hi snap !! ^_^
in your opinion as the minedai guy, are mine's feelings for daigo reciprocated? or do you think it's more one sided
Its inarguable that daigo genuinely cherished mine as a confidant and a reliable ally. he valued mine not just for his stalwart loyalty, but how despite (or perhaps because of) that loyalty mine was prepared to disagree with daigo and not just be a self-serving yesman only after money or a semblance of power like other members of the tojo; because of mine’s readiness to risk going against daigo despite his position, daigo saw mine as someone who genuinely cared not just for him, but for the tojo clan that meant so much to him
When it comes to romantic feelings though, its never going to be as cut-and-dry as we’d like (unless you’re mine. Unless you’re a raging homosexual like mine.), so i can never- with confidence- say a character has romantic feelings for another (AGAIN. Unless You’re Mine). At the very least, it’s safe to say mine was more explicit about demonstrating that love, or at the very least he was given more chances to show how much he loved daigo, so it’ll always look one-sided going off of what we have so far <- delusional
If we want tho, we can have some fun with the franchise and implications and all. after the events of Y3 via an RGGO story, daigo visits the bar he and mine would frequent. Inside, the bartender brings up a special bottle of alcohol daigo was meant to share with mine, though because mine’s, daigo declines drinking it. Ultimately, he decided the bottle should only be opened if mine was there to share it with him, otherwise it would be pointless
I bring up this moment For Giggles because in Y7, kashiwagi the bartender weaves a similar story during nanba’s drink link. The story goes that he keeps an expensive brand of alcohol on his shelf because he wanted to give the bottle to his lover, though she died before they got the chance to share it and keeps it in honor of her
Obviously, the story’s just a silly front to trick people into coming in- but it is Dually funny considering the parallel to the mine/daigo situation..

the KG masterpost, again,
hey guys who wants to read 50 paragraphs about my oc ok great here we go
the original version of this was very.. me cutting out a lot of What The Characters Actually Were Like to try and give an overview of out-of-character origins? which is fun but also does not actually tell you anything at all about them. SO IT'S TIME FOR THAT NOW
Katie G.:
Tumblr media
aka: KG, Prime pronouns: she/he/they
a cheerful and intentionally wacky person, KG has the permanent vibes of being "up to something". never anything malevolent (or at least not on purpose), but their friends are never really sure when they'll kick down their doors with an idea in mind. she's adaptable to just about every situation, treats everything like a fun game, and while she's able to take things seriously she never really sees a need to most of the time. he's just here to have fun! sure, chaos follows in his wake, but as long as everyone's having a good time it's fine, right?
in a setting where worldhopping was a normal thing, it became clear that something was up with Katie. originally her tendency to pop up regardless of universe was written off as her tagging along, but the difference between each version in appearance and backstory led to the idea that they had a lot of counterparts. except then one of the alternate KGs would reference something another version of herself did, or have knowledge that didn't make sense for her to know, and things stopped adding up.
KG is a case of isekai gone sideways. somehow they broke the multiverse and are existing in several universes at once-- each iteration shares awareness and memory unless stated otherwise, although it's all filtered through the pile of noise that is "existing as 17+ people simultaneously". as a result, KG mixes up names, dates, and universes, and has trouble keeping her story straight. it's not exactly something they can explain easily, so he does his best to handwave it or dodge the topic entirely if people start catching on. as an upside, she's basically immortal due to her status as a multiversal anomaly, but on the downside nobody's really sure what the long-lasting events of breaking the multiverse are.
how this works in practice is that KG has Really Weird Vibes, is permanently leaning on the fourth wall, and either goes Full Protagonist or relegates themself to comic relief to stay out of the spotlight. as a side-effect of The Incident, the "original" KG is firmly stuck outside of canon because of breaking everything she touches, but that doesn't stop her from causing a mess (to the annoyance of T1, her best friend and partner-in-crime) :D
under the cut: more of this guy! specifically the ~16ish other This Guys. i will make tumblr regret letting me add more than 10 photos per post and also not having a character limit
Landia:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
aka: Kaylandia, Lan pronouns: they/he/she
kinda the basis for their own subset of AUs because you would not believe how many minecraft aus we keep getting involved in. occasionally younger (or older?) sibling of Leonaut and/or Leontids, resident self-proclaimed memelord, here to have a good time not a long one, etc.
despite their immaturity, Landia's been around a pretty long time. ..sort of. he predates the existence of dogs, but didn't really start being a Thing again until around 1.15 and his memory of The Before Times is very fuzzy. still, in a fandom where players from near the start are considered old gods, applying that to this doofus is really funny.
has a couple spinoffs including Dashtwo (time traveler that's more likely to mess things up than actually fix them, got adopted by the resident polycule) and...
Outlaw:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
aka: Landia, Lan pronouns: they/he
(minecraft skin is a bit out of date, outfit in artwork is accurate)
branches off of Landia, but is separate enough at this point to get a fully distinct entry because [looks at notes] i love him. hailing from the far future, Lan used to be an infobroker for the ConVex thanks to their multiversal knowledge. then things went south when the ConVex found out he knew too much about them. on the run and in a panic, they tried to get off-planet as fast as possible, got knocked out, and woke up in the cargo hold of a spaceship belonging to a fleet of outlaws. somehow they managed to endear themself enough to the captain to not get kicked out immediately, and now he's a pilot for one of the ships in the fleet!
somehow none of that is the most notable thing about him. what is the most notable thing about him is that after getting a neural implant to better interface with technology, he immediately got infected with sapient malware. and also that sapient malware is also the AI of the ship he woke up on, which itself is a fork of a brain scan of a wanted criminal that attained digital immortality. the Broker AI is actually rather harmless; they mostly sit in the backseat and try to keep Lan from getting themself killed.
he's somehow even more overenthusiastic and overeager than your baseline KG. he's living like full-throttle, usually traumatizing himself in the process, and his plucky attitude is a bit out of place in life-threatening gunfights and dogfights. he knows the rest of 77-2 has his back, though.
