Of all the things to be trending for today, this was by far the strangest. In your line of work, rumors spread like wildfire. However: Rumors, especially of the dating variety, were typically between yourself and someone who you were photographed or with who mentioned you in an interview. Being rumored to date a man who you barely even knew existed? Well that was new. Luckily, after being in the same social circles for years, you were able to call a rival driver of your alleged BF one of your closest friends.

Two days after your conversation with Lewis, you sat at your dining room table filing out the card. Writing a short message filled with congratulations and well wishes before signing your initials and setting the card aside. Before your judgement got the best of you, you opened the card again and scrawl your phone number in small letters across the bottom. You knew the chances of him contacting you personally were slim to none, but you wanted to extend the invitation.

Tonight was yet another performance in yet another city. Your driver dropped you off at your hotel and you made your way up to your suite. Still buzzing from the energy of a stadium full of fans, you weren't particularly sleepy but your body was exhausted. Somehow you willed yourself to take a quick shower before collapsing into bed. After 20 or so threads, you made it to the messages you had received earlier in your very busy week. Humming softly, you opened another one and automatically clicked on the keyboard before glancing back up towards the top of the screen.

It was kind and simple, but you couldn't help but smile as your eyes scanned over his words. Because most nights you were either traveling or performing, the outlandish rumor only made its way into your mind when you checked your mentions and saw that you were still being tagged in a fair share of related memes. You paused and mulled over your response. Typing and deleting over and over until you sent back a similar pleasantry to his. Closing the app, you locked your phone and let it drop down onto the bed beside you. Even if your conversation stayed like this, you were still a bit excited to get a response from him. You didn't know where Fernando currently was in the world, but you could only assume you were in different timezones.

As the next weeks came and went, your correspondence with Fernando had shifted from mostly uninvolved to warm and friendly. You learned that not only did you both find your situation absolutely hilarious, but you had a surprising amount of commonality. Including your sense of humor and a shared love of cats.

You and him had began to talk more and more. In between tour rehearsals one day, Fernando messaged you inviting you to the next race. You thanked him before joking about people's reaction if you were able to attend. Making a mental note to inquire about your schedule with your team.

Aside from the low drone coming from the drivers walkie talkie, the car was silent. Leaning your head against the window, you watched the clouds pass by from behind your tinted sunglasses. It not only a warm and sunny Sunday, but it was a rare day off for you. Soon, the car had slowed to a stop. Only moments later the door opened. Revealing your smiling agent, standing next to what you assumed was some kind of F1 press officer. You let the pair lead you towards the Aston Martin garage, followed distantly by your usual security guards. Stopping on occasional to take a selfie with your adoring fans. The further you walked, the more you felt the countless eyes on you. The one aspect of fame you could never quite accept: the near constant stares. Thankfully, as you entered the emerald green marked garage, you felt the stares fall away. Celebrities were no oddity in these areas.

Ok, so quick question fellow HH fans. What is Velvet supposed to be based off exactly, like her theme? Yes, I know she was a maid cosplayer in her earlier design but they kinda got rid of that.

Edit: I saw someone say she is a clown/jester which I think is pretty cool ngl.

Valentino is very clearly based off a moth with his fluff and wings and its obvious he is the porn overlord with his pimp fit. The moth theme is quite clever given how irl moths emit pheromones during sex to make it more inticing. His red and white color pallet gets this across as well.

Vox likewise has a tv head and Wi-Fi symbols, blatantly signalling what he has power over along with an electric themed color pallet. The more subtle shark theming with his lair and coat tail shape is a nod to the sin of greed given how shark demons come from the greed ring(helluva boss). His wardrobe being a parallel to Alastor (which I made a post about) and theming makes it clear what he is all about even if it’s nor 100% original (if it ain’t broke don’t fix it)

The character designs, despite all the bashing from haters of Vivzies art style get their point across which is the most important role of character design.

Velvet on the other hand, I am not so sure. If she is based off an animal, idk what she is. Looking at her upfront, you can get the idea that she is an edgy bitch. The only thing she kinda has to play into her social media stuff is the hearts on her vest(?) and the constantly changing hairstyle and scene kid outfit. If I had no prior info, I would think she was Valentinos evil assistant with the repeating heart theme or Val and Vox’s love child incarnate. She doesn’t give Social Media overlord on her own.

I did notice she had a line that is perpendicular to her lips that gives her a doll like appearance which could play into the social media perfection angle but nothing else from her current design seems to go along with this theme.

