I am a hardcore daydreamer just like my brother and sister shifters(you guys🫵🏾), and I can't wait to really live the silly imagines I always have in my head. Even if it's something relatively small, I will still get to live every second of them.

Idk if some of you guys will remember that one post where I mentioned Googlebox? But I'm mentioning it again🙄 because I scripted me, my love of my life, his sister who is my bff, my own girl bff and her boyfriend are part of the program teehee. I swear no one will ever understand how much of a comfort show Googlebox is to me and in general.

The idea of being on TV whilst watching TV and relaxing with my favourite people and eating my favourite food just makes me melt. It's such a core memory to me and idk I just love showing off how perfect my family is to everyone else

— FOOD

I can't wait for all the delicious food I'll get to eat. There will never be a single time where I have to eat something I don't like or don't want to ever again, because why should I have to? I'm mostly excited to have stuff like popeyes, McDonald's, seafood boils, those Korean and Japanese foods you see on mukbangs, loads of fruit bowls (I really do love fruit), basically everything meat/barbecue, pasta including ramen, and sweets too cus🧍🏿‍♀️🤷🏾‍♀️

Never will there be a day or night where I will ever need to wear clothes that don't suit me or clothes I don't like. My closet is going to be full of the cutest and gorgeous late 90s and early 2000s skirts, shirts, bellbottoms, flares, jackets, oversized ts, shorts, belts, slippers, jewelry, panties and bras etc etc

In my better cr, I scripted that I am already miles ahead of everyone in college work (and best believe all my work is at distinction level) so I have all the time in the world to do what I want until the next brief; I also scripted the date of month that I will wake up in my better cr in is the 17th April last week so I will have only 3 days of college next week (because i go in on mondays, tuesdays, wendsays and Thursdays) and 4 weeks of freedom to myself. (I also scripted my teachers let me do my own art work in my free time in class, cus sometimes all a girl wants to do is draw their ocs🥺)

In better cr, I am kind of in the planning process of moving out of my house to my apartment penthouse with my friend group. But even once I've moved out I'll probably keep visiting my old home where my mum and her husband lives because.

The very next morning, Jihoon stirs from his slumber to find a barrage of texts from Soonyoung, seemingly excited about his best friend joining him on the camping trip. He rolls his eyes with a little smile as he looks over the wall of text detailing when the crew will leave for the trip and what to bring. Jihoon makes a mental note to invest in a small tent for him and Ji-ah to share and some snacks to bring for the bonfire.

With a long yawn, Jihoon rises tiredly as the sunlight creeps in through his window, the time on his phone reading 7:47am. He sighs as he lets himself slip out of his bed and onto the carpeted floor to reach for a pair of shorts and a compression gym shirt. The weather is looking nice enough for a jog, he thinks. After sliding into his sneakers and putting his earphones in, he places his phone into the pockets of his shorts before taking off out the front door and into the direction of the city streets.

After a thirty minute jog, Jihoon finds himself stepping into an intriguing bakery with the intention for a bagel and a bitter black coffee. As he steps into Love Letter Cafe, his eyes widen as he sees none other than his soulmate sitting inside one of the booths on the right hand side of the Cafe surrounded by three others. Jihoon panics for a moment before slipping into an unused booth on the left side of the room, peeking over to see who was seated around you.

His eyes fall on both yours and his housemates, Seokmin and Mingyu with you, Seokmin by your side and Mingyu diagonally across from you. He observes the new edition to your group, his long dark hair tied up in a half up-half down style wearing baggy gray sweatpants and a white tank top, his left arm adorned with tattoos from his shoulder all the way down to his fingertips, a black hooded jacket sitting over his lap as you seemingly laugh at a comment he’s made. You are also in the same outfit as the mystery man, your long hair pulled up into a high ponytail, your oversized jacket falling off your shoulders as you lean forward to take a sip of your hot chocolate in front of you. His cheeks flush pink as he takes in your new style; everytime he has seen you, you’re always in pastel colours, girly skirts and dresses. This new look suits you.

Jihoon feels slightly intimidated by the look of the man you’re facing, but is surprised when the buff man lets out the smallest airy giggle he’s ever heard. Oh dear god, it’s another Mingyu.

“How did he not get fired?” The new boy giggles between sips from his cup, your laugh echoing through the new empty cafe with the others.

“Because Eomoni is a good person, just like her son.” You wink at the boy, laughing as he rolls his eyes.

“You only say that because she was nice enough to hire you.” He huffs, jutting his bottom lip out.

“Yah, Jeon Jungkook!” An older lady over the counter scolds loudly at your table. Your smirk grows. “Don’t speak about my best worker like that!” She is waving her hand dramatically.

Jeon Jungkook. Jihoon’s eyes widened. Oh. He knew this kid. He was Mingyu’s best friend from high school. They parted for college after Jungkook left to start a tattoo apprenticeship, but the two boys always stayed in close contact. Mingyu always brought up stories of Jungkook at home, but this was the first time he’s ever seen the boy in person.

“And speak to your mother with respect!” You smack the table playfully, causing Mingyu and Seokmin to erupt with laughter.

“Ahh, this is why you’re my favourite!” Mrs Jeon grins at you, placing a cupcake in front of you as you squeal excitedly.

“Eomoni Jeon’s cupcakes are the best!” You grin happily, taking a bite of the treat while wiggling in your seat.

“Eomma, why don’t I get one?” The boy pouts sweetly, but she just smacks the back of his head lightly. He whines.

“Because you’re not nice to my honorary daughter.” She wags her finger at him before walking back behind the counter, your smirk still evident as you eat the cupcake gleefully.

“This is why you need to be nice to your elders, Jeon.” You winked, letting out a triumphant laugh.

“Watch it, Choi,” he huffs. “Remember who your dance partner is for Soonyoungie-hyung’s practice today.”

“How can I forget?” You clap back, leaning back against the wall. “Mingyu only reminded me thirteen times because of his whining.”

“It’s not fair.” He grumbles, poking at his croissant on the table. “I don’t understand why I had to be cut for Jungkookie to take over my spot.”

“Sweetie, I hate to admit it, but you have two left feet when it comes to partner work.” You smile at Jihoon’s housemate, who only groans.

“It’s not my fault I’m tall and uncoordinated!”

“That’s right.” You soothe him. “But think of it this way, you still get to film the promo video today for Soonie’s dance crew, and you’re still an amazing solo dancer.”

“Do you really think that, Y/Nie?” He pouts, as you laugh and ruffle his hair.

“I do.” You grin softly as he slowly nods.

“And think about it,” Seokmin chimes in. “You’ll be getting paid too!”

Jihoon raises his eyebrow. He knew of Soonyoung’s dance crew. It wasn’t anything special, in Sooyoung's words. It was just him and his good friends who wanted to join and have fun. He knew that Mingyu and Jun would go every second Saturday to go meet him and do some dancing, but he didn’t know you were in the crew too.

“This is true..” Mingyu nods, a little smile growing on his face.

“There’s the Gyu we know and love.” You encourage him, and Jihoon swore if Mingyu had a tail, he’d be wagging it right now. “I don’t understand why Soonie needs me for the video though.” You hum, a frown forming on your lips. “I only do this for fun. The boys group dance in my opinion is a lot better than our one too.”

“Isn’t it obvious?” Seokmin raises his eyebrow.

“Isn’t what obvious?” You blink.

“He wants you to be the main feature of the video to get views.” Jungkook laughs, and your cheeks turn red.