Twone:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
pronouns: they/he/she (alternating/scrambled)
cringefail pokemon trainer
hailing from Goldenrod City in Johto and then also Jubilife City in Sinnoh due to Reasons, Twone has a tendency to get in over their head. he mainly trains electric and fire types (with her starter being Eclipse the Luxray), and proudly calls themself a gym leader despite not having a gym. or any badges to give out. but she has plenty of enthusiasm and that's almost the same thing
through a series of Currently Undefined Events, Twone ended up joining up with Team Rocket and assisted in the radio tower takeover before getting sorely beaten by our other Pokemon OC Robyn. embarrassed and reconsidering her life choices, they bailed out while they still could and settled down in Sinnoh... and also stole a bunch of Rocket stuff on their way out.
currently known for: disappearing into the jungle for 3 days with a friend and returning with 3 Mews and a Mewtwo, alchemizing a bicycle, agreeing to get murdered by one of his best friends on the condition that they reference The Murder of Sonic the Hedgehog, getting exploded by voltorbs
technically newest addition to the roster, but he's been around a while? there was just. no art of him and the comic he was planned to show up in self-destructed before he could. but now he's back! and also is now the missing link between KG and Landia because of pixelmon.
KG the Foxcat:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
aka: Foxcat pronouns: she/they
Foxcat answers the long-awaited question of "what if KG was a furry?". happily sitting in the same zone of non-canonicity as Prime, Foxcat's job is to annoy the heck out of T1, reminisce about old fanfic, and make sprite comics of herself and her friends. they are very much not part of CV but that doesn't stop them from having a noncanon friendship with CVTails that mostly involves bullying him and locking him in the same room as T1 for comedy purposes.
Foxcat is currently the only non-hedgehog example of an Outsider, which is a thing from our old Sonic continuity Shattered Worlds that basically translates to "worldhopper with weird powers". i guess if Shadowy is Mephiles and Chrome is Silver, then Foxcat is Tails? which makes her hobby of collecting AU Tailses make more sense i guess. she thinks they're neat.
would eat a Chaos Emerald for fun.
Ellis:
Tumblr media
pronouns: she/he
didn't make the cut in the original masterpost, but then i noticed some wording in one of the MSPaint doodles of her and connected some dots so she's here now!
Ellis is the closest to pre-incident Prime in backstory and vibe, with the major divergence point being "suddenly there was an alien invasion". despite the rampant devastation, he banded together with her friends and was able to uncover the truth behind the invasion, stop it at the source, and hopped worlds a few times until settling down in somewhere close to home.
and then suddenly there was a zombie invasion.
Ellis is not a lucky person.
as far as out-of-universe timeline goes, Ellis is maybe the first instance of a KG? as in i think she was my first self-insert character, and the other KL era ones (kh!Katie, Plus, Self) were variations on her. between that and the worldhopping, Ellis is probably whatever part of Prime successfully got isekai'd instead of getting dumped in the noncanon void. where is he now? i dunno! he might've exploded. either that or she's a cryptid.
nicknamed "Ellis" because of that one time the friendgroup got really into Left 4 Dead. this may be related to the zombie invasion thing.
Katie & Teixak:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
aka: Heart (Katie), Tei (teixak) pronouns: she/her (both)
them. hoo boy, these two. Heart regularly hung out with the OCs from the KL era and was mostly slapstick, up until Sora's appearance and the involvement of the remnants of Organization XIII ended up being a herald of a Heartless invasion. side-by-side with her friend, Heart fought off as many as she could, but the two of them got overwhelmed along with the rest of her world and became Nobodies.
picking up where Katie left off, Teixak got recruited into the New Organization led by Rasemtix with the goal of "okay but what if we Did actually get everybody's hearts back". mostly she got left to her own devices, though, which included taking the mission objective of "study the canon KH characters to get an upper hand" and turning it into "hey Leixand what if we just locked everybody in a mansion for a few months and played truth or dare" until Rasemtix found out and yelled at her.
eventually Rasemtix's plan went off without a hitch because Dream Drop Distance hadn't come out yet, Teixak became Katie again except for the final chapter of YAToD where they both existed at the same time???, and then a decade later i found all my old fanfic about them and realized i should probably rewrite the KG masterpost
Kay Gee:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
aka: Kay pronouns: they/them
older sibling of local overworked CCC field agent Leo Naught, Kay is a troublemaker through and through. somehow they've ended up with the same Retry power as Henry, although they haven't quite ascended to the rank of master thief or high-ranking Toppat or special ops agent or whatever. mostly they just goof off and cause a little bit of chaos here and there, which leads to them being on the run from the CCC most of the time.
thanks to basically being immortal from both "being a KG" and their Retry power, as well as outright being able to rewind time and take a different path at any time, Kay doesn't take stuff too seriously and needs to be reminded now and then that their actions do in fact have consequences. whoops!
they are in SO much trouble.
comes bundled with their Stickmolus counterpart, a!Kay (or Akay). they're the exact same, it's just this one has inbuilt psychic powers on top of Retry and also is a fuzzy alien.
Zephyr:
Tumblr media
aka: Zeff pronouns: she/her
a novice Dream Traveler, Zephyr is along for the ride more than anything else. she's very naive and prone to messing things up, but puts her all into fixing any problems she causes and tries to leave each world a better place than when she showed up. it doesn't always work.
she crosses paths with Klonoa now and then, and they have a kinda-sibling-ish dynamic? she's also friends with the reincarnated King of Sorrow because Reasons. (she calls them "Koss".)
i don't remember why she has four ears. i don't think it was ever explained. when she was younger / first starting out she hid them under her bandana but then she got self confidence about it. she also either has her own Wind Ring or borrows Klonoa's, i don't remember which - i think originally she borrowed Klonoa's, but then got her own later on?
stop everything. klonoa, get the banana
kaoticGenome:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
aka: Katie A., kG pronouns: she/her
(image on right is Very old)
remember when homestuck? yeah. part of a 4-player (later 6-player) fan session from 2011ish, and while she wasn't quite the voice of reason she was definitely the voice of "WHAT THE FUCK?". originally her actual initials were KG and not just her chumhandle, but after finding out about her session's ectobiology she decided to break the mold and took her ecto-dad's last name.
her ecto-dad is also a First Guardian, a late-arrival session member, and the son of Ninten from Earthbound. i didn't process the implications of that last part until 10 years later.
originally she was the Scribe of Dawn in the Land of Ruins and Twilight, but she'd probably be a Heir of Heart now when using the canon classpects because [gestures at this entire masterpost]. her weapon of choice was bladekind i think, and eventually she ended up with a kusarigama But With A Sword and somehow didn't kill herself with it.