Now, I have my gripes with a certain genre of character redesigns(the ones who in bad faith trash the originals and try to “fix it” by making the exact same mistakes in their improved one) but if I had to redesign her, I would give her a clear theme.

You could lean into an ocean theme based off internet lingo like “surfing the net” and how the Envy ring in helluva boss is speculated to have a deep sea theme and be ruled over by leviathan(if you like the theory that sinner’s demon form takes inspo from the native born demons that originated from the ring of hell their corresponding vice they most indulged in their earthly life was.). Or perhaps a cat theme given how ubiquitous they are in the early internet, social media and memes.

Perhaps instead of hearts, Vivzie could of used thumbs up, which on social media is an almost universally understood symbol. Maybe more phone or app based iconagraphy(copyright free of course)

Maybe a color pallet that looks less like a blend of Vox and Val’s color pallet that could stand on its own. I think keeping red would be a good call given how vox and Val also have that color, which would unify them as a trio. She has a tendency to blend into the background given how her pallet is both muted(the reddish looking color) and neutral (white and grey)

Idk, I am not expert on this stuff but that’s just what I see.

Summary thoughts: this was really good and I like that MW has taken the time to address the NE fallout before moving on to whatever is coming next, I'm mostly just excited for that whatever-comes-next now. I didn't expect this story to still be focused on the same planet, but it's cool that it was! And now we're moving on with more machine intelligences and rogue secunits in play!! And they mentioned the comfortunit from artificial condition so hopefully that'll come back into play soon as well! I feel like something is building up wrt construct rights in the setting and I'm very excited to see that, but in the meantime I loved getting this familiar romp through MB having a very bad day and working through its emotions while also trying not to die. And it was fun having the twist on the usual formula with things being so isolated and it having to handle everything while being off its game, it felt a lot more tense than some of the other entries just by virtue of the fact that MB's narration was so much less confident than usual, and it made it really nice to hear the fire come back to its voice once we hit that point in the story. 11/10 as usual I love this bot so goddamn much

like first of all ik this is a little hyperbole and Not Exact but i still wanna talk about it a lil.

so like first of all the concept art i think this is based off is very early when elsa was the villain and looked a lot different to anna and anna looked the same but her silhouette was different

and it does look cool and i do love it but this doesn't fit the direction the film went it so they changed it.

the beast looks like a completely different species here than the completely different species he is in the later ones.

and like ik the frozen one is more dramatic of a change but the point is they all change for reasons and so does the plot and the actors and the script and everything changes.

but also like idk if Frozen is the film you wanna go for when you're talking about boring character design. so lets go through elsa and anna's journeys (just frozen 1 bc its 3am and im tired i just can't sleep until i finish this rant).

so the first time we see elsa and anna are at 7 and 5 years old respectively. as you can see, they both wear clothes simmilar to clothes theyre gonna wear later in the film. elsas clothes, hair, and colour scheme are very similar to what she transforms into at the end of let it go: hair braided and a very simple light blue dress. anna's look reflects her at elsa's coronation: a green dress with her hair tied back.

if we look at elsa at her coronation, it's very different from what she wears from the rest of the film. it's still got shades of blue, but they're all much darker and it contains 2 colours she will never wear again in the enterity of the franchise, let alone the film: black and purple. it's also the only time that she wears something that covers her from neck to toe. in addition, her hair is pinned up. to me this represents her repression of her power at the fear that she can't use them or she'll hurt someone or worse: anna.

lets move on to what anna wears at the coronation. its like a final evolution of the same dress she's been wearing the whole time. this shows that she hasn't really had to repress and can continue being her true self at the coronation. im gonna move on quickly because theres something more exciting that happens to anna's look very quickly

he marks a time for me where i began embracing what i like just... for the sake of it!

he embodies the things that inspired me to draw online in the first place. hell, sparklecat characters with bangs have made me stop cutting my hair. i haven't cut my hair properly since. just because i wanted the same bangs, not knowing how hair works. now i have what is best described as messy fluttershy hair. to many people just how long my hair is, is what defines me when they see me and my hair is in a way special to me.

and again - he was what inspired me to draw. in class i'd be drawing my own sparklecats at the age of like 8, with bangs and wings and little companions that sit on clouds that rain hearts. (and bolts and skulls when ANGRY!)