“Don’t be stupid, Jeon!” You swat his hand.

“Oh sure,” he humors you. “He totally didn’t Bada Lee you up and get you looking like a meal to make you stand at the back.”

“Don’t you talk about my wife Bada Lee that way!” You pout, making the other three laugh. “And don’t compare her out-of-this-world looks to plain old me! That’s an insult to my queen.”

“Y/N, you don’t realize how hot you are, do you?” Jungkook leans back in his seat, eyebrow raised.

Who does this kid think he is? Jihoon scoffs. He clearly must have a thing for you. He is unsure if the grumbling in the pit of his stomach is from his hunger or something else brewing. No, Jihoon. Don’t be ridiculous.

“I’m not hot.” You roll your eyes, leaning your head back on the wall. “And you shouldn’t be talking that way.” You scold him again. “You have a soulmate now, and I’m pretty sure Namjoon-Oppa wouldn’t approve.”

“Yah, I may have a soulmate, but I can appreciate an attractive person when I see one.” He defends himself. “Even Mingyu and I had a crush on you in middle school- OW!” He yelps as Jihoon’s housemate smacks him.

“Yeah for about a week!” You frown, shaking your head. “That doesn’t count. You’re only saying that to make me feel better, and I’m flattered. Really I am, but you don’t have to lie.”

“But we’re not…”

The boys pause as they see you shrink in your seat, arms hugging around your knees. They give each other a silent look before nodding in agreement.

“I’m sorry, Bug.” Jungkook pouts as you nod your head slowly.

“Sorry,” you sigh, wincing and shaking your head at the icky feeling in your stomach. “Shouldn’t have snapped.”

Jihoon feels awful. He can feel the self-consciousness oozing through your body mixed with sadness and anxiety.

“Okay, let’s change the subject,” Jungkook offers, nudging you from across the table. “How’s the ink holding up?”

Jihoon’s ears perk up. Ink?

“It’s not too bad,” you hum, pushing your jacket down and sliding the top of your tank top over to the side to reveal a small galaxy of black ink drawn into your collarbone under the fabric. Your soulmate’s cheeks flush as he sees the new tattoo on your skin, teeth sinking into his bottom lip. “A bit itchy now, but that means it’s healing, right?” You tilt your head at the tattooed boy, who only nods in response. He leans forward and runs a finger over the skin before nodding with approval.

“Yeah, it’s looking good.” He beams. “You do realize the secret will be out now once this video comes out.”

“I mean, yeah,” you shrug, letting the tank top fall back into place, a few stray stars peeking out from either side of the fabric. “But Cheol can’t do anything now. It’s literally embedded into my skin.” You laugh softly.

Jihoon never took you to be a rebel like this. He only ever heard stories of you being a well mannered goody two-shoes. Not that there was anything wrong with that, of course.

“I can’t believe you managed to keep this under wraps from him, Bug.” Seokmin speaks to you with concerned eyes.

“I mean I could be doing worse things like doing drugs.” You shrug, taking another sip of your drink. “But I’m getting cute tattoos instead. And I love my brother, but sometimes he’s not very observant over things like that. I have done countless things with you guys that he doesn’t even know about.”

This piques Jihoon’s interest as you nonchalantly sip from your drink, a twinkle of mischief in your eyes.

“Does that mean I can still hold the blackmail of your nipple piercings you got 3 years ago over your head for you to do my bidding?” Jungkook smirks.

Jihoon is about to faint. He blinks the image out of his head multiple times. He needs to get out of here before he hears anything more that he isn’t supposed to hear.

“That was when I was drunk and stupid.” You hum, looking up at Jungkook. “But I mean, you can if you want. But do keep in mind I will let Eomoni know about how on the same day, you also got a piercing on your d-”

You yelp as you feel a swat on your arm by the flustered tattooed man before bursting out into laughter with the others as Jihoon steps out of the Cafe in a rush, cheeks flushed red and stomach growling. He immediately starts to jog again, needing to get his mind off the conversations he overheard in the Cafe.

It’s well after lunch time when Jihoon hears the front door open to see Mingyu and Junhui enter the living room. Jihoon lifts his head from his spot on the couch and nods his head in greeting to them, Mingyu’s soulmate emerging from the kitchen with a smile.

“Hi darling,” Wonwoo coos as he wraps Mingyu up in a gentle embrace. “How did the shoot go?”

“Tiring.” Junhui groans, falling onto the couch beside Jihoon. He notices that he was wearing the same attire that you and Jungkook were wearing in the cafe this morning.

“Not for me!” Mingyu grins. “But, Y/Nie did want to film a TikTok dance challenge with me so I didn’t feel left out.” He beams proudly now, eyes sparkling.

“Because she is a good person.” Wonwoo hums, nodding his head sagely. “How was she and the rest of the ninety seven crew?”

“They were good!” He smiles. “We had our monthly catch up at Eomoni Jeon’s Cafe and got to see some new designs Kookie was coming up with. I might get a little one to help him out.”

“You two are too alike.” Junhui laughs, leaning his head back over the edge of the couch. “Y/N and Soonyoung were ready to smack them both by the end of the shoot.”

“That’s because Jungkook kept wanting to fiddle with the video camera.” Mingyu whined. “That’s not my fault!”

“Of course it isn’t.” Wonwoo nods sympathetically, kissing his soulmate’s cheek.

Jihoon stays silent on the couch, listening carefully to the conversation going on around him, eyebrows furrowed as he took in the new information being fed to him.

“When is the video planning to come out?” Junhui lifts his head to the tall man, tilting his head.

“Let’s see… We did three choreos, the group dance, Y/N and Jungkook’s duo and Soonyoungie-hyung’s solo, it should take a week or so to edit. So like.. maybe two weeks max?” Mingyu thinks, lips pursed in thought.

Jihoon pauses for a moment as he hears the mention of you. A duet with Jungkook? Interesting. He makes a mental note to keep an eye out to watch the video when it’s released.

“Jihoon-ah,” Wonwoo calls out, causing him to blink back into reality.

“Hmm?” He hums in response.

“Soonyoung gave me a list for us for the trip. Did you want to come to the store with me tomorrow to go get everything so we only have to do one big shopping trip?”

“Yeah, sounds good.” Jihoon nods. “What do we need to get?”

“Just stuff for the tents, really.” Wonwoo thinks. “Some sleeping bags, heat packs, blankets, towels for the beach…”

“Mhm, we’ll get it all sorted.”

Jihoon honestly doesn’t know how he is going to go during the trip. The fact he is bringing his not-soulmate around his actual soulmate for a prolonged amount of time almost feels cruel and borderline sadistic for him to flaunt his girlfriend around you. You have been feeling fine lately. Jihoon doesn’t feel much sad emotions from you lately, and he wonders if his hope is misinterpreted as you being able to hide the pain better.

Later that night, Jihoon finds himself once again absentmindedly scrolling through his instagram app and landing onto your profile. The first post he sees is a new Reel posted an hour ago by you. You caption the video in dedication to Bada Lee, with a short explanation about how you didn’t do the dance justice. He chuckles at the sight of the first comment on said post; your older brother simply asking “WTF IS THAT ON YOUR SHOULDER?!”

