love interests. the way i playrd it was as they introduced it, which was ayn aklaid lars claerence. no cael route yet which rips me apart every night. the love interests seem to have consistent values throughout most universes despite all of their diferet upbringings which i find pretty cool considering schoollife and royaltylife are two completely drastic diferent things, and also i nejoy how mc is written with more character and an amazing design to match the rest of the beautifully drawn cast

on that topic the art is GORGEOUS. i have never seen such beautiful detailed art in a game before and i assure you it will not disappoijnt. the graphics and smoothness of the game are especially a great touch. Ichiro: We saw him in full before, but I just want to reiterate how they intentionally got rid of all the connections Ichi had to the bros within his clothing. From Jiro's blue on his sleeves, the zip up shirt they all shared, and having the iconic BB lettering not there anymore- it seems like they're trying to distance Ichi's character from being so bro centric. Maybe to show growth how he's going to be more independent? It's a bit odd because being dependent isn't Ichi's flaw, that's Jiro and Saburo's... Maybe it's to show how THEYRE distancing from HIM 🤔

Jiro: This hair change is such a W for Jiro fans!! It was unclear if he actually changed it in art prior but this is a W SUCH A W!!! I miss the white stripes on his shoulders for contrast reasons but he looks just like a more mature version of his old design. It looks like he's wearing the checkered shirt instead of wrapping it around his waist which is cuter and makes much more sense fdsafdsfds.

Saburo: He looks all grown up LOL The time skip is only supposed to be a few months from what I recall, so at most he's now 15 but imo I think they're keeping them to og ages tbh. The mustard is such a good look for him! The more pastel yellow and school uniform esc coat of his old design did a lot to keep him looking / feeling young so this new design feels like he's growing up to be more comfortable to be who he is ;_;

Samatoki: He looks just as hot and he's somehow showing even MORE skin despite having a jacket lmao. Those popping buttons I see you Toki fdsafdsaf. Again he looks less like a gangster / yakuza but I wonder if they're trying to lean into that look. He pretty. Real pretty...

Jyuto: Thoughts have pretty much stayed the same, it reads like an Extra Wardrobe outfit rather than something he'd wear on the daily. In the new arc did he stop wearing his uniform since the government shut down? Did he just say fuck the dress code? I do like the outfit, it makes him look a lil more sleazy LOL

Rio: Rio looks good he looks good!! I don't have much thoughts on him since I never really do but I still find it hilarious he has the same pants as his old outfit.

Ramuda: He looks excellent as always but I do agree with the original poster that I miss his blue :C I think the yellow makes him look really young and it kinda doesn't jive with me ??? I love the hat though he looks very very cute. Ramuda also has the best shoes in the cast and I appreciate they didn't change it.

Gentaro: Gentaro is so funny I think they legitimately just made his back cape longer?? He also got rid of the high collar undershirt, which probably symbolizes that he's hiding less of himself to his friends. I love Gen but I need to see him not in motion to see how well this outfit fits him. ATM I think the longer cape messes up his silhouette by making him seem like a rectangle.

Dice: I miss the trench coat!! I miss the trench coat!!! I don't care if it would be smelly I miss the trench coat !!! I think getting rid of the black parts on his collar and outside his sleeves kind of make him look too... normal??? Like idk, where's the spice!! Give him fingerless gloves or sm shit he needs SOMETHING to make him look less like just a guy :C He's cute but I think his old fit is >>>

Jakurai: He looks SOOOOO GOOOD. We've seen this in full before but he looks CUUUTEEE. Like I'm no Jakurai stan but hooo boy that coat does smthn to me. He looks looser, like he's gonna have some fun, maybe go to the mall or smthn he looks good !!!!! Anons brought up Jakurai removing his doctor coat as a symbolism for his savior complex going away and I think it's really cool !!! One of the best new fits imo.

Hifumi: I like his og outfit much better I'm sorry 😭😭😭 I think with Materno's main color being light grey, Jakurai being in white, Doppo being a light grey now, Hifu being that off white just makes him blend together with the other members. Maybe it's the fact that he's set against a white background but he just gets lost among the other two. Having the darker colors concentrated around his head / upper body helps though.

Doppo: I love him my baby I love him I lve nye my baby my vobeoteoy frmajwfmweoijfghuefuwafjewanjmisafkowafewoawfeaiow. I say from my last post: "He’s getting loose he’s getting silly he’s CRAZY DOPPO IN THE HOUSE !!!"

Sasara: I like the outfit on it's own but I kind of... hate how it's matching with Rosho. SasaRo enjoyers rejoice but I don't like how it doesn't allow Sasara (and Rosho in turn) be his own character. It was mainly an issue I had with Rosho but this new fit puts in on Sasara too, that it kind of forces you to look at him in the lense of his relationship with Rosho rather than who he is as a chara on it's own. Also they made him less colorful :CC The bowtie is super cute though I like it.