i put rainbows on everything. i thought nyan cat was the embodiment of everything good in the world. i listened to nightcore versions of songs only. i say, as i am listening to nightcore, right now.

because of all these old classic animation memes and sparklefurs and silly scene and emo song flash animations i'd find... i'd pick up ms paint and draw. i imagined just how i'd animate, finding even the simplest methods absolutely mesmerising. there is something to be said about me being this young with internet access - because it very much so had it's negative effects. not me watching fetish videos at the age of 8 just because it had pokemon in it. yea that did not have any lasting effects.

but despite all this shit - it raised me! and even just a few years later... like.. 2015 when i began posting online on deviantart for the first time, not being just a lurker... learning how The Computer works better - not only drawing on paper anymore and gaining more and more interest towards digital art... i was already nostalgic towards these earlier days. but still living IN it, y'know?

just having fun, doing my own thing! isn't that what art is all about?

well. then the cringe culture nation attacked. severe bullying at school. and in general, just shame - which i am still fighting in certain aspects. but it's a bit more complicated than just "shame". (more so fear of Things.)

i'd look back at things with either genuine "cringe" or a distaste. how DARE these people have fun? because deep down, i was simply jealous.

if i was going to reference anything old like this, like classic animation memes, it was framed as "JOKE" "NOT SERIOUS" because i feared i would be harassed, made fun of, or people would thing THAT is the best of my artistic abilities. but... it's not like that.

and now, more and more people are embracing this. and it makes me so happy. and shadow filbo helped me fight off these fears a lot and just let me love what i love and be myself.

maybe it's not an ""aesthetic"" that completely defines me, maybe it IS a tik tok trend to do nowadays - but i don't care. without any of this i wouldn't be here. those were my first inspirations. silly colorful cats animated to crunchy mp3s of songs using movie maker and 3 (three!) frames drawn in ms paint. it had so much charm. it had so much genuinity. and i could feel it even back then.

without it i might've not been here as i am now. there are so many things that go into this, of course. but i simply would not be the exact way i am. and i dunno. that's something to think about.

I’ll answer the second question first: I think I’d get flung pretty far. But the real question is, do you think the flicker would be able to survive the wrath of a newly grown, previous flickee, 50 ft tall angry giant with the temper of a short person?

To answer your first question, though, I made a nice short essay. It’ll be under the cut.

To start with, g/t is short for giant/tiny. It encompasses the overall vibe the fandom gives, which is media based off of size difference. It can be small difference, like someone who’s 5’7 and someone who’s 10’. Or it can be a large difference, like someone who is bigger than, say, Jupiter. But the most common size differences is usually between a human and a borrower (little person, usually around 2-4 inches tall), or between a human and a giant (giant usually ranges between house size and taller than a mountain size).

There are some media that are wholly based around the concept of g/t, such as: ‘The Secret World of Arrietty’, ‘The Iron Giant’, and ‘The Indian in the Cupboard’. But there are also some pieces of media with accidental g/t, such as: ‘Night at the Museum’ and season 2 episode 3 of ‘Good Omens’.

*climbs into your askbox like an old friend* I just wanted to come and say I vibe so hard with your feelings about Outer Wilds! Unfortunately for stupid reasons of physical impediment I'm unable to play games with a controller and it is, as it turns out, pretty impossible to play on mouse and keyboard, so i had to experience it through other people's playthroughs which was a huge shame. but nevertheless, I absolutely agree with "rewrote my brain"!!

Interestingly enough, I had the exact opposite experience with the control schemes -- I played the game using keyboard & mouse pretty comfortably, and absolutely would have suffered with controller. In the early game the controls do take some getting used to (particularly the delayed jump and zero-gravity maneuvering) and I was using a pretty awful button mapping setup earlier on, but with the exception of [THAT SECTION] that controller can arguably-slightly-cheese I preferred the ease of looking around and aiming my scout that kb&m provided. Though I'll admit I'm biased in that regard, as I've gone to pretty comical lengths to avoid having to use a controller for anything (looking at you, Sonic Adventure 2) and thus never really learned how to hold/use them.

That aside, even though you didn't get to play the game on your own, I'm glad you were able to enjoy other folks' playthroughs -- there are some seriously awesome ones out there. Since it's impossible to replay Outer Wilds for obvious reasons I always try to push people towards experiencing it on their own first, but in a situation where you can't I'm glad you still got to see it through one way or another.

As for the actual point of the ask hahaha, yeah, gosh, this game just fundamentally dug into me in a way others haven't. I legitimately went through the five stages of grief over the game's ending.