was like the only KL-era KG that wasn’t interchangeable with the others but HAHA NOT FOR LONG! although i think her reaction to being a crucial part of KGverse would be to turn around and leave. see you space weeb, have fun playing okami
Karami:
Tumblr media
aka: karelessGuitarist, kG (the other one) pronouns: she/her
the troll version of Katie A., sort of! ish! they're both KGs and are a rare instance of there being more than one KG in the same setting, but they're still kinda from different universes so eh. i don't think they ever met.
in the previous version of the masterpost i described her as "the sequel to Nepeta" and that's still accurate. i don't have much documentation on her but i think her deal was that she would just beat the absolute shit out of people that were mean to her matesprit online. imagine you're blogging and a catgirl crawls through your window to punch you in the face
she didn't get much use but did cameo in a MSPFA as a cute kitty alien! (she's the one on the far left :D)
Plus & Minus:
Tumblr media
aka: Katie R., the Ride System pronouns: she/her (both), they/them (plural)
a resident of Echo Ridge and rather withdrawn, Katie R. struggled with identity and finding a place to belong. despite making friends and having the whole world open up in front of her, finding out about the extended multiverse only made her struggle harder to find somewhere to fit in, and this rising stress (along with the chaos of being one of the first KGs) caused her to buckle under the pressure.
this got the attention of the FM-ian Gemini. now with the ability to wavechange into Gemini Spark, the two Katies scuffled over choosing to be heroes or be villains. Plus wanted to use her new powers to fight evil and help her friends, while Minus was teenage angst and trauma personified and would sabotage Plus at every turn. this led to Gemini Spark being more of a hindrance than anything else, especially once the Andromeda Key came into play.
these two are terrible plural rep. but they also ended up being a stepping stone to figuring out my plurality! so they have one (1) rights.
two of them thursday
Adagio:
Tumblr media
aka: Katie Adagio pronouns: she/her
originally a percy jackson OC, now is... i don't know??? generic urban fantasy? in the PJatO incarnation she was a daughter of Apollo and got cursed to be a cat after royally screwing up a quest (it never fully wore off). on the plus side, she now has catlike reflexes on top of her demigod powers of incredible aim!
also she a cane (not pictured) because apparently she got mauled by a hellhound and has a permanent limp as a result and i did not remember this until looking up the deviantart posts Just Now? what the heck. she also has a mechanical wolf as a companion, which you'd think would set off the hellhound-induced dog phobia that's mentioned several times in her old bio but.. eh...?
her non-fandom incarnation, on the other hand, got caught in a gateway between the human and magical worlds which gave her a) truesight b) cool glowy magical tattoos and c) being a catgirl. the "being a catgirl" is a constant.
might've graduated from being a KG but i like including her anyway because her design's fun and it's not like i ever wrote the urban fantasy story she was gonna be the protag of
Self:
Tumblr media
aka: SI pronouns: she/her
second instance of a KG after Ellis, and out-of-character she's one of the reasons why the "multiversal anomaly" thing started in the first place because she was interchangeable with Heart, Plus, and Ellis. she just straight up doesn't bother making a distinction between herself and her "other selves", and everybody around her just kinda has to deal with it. it helps that she's from the KL era so worldhopping and AUs were just kinda a thing that happened all the time.
she kinda ended up being part of a trio with two other characters that would show up in other timelines, although Self's universe was the main one where all three of them were together i think.
her Personas are Nekomata and Byakko and i honestly don't remember anything else about her compared to the other KGs from her era because of the whole "being interchangeable" thing.
ok that's everybody. bye

it's really sad when the fanon exaggeration of the awkward emo boy is more aligned to canon than the fanon ignorance of actual events to make his homicidal sister sweet and polite instead of the murderous and familicide- like way that she actually is
#it would be more funny if people werent being /genuine about saying the later fanon is more canon than the actual canon#youre telling me that the girl who won every fight against her brother and tried to kill him multiple times#to the point he and her own friends admit they are SCARED OF HER#is going to be some moe quiet creature that has to be protected by her brothers friends from him#... girl. i think you have the wrong sibling if youre trying to at least be just grazing canon#there are a lot of comments by there is a ratio from hits to kudos (even for a multi chaptered unfinished fic)#it makes sense the only people that are in the comments are adults with *literal* crushes on the teenage characters#and outright hating on the brother not for the fic but for *literally* what the sister did to him in canon#and saying the noncanon comics (which the only people saying Are canon is *literally* this group) are more canon than the SOURCE MATERIAL..#like i dont hate this girl dont get me wrong#its just the fact shes canonically the source of a LOT of his trauma...#but This is reading like a role reversal thats still ooc but being played off as not#came back to say that if you look up if the comics are canon the only thing that pops up is the author of that fics blog 😃#GIRL WHAT KSHFDKSDKFKFKA#And its a specific blog for the sister and how much the author hates the brother#so much so that any instance where hes afraid of her or not thinking of his sister MAKES HIM A ABUSER??????#im done dont make me tap the sign

insertdisc5 has gone on record (on multiple occasions across several interviews) stating that the only canonical events of "In Stars and Time" are what you personally experience during your own playthrough.
There is a single bathroom in the game that is entirely optional to enter. If you do, then your character will state that they "don't really need to go", and instead reflect on your current progress. And there's several unique monologues for multiple important parts in the game!
The reason I mention this is because there is exactly ONE instance where your character can enter the bathroom and, instead of monologuing, does "what needs to be done".
And!!! It's pure random chance!!! And you can only get it during the earliest sections of the game!!! It's very easy to miss, even if you enter the bathroom multiple times!!!!
In other words, for nearly every single ISAT player, Siffrin using a bathroom for it's intended purpose is entirely noncanon, and I think that's hilarious.

My thoughts on Chaggie/ Charlie x Vaggie
Before we begin, no this isn't a "I hate chaggie post" and no I will not be hating on those who ship it either. Rather this is just my thoughts on chaggie at the moment.
So, I'm just gonna say it, Chaggie is my OTP. Not because it is perfection, but because it's in my opinion one of the most interesting relationship canon/noncanon, I love both the characters in the relationship, and any moment of intimacy (not just kisses and such but any intimacy that reads as romantic) is cute. And with that I want to talk about the relationship so far.
Now I've been seeing people say their relationship is toxic or unhealthy, and to that I say...that's a bit strong. Let me explain. So because hazbin is kinda speedrunning it's plot (which I understand bc limitations on episodes and seasons green lit) we don't get to deeply know all the characters and specifics on why they make certain choices and how they ended up the way they did so we have to rely on the broad and limited information provided in each episode.