In the video, you’re standing beside Mingyu and doing the new trending Smoke dance, your newly discovered tattoo peeking from under your tank top, taunting Jihoon. His eyes are wide as he watches you and Mingyu (mostly you) execute the dance perfectly, impressed with how well you both hit the signature ‘smoke you up’ dance move. At the end of the clip, you both get cut off as Soonyoung struts his way into frame, pretending to blow out the fake smoke coming from your Thumb-Lighter, causing the three of you to erupt in laughter before the screen fades to black. Jihoon’s reflection stares back at him, smiling. Once he realizes, he forces his face to turn back into a scowl. He can’t be smiling about another girl while he still has Ji-ah.

When he views your Story next, his cheeks begin to flush like it has done too many times today. You’ve shared a post from Soonyoung’s crew’s profile, a video filmed from the side of the dance studio of you and Jungkook. You’re both placed in the middle of the room, Vanilla by Kai playing on the speakers. The clip is only for 20 seconds, but Jihoon studies it thoroughly. He watches as your hands reach around from behind Jungkook and skim down his front, followed directly by Jungkook using his right arm to control how your body rolls in time to the beat and his direction. What sticks out the most to your soulmate, though, is the way Jungkook’s arm reaches over you, and in turn your head follows his arm movement, a sly smirk on your face as you turn your whole body to face him and maintain eye contact.

In Jihoon’s opinion, Jungkook looks like he’s about to pounce on you, and you don’t look too far off from returning the sentiment. He feels a pit forming in his stomach once more. His intrusive thoughts are cut short when the chorus of dancers in the room all scream excitedly at the chemistry between you and Mingyu’s best friend, causing the both of you to break character and start laughing. Jungkook puckers his lips playfully, causing you to roll your eyes and push Jungkook towards the cameraman, Mingyu with a smile and a shake of your head.

Jesus Christ, Jihoon. He thinks to himself. You really need to get your shit together. You can’t get jealous over a girl you don’t even want.

This is bullshit. Jihoon doesn’t actually like you. This is some stupid soulmate related shit. He read up about feeling closer connections because of the soulmate bond; that has to be it. His mind is just playing tricks on him.

With a sigh, Jihoon locks his phone screen and places it face down on his bedside table, rolling over and pulling the blankets up to his chin. He squeezes his eyes shut in an attempt to try and get some sleep and get the lingering thoughts about you out of his head.

“Do you think we should do the presentation as an essay or a slideshow debate style?”

It has been a week since Jihoon has last seen you, and if he’s honest, he’s been avoiding any place where you have been frequenting when he could. So far, he’s denied a morning coffee date with Ji-ah, a gaming night at your place with Soonyoung, and purposely showed up early to Film Studies class to sit at a random desk, leaving you to sit alone at the front. He’s decided enough is enough, he needs to keep this relationship strictly professional if he wants to maintain his relationship with Ji-ah. It’s now Friday afternoon, the only time where Jihoon absolutely has to be in your presence in order to get this project rolling.

“Hmm?” Jihoon blinks, looking up from his laptop, eyebrows raised. “Uhh.. you can pick.”

“Okay.” You hum quietly, looking back at your own laptop, continuing to work in silence.

Jihoon can feel the worry in your stomach, but he ignores it. He can be professional and cordial with you and not get feelings involved. He can’t, he won’t.

“What points have you made so far, so I can add them to my list to rebut?” Another bout of silence runs through both of you, and you notice that either your soulmate didn’t hear you, or is choosing to ignore you. “Jihoon-ssi?”

“Sorry?” He keeps typing, not lifting his head.

“Have I done something wrong?” You ask, closing your computer screen.

“What?” Jihoon stops now, looking up at you. “Why would you think that?”

Jihoon is floored for a moment. You’re a bit too observant for your own good. He opens his mouth to speak, but you keep going.

“And look, I get it. I’m the last person you would want to be around. I’m already jeopardizing everything you have with your girlfriend and everything else in this stupid situation, but I thought we were okay.” Your knee is shaking under the table, staring at the chipped wood instead of looking up at his face. “I know I’m already insufferable and you would prefer to be anywhere else but here. You know what…” you shake your head now, taking your laptop. “This was a mistake. I shouldn’t have put you in this crappy situation. I shouldn’t have been so stupid to think that we could be civil with each other. I will go see Professor Kim and tell him that we can’t work together and you can find someone else and I’ll just finish this project on my ow-”

Your soulmate cuts off your babbling by grabbing your wrist before you can stand up completely. His grip is firm but gentle as you fall silent, blinking the unshed tears from your eyes as you finally look at him.

This is the first time you have had skin to skin contact with your soulmate since that fateful day in the rain. You involuntarily shiver as you feel a zap run up the back of your spine, and your soulmate shivers in unison.

“I’m sorry.” He murmurs, keeping his hold on your wrist. “I am just going through some shit. It’s not you, I promise Y/N.” His gaze is intense as he looks into your eyes, your cheeks flushing. “I’m sorry if it made you think I was mad at you or something, I’m just in my own head right now.”

“I’m sorry,” you frown.

“Why? You didn’t do anything wrong. Just exist.”

“That’s the point.” You whisper now. “I exist. I am a wedge in the way of so many people right now. I know Cheol and Hannie want to plan on getting married soon but I still live in that house. Seokmin and Soonyoung only invite me to things because they feel sorry for me, and I feel bad even being in the same room with you knowing you love someone else.” Jihoon feels another crack hit your heart. “I just exist and am an issue for so many people. I’m more than happy to do this project alone, Jihoon-ssi.” You move to take your wrist out of his grip, but he just holds on tighter.

“I can’t speak for the others, but if I had an issue with you being my partner for this project, I would have gone to Professor Kim myself. I’m fine to do this project with you, Y/N, and I’m sorry if I made you think otherwise. Please, can you sit?”

You pause, watching your soulmate nervously before taking a long breath, slowly nodding and slipping back into your chair.

“I’m sorry for my outburst.” You mumble, rubbing at your eyes. “I get too far into my negative thoughts and…”

“It’s okay, I get it. And again, I can’t speak for the others, but from what I hear from Soonyoung, he and Seokmin are more than happy to have you around, if that makes you feel any better.”

You only nod silently, biting down on your bottom lip.

“Here, these are my notes.” He pushes his computer towards you, raising his eyebrows hopefully.

Jihoon may want to be civil and professional, but he’d be damned if he made a girl cry, no matter who it is.

“Have we got everything?”

Jihoon grumbles a tired ‘yes’ to Wonwoo, alongside Mingyu, Chan and Ji-ah as they carry their camping packs towards your house around the corner.

It has been two weeks since your supposed outburst in front of Jihoon. Since then, you have been quite reluctant and withdrawn when you have to speak with him, but to him, it’s expected. He chooses to just go with the flow when it comes to you, and let his instincts guide him, which seemingly has been going okay so far.

The sun is barely beginning to rise in the sky, Soonyoung lecturing all attendees for ‘Choi Seungcheol’s Birthday Bash’ to be at your house bright and early at 6:30am to be on the road by 7:00 for the four hour drive.

“The sun is barely up, I don’t know why I have to be.” Jihoon hears a groan from Seokmin as they see a large bus parked on the curb.

“Because you love hyung, and you want to be ready to have a fun trip with the people you love.” A tired, monotone voice coming from Jeonghan responds. There are three sleepy bodies standing outside, putting the camping gear in the luggage compartment underneath the bus. The three said bodies are Seokmin, Jeonghan and a chirpy Soonyoung, who happily waves when he sees his best friend show up.

“You made it!” He cheers happily.