Rosho: Rosho does look cute but again I wish it wasn't so obviously a callback to his relationship with Sasara!! I do like the hair, it's very cute fdsafdsa. He looks a lot more comfortable and a lot more confident but I'm unsure if its due to character development or just for cool points. Rosho looks like he smells good

Rei: He's too grey 💀 TOO GREY !!! I think getting rid of the hat and glasses was such a downgrade it does not look very good. It's a lot of my issues with Hifu's outfit without actually having a good clothing design to make up for it. I think it's nice how it could possibly be a call back to Kazuma Kiryu but that doesn't really make up for it :/

Kuko: I was wrong his hair did not get shorter 💀💀💀 But he is INCREDIBLE !! IT'S VERY GOOD!!! I have nothing to complain / nitpick about I think it's very good. (one nitpick I guess FDSAFDS. His bright hair now seems a bit out of place against the darkness of his clothing. Maybe making the purple accent stripes blue or red would have made it better? Unsure though.

Jyushi: He looks very good but I wish they gave him more interesting pants they're very underwhelming compared to his incredible top!! Like imagine sm crazy shit like lace racing stripes, some peekaboo patterns in triangles at the bottom of his flares, it would be very cute !!!

Hitoya: Very cute, very good, a stark improvement from his original look I have nothing else to say fdskafdasfdsa. Again, a 35 year old baby.

I think for some of the characters the outfits really really really really work (Doppo, Hitoya, Jakurai) but for a lot of them I think their original looks were much more iconic and much more fitting to themselves (Dice, Sasara, Rei). I hope we still get content put out with their original outfits because I'd legitimately be sad to never see Dice in his trench coat again :C

hugo is the eldest daughter in her family, and only girl after her mother. her parents divorced when she was around 7 and grew up in london. she spent her summers in china or korea, her dad would fly to london and then set off to shanghai the next day with his family. hugo was an average student, kept to herself and performed badly in subjects like science and maths. she absolutely loved to draw and began her talents in art from a young age, which prompted her to study art in university. hugo started dancing when she was around ten years old, but she never took it as seriously as art.

she was a trainee when she was around 16 years old for a few months but quit due to sustaining a bad injury in her right leg, making dance (the thing that got her into sm entertainment) hard to continue. she trained in sm for a year before returning home to cloudy london, already feeling her mental health intact. she didn’t make much friends apart from a few (who she later on would work with)

mother, lee sohee was born in 1972. she studied nursing in university and came from a middle-class background. she met her former husband in a transfer program in hong kong and they got married 2 years after dating. now she’s a single working mum providing for 3 of her children.

father, huang jing. born in 1989, jing grew up in hong kong with his single mother. he did not have a rich background and nearly quit school because of their financial situation, but his mother’s wise words convinced him into continuing his business and finance degree. he owns a few small businesses in china, including restaurants and provides a lot for his family.

Answer: i’ve sometimes done lil art streams for friends before! i could use the same capture software to make speedpaints sometime.... i’ve been considering it for a while actually! 

my process can be a lil sloppy when i try to break it down into steps for tutorials so i think the best way to show + explain is through art streams (& video process)... 

i was thinking of starting art streams on twitch in the near future too... it’s just when i’ll finally be able to get setup finally that i’d be able to set a streaming schedule

Amanda’s a pretty tough person to get through to. She has been through a lot of shit in her life, gone to the edge of addiction and death and came back a changed woman. She decided not to view the survivors as people but rather as test subjects, sinners who need rehabilitation for their lack of appreciating life. Well, that was John’s take on why they did what they did and Amanda, no matter how hard she tried to be what her mentor wanted her to be, she was always just not good enough. She had resigned herself to the Entity’s will and succumb to her craving for nonsensical violence. That was until she met you.

You are quiet and reserved and Amanda really likes that. You can sit in the corner of her workroom, undisturbing and still, and she could focus on her work. Amanda is very much like a cat herself; don’t come to her for affection, she will come to you. Eventually. But there is no denying that if you were to approach her slowly, tentatively placing your head on the small of her back, Amanda would give in and offer you what little warmth she could provide.

Amanda finds you most interesting when you express your attentiveness to the macabre. Despite being on the receiving end of all the hurt and torture her and those like her dish out to you, when times get quiet you get extremely inquisitive. You wander around her realm picking up pieces of scraped designs for past traps and you ask Amanda about them. She entertains you and describes in horrific detail how each trap intended to work and how that person had to fight to survive. She expected you to react negatively, or at least cringe at the mention of the various ways a man’s body would be twisted until it broke, but you showed no reaction. You nodded your head deep in thought before nonchalantly prodding her for more information. How strange you were to her, so weak to the advances of the very things that intrigue you. Amanda would sigh before grabbing your head and shoving it into her chest. She’d place her pig-mask chin on the top of your head and you could hear her chest rumble as she spoke. “Don’t.” Her voice was coarse and there was a slight worry to it, it sounded as if she was... scared. “Don’t be like that. Stay pure.” You’d let her hold you a moment longer before you would take over and envelope her in your own arms. You swear you felt her ease into your embrace, safe and comfortable within your walls. Nothing more was said between you two but an unspoken truth formed. No matter what, you would never change, never be tainted and you would always, always, be hers.