Based on the 6 episodes released, we can tell Charlie is very optimistic, to a fault at times, passionate, a go getter with some direction, very empathetic, ablivious at times, and ultimanty wants to be a leader but lacks the confidence and authority (despite begin a princess bc we love the royal that doesn't know how to rule troupe, genuinely) to be one.
Vaggie on the other hand, is like Charlie, very kind, but isn't as willing to put faith in a person till they've proven they deserve it, protective, loyal, good intended, not very trusting, lacks confidence, and dependent on Charlie.
Now when you put these two together, while the two do help eachother supplement what the other lacks, whether through reassurance, doing what the other can't or doesn't want to do, or giving the other what they need at the moment, even if that isn't them, it's clear who relies more on the other. After it's revealed how Vaggie and Charlie met, it really reframes Vaggie's character. No longer is she just a slightly insecure girlfriend who just wants to make sure her partner is happy and is being supportive and good enough to her, she's now a character who has bad identity issues. I mean can you blame her?! Her whole life disappeared in an instance and started all over when Charlie found her. I imagine they haven't really been apart since then except for a couple hours maybe, but never for days or longer. And being with someone for so long especially in an unfamiliar place, of course you become attached to them. Add Charlie basically saving Vaggie's life, there's an imbalance there. A feeling of indebtedness even if Charlie never said Vaggie owed her bc wow that would be way out of character.
Now as I mentioned before, Charlie is a bit ablivious to certain things, she's especially ablivious to how vaggie feels and what she's going through. Now that's not entirely her fault, she didn't know Vaggie was an angel and that Vaggie may feel indebted to her for saving her life, but also it's clear Charlie doesn't understand social cues and again, because of her trust in Vaggie, she'd assume Vaggie would tell her anything that was wrong or bothering her since the contrary just isn't something established in there relationship. And if Vaggie didn't want to talk about something she'd say it, not lie. Like in all honesty I think Charlie won't be upset by Vaggie being an angel, but rather hiding it. Now it may sound like alot to ask of Vaggie, but again, Charlie is under the impression that Vaggie would be explicit about what to talk and not talk about. Also Charlie may be hurt because she may feel like Vaggie doesn't trust her enough or think she wouldn't accept her. So I get both sides.
So to me there relationship feels like any relationship, complicated. The relationship Itself isn't unhealthy, but some of the actions of the two involved aren't healthy or the best. Don't think I forgot about Charlie being pushy at times, I understand why she does it, but combine it with her abliviousness it's not so great. I definitely think Charlie and Vaggie can bounce back and maybe the two can have a moment together that helps the two be better together and separate. Which brings me to another thing I'd like to talk about.
My hope for Chaggie in the future is this. In the next episode, the two give eachother space, and they hangout with people in the hotel. I like the idea of Vaggie, Husk, and or Angel hanging out. Charlie and Lucifer or Charlie, Sir Pentious, Husk, or Angel spending time with her. Then half way or 3 quarters through the episode Vaggie and Charlie have a moment together after talking and hangingout with the others, talk about it/maybe apologize, make up, and have there first kiss in the show (other gestures like their foreheads touching or noses touching or a combination of gestures work as well). Then of course setting up for the 8th episode.
Another thought I had, is also the two trying to act as if nothing happened, they continue with there plans with the hotel, then when everyone notices the obvious tension, while they want to prepare for the extermination, they also want to figureout/help Vaggie and Charlie get through what ever happened. Then I imagine they either try doing the exercises and such Charlie plans but secretly use it as a way to help Charlie and Vaggie, in the end Vaggie or Charlie blow up. Shit goes down and then they make up. Or it's still not working so they try getting the two away from eachother by saying they need help with stuff, talking to them, then the two make up. Or one last one I swear, Vaggie or Charlie say to take a break from this. Everyone does, Charlie and Vaggie talk or argue. Walk different ways, Vaggie stays at the hotel and Charlie leaves the hotel. After the two end up figuring shit out, I like to think Charlie got into some shit, Vaggie saves her, they talk as they deal with the trouble Charlie's in, make up, and have an intimate moment.
Now the last thing I wat to say is kinda related but not, so if you came just for Chaggie you can leave. Anyways, with the current state of chaggie (especially with the lack of typical romantic intimacy) I noticed people shipping Charlie x Emily. And while yes I see it, personally I don't ship it just because they've only met in episode 6, they're too similar, and in my opinion, I like them as friends. With that being said, I do like them together so long as Charlie is still with Vaggie. Like I just love Charlie and Vaggie together so much, I don't want them to split. So either I'd have them as a throuple, or Charlie is dating them both but Emily and Vaggie are just friends. Either one is a pretty interesting shipping dynamic and great for fanfiction. Also just to clarify, I'm not hating on Emily x Charlie, it's just not one I'm strong about. So if you like it, more power to you. And you know what, I'll probably still look at content of it anyways cause even if it isn't my fav it's still cute.
Uh anyways, I hope you enjoyed my word vomit and thoughts? Idk how to end this...uh goodbye!

How do fans engage with the source material when there’s already canonical queer representation?
Rachel Marks looks at the fandoms for the DC Comics TV shows (like Flash, Supergirl, Arrow, and DC’s Legends of Tomorrow), which have been including queer characters since 2014 when the characters Sara Lance and Nyssa al Ghul shared a kiss in Arrow. Read the whole article for free, which is in the newest issue of the open access journal, Transformative Works and Cultures: “Fan perspectives of queer representation in DC's Legends of Tomorrow on Tumblr and AO3.”
Marks finds:
Fans generally appreciate and care about queer representation in Legends, but they often overlook representation of people of color. For instance, pairings with characters of color get less attention.
Canon queer pairings get the most attention, but noncanonical pairings are still common.
“In sum, Legends fans show their appreciation for canon queer representation in television by frequently featuring canonically queer characters in their posts, highlighting the positive qualities of those characters and their relationships. Fans appreciate seeing multiple LGBT characters represented on television and get enjoyment out of seeing same-sex couples being couples on screen. However, this is not all they focus on when blogging or writing fic about their favorite characters or ships. Fans want to enjoy viewing canonically queer couples and queer characters on television, but they also want to enjoy alternative interpretations in which noncanonical ships are read for their subtextual elements. Fans simultaneously enjoy watching and creating content about a show that has canonical queer representation, while continuing the queer fan tradition of forming their own interpretations of queer characters and relationships.”