“Mm.” Jihoon mumbles as he places his bags in the luggage area, Ji-ah leaning forward and giving him a soft kiss on the cheek.

“Soonyoung,” she smiles. “Thank you for inviting me along!”

“Oh, it’s nothing!” He waves his hand happily with a smile. “Really, the more the merrier! Go hop on and find a seat, we’re just about to take off.”

Jihoon is the last person of his housemates to step onto the bus as he eyes the seats. As he expected, the usual pairs of soulmates are together. Mingyu is with Wonwoo, just behind a sleepy Seungkwan and Hansol. Ji-ah takes a seat across from Mingyu and Wonwoo, Jihoon slipping in easily beside her. He eyes the next row of seats towards the front of the bus as he sees Chan sitting alone, Seokmin and Soonyoung taking place across from him. His eyes widen as he sees his last roommate, Junhui, step onto the bus with a tall man behind him, cheeks pink as they walk hand in hand. Said tall man adjusts his glasses with his free hand, his long dark hair pulled back in a ponytail.

“Oh, that’s why he hasn’t been home lately.” Wonwoo grins, eyebrows wiggling.

“Minghao is his soulmate?!” Mingyu grins excitedly. “Oh my gosh, wait until Y/N sees.”

At the mention of your name, you step onto the bus with Kkuma in your arms, eyes scanning the seats. Jihoon takes in the floral yellow dress you’re wearing with your hair pulled back into two braids tied with a yellow ribbon, cheeks tinting pink.

When you make eye contact with Mingyu, you mouth ‘MINGHAO?!’ with exaggerated wide eyes, which only garners a giggle and aggressive nod from Mingyu. You shoot him an impressed look which makes him laugh again, before taking a single seat diagonally across from Jihoon and Ji-ah alone, placing Kkuma on the empty seat beside you.

Seokmin and Soonyoung take their seats in front of you, before Jeonghan steps on with the birthday boy in tow.

“Okay everyone, are we ready to go?” Jeonghan calls out, smiling as everyone nods or mumbles a yes. “Then we are right on schedule!”

“Birthday bash!” Soonyoung starts to chant. “Birthday bash! Birthday bash!”

You start to giggle as the others start chanting, Seungcheol shaking his head with a fond grin, taking place in the front passenger seat as Jeonghan takes the driver’s seat.

Dear God, Jihoon thinks as Soonyoung cheers loudly, causing Chan to burst into giggles. This is going to be a long four hours.

naomi - without the jacket its maybe just so so, but an absolute banger with the jacket on. should be remembered as a historically significant kit for tennis fashion. and the headphones ohmygawd 🥺🥺🥺 who ever think this kit is not cute can fight me

maria - whenever she gets a tank top kit she serves hard. nice colour choice and skirt design by addidas (cant believe im saying that) so sad it only existed for 1 set 😭

marta - wilson just going with the 1 dress design that worked well in every slam and its still working well. the skirt's texure looked so nice in the wind

dasha & karo - a bit boring but suits their vibes well

qinwen - same. would like some brighter colours but was fine

katie & bibi - the actual best nike WTA kit. lilac looks cute especially under sunlight, but the design is a bit too boring for me

elena - colour is cute, she looks like a barbie in pink, but 0 design and 0 sense in the patterning choice. looks like some swim suit my mom would buy me when I was 10

The origins of gyaru possibly go back to the 1980s when all-girl biker gangs ruled Tokyo’s streets. Their hardcore style, attitude and rites of passage like graduation ceremonies, very much remind us of the gyaru of today. Even more so they embodied a rebellious spirit, now referred to as gyaru maindo (gyaru mind). The magazine “Teen’s Road” that brought this biker style to small town schoolgirls. Over time, leather jackets and boiler suits with kanji lettering became a more mainstream trend and real biker girls got angry at posers! Teen’s Road eventually ended because the staff were “tired of being physically assaulted by the readers” and some biker girls were even kidnapped.

At the same time, elite university clubs were throwing parties in Shibuya with organisers known as chiimaa (teamers). These well-to-do chiimaa regularly hit the dance floor instead of hitting the books. Chiimaa’s girlfriends mimicked LA beach style and earned the nickname paragyaru or “paradise girls”. Paragyaru didn’t know yet but their dress sense would inspire what was to follow in the 1990s,

Kogyaru (“ko” meaning “little” or “kid”) appeared in the 1990s. The name is believed to have originated as bouncer slang to describe the high school paragyaru girls who tried to sneak into clubs by dressing older. Affluent high school girls with chestnut coloured dyed hair (chapatsu), short school skirts, designer uniform blazers, oversized cardigans and modest tans were the trendsetters of the time. Loose white socks and white eye makeup were the cherry on top! But why were high school girls wearing their uniform after school? It was actually a popular ploy for rich schools to entice new freshmen with the fashionable designer uniforms. Girls wanted to be seen wearing their blazer and skirt after school as a marker of style, school pride and as a symbol of youth.

High schoolers eventually took over department store Shibuya109. Anything bought there was considered kogyaru style, like crop tops from Me Jane and Esperanza platform sandals. Many of the first kogyaru began to work at 109 shops becoming well-known gyaru fashionistas, dubbed “super charisma clerks” (スーパーカリスマ店員). Celebrities like singer Amuro Namie with her natural kogyaru appearance placed gyaru style into the mainstream’s consciousness. She had a natural Okinawan tan, light brown hair and wore white lipstick. Her stage outfits mimicked 109 style, and so Amuro fans thinned their eyebrows, wore chunky platform boots and colourful belly tops in admiration. That earned them the nickname Amuraa (Amuro admirers) which crossed over with gyaru style.

In 1995, Egg magazine launched as the number one source of gyaru fashion and lifestyle. After all, gyaru didn’t care what others thought about them and they took pleasure in being loud, sex-positive and even developed their own slang. Egg magazine took street snaps of kogyaru who sometimes went on to become regular models, for example Rumi Itabashi and Kaoru Watanabe. Meanwhile, purikura launched in 1995 with the idea for business professionals to take miniature portraits of themselves for their business cards. No one foresaw them becoming super popular in gyaru culture, with pages and pages dedicated to them in Egg.

Adults were worried about Japan’s declining national character in the late 1990s. Kogyaru with their gyaru mind ethos were targeted and chastised for their alleged practice of enjo kōsai (compensated dating). Growing up with new tech like pokeberu (early pagers) and terekura (telephone clubs), these women gained more independence but also new ways to wreak havoc. For example, terekura were created to connect men and women who wanted to date. But when kogyaru called in to the terekura, they set the men up on a date just to stand them up.

Teenage girls were also widely viewed as serial shopaholics. People thought that they wouldn’t think twice about selling their worn underwear to businessmen for money! Even though only a handful of kogyaru did this, the media didn’t care! Kogyaru were the face of “shameful” public morals. But the more the media covered enjo kōsai, the more schoolgirls congregated in Shibuya’s streets to make big bucks! In the end teenage prostitution became associated with kogyaru style.

After a decade of kogyaru mania, new substyles and gyaru circles emerged. One of the most prominent gyaru circles was Angeleek. Angeleek primarily wore a style of gyaru called ganguro, which were gyaru who darkened their skin. Other substyles like mamba and yamanba evolved out of ganguro. Yamanba wore the darkest foundation they could get their hands on, wore extreme white eyeliner, harsh nose contour and decorated their cheeks with gems and flowers. They liked tropical, beachy clothes and floral accessories. It was dramatic and yamanba were impossible to ignore! But by the early 2000s there was a sudden decline in these more extreme styles. Due to the style’s unsavory reputation, girls turned to other substyles of gyaru or stopped being gyaru completely. Egg even took a break from publishing for a few months. Was this the end?

