I've been out of school for more than ten years and have the same panic dream of somehow missing a class for most of the term. I've been able to get a handle on my other anxieties but this damn dream creeps up every once in a while and I hate it too. Not sure why this particular thing haunts us for so long after the living of it. Education in America is nuts.

In other news, I got a brand spankin new library card and have been blazing through the Paper Girls volumes as fast as my holiday work schedule allows and WOW. I watched the show and saw this site's reaction, and I'm super impressed with the actors for how they brought these characters to life. Wild. I'll never be over it.

I hope you are okay, or better. But not being okay is okay too.

That's a glorious use for your library card, I approve. It's one of my absolute favorite stories of the year--one of my new favorite stories, period--and I still hold out some hope that the show continues. Hopefully in its natural state with the same cast. Or, my desperate mind will accept: with the same cast doing VO for an animated continuation. Wouldn't be nearly as good without their full-body performances, but I'd take anything at this point as long as we don't lose that perfect casting. I dunno. World's been hard and the world of TV--wlw TV especially--has been particularly stupid, and maybe I'm stupid for keeping up the fight, but lord knows Paper Girls deserves the win.

As for being okay: nah, not really, but I'm inching closer. New meds are still taking a lot out of me, but the nausea has mostly passed. Now I just get stupid-drowsy for a few hours after I take 'em. Hopefully that'll pass, too. And hopefully when it does, I'll be able to focus on...anything real again. I've meant to finish a PG fic for two weeks now, with little success, but I did manage to read a book with my eyeballs today, so taking that as a win.