The young women in Hazbin Hotel are so infantilized by the fandom.
Yes, it's true that any noncanon ship on the show will be contested, even the least toxic ones. However, people try to prevent any other ships with the girls; especially Velvette and Nifty. I can't even tell you how many times I've seen people trying to stop others from ships involving them.
It's constantly, "Nifty is like a child. That's weird!" or "She's like Alastor's daughter" or "Husk and Angel are like her dads". I'm sorry, but that's not canon, so you can't just use that to justify attacking others for their ships. I get it, okay. Nifty is small with a high-pitched voice and acts childish and sensitive at times. But she also has moments where she acts adult. For instance, her whole "bad boy punishing" thing or her getting drunk. And you can view her as a daughter-figure if you like, but don't make that everyone else's problem. She's a full-grown adult, but any ships or adult treatment of her by the fandom gets flamed because she seems "childish".
It's especially annoying because fans can't make the argument that either Nifty or Velvette are "in a canon ship already" like they could with Chaggie or Huskerdust or Lilifer. Their only reasoning against ships with them is the whole child thing.
Then there's Velvette. Most of the fanart I see of her involving the other Vees makes her very small and cutesy and want to portray her as a "daughter" to Vox and Valentino. (I'm sensing a common theme here with the whole "daughter thing"). I've heard that Vivziepop has confirmed Velvette to be in her thirties so that would be a very odd dynamic if she was so grown and close in age to Vox and Valentino. Valvox is basically canon, but some people ship the three Vees in a poly ship or some variation. It's all in good fun but people are attacked for it because they view Velvette as a child.
With Charlie, she actually is a daughter figure, so debates here are a bit more grounded in reality. She is Lucifer's child and has that dynamic going for her. Alastor also called himself a father figure to her out of the blue, though Vivzie confirmed that he was being manipulative to Lucifer and doesn't actually view himself that way. Charlie is also in a canon ship, which gives people ammunition against those who subscribe to non-canon ships.
If the woman in the show is "young" and isn't a mother like Carmilla or Lilith, then fans treat her like a child. Can people just enjoy their headcanons for themselves and quit weaponizing them against non-canon ships?

The “noncanonical pairings are usually wish fulfillment” thing is so bonkers because there’s so much variety in terms of what is “non canon.” By the strictest definitions of canon, something like Anthy/Utena isn’t “canon” in the original anime series because they never explicitly say they’re romantic lesbian lovers or kiss (except in the ending theme, which people often don’t count), even though the entire fucking show is about that relationship and it makes significantly less sense if you interpret them in a platonic way. Same with something like Yuuri and Victor in Yuri on Ice. Most people would call those “canon” (I would with both) but I’ve seen people fight over it because it’s not “explicit enough.” A lot of people who are used to really didactic storytelling — which, lbh, is clearly a lot of people in fandom spaces based on the discourse that gets started here — don’t really know what to make of works like Revolutionary Girl Utena that rely a lot on symbolism and allusion, and in expecting their audience to do the work to meet them where they are rather than getting down to where the dumbest possible viewer is.
Then, on the next level, you get relationships that were built up to in some way, but then the writers later decided to take it another direction. You get ones that got a lot of subtext, but they were a same-sex relationship or an interracial relationship or something else taboo in a time before that was permissible in mainstream media of that kind. You get ones where it was the actors interpreting it that way, but not the writers; or the writers, but not the directors; or the directors and script, but the actor didn’t play it that way. (A good example of both of the last two examples: Garak/Bashir from Star Trek Deep Space Nine, whose actors have both admitted to playing them that way and supporting the ship, and where the creators have basically said they saw that there was something there but knew they wouldn’t be able to get away with that on a Star Trek show then.)
On the next level down, you might get something where it fits into a well-established romantic trope but the creator somehow has no idea of but the fans pick up on it — for instance, maybe they would only see it as romantic if it were between a man and a woman, but this is two women, and they don’t recognize how it’s going to look different to someone who is less heteronormative in their thinking. Maybe the creator just has such a strong bias against some particular combo of characters that they don’t want to acknowledge what they wrote by accident. (Like how J.K. Rowling was so mad that so many of her readers liked Draco Malfoy even though it’s pretty obvious to anyone else what’s so appealing about how she wrote that character, but for relationships rather than individual characters.)
And then of course, you do get some ships that are just completely out of left field, someone projecting a particular dynamic really hard that they wish was there on some characters that don’t have that kind of chemistry at all to anyone else watching/reading/etc. One of my fandoms had a really vocal group get really into a ship like that recently (because the person who started it framed it as “progressive” and herself as a bit of a BNF so a lot of younger discourse-addled people went along with it who also thought the more popular main ship was “problematic”) and it was annoying because they were so self-aggrandizing about how there was all this hidden subtext that no one but them was seeing because we were all less social justice enlightened than them or something. When it was really just that those characters didn’t have that dynamic at all, but they THOUGHT they should. There was a lot of hilarious misinterpretation of scenes that were in context, not remotely shippy, but one character was touching the other one very slightly or something.
But IME, those kinds of ships getting any kind of substantial following is rare. Most fairly popular ships that are non-canon, including pretty much every non-canon juggernaut ship I’ve ever seen (going back to DS9, Garashir is like 45% of the DS9 fanfic on AO3 last time I checked, so it’s definitely a juggernaut ship), there is at least SOMETHING there that comes from the original work. Even if it’s just “these two guys have the kind of buddy-cop dynamic that slash shippers often like to envision in romantic ways,” “this guy and this girl are the kind of lifelong childhood friends that we’re used to being romantic in anime like this so a lot of people started shipping them immediately,” “these two girls have the kind of Fuffy/Catradora/etc. friends-to-enemies-to-friends-again-to-lovers dynamic that makes a lot of femslashers lose their minds,” etc. Even with those three examples, while it may not be *intentional* on the part of the creator, it’s bizarre to say those people are “projecting” when they’re responding to those couples fitting into longstanding media trends that a lot of people identify. “Projection” to me is something like the earlier example I gave of the obnoxious people in my one fandom, where they are just determined to make some square peg fit a round hole because they’re desperate to have everything be round. And again, I don’t think that’s nearly as common as a lot of people, and especially salty het shippers who want to demonize the popularity of M/M or F/F in their fandoms, seem to think it is. (Also, like het-only shippers aren’t the ultimate in seeing romantic dynamics with every time a man and a woman are close at all, and throwing a fit when it doesn’t happen in canon, lol)
(I also think some of these people confuse the “projection” for people who are more dedicated rarepair shippers, where the motivation is often more “okay this might not be here but WHAT IF” than sincerely thinking the work is actually doing something that it isn’t really doing. Again, I’ve met people who are into rarepairs who just seem to have a really bad lack of understanding for what “subtext” is and confusing anything they wish was there with “subtext,” but I think those people are a rarity. For a lot of people who like rarepairs, the fact that it’s not at all what canon is suggesting is something they are aware of and that is The Point. It’s “I know the work doesn’t actually suggest this, but how can I change it so that it does”)
--
In my experience, that particular flavor of oldschool homophobe invariably ships tons of het that is not actually canon.