Not exactly! Egg and other gyaru magazines returned as the mid-2000s brought about an unexpected gyaru renaissance. In 2005, another magazine called Ageha was launched. It was aimed at gyaru Hostesses who called their style agejo. By 2008, gyaru was thriving and there were so many genres of gyaru and the style became more popular internationally. Styles like hime-gyaru, hime-kaji, onee-gyaru, rokku-gyaru and ame-kaji entered the scene. Tsubasa Masuwaka, a prominent gyaru figure at the time, was featured on both gyaru and non-gyaru magazine covers. She also launched a makeup and false lashes line called Dolly Wink which is still popular today!

The late 2000s to mid 2010s saw a more laid back toned-down look. Gradually, girls lost interest in the style and Egg and Ageha ceased publication. Gyaru brands followed the magazines by toning down or rebranding. In 2014, Alisa Ueno’s brand Fig&Viper was dubbed as neo-gyaru in an article by ViVi magazine which sparked some debate. Many gyaru did not view this brand as gyaru and Alisa Ueno herself admitted that she never called her brand neo-gyaru.

Not many other styles have lasted as long, or made so many comebacks. From the biker gangs of the 1980s to the yamanba of the 2000s, gyaru fashion has gone through many changes. Some even claim we are in a post-gyaru era! Will it ever become a mainstream fashion again? Who knows, but in the meantime we’ll be rehearsing our Para Para dance moves!

being close friends with phoebe the two of you love to share clothes. you could be seen wearing one of the boys tour merch hoodies that belonged to phoebe. pb could be spotted by fans with one of your oversized button up’s on.

fans have dedicated twitter accounts like “PHOEBE BRIDGERS WARDROPE!” and it’s all updates on what clothes she is seen wearing and where to buy them, how much. but 99.99% of them are yours that you made first edition so most people get repeats “phoebe was photographed with a fan wearing readers hoodie!”

you and lucy are almost just almost the same as phoebe. the both of you love going shopping picking up clothes both of you end up liking snd the other ends up buying it. knowing it’ll be swapped back and forth between each other.

you and julien have similar style it’s almost a bit harder to tell when you wear the same clothes.

julien stays over so much at your apartment, her clothes end up having their own little designated area in your closet. same goes for you.

your first show on tour you walk out in a pink tshirt that fans realise is the same shirt julien was seen in the not strong enough mv. it suited you a lot. you ended up adding it to your own collection.

however fear not. julien takes something of yours also. both of you swapping and trading clothes like pokémon cards. she ends up taking a bunch of band t-shirts belonging to you. cutting them up to be a bit shorter / chopping off the sleeves. you didn’t really care, it suited jb and you’re all here for upcycling

Sooo I made collages and basically like an essay i went a bit overboard (oops)

So I thought hard about what the ROs look like and my biggest thing was that I wanted to make sure the gender selectable ROs still have their own unique presence and they're not some interchangeable variable. Gina and Griffin dress pretty differently and have a different identity, especially when you consider what it means to be a woman in the music industry (some context changes in the story if you choose Gina instead of Griffin, some of her actions are out of her feeling like she has just as much right to take space in a male-dominated art form, especially given that she is also married to Victoria, a woman)

Griffin does not have this problem since he's 1) a man and 2) he and Victoria present heterosexual

GRIFFIN/GINA

G either dresses like the textbook definition of a 'rockstar' with the leather and fishnets and ripped jeans and all orrrr like a 18th century era gothic victorian butler. Literally no in-between.

For both Gina and Griffin, having so many tattoos becomes part of their image. Griffin wears a lot of muscle tees while Gina wears a lot of sleeveless tops, halter tops, corsets, anything that really enhances their arm sleeve.

The middle is the Victorian Butler style I mentioned lol, since they both dress like that as their "formal" attire or for shows. A lot of ruffles, very 18th century gothic. One thing is that I feel like Gina wears more red, she wears more tight fitting clothes, lower cut clothes. Griffin's shirts are also pretty revealing, very much low-cut V's, muscle tees that show the side of his whole chest. G isn't shy about the human body and they've gotten shirtless on stage many times (both male and female/ think Victoria from Måneskin.)

That slowed down a bit since Misfit Alley went mainstream. Their label and team had them tone down a bit to be more digestable to the masses.

Their hair is long for both female and male. Griffin keeps his in a loose knot/bun at his neck, and Gina does the same, but also a single braid down her back (sometimes).

Some things that they wear often: a lot of rings, G has knuckle tattoos and they wear a lot of jewelry. They have a signature leather jacket that's pretty roughed up, wear a nose ring, and pretty scruffed up boots.

SEVEN

Female Seven and Male Seven dress pretty similarly. Seven dresses more grunge and Kurt Cobain was the direct inspiration for Seven's style. Female Seven also dresses a bit like an art teacher lol

A lot of oversized clothes, slouchy, worn bigger, muted colors, a lot of layers. Female! Seven wears a lot of long skirts, cardigans, funky patterns, big boots. They dress pretty much the same both on and off stage.

At first male!seven was going to have short cropped hair but it doesn't suit him. His hair is more like:

very messy and such yeah. female! Seven keeps her hair down, kinda messy and looks uncombed (seven is very clean i promise lmao)

Things they wear often: Seven sometimes fingerless gloves, part of it because they can cover the tattoo of MC's initials, but sometimes they forgo it completely. Sometimes it's a whole arm sleeve. Surprisingly, Seven doesn't have a LOT of tattoos, it's more dainty, tiny meaningful tattoos scattered around their body.

AUGUST

August is like Seven in that they wear big, slouchy clothes but where they differ is that August is more academic and put together. They also like to wear the art teacher skirts. Scoopneck sweaters, cargo pants, and they prefer long-sleeve and long bottoms, usually they don't have much skin showing.

Things they are always seen wearing: headphones around the neck, they dont go anywhere without them.

ORION

Orion is pretty self-explanatory. He wears mostly slacks, sleek boots and a vest. Very professional dressing. If he is going to wear something casual, it'll be something like the right. Still fancy pants, but a clean black shirt. You won't really see him in anything less than 'business casual.'

SEBASTIAN

I don't know how else to describe Seb's style as anything other than just basic. A T-shirt and jeans and he's good to go. Even the images I chose are a bit too stylish for him. Like, he's really just a basic guy. He doesn't think too hard on his outer appearance. Literally just...a Guy.

Even funnier when he's surrounded by people wearing fishnet tights and chains and a bunch of patterns and accessories like he stands out, oddly enough lol

The image in the middle isn't exactly how he looks in my head, but pretty close. Just a very unassuming but kind looking person. Also his hair is like that, just golden blond.

VICTORIA

Victoria has a very classically simple style. Sleek lines, tight dresses. It's not too out there, unlike G. Very simple. She dresses a bit like the second picture for G's shows, a bit edgier and leaning a little into the flamboyance. She tends to set trends and is looked at in Hollywood as someone pretty stylish. Victoria's body type is on the curvy side, more the farthest right than the other three, a bit bustier. She's a simple but effective dresser.

