lana doesn’t just “have” bad habits. she is a bad habit. i’d say her main one is that she goes through life in survival mode. she jumps to the conclusion that she’s in a life-or-death situation very easily, and will act accordingly. the slightest provocation makes her go into “this person is definitely trying to hurt me, i need to hurt them 5 times worse” mode. she’s also recklessly emotionally vulnerable/desperate for love, cruel, impulsive, rude, short-tempered, naïve… the list goes on.

18. What did they want to be when they grew up?

grace wanted to be a doctor like her dad. i like to think she does get her doctorate when she gets older, so that did happen in at least one sense of the word.

25. Do they have any unique skills?

anya grew up in the brotherhood of steel, so she knows way too much about pre-war history and technology, but doesn’t know how to analyze or evaluate basic emotions.

31. Do they have a comfort item?

safina thinks ascribing personal meaning to things is stupid (or, at least, she wants to think that as she’s been struggling financially most of her life and never kept possessions for too long. she actually really likes nice things, but that’s a separate issue), so she doesn’t really have one. but, i mean, platinum chip’s pretty important.

37. Are they a good liar?

grace is a very good liar to strangers. her lying/manipulation ability is inversely proportional to how well you know her, though. butch and her dad are two people she has a really hard time being dishonest with.

things from The Halloween Update that are concerning me more than i already am about Eddie:

his Frankenstein's Monster costume turning his face (and hands. ha, hands, like the hands on a-) half yellow half blue/purple like the clocks & Sally's door. that's fucking me up a little ngl

Eddie tacks "A bit of a moral conundrum-" onto his description of Frankenstein's Monster, who he's costumed as. which seems out of place with the rest of his description. he could've said "bolts" or "white streak in his hair" or another physical trait. nope. Moral Conundrum (one could also describe his costume as "two-faced"...). and the fact that he's dressed specifically as someone who was "brought back from the dead" makes me 👁️👁️. kinda reminds me of a certain set of artworks from Clown's tumblr a while back...

Eddie, despite his whole schtick being "bad memory", was the only one to accurately recognize Sally's costume as pedrolino from the Commedia dell'arte. could be a little 'inside joke', might be something else. i suspect it's something else due to his... ah... Everything.

tuesday, march 5th, 2024 ☀️

I'm giving up on my 100dop because I've missed so many days it doesn't align with the end of my course anymore lmao. and honestly, the 100dop was more of a reminder to post rather than a reminder to get stuff done, which I just kind of did as needed anyway.

I'm finally out of the "learning things for the first time" part of this course and into the "reviewing material and building an index" part, so yay! I have about a month and a half until the exam. I won't know for sure how worried I need to be until I take the first practice exam, but I think I'll be okay.

today's productivity & self-care:

had a nice, focused day of work

did yoga in the evening

tried a new smoothie recipe that my partner made & it was really tasty!

studied for ~2 hours in the afternoon/evening

went to bed early! :)

When Iwaizumi wakes up for his morning run, he finds himself completely alone in the bed he shares with his boyfriends.

He's not as surprised as he should be to find the two of them passed out on the couch together after he's gotten dressed.

Suga is somehow nestled between the back of the couch and Oikawa's body, his head pillowed on his chest. Oikawa's right arm is wrapped around Suga's shoulders while his left hand rests on his hip. Their legs are entwined, the knitted blanket they keep on the couch wrapped between them.

The way Oikawa's head and upper shoulders are resting against the armrest of the couch makes Iwaizumi cringe, already foreseeing Oikawa complaining about his neck hurting later.

It isn't hard to guess what had happened after Iwaizumi had fallen asleep. The open laptop on their coffee table with a paused volleyball match on the screen being a pretty good indicator.

Old habits die hard.

He knows he should wake them both up, usher them back towards their bedroom to sleep in their actual bed but he can't bring himself to disturb them. Instead, somehow without waking either of them up, he extricates the blanket from their entwined legs and drapes it over the both of them properly.

He kisses them both on the head and then goes to put his running shoes on.

He can't stop himself from smiling as he leaves the apartment.

He really couldn't be happier.

The most normal fishing night ever

first my boat is invisible (screencap courtesy of the one and only @wisp-enclosure <3). Then Aurene ate Kudo's pet fish u_u.

THEN ME AND @commander-winterberry GOT KIDNAPPED!!!!! I saw it spawn in front of me bc I was facing the direction of the boat coming towards us, but I couldn't react bc I was finishing reeling up a fish (which I was thankfully able to get just in time for BEING KIDNAPPED). It was so funny that I couldn't stop laughing irl, and I managed to get a screen of the map to show the path we were taken from a mere few seconds before it CLOSED.