They just don't like it when 1. anything that's not their favorite gets popular and 2. people think a character could be queer without it being literally stated in the first episode/page.

So. How ‘bout them Spindlehorse employee abuse allegations, huh?
Don’t worry, we’re not going to talk about those here. There’s a case to be made that we probably should, but we’re not going to, not right now. Today we’re talking about July 5th and 6th, 2020, the days after Stolas carried a drunken Blitzo home and put him to bed. They’re much quieter, and no one throws up, but no less significant.
Here, Stolas simply gives Blitzo a present he knows he’ll enjoy -- a Spirit hoodie -- with no strings attached. Blitzo immediately loses his mind, with one user joking that Stolas has found his weakness, but really, it was never much of a secret. Stolas has known about Blitzo’s love for horses and his favorite movie for a while now; they’ve had a movie night together. So Stolas gets him a hoodie and sends it over with no creepy fawning, no sexual come-ons or puns about riding, just normal conversation and some liberal use of emojis. He takes a picture of himself wearing the hoodie first, but only because he’s “feeling cute.” Before!Stolas never lacked for confidence.
(We see that he received the suggestion from Angel Dust. The Instagram accounts for the Hazbin characters have since been wiped clean, no longer interact with the Helluva characters, and for legal reasons couldn’t even if their moderators wanted them to, but they used to interact quite a lot and it was always very cute.)
Blitzo receives the hoodie in the mail right on time and grumpily, but not exactly unhappily, notes that it smells like Stolas. The most recent episode includes a picture on current!Stolas’s phone of Blitzo wearing this very hoodie and looking utterly miserable, and it’s meant to serve as a reinforcer of how hollow their relationship is and how much Blitzo dislikes being around Stolas, which Stolas angsts over in a way that seems to blame Blitzo. But here, this incident will be immediately followed up by Blitzo sending Stolas a gift card for coffee. Here, this is just one of several instances where the two exchange little presents. Here, we see a Blitzo and Stolas who are basically courting.
Meanwhile, in the series proper, Blitzo and Stolas are crying on their couches, their days of being gentle and respectful solidly banished to the realm of the noncanon, and every episode running out of ways in which they can potentially be brought back to that in a way that feels natural.
Lastly, I want to leave you with this person’s comment. It’s funny, but it’s also sadly prophetic.
Tumblr media
They’re not correct, but they will be. Lapis and Jasper’s relationship was full of tears and chain symbology too.

Star Trek Generations
+ IDW's Spock: Reflections
+ Picard Season 3
+ Star Trek III: The Search for Spock
+ OTOY + The Gene Roddenberry Archive's "765874 - Regeneration"
+ William Shatner's "The Return"
+ Star Trek TOS: The Cage
We are talking PIC S3 Spoilers, William Shatner's The Return Spoilers, Star Trek Generations Spoilers, IDW's Spock Reflections Spoilers, I mean you name it there are a lot of intercollected lore threads to tease apart here.
So we have a YouTube clip, a comic series, Picard 3 Easter Eggs, a novel, and a movie from 29 years ago. Are they planning something for the 30th anniversary of Generations? Maybe, maybe not.
But all of these little interconnected storylines are very interesting to say the least. I'm not sure what to make of it all honestly, or what's going on. But here's what we know so far.
Don't read on if you don't want spoilers for the above entertainment BC this story thread weaves into a lot of different Star Trek media, both canon and noncanon.
This video sums it up nicely and connects all the dots I've also been wending on since that clip (OTOY + The Gene Roddenberry Project) dropped:
youtube
Was chatting with some fans about this recently and you know, maybe it's delulu, but all we really have at this juncture are fan theories to fill in the gaps as they've just given us a few little breadcrumbs.
Spock visiting Viridian III, the parallels to William Shatner's The Return, Spock: Reflections:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
My full series of Spock: Reflections segments tying into this clip can be found here.
And the Easter Egg from Picard Season 3 tying this into The Return and Jim's body being recovered. We see in The Return and PICS3 Kirk's remains are collected for "Project Phoenix".
Tumblr media Tumblr media
More info taken from the screens in PIC S3:
Tumblr media
A number of times within and outside recent canon, Jim's death has been referred to as alleged, or that he was critically injured/wounded.
As seen above on the screen shown next to Kirk's body in PIC S3, he is referred to as "critically injured".
If you listen during this scene, there is also a classic TOS throwback sound effect of a pulse -- a heartbeat life sign being measured (3:57):
youtube
Before you see Kirk's body you also see there is a "Genesis II" Project; Genesis I was used to revive Spock from the dead in Star Trek III: The Search For Spock. (Around 3:42)
Tumblr media
Just a lot of plates spinning, wheels turning, dots connecting.
It's interesting that there are so many threads linking here, woven from Star Trek books to canon shows to YouTube clips to Star Trek comic books . . .
Plus this Shatner interview released by OTOY, which made it very clear that he had always intended to keep playing Kirk. Apparently Rick Berman had totally shut him down when he proposed ideas for bringing back the character.
Also that he would wholly be open to returning to the role depending on in what capacity:
youtube
Furthermore, a ton of the clips and tester shots that OTOY has filmed with The Roddenberry Archive have the number "765874" in the title, which is the badge number of Yeoman J.M. Colt.
I talked about her in another post -- she only appeared in The Cage pilot/The Menagerie.
Tumblr media
She was also only one of four crewmembers serving about Pike's Enterprise who interacted with the Talosians, had gone to their planet, or who could even talk about them.