She loves heels, loves a square neck (farthest right). she loves a good form-fitting dress lol

This is difficult to answer because I love a lot of things about Chief. Hmmmm... I like his competence and ability to roll with the craziest bullshit. Yes, some stuff the Varia pulls will have him stumped especially when he's tired (brain takes longer to process things) but he will put his confusion and questions on the back burner and just get shit done. I'm a sucker for competent people Ein, it's one of my weaknesses 😔

☁️- What is this oc's clothing style like?

Dan isn't really a fashionable person, he prefers comfort and practicality over style. He wears the Housekeeping uniform while working (so pretty much 24/7 OTL). The standard uniform looks a bit formal, it's basically dress pants (black), dress shirt (depends on division but as Chief of Staff Dan's shirt is also black) and Varia boots. Since Dan wears his uniform a lot it kind of misleads people into thinking that it's his prefered way of dressing but it's not. His personal style is way more casual. Hoodies and sweaters, cargopants (he lives for the cargo pants, he needs the pockets so bad), mostly in earth tones. Green, brown and grey are his go to colours sometimes he mixes in some black. 🌼- What's your favorite thing about this oc?

My favourite thing for Dave is his complexity. He started of as just some silly comic relief with his comments in the Guide but he quickly grew into a very complicated character with lots of layers and hurts. I like how he developed into someone life like, someone who's a lot little bit broken, hiding the his true self under a mask.

☁️- What is this oc's clothing style like?

Dave also wears the Housekeeping uniform while working but unlike anyone else in the division he doesn't stick to one shirt colour. Dave exists in a weird twilight zone where nobody actually knows what his place is. He's just ghosting around in Housekeepings command structure doing whatever he likes which includes wearing all the different shirt colours of the different departments lmao.

As for personal style... It varies on mood, he often goes with punk deliquent kinda style, ripped jeans, lots of jewellery, leather jacket, fishnet, matching the chaos gremlin energy. But sometimes he likes something soft and cozy too, with oversized sweaters and slacks. Again it depends on what he feels like in the morning. Just know that Dave is pretty fasionable (unlike me and Chief OTL) and cares a lot about his appearance.

I love Marina's ambition and ruthlessness. She's a powerful woman, but not for her abilities in battle. No, Marina fights with words and social influence. Sweet praise, hiding dripping poison underneath. Nudging someone in the right direction with just a few comments. A manipulator in the shadows, often dismissed as just another pretty face (which she fully takes advantage of). Politics is her playground and oh boy is she winning at it.

I love strong female characters but I wanted Marina to have a different kind of strength. So yes, she's ruthless and has high ambitions, but she fulfils her desires in a social setting instead of in a fighting one.

☁️- What is this oc's clothing style like?

Marina is pure elegance. Beautiful dresses, nice pair of heels. Often times simple but still stunning. Her usual go to are dresses and skirts but she also rocks a pant suit occasionally. Colourwise she's not that picky but tends to go for warm colours over cold ones. (She's also fond of green like Dan).

Design Notes

-Did research on Junior Highschool attire for Japan, The dress she wears normally is actually meant for Elementary. So I switched it out, I decided to steal the neck shoulder thing from her Rebuilt Design, it's kinda like some weird amalgamation of the normal Sailor suit thing.

-Since she has gone home already, you would think she would have gotten a jacket or something to bring the umbrella right? Decided that the Jacket was a gift from Satoshi, it's Merch from "Bad Evil Bunny" and has a Decal on the back.

-They rabbit on her headband is also a merch piece from "Bad Evil Bunny". Satsuki has a matching Patch that's on her uniform skirt!

Personality Notes

-Yuka Though being 14 has a more childish air to her. She often takes a liking to things that are geared towards younger children. Stuffed animals, toys, cartoons/anime. Often waking up early in the morning on weekends to catch an episode of pokemon or Tokyo mew mew while eating breakfast.

-She takes a liking to Stationary, More cutesy items like Pusheen and pokemon pens, pencils, notebooks, sticky notes, and pencases.

-She is introverted like straight up "Fuck new people", For like the first semester of Middle school people thought she was Mute because she never talked to anyone, that was till Her and Satsuki met and bonded over a shared interest of "Bad Evil Bunny". If you where to ask anyone else, they would say Yuka was an absolute Hermit but Satsuki would say otherwise. She'd say she would be the most energetic person ever.

-She has an horrible fear of Larger dogs, she can deal with smaller breeds such as the Shiba Inu but anything bigger and she'll be avoiding it like the plague.

-She really likes oversized and baggy clothing, her uniform is a bit larger so it can hang over her hands. Has a tendency to steal Satoshi's hoodie's or jackets sometimes because of that.

-She is the type of student that is always either sleeping, doodling, or daydreaming during class and somehow still has straight As

Relationship notes

Satoshi: Older brother! And older brother only- she loves him a lot but often gets annoyed when he forgets things and she has to bring it to him. She often refers to him as Toshi or Shi-Shi when they are at home.

Naomi: Sees her as an Older sister since she's been around since Yuka was born. Much like Satoshi, Naomi has a nickname as well. Usually it's Mimi. Yuka may or may not use Naomi as a way to get sweets every now and again whenever she can't get Satoshi to get her any.

Satsuki: BFF in and out of school, often drags Satsuki along to hang out with her and Satoshi's Freinds. She questions where the fuck she keeps her infinite supply of Potato chips.

Seiko: Finds her weird with some of the stuff she dose to Naomi and Satoshi, but when it's just Yuka and her they have a pretty nice time since Sekio's Mother hen instincts kick in.

Kishinuma: They bicker alot- like their love language towards each other is just pure aggression, they throw snide remarks at each other 24/7. But when it comes down to it Kishinuma would put his life on the line for Yuka

Mayu: Became real good Freinds after learning of their shared love of cutesy things, They trade Pokemon cards togeather and have so cosplayed togeather

Morishige: He creeps her out, more so because of his blank stare and indifferent personality to anyone that isn't Mayu.

Ayumi: Finds her kinda scary, she's sat in on some of her scary stories and they are usually too much for her. She dose like her candles though.

Ms. Yui: has only really met her once or twice so there is no real connection until the prank they played on Satoshi n Co at the begining of corpse party

FUCK YES I finally have time to answer this! (I have been thinking about it ALL DAY). Cumulus and Swiss are crop-top besties. They are both so happy in a nice loose cropped T. Swiss usually pairs his with a pair of low slung jeans. Cumulus loves a pair of spandex shorts and some legwarmers. Cirrus and Dew are punk rock girlfriends. Ripped skinny jeans (Dew's are always black). Band T-'s. A lot of over sized T shirts with the sleeves cut off (you know the type). Doc Martens or Converse. Cirrus an oversized flannel punk--Dew is a well worn beat up leather jacket punk. Mountain's jeans are old and loose and nearly threadbare. Most of his t-shirts are solid color. A lot of them have holes in the underarm or the shoulder but they're so god damn comfortable and soft. (Rain steals them). Aurora and Rain both like simple elegance mixed with a little bit of grunge. Converse paired with a nice skirt or a pair of creased pants. Nice button down shirts, or expensive looking blouses with a leather jacket or a flannel over them. They are: Ripped up black jeans, and heeled suede boots, and a suit jacket over a crop top. Or an oversized T-shirt over shorts and high heels. Sunshine loves overalls. Don't ask me why. Typically just wears a crop top under them, or nothing. Loves the shorts ones the best. Never wears a bra--refuses to. Steals a lot of sleeveless T's from Cirrus and Dew and sports a lot of side-boob. Also loves really short jean shorts. And has been known to walk around in only an oversized t-shirt. Aether is easy. He is happy in loose comfortable jeans or sweatpants and whatever shirt he finds in his dresser. He does love to wear a button-up shirt every once in a while though. Undoes the first few buttons and watches people stare at his chest hair. Aeon likes to experiment. Loves to steal clothes. Has stolen so many pairs of Cirrus' leggings she's just started buying double and giving him some. Wears a lot of oversized T's (Aether's) and skinny jeans. Always converse. Loves a big comfy hoodie. A style chameleon, it really does change depending on the day. He really likes stealing dresses from Aurora though--he thinks he looks great in them.