Nea Karlsson

When Nea first encountered you in a trial, she found you to be the most annoying and helpless individual she had ever seen. “Outta my way!” She was in the middle of a very intense chase and had mistakenly led the killer right to your cowering position. She tried her best to save you, even though you angered her by your quiet nature which came off to her as being snobby and stuck-up. In the end, however, when the gates were open and she was on the hook, you were the one to risk it all and save her. Later on, when you two were safe by the eternal campfire, you approached the girl and apologized for your ignorance and for getting her hurt. Nea softened at your words and patted the log next to her. You sat with her and from then onwards you two were inseparable.

If the two of you were in a trial together, the killers would never stand a chance of winning. Nea had taught you all her tricks and you picked them up very quickly. The other survivors had taken to calling you both cats, or something along those lines. It was like you both had a second sense, an all-knowing knowledge of what the killer was doing and how best to counter their actions. Many times, Nea and you could be found at the opened exit gates waiting for your poor victim to show their face and accept their disgraceful defeat. Nea would throw provocative gestures at the distant killer and you would scold her (half-heartedly, of course, you loved watching her flaunt herself). Once you throw the middle finger at The Ghostface and told him to go sit on a dick. Nea laughed and at that moment knew she loved you.

In between trials, the two of you would sneak off into the forest to do ‘naughty’ things. Like spray-paint stupid pictures on the walls of the Macmillian Coal-Tower or throw rocks at the car windows in Auntohaven until they broke. You nearly got caught by the Wraith once and while crouched in a corner, Nea had placed herself over you, her body acting like a shield and her hands on either side of your head. When the coast was clear and she turned to face you, you leaned forward and placed your first kiss on her lips. It was the first time you had ever seen Nea blush and it was so cute.

as ruth pointed out, the butler guy is reminiscent of kuro from one piece. same vibes

god i love this shows approach to Everything so far,....as ruth put it, half the time its like ‘oh wow they should do [x]/i wish theyd do [x] but ofc they wont cause its a shounen’ but then they DO do [x] and its like damn thats dope 

anyways i love how gon is increasingly approaching situations with his Plucky Shounen Protag Attitude in full swing, and he pretty much gets shot down every time. BUT his general determination to see killua bc killuas his FRIEND and hes gonna RESCUE HIM is still a good and pure motivating force 

like here, when hes climbing over the wall and hes like whatever i dont wanna have to deal w/being tested thats bullshit, i wanna see killua, my intentions are pure, im gonna try my luck with the dog....i was like ok yeah he’ll get over and like tame or defeat the dog and the guard will be suitably impressed bc nobodys ever done That before, and then gon will continue on to get killua 

but NOPE instead the guard calls him down and explains that gon Will Die if he tries that, and then the guard will die too for letting that happen. and gon is like oh shit my actions have consequences for people other than me, wow. 

and THEN the guard takes them in to meet the dog. and hot DAMN that is a scary creature. not even really a dog tbh. they did an excellent job making the dog Legit Scary and not just like, big and flashy looking....those eyes are so soulless, and the proportions are freaky 

and the guard says exactly what i was thinking - that gon would use his Country Boy Woodland Creature Skills to workaround the dog....but then the subversion - this creature is NOTHING like the woodland critters gon is probably used to dealing with. theres no way gon stood a chance here. the guard just saved him from a really unfortunate death 

i love all the Super Heavy Stuff in the servant house that seems so inconvenient vbhjdkfasjfld. also forgot to mention earlier but the guard guy being Absolutely Ripped was wild and kinda funny 

training montage! gon continues to be so cute. and i love so much how leorio and kurapika are like no, you rest, we’ll take care of this. good parents!!!!

and then!!!! they sync up and use the power of gay love to almost open the gate. but then gon uses the power of Improbable Shounen Protag Healing Speed to toss that arm sling off and help out

i feel like leorio was side-eyeing gon like w8 a sec u broke that arm like a few days ago that aint right.....

oh man i almost forgot abt that scene with the zoldyks torturing killua :( :( this poor kid he doesnt deserve that 

also mom zoldyck seems truly awful but i must say her aesthetic does fuck. the victorian-lookin outfit paired with the futuristic cyclops visor thing....excellent. also im betting this face bandages are from killua cutting her face

as i said above i doubt hisoka will show up now bc this arc is a lot shorter than i anticipated. also im doubting that illumis even gonna show up honestly 

i think we’re gonna have this OP for a while, as the part just at the end shows gon and hisoka fighting in what looks to be an arena, and ik the next arc is the heavens arena arc, which im assuming is the tournament arc....

also i have no idea what that weird building in the OP is but my guess is that its the building w/the heavens arena in it bc its tall and,,,,heaven 

i predict there wont be much fighting in this little arc bc how tf else is it so short. at this point i rlly think gon is just gonna grab killua and go lmao. im super curious abt how thats gonna go down, considering that killua is currently strung up just bc he wont apologize...so i cant imagine his family would just let him leave w/gon. i wonder if killua will fight them, or if gons determination will impress them and then theyll let killua go (doubt it)