The game is also just great at putting you in the shoes of the Hatchling. With the exception of like, continuing a save after getting the kazoo meme ending which technically "doesn't happen," you explore the world and learn everything entirely in-character, which made it all hit much harder for me. It didn't feel like I was observing a story, it felt like I was the one making it and uncovering the mystery and having all of this happen to me. That and the fact that I had some personal things going on in my life around when I played Outer Wilds that aligned with the game's themes, leading to it kinda taking me out on a very personal level.

Outer Wilds also just seemed perfectly engineered to suck me in, haha. It's got computer simulations! Black holes! Quantum mechanics! I was the kinda kid who lived for space documentaries so getting to fly around and explore everything was amazing. Going through environmental puzzles, reading adorable exchanges with the nomai, getting to see the most incredible sights (the door falling away at the [SPOILER] and having to make a leap of faith to get across the gap was amazing), and putting it all together in a wild red-string conspiracy board...I completed the entire game over the course of like, 2-3 days as I recall? Just entirely immersed for that time.

It's inspired me so much in my stories and how I think about mysteries. It's the best time-loop game out there, and the presentation of the sandbox mystery is just unparalleled in any other game. Hence why everyone who's played it is left looking up Youtube playthroughs and chasing that high again -- personally I think going into the original Subnautica game blind touches some of the same feelings, but you're never really gonna get the Outer Wilds Experience again.

The mechanics are great, the mystery is presented wonderfully; I fell in love with the environments and the characters and the dialogue. The themes were tied into the story very naturally and hit me right in my core. Obviously I can't really replay it, but I do sometimes boot it up just to reread some sections or go hang out on Giant's Deep for the ambiance; it's comforting and nostalgic in a weird sort of way.

Sorry that this response isn't anywhere near coherent. I'm very, very tired right now, and I love Outer Wilds a lot and won't pass up a chance to ramble about how great it is. It's a very special game to my heart and dug into me in a way other games often can't do. It's not for everyone, but if it is for you it's REALLY for you. Clearly I like it and clearly you like it. So thanks for climbing into my askbox and setting me off, haha.

So earlier I posted commentary about the ways he has been attempting to maliciously invert conversation, where fans who like the show are bad somehow, and ones that argue down what the creatives are saying on main are good, somehow. Very classic fandom toxicity/manipulation tactic in fandoms well outside of SPN.

Because, not only has he been trying to diminish Jensen, he's been trying to talk over Robbie, history, he's been telling people to disregard anything the crew said because his opinion of "nothing means anything" is more important, he's been disrespecting the alchemists hired specifically to design this set and show among other elements, and more.

But he just tried it. "Saying something isn't a passion project isn't being an anti!!"

well. No. If it was true. You're right. Not everything in the world is a passion project. But this is how psychopaths manipulate conversation.

That nugget of truth ("not all things have to be passion projects!!!") is placed in the conversation out of context, disregarding the fact that Jensen ran out the door to register Free Will Entertainment (to eventually become Chaos Machine) within a week of filming ending because he was that motivated. Securing the licensing by december even before he had a direction while maintaining radio silence on the finale and only endorsing 15x18. Then, holing himself up in his house. And, while he denies it now, as he loves to deny inconveniences, privately confiding in people how haunted he was that December, to the point people started making pitches. Ignoring the finale, amping Despair for a month instead.

Yeah, douchebag. Not everything is a passion project, but this is. In your post you acknowledged Windy isn't a passion project of Jared's. That's fine. I agree. It was a reactive project. But Jared and Jensen aren't the same person, these aren't the same show, they weren't made for the same reason and they don't have the same history or motivation.

It’s difficult for me to pinpoint an exact timeline for my RP history since my memory is hazy on it, but I’ve been at this for at least over a decade. The earliest memories I have of roleplaying begins in the Sonic The Hedgehog fandom. This was back when the fandom was a little less...what it is these days. At the same time, I also had my first foray into Dungeons & Dragons with my school’s tabletop club. I eventually started to RP on Maple Story and Mabinogi when I still actively played those two MMOs. Afterwards, I made it to tumblr, where I first started roleplaying on the site in the Mega Man fandom. The group I was with had a falling out over time which lead me to roleplaying in the Monster Girl Quest RPC. It was there that I met a number of friends and, perhaps surprisingly, got a taste of the Touhou RP scene. I took my steps into the HDN and Disgaea fandom around the same time, but eventually departed from MGQ roleplaying after a particularly unpleasant experience in being abandoned by that community.  I ran the HDN train for quite a while before it came to an eventual halt. Nowadays, I spend most of my roleplaying on Discord and came back to tumblr after many years of inactivity to branch out from that platform.