Jeongyeon (FN), Sunmi (DC), SinB (SN)

I think that this is pretty much a no-brainer. Jeongyeon's outfit is the best styled for her ID. There's continuous vertical and 'heaviness' to the outfit that works for her, while Sunmi and SinB look a little 'lost' by comparison. Sunmi as a classic is easily overwhelmed by styles that are too relaxed/disproportionate. SinB, being in the natural family, looks a bit more at home in her outfit, but it's missing the softness/lightness that an SN needs, and you can see how the outfit, which might be ideal for FN/D, overwhelms her frame.

Wheein (SN), Taeyeon (SG)

Both versions of the dress are well-fitted to these ladies' kibbe types. Taeyeon's in particular does a great job of taking a dress that seems large and ruffled and making it more wearable for her more compact frame, the low-cut front with the contrasting black boots is perfect for a gamine with a 'natural' essence. Wheein can handle the flow of the longer dress as a SN, and her hair is perfect for her type/essence as well, although like SinB, she's an SN and doesn't have the same vertical as a tall type, so a line break, like maybe a black belt to break it up would look better, again, so her body isn't so swamped by the long, uninterrupted dress.

Ryujin (SN), Yoona (SD)

Here's a good example of the same garment being styled to two vastly different essences. As a moderate soft natural, Ryujin looks right at home in the slightly-oversized jean jacket and simple ensemble. The jacket is a little clunky/heavy for Yoona's recommendations as an SD, but her hair and her flowy dress makes the outfit work quite well, as it plays off her soft, feminine essence.

Lisa (FN), Yuna (D)

This is a great example of the difference between frame dominance (FN) and length/vertical dominance (D). Lisa just looks *right* in the oversized outfit, it works with her frame and even her face/essence. Yuna has that sharply pointed dramatic look to her, and the bagginess of the sweatsuit only highlights her comparatively narrow frame.

Seulgi (FG), Yeji (D), Soyeon (FG)

This is probably the best example in this post of tailoring one piece to different IDs. The jacket, being straight/boxy, is great for yang types, both FGs and Ds. Seulgi and Soyeon break up the look with contrasted pieces/ accessories that are still relatively yang/straight while complementing their compactness. Yeji wears a monochromatic black outfit under the jacket, which highlights her elongated lines as a dramatic.

IU (SC), Seulgi (FG)

IU does a great job of dressing quirky pieces in a way that really suits her as a classic who requires some sense of moderation. Her lines are right, the outfit is symmetrical and well-tailored, and all her accessories help give the outfit a sense of moderation rather than chaos. Seulgi's outfit is much more editorial looking, and even though it's much more 'gamine-esque' at first glance, I actually don't think it's a great silhouette for her. The shapes of the coat and the skirt are so bulky and oversize, you can see with how narrow her shoulders look vs the coat that it's not honouring her smaller frame. As a result, she looks smaller than she is, and the outfit is too big.

Nigel- Well, Nigel is weird because his canon clothing choices are baffling. But you gotta respect it. Shorts in the winter?? Sure. I think Nigel always leans towards looking "put together". Even his most casual outfits will have a clean, sharp quality to them. I definitely subscribe to the idea that he wears leather jackets as a teenager, but as he gets older his style becomes more like "library employee". Sweater vests and always an ironed pair of slacks. Cozy but classy sweaters.

Another important point about what Nigel wears is that he converts to Judaism as an adult when he marries Lizzie. So throw in some cute fair-isle kippahs.

I always imagined Nigel prefers muted colors, of course leaning towards warmer palettes.

Nigel's formal and casual outfits definitely overlap, but we see in the show that he enjoys dressing black tie given the opportunity (though, notably with a bowtie, not a necktie haha). So in a very formal setting, he's breaking out the James Bond style suits.

Hoagie- I had to rethink the way I make Hoagie dress after my gender headcanons changed for her rather dramatically. But in high school, it's the same because she's not fully out yet. She relies on button down shirts with fun patterns and ironic graphic tees so that she doesn't have to spend much time thinking about what she's wearing, and during this time in particular, I imagine she had a somewhat emo-lite style going on (a lot of black in that waredrobe).

After she starts dressing in a way that's more comfortable for her, I like to draw her in loose, comfortable blouses. I think she still prefers pants over skirts so that she can move freely. And a comfortable pair of sneakers or loafers with added support is important.

This is again a circumstance where casual and formal outfits can overlap. I could see Hoagie not being very good with dressing very formal, preferring to be comfortable. I need to play around with all these ideas for her though.

Kuki- Big, oversized, comfy!!!!!! and CUTE!!!! She loves skirts and tights, not a huge fan of pants but will wear shorts if she has to (shorts with thick leggings underneath if it's cold out). She likes her clothes to be roomy for sensory reasons, and she loves to flap her long sleeves. Another sensory thing is texture- the clothes that touch her skin gotta be soft. I project a lot of my sensory particularities onto her, so she hates denim and any thin, plasticy feeling material. She won't wear something if it's not cute. Bright colors are preferred.

She loves dressing up as a teenager. Knee-length prom-style dresses with frills and glitter are fun!

As she grows up, she has to dress more refined. She still doesn't wear pants, preferring dress suits instead. She doesn't actually like wearing dress suits, but she has to for work. The second she gets home, the comfy clothes come on. There's always a little trace of her personality still on her work and formal clothes as an adult- a little hint of color or something.

Wally- This kid barely gets any new clothes through his adolescence. His sweatshirts and pants are all old, worn out, dirty and gross. This is partially because his parents can't afford much, but he's also resistant to change like that. He likes the clothes he has, they're comfortable and worn-in. He doesn't like the idea of new stuff. Wally likes oversized clothes, too. Baggy sweatshirts and baggy blue jeans. His jeans either have to be hemmed shorter by his mom or they get all muddy and ripped up at the bottom, because they're too long for him. He doesn't care about looking "good", he only cares about looking "like a boy" (based on his own definition of what that means).

Don't bother asking him to dress nice for a formal event. He's just gonna show up in one of these:

In med school and as a doctor, he has to conform to some degree. I've always had this ridiculous headcanon that in med school he starts wearing polo shirts with popped collars, like a classic douchebag. He starts caring about his clothes getting ruined, because clothes have become a status symbol thing to him, and also because he's not used to the idea of "just buying new ones". His clothes still stay comfortable as much as possible, though. He will wear jeans and a t-shirt any time he can. And of course, scrubs are a must. As an adult, he can get through a formal event, but only just barely. He will never know what he's doing in that regard.