It's forbidden from anyone in Starfleet to read about that mission report without permission, and visiting their planet was one of the very rare instances where visiting would have serious penalties, including a death sentence (similar to how the Genesis planet was forbidden in Star Trek III: The Search For Spock).
Tumblr media
Anyway, how does she tie into this? Why is her serial badge number the title to so many of the clips, including the Veridian III clip?
Tumblr media
Curious developments.
So anyway, now that I feel like this;
Tumblr media
What are they up to?
This is wild.

beard marriage having a small fandom means we get such special instances such as ‘jarsis shipper who makes webweaving posts gets ten different people after him for saying bonelia is noncanon while implying jarsis is (???)’ and everyone knows about it. thank you bearddom

Movie!Hinny Positivity Post
Scrolling through my posts, I realize I tend to shit on Movie Hinny, Ginny, and Harry a lot lmfaooo, so I thought I’d make a Movie!Hinny positivity post to prove to myself I really can be optimistic about a mostly pessimistic adaptation if I try. Feel free to reblog and add more to this list if I missed any!
1. The MOVIE SOUNDTRACKS HOT DAMN. The songs “Ginny” and “When Ginny Kissed Harry” has to be in my top 3 movie songs (right after “Snape to Malfoy Manor” aka the title theme song to DH1). They are just so angelic and beautiful that it makes their kissing scenes way more palatable to watch imho.
2. The intense, piercing, soul-searching way Harry looks at her in the last three movies (though mainly HBP). Even though they don’t really speak to each other much in HBP, their heated looks manage to tell a story of their own that I don’t even think Romione does until some parts of DH1. Seriously, Harry doesn’t look at anyone in the heated way he looks at Ginny, not even Cho, Romilda, Luna, or the waitress diner girl at the beginning of HBP, whom if they were given noncanon romantic looks were nowhere near as searing as the ones he gave to Ginny. (The only time he gets even close is to Hermione during the noncanon dancing tent scene but I’m trying to keep this post positive lmfao so let’s move on…). For instance, even if you don’t like these scenes there’s no denying the actors - especially Dan Rad - mastered the great art of eye-fucking. Think about it: the looks when Harry gazes up at her while she’s at the top of the Burrow all-Repunzel-Flynn-Ryder-style with the song “Ginny” playing in the background, when Harry finishes that tension-filled hug also at the Burrow, when he’s listening to her brothers tease Ginny about Dean in Fred and George’s shop, when Ginny walks in late during Slughorn’s dinner and he stands up and stares at her, when she walks in the RoR in DH2 and the hard set of Harry’s jawline and eyes go soft when they see her, when SHE ASKS TO ZIP UP HER DRESS AND THE UP-AND-DOWN LOOK HE GIVES LITERALLY RIGHT WHILE HES DOING IT OH MY FFFFING LORDDDDD 💦💦💦🌊🌊🌊. Anywho.
3. The hug Ginny gives Harry after Dumbledore dies. A beautiful addition to the books that actually contributes to the strength of their relationship. In the books, Ginny is the only one to pull Harry away from his beloved mentor and idol’s body, but in the movies, she stays with him and holds him through his pain, really emphasizing her role as his greatest source of comfort. Both versions of course were cute, but this was not bad either.
4. When Ron says “you know why I listen to the radio every day? So I don’t hear Ginny, or Fred, or Molly” and Harry goes “you think I’m not listening too? You think I don’t know how this feels?!” Okay, I know that the focus of this fight in the movie was not on Hinny but at least it shows that Harry was thinking about her even if not all of his actions in the tent scenes did.
5. Right before the Golden Trio Disapperates from Fleur and Bill’s wedding and Harry shouts “Ginny!” while running to protect her but Lupin holds him back and pushes him toward his friends. (Which btw is very much reminiscent of when Lupin holds him back from running to Sirius right after he dies AND as we see later in DH2, when Arthur holds Ginny back from running to “dead” Harry as she shouts “No. NO!”). An uncharacteristic thoughtful small scene written by the man himself, Steve Kloves, everyone, who would’ve thought.
6. When they kiss in DH2 spontaneously and Ginny goes “I know,” which many assume to mean that she knows that Harry was about to tell her he loves her. This was also their least cringey on-screen kiss, so extra points for that. ALSO FUN FACT which y’all might know already and I’m just slow but did you know that Daniel Radcliffe and Bonnie Wright actually improvised that kiss scene? There’s an interview online in which DR talks about it (he says something along the lines of “I could die any minute now, Ginny. We should probably kiss” in that very awkward, dry way that he’s known to talk in interviews lmfaoooo.)
7. when Hermione says “how does it feel like, when you see Dean with Ginny?” and after the whole Angry Bird™️ live action moment she performs, Harry goes “It feels like this.” I’m not a huge fan of this scene generally for other reasons but something about this dialogue was very poignant and was a good summary of his feelings even if the actual acting/scripts for other parts didn’t always match up.
8. The deleted scene of Harry desperately clutching Ginny’s hand while marching toward the Great Hall in DH2. Also plot-wise, it makes a lot more sense if they had not removed it because otherwise one is left questioning how Harry showed up in the following scene in which he accuses Snape.
9. In the Epilogue scene where Albus falls behind and Ginny and Harry look at each other with the same cadence as an old married couple who just internally know each other and their child and how to console him. It just screams long-term intimacy and maturity, I love it. The glance happens for a millisecond but it’s definitely, obviously there.
10. In COS where Ginny runs away from Harry when they first meet is honestly the cutest thing in the history of forever. Plus the way Harry runs and I mean runs to her cold almost dead body and grips her hand when he finds her on the Chamber floor.
11. This is less of a Movie Hinny thing but a Movie Ginny thing but you guys. The sheer COMMAND my girl has on the Quidditch field in the match against Slytherin. Even though the focus is on Ron’s victory (another soundtrack song that ranks prolly #5 for me), if you pay attention to Ginny’s plays, she’s absolutely fucking fierce and impressive as hell. To the point that the strength of her Quaffle throw knocked a few Slytherins against the hoops too. Again, it’s subtle but unmistakably, purposefully there.
12. Another Movie!Ginny appreciative moment is literally almost all of her dialogue in GoF. (“I think you’re in love, Ron.” “I’m not wearing that it’s ghastly.” “Don’t be so rude.”) She’s hilarious and where was that sass and spunk in the later movies where they actually mattered??
