I have a big google doc thing where I keep track of media and stuff (putting everything in loosely ranked categories), which is mostly just for my own reference so I know what tv shows I've already seen before, etc. and I never really look back through it, typically just a quick "okay, watched two movie in the past 8 months, need to quickly slap them somewhere in the lists. okay. done. save document. exit". But today I was actually reading through some of the old notes and there are like... MULTIPLE places where my comment is basically "It would have been good if it were about elves" or "I wish there was a fantasy show made in this same style" or "It's well made, but I just keep thinking about how I would like it more if everyone was an elf or was in old 1700s costumes" or etc like...... lol.... Most biased media ranking system on earth blatantly made by someone with an extremely hyperspecific range of narrow interests. It'd be like if a food reviewer only had 5 foods they actually liked, so they'd just go to a pizza place and be like "eh, the pizza was okay, but I just think it would be better if it was cereal instead. :/ ...2 out of 10"

Fantasy racism almost always handled very badly and uncomfortable way but it is extra bad with fallout 4.

Like I enjoy game but synth writing is so bad. My options of way of treating them is enslave this guys, kill this guys, or be a white saviour to this guys. I wanna help this guys but I want them to have their own opinions you know. I need more Glory less Desdemona. Nick also should be more vocal about synth and robot rights he talks about it but not enough. I love him a lot one of my faves but he is written and act like one of the good ones. Internalised synthphobia.

Also coursers being seen as pure evil always evil same level evil with instutue. Like this guys are also synths they are also enslaved they are as much as victims as others you need to save them too. Game tried to make me sympathise with fucking Kellogg of all people but x6 written like he is sadistic beyond saving pure evil and guilty murderer. One joined instutue voluntary other is literally created and brainwashed and threatened with mindwipe.

Actually it's not the way story elements exist but how narrative treats them. Like way characters act make sense. But story want me to think in a way that doesn't make sense. Yeah man I feel so good with helping this good synths and killing bad ones and deciding which one is evil which one is not. Only good ones deserve freedom after all. Yeah brotherhood rules they allow nick with me doesn't matter they treat him like my rabid pet.

I wan not going to write that long because its not that deep and I don't care that much but I wrote that much. Sorry. This is like my version of being Tumblr user who gets angry on child cartoon because it is not handling political themes good. My Steven universe rant. another thing that's always on my mind, and i think that ro has talked abt this too a while back i'm pretty sure she's actually the one that put it in my head in the first place but it's just that while he seems so big and tough, he's always helping out the elderly and the kids in his apartment building. like i can't stop imagining him carrying in his neighbor's groceries up the stairs,, she's just this older lady who also has a cat (who btw really likes jason lmao) aaand she always tells him that she has it but jason never budges he's got the grocery bag in his hand so fast that the woman doesn't even have the chance to try and keep it from him. they always walk up the stairs together and the lady sometimes tries to apologize for being a little slow and jason is so so quick to brush that off with a small smile, encouraging her to tell him abt her day. HE'S SUCH A SWEETHEART OK:(((((((((((((

aaand i feel like some of the kids were definitely a little afraid of him at first bc well.. he's all big and tough and he has scars and a motorcycle but then maybe one day they're playing in the yard and their ball gets stuck and jason happens to see it and he just helps them out without them having to ask him and he gives them a grin while shooting it in the hoop (he can be such a show-off omfg) and when he hears the young kids cheer for him he knows that he's finally cracking that scary idea of him that they have in their heads yk?

my first ever g1 draculaura, my roommate got me a gloom beach one for christmas! it’s so crazy to finally have a g1 in hand, and she’s soooo cute!

here’s her next to scaradise g3, you can really see the difference between them, it’s crazy how different they look while also both being so draculaura. i even switched their head accessories around just to see how it looks

anyways, gloom beach drac’s legs are elastic, and they’re pretty loose as well, she has quite a it of trouble standing, but i got her balanced as best as i can. have her setup all nice and center

I’ve been thinking about how they decided on Zebs design for live action. At first I was not a huge fan of the much longer fur/hair but it’s exactly like the Ralph Macquarie concept art for chewie that also inspired Zeb!

Also this art I’ve seen around (here and wookieepedia) of three lasat soldiers that have visible fur on their arms/legs.

Now that I’ve watched the scene enough, I think he looks good! I really appreciated all the wrinkles in his face. They could’ve given us one lil ear flick tho;;

Filoni has made it clear how much the original concept art for Star Wars inspired Rebels. I know it’s only Zeb (and a glimpse of Hera and Sabine in the leaked D23 footage) we’ve seen so far but I’m a bit more hopeful that he’ll do these characters some justice in live action.

I could see Ken Penders point with saying how similar the Sonic Chronicles games were to his Knuckles comics and getting upset with that since there was in fact a lot of similarities, granted they were all based around alot of common tropes but he did 'there's a secret society of Echidna, one of the leaders is evil, girl Echidna defects and helps main characters save the day' first in official Sonic media. And considering that his own comic was tanking and Chronicles was set for something like a promised trilogy then yeah, I'd be upset too. But then there's other things like him trying to claim Scourge (Penders made Evil/Anti Sonic but it was Flynn who gave him the redesign) or even trying to claim that it was his idea to make Sonic stand on the wings of the tornado and then I just stop caring.

That and he's trying to sell Sonic NFTs and thinks that he owns Shade because Sega hasn't uses her since the lawsuit.

yeah thats the thing i dont think its inherently bad for him to want ownership of stuff hes made and i can see where hes coming from with the sonic chronicles stuff but then like you said he does things like take sole credit for scourge despite most people who like him liking him based on what other artists and writers did with him, act like he owns the concept of knuckles having a dad, claiming ownership of and selling nfts of designs he didnt make after getting angry over anything similar to something he did being used, etc etc . so no he really doesnt deserve to be defended lmao