Abby- She's a stud, this is so important to my version of her. Her style is kind of "butch-athletic", with relaxed jeans, big t-shirts, jerseys and jackets. And nice sneakers.

top toot : triciaisabirdy. that floor length white floral gown was made for her. the colours compliment her skin tone and her tattoos the puff sleeves added a bit of flair to the bodice to distinguish it from the other sweetheart neckline gowns that were popular on the carpet the makeup was minimalist but effective her tattoos almost acted in place of necklaces or other accessories she looked fantastic

top boot : ranboo i just don’t get along with that mask . there was too much going on in one area everything interesting about the outfit was centred around his neck and sternum the red were all slightly different shades the idea was good i liked the idea of the colours but execution needed work .

Thank you! Half of it is me taking inspo from other kda artists, and as I got to know them as characters I started drawing them the way I saw them. A lot of their looks and outfits are based off of their personalities and notes I took from official artworks

Ahri - she's a leader, soft but knows when to take charge and guide her group. I went for a lighter blonde with her hair and less vibrant pink (to show time has passed since the 'MORE' era) and her whiskers are a more pink tone in the kdaverse than her runterra red. Kept her eyes gold at all times and her pupils are slits, but are often dilated. Fashion wise I noticed she might not like getting overheated/shows a lot of skin, so it's easy to pick fits for her. Pinks, nudes, denim, satin, fitted with a hint of sparkle and a touch of classy, but comfortable all around

Evelynn - second in command, dark and mysterious. She's expressive and creative (in her own way) with a "look at me" aura. I immediately locked into @linaisbluepancake version of Evelynn and never looked back. I hc Eve as black/afro Latina. Her freckles were from a quick zoom in on her MORE splash art, I just doubled how many she had. With hair I went more into a lavender tone thank pink, and I actually like the idea of her having a short curly pixie cut, but she changes it in public. Physical build I went for pear shaped(more hips n booty) instead of hourglass and gave my gal a tummy. Fashion is dark colors, leather, and latex. Lingerie is often worn as clothes (ex. bra=shirt) she prefers skirts and leggings to actual pants (anything that hugs her hips) and big jackets/blazers

Kai'sa - idk why, but I always saw Kai'sa with tan skin, and her accent just really sealed the deal she'd be from South Africa. I think she's really just that one ambiguously mixed kid in school, it suits her to me. Made her taller than in lore (she reaches nearly 6 ft instead of 5'6) and musclesss. Also gave her a more slanted nose, and for me her prime asset is them big ol peepers. Makes the deer nickname have a more obvious origin. Fashion taste is simple, easy to move around in fabrics and crop tops. She's like a more sporty vers. of Eve. Darker colors, turtlenecks, workout clothes, hardly ever anything too tight and those shoulders must be seen

Finally Akali - I heavily prefer Akali's tanned skin in both runterra lore and her pop/stars era. I think she dyes her hair often, and shaves her sides/has an undercut here n there. She's got scars mostly on her upper body and arms, and if you squint there's freckles there. Deep red brown eyes and small triangular eyebrows. Fashion style is more tomboyish. Having a taste for street wear(bay area style), tech wear, easy to throw on clothes. Likes oversized anything, and has an eye for color blocking in her looks. Often seen in orange, reds, off whites, black and blues and loves accessories

Justine's helping because she's really good at sewing and considering what a precise process it is and Noah's hands being in an utterly dreadful state he needs assistance. Ben can't do anything bc EL bit him.

Justine is very frightened and Noah has to be like WE GOTTA DO THIS GIRL!!! Of course he comforts her later bc he traumatized this poor girl but at the moment he's reallllly stressed.

I don't know where to put this but EL!!! He behaves very uncannily. His movements are janky and his eyes are big and glossy and dollike. They're all kinda creeped out by him but assume he's just a traumatized child...

EL is a boy genius partially because he read up on Victor's book collection and has good memory. He's also insanely endurant and while we know he's a Nepe zombie, they don't. So this is just seen as an extra benefit.

The reason they don't suspect him to be one is because they couldn't find any visible bite marks on his body + he looks normal enough because of his high stability.

A quick call about leather fits and Legolas' dad with Lee Pace

“Times have changed a bit, and the world recognises that there's not just one kind of man out there.”

Lee Pace, who is currently on the press tour for the second series of the Apple TV galactic epic Foundation, loves to get dressed up. The guy with the devastatingly good ‘brows is known for having fun with his clothes. We recently saw The Hobbit alum wear an armour-like leather tabard under a suit while promoting the upcoming miniseries in London, and not long before, the 6’5 actor showed off his calves in a pleated skirt in a GQ from 2020. “I'm still learning though,” Pace, who's midway through getting changed, says via Zoom from the Intercontinental hotel in Paris ahead of the Thom Browne haute couture show. “I don't really know the boundaries of getting dressed, or if there even are any. That leather look last week just felt sexy. I felt sexy.”

44-year-old Pace, who was raised Catholic, hasn't always felt this comfortable getting wavy with his wardrobe. “When I was younger, you definitely felt like men were prescribed a certain way of dressing and you didn't really deviate from the example sets,” he says. “Times have changed a bit since then, you know, and the world recognises that there's not just one kind of man out there.” Pace admits that when he was filming his breakthrough show Pushing Daisies back in the early '00s, there was not a chance that he'd be dressing the way he does now. “I don't think that I would have felt comfortable during that time of my life.”

Pace finds that, as he's now older, he's stopped caring so much about what people think about his appearance. “I just can't take anything too seriously, you know?" he says. "I used to think if I didn't adhere or look respectable then I'd be kicked out of whatever I was at. But I've been here a while now, doing this acting thing, and I'm not going anywhere.”

For Thom Browne's first ever couture show, Pace wore an outfit that he describes as “a little bit nuts. It's super fun. But you know, I like to have a good time. I don't take anything too seriously.” Which meant a pair of Browne's signature grey trousers scissor cut at the knees to create a pair of shorts. To match, the Guardians of the Galaxy star requested a shirt have its arms torn off, as well as a waistcoat. “I've been kind of cutting the sleeves off my shirts for years now, it's just something I do,” Pace says. “Cut the shorts, I said. Cut the shorts!”

To complete his outfit he threw an oversized paisley jacket over his shoulders and wore a pair of chunky rubberised boots. It's the sexy, fleshier vibe that menswear's moving towards: aka the reason why the Internet loves Pedro Pascal. And Pace is down for it. “Thom Browne represents a bit of everybody, whether it's queerness, gender expression or something else. It's a brand that has a special alchemy. It's all about individuality. And it's cultivated a sort of community through his crazy, crazy clothing.”

Pace recognises that with clothing, comes power. He's also obsessed with the theatre – he's a self-confessed Shakespeare nut – and sees an element of the dramatic arts in Thom Browne. “As an actor, I know that clothing and costumes give you a certain feeling. They can change your mindset and will actually force you to get into character,” he says, explaining that he found the costumes he wore as Legolas' dad on the set of Peter Jackson's The Hobbit some of his favourites to date. “We had so many fun fittings, where we just had a good time exploring who this Elvenking was and the story we can tell through his clothes.” It's with Foundation, too, that Pace is really enjoying himself. “I play this crazy guy who thinks he's a god. I think about that in the costume fittings and think about how he dresses and presents himself. I think his delusion – he thinks he's a goddamn god – informs how he puts on his clothes.”

Pace approaches it all with a little less ego, though. It still feels like fun. “I'm just enjoying using clothes to express who I am. I'm not all about stiff suits that many think are the signs of masculinity. There's other ways to express your masculinity.”