Honestly, it’s a mixed bag. You might think I have a leaning towards Fate since those are the only OCs and most of my canon muses on their respective blogs, but I have a dip in a lot of fandoms. As far as personality types are concerned, I try to write various character types to remain flexible, even if I have a leaning towards certain types over others. Namely, I don’t often write flirty/promiscuous characters or overtly evil/assholeish ones either. That isn’t to say I won’t write them, as doing so is often a good writing exercise for me. So really, I’m willing to try writing all sorts of characters if I think I can manage to portray them well enough. I suppose the only real preference I can think of is that I feel I write canon characters more than my own OCs.

FLUFF:  It’s something I need to work on as a writer. I tend to have more “neutral” interactions, so when fluff comes up, I feel the presentation I give is lacking. I will say that fluff oughta be done where it is realistic for the muses involved. It’s better that the fluff be genuine.

ANGST:  My views on angst are stunted thanks to being witness to it in excess during my earlier days of roleplaying, particularly from the Touhou and Monster Girl RP communities. That isn’t to say I’m wholly against it; angst is very good for character insight and does well when plot relevant or serving as a point of contention during an interaction. Like with most things, however, it needs to be done in moderation. Too much of it cheapens it to the point of being unappealing.

SMUT: Considering that I used to roleplay in the Monster Girl Quest sphere, you might get the impression that I write it a lot and I did write it frequently back then. (It was an eroge game, after all.) Presently, I don’t do it partly because the opportunity only rarely presents itself and I don’t think I’m very good at it. I won’t say that I’m not going to do it. Just that I’m going to be particular about when it happens.

PLOT / MEMES: I prefer plots to memes since I like to have at least some structure in an interaction. However, I recognize that not everyone wants a plot to occur for an RP to happen and you don’t really need one, which is why spontaneous interactions tend to be a default of sorts for a lot of people. That being said, those memes do well as a means of getting characters to interact and may even present new writing ideas, so I’m certainly not opposed to them in any capacity.

you know what i’m getting a little sick of seeing ppl complaining about this game pretty much all the time. like yeah it has a lot of flaws both in the storylines and sometimes design/graphics wise but it’s getting annoying seeing ppl be so negative

Oh god, this is reminding me of a post that I saw and ending up liking to "anchor" it so I could reblog it later. (Still need to do that.) That talked about this exact concept. About how, even if the criticisms of popular media are valid and constructive, and even if I actually agree with them...the endless bashing of the "bad" parts drowns out any other attempt to have a conversation about the good parts. HPHM is a pretty good example of this. Sure, it has it's problems, but the characters in this game are still phenomenal, and I think we shouldn't take it for granted that this game has a diverse cast of characters who are, by logic of the dating options, predominantly LGBT.

HPHM isn't the only example of this, though. Some of my top fandoms have become like this is in the last five years or so.

Doctor Who fans, you out there? I know, I know, you didn't like the Chibnall Era. But that's literally all anyone talks about. Some of us do like this era, and *insert Joker meme here* we're tired of pretending we don't. Especially since Jodie is the first woman Doctor. I'm not saying the criticisms are exclusively sexist, I'm saying I can't tell the sexist ones from the genuine complaints about the era and it's starting to exhaust me. In general, (and I've talked about this before) I think some of you are way too loyal to some imaginary legacy that you think was "ruined" by The Timeless Children...but this is Doctor Who, people. That same season completely un-wrote Gallifrey's return. The canon has always been at the whim of the current head writer. The Timeless Child is no different. It may or may not even last.

Game of Thrones fans...I mean this in the nicest way possible...but please, oh please, shut up about Season 8. I get it, no one liked the end of the show. That's understandable, that's valid. But the complaints are becoming overpowering, and this doesn't just impact discussion of S8. Most of the compliments toward the earlier seasons have now shifted focus to act as a comparison. If you're just talking about Season 4 to show me how good the show "used" to be, that's still being negative and that's equally draining. I can talk about what I don't like from S8, I can even go to town on it. But I acknowledge the good in that season as well. And even if you don't see the good, that's fine, but...there's only so many ways to say this before you're just repeating yourselves. You should also try to enjoy the earlier seasons without making it all about the show's "golden age." Just...every rewrite of this show that I see online gives is a happy ending, which it was never going to have. Ramsay even told us as much. This show's ending was always going to devastate us one way or the other.