13. Again, again, again, the friendly but awe-encompassing looks he gives her in OoTP when she beats the shit out of that dummy with her Reducto spell and when he compliments her Patronus (“Excellent, Ginny!”). You can definitely see that the movie producers, director, and whatnot are trying to get viewers to see her at least as powerful and contributive, if nothing else.
What Movie!Hinny positive moments did I miss that you appreciated?

ok no the twitter thing baffles me so much like u are gonna say with ur entire chest u see varian as a minor and therefore cannot write nsfw then ship him with hugo who is an adult. you gotta pick one please i am begging i cant take this anymore
not to get into fandom politics on hugogetsrawed, but this happens every couple of months in fandom. a bunch of minors discover a ship, find out someone wrote PORN?!?!? about it and freak the fuck out. and im all for minors have their own space (whether it be a minor only discord server or whatever) but when it crosses the line and they start harassing authors and artists who are creating nsfw of two consenting adults? that's when i start having a problem.
there's a lot of ick stuff in tts/7k (v*ripunzel/cass*arian for instance) so i get being wary of people writing explicit material. HOWEVER i can promise you that the majority of nsfw authors aren't imaging 14yr old varian in their head when they're writing their varigo smut.
anyway varigo ISN'T aged up, they are both canonically (or as canonically as they can possibly be in a noncanon concept for a comic) adults in 7k.
if writing varigo nsfw is problematic bc varian is a minor (which he isn't in 7k but whatever) than you can't ship varigo. bc hugo is like nineteen.
get good y'all. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Hi :)
I am here to be gay about Racer :)
so get this out of the way because oh my goodness it's funny to me, after the strike was settled, every newsie who could come had a party in (uhhh forgetting the name. uh the dinner we gathered at :thumbs up:), and Racer quite literally pulled me on top of a table to dance with me. um, he also accidentally pushed me off. fell right onto Sniper. poor kid, he was so over his head but oh my goodness get a better family. I did and will hold thatg over Racer;s head forever :D
Umm so while I may be aro now, in the past I wasn't and this leads to... an interesting combo of feelings. for instance, I remember kissing Racer in alleyways a few times. so now when I remember this in part I feel a bit weird at the idea of kissing somebody but oh my goodness so so so many butterflies. i cannot believe we had the guts to do that /pos
also during king of new york, Racer was up on a table and did (mostly retorical) do the whole 'aint I pretty, it's my city' line. However while most people were having good fun I was sitting in my chair, staring at Racer like he was the center of the universe and was narrowly avoiding saying 'yes. yes you are.' out loud.
genuninally how was Spot the only person who had a vauge idea something was going on and he just covered for us. he didn't know but he knew there was something between us and he did not give a fuck.
me and Racer did almost everything together. When I tayed at the abandoned lodging house, we slept on the same bunk. we made it so that we had the same selling areas, when i didn't stay at the lodging house and I saw Racer on the streets I pretty much just bolted towards him and didn't let go. when we would go get food, we always knew what the other person wanted.
oh. during Once and for all, just while we were getting ready to take the papers and run around the city, Racer and I held hands in front of the others. Nobody talked about it, but it filled me with a lot of comfort. We had already planned it so that we'd be only a street or two from each other, so that if we got worried and nervous we could go get reasuacne that we aren't alone. we did that a lot during the strike actually. any time we could, we'd hold hands. it meant that we weren't alone, no matter how hard things got.
My Racer... I love him so much. and now he has joined the ranks of Mari and Skizz, having at least one ask dedicated to rambling about him. - Voidling Anon
awhhhhgh
sorry i took a sec rereading this cause geez about half way through my brain decided to just start throwinf tomatoes at me like I just told an awful joke. but augh thats your guy fr! rghghagh i know with noncanons its always iffy on if you’ll ever find your folk but that’s all so fucking sweet mate. i really hope ya find him and all the other people who you miss one day

Yes but Bryke are still bitter to this day that Zutara is so much more popular than Kataang . I just find it weird why Zutara shippers are called the weird ones when all the stats and fanfics show they are the most popular ship by far. Instead they get treated like a weird unpopular minority of shippers which is not the case at all. Stats don't lie. Kataang is boring at best and people who are actually excited by it are the real minority despite canon forcing it. That should tell you something.
I don't like a lot about Bryke and their visions for the series(they made the fucking comics, for god's sake), but "Bryke are still bitter about Zutara" is something I hear getting thrown around a lot without a shed of evidence.
And argumentum ad populum is never a good argument about why one ship is better. There are about 36,000 ATLA fics on AO3; only about 6,600 are Zutara. 84% of fics do not include Zutara. Zukka, with 5700 fics, is nearly as popular as Zutara, despite having no canonical basis whatsoever. Does that prove that it's the "best ship" that the show "was clearly leading up to?" Even the majority of Zuko shipping fics don't ship Zutara.
And the situation is even clearer when we take a snapshot of the more recent fandom: Since June 2020, there have been 5101 Zukka fics updated, 4388 Zutara ones, and 2978 Kataang ones. Zutara is not the most popular ship among the current fandom. It's a very popular ship, but clearly a minority one in the fandom as a whole, especially since fans who are satisfied with canon's story and ships are probably significantly less likely to write fics(the "Azula Redemption" category would probably have vastly fewer fics if Azula got a good canon redemption, for instance).
I think it's pretty clear that Zutara is a large minority, but a minority none the less. I don't think this is a sign that it is a "good" or "bad" ship, one way or another. Certainly a lot of stuff that is insanely popular in the fandom ("Zuko is an awkward turtleduck," for instance) is also dumb, noncanonical, and nonsensical, and represents a flattening of the show and its characters, but being unpopular doesn't mean something is good. "The Fire Nation did nothing wrong" isn't nearly as popular anymore, thank god, but it's an incredibly bad take. The reason Zutara tends to receive a lot of pushback is because it's heavily pushed by a large and vocal minority, many of whom who frequently shove their very bad takes in the faces of everyone else. For example, the only reason I have somewhat of a distaste for the ship is that so many Zutarians demonize Aang, Mai, Azula, and Jet. Another example of this is you personally sending asks to an Azula blog about how Zutara was totally supposed be canon.
Again, Zutara is a fine ship, but I just don't think canon particularly supports it. We're talking about fanfiction, though. The operative question is not "is this canon," but instead "is this interesting," and I definitely think Zutara can be interesting.