I actually left the Star Wars fandom for this exact issue. I won't generalize, I know not everyone is this way, but it seems like damn near every single Star Wars fan with a voice has a hyper-specific interpretation of the Galaxy Far Far Away, and they get angry whenever anyone (official media and other fans alike) propose something that conflicts with their vision of this 'verse. Please, stop demonizing the sequels. I know they aren't perfect, but that point has been made. And stop trashing Rey, especially if you're romanticizing Luke and Anakin at the same time. I know I'll probably ignite a fire by saying this, but some of you treat Luke like he's a gift from God, and treat Rey as nothing more than a contemptible pretender. Star Wars protagonists have always been overpowered, guys. Again, I'm not saying everyone who does this is motivated by misogyny, but I can't tell the misogynists from the regular fans. Star Wars is a wonderful universe, and it achieved such a cult following that any follow-up was never going to please everyone. The prequels had the same problem when they first aired.

I was gonna talk about Harry Potter, but like...Rowling completely abandoned us and is now doing actual harm, so like...go ahead and trash her, I'm right here with you. Still, I think the same mindset applies here. Crimes of Grindelwald is not the "worst movie of all time," guys. Chill out. I have to admit that I kind of roll my eyes at the idea that the books were "always" terrible, and we just didn't see it until now. At the risk of being rude, my instinctive response to that is - grow up. Transphobic pieces of shit can also be really good writers. Admitting this doesn't mean I endorse Rowling as a person. Others have claimed that her bigotry is evident in the books, and I'm not knowledgeable enough about the various points that have been made to really critique them, but...I just don't see it. If anything, I think Rowling's past writing is proof that, at least at one time, she was on the right side. Which makes it all the more heartbreaking that she turned on us.

I love these stories and their fandoms, just...sometimes, being part of them is exhausting. Y'all should go watch CinemaWins. (Seriously, go watch Cinemawins, he's lovely.) If you feel this motivated to discuss the flaws of these particular stories...I've got news for ya. That means you're emotionally invested. So on some level, you're still enjoying yourself, right?

man, i just like how liberating it feels. when i was younger i used to write mainly for fun, but now after i got past years of writer's block i rediscovered just how freeing it really is. it's fun, sure, but it's also like you have all these thoughts running through your brain and you just feel the need to write them down, free yourself of that tangle of ideas by giving them a coherent form. it can be challenging, but it's the most satisfying thing to know you've created something from scratch, and even if sometimes i'm a bit harsh on myself when it comes to my writing and i can be like 'wow this suck balls' (which does not positively impact my mood, nor my mental health 😅), i'll just keep going from there, because it's even worse if you *don't* write, you know? (this sounds so dramatic lmao i'm sorry)

i mean, i think it's normal to do it? it comes automatically when you write and also read, especially in a fandom environment where each story is different, but characters and tropes stay the same. so you get to see what someone made of a specific trope, or how they described something, or how well they developed the characters' relationships - and you can't help but feel like you could never do it that way, and it can be a bit disheartening. there are some writers whose writing is so good and it seems so effortless, iykwim? like it just flows out naturally and beautifully, while you're over there stressing over a single sentence. but just because you don't see their writing process doesn't mean it's not there, and they're probably stressing over the exact same things. i think in the end we're all in the same boat 😅 also for me when i compare myself to other writers it's because i just admire their writing so much + reading great stories motivates me to keep writing

15. How do you think your writing has improved over time?

i don't even know where to start, like obviously it's not perfect and as i said earlier i'm actually the biggest judgmental bitch when it comes to my own writing, but one thing i think has improved a lot ever since i started writing fics (and especially with my most recent ones) is my ability to have patience. i'm the most impatient person ever so for example when i have a specific scene in my head i just want to get to it- but i also realise i need build up, and side information, and everything else that will lead to that scene and blend into a proper fic. i've been getting better at just giving my writing time to reach the desired destination without rushing to it

16. Do you re-read old fics? Is there a time in your writing you won’t go back to?

yeah, i love rereading my old fics even if some of them make me cringe so bad, especially the ones in my native language (in my defense i was really young when i wrote them hahah). but it's an endearing kind of cringe, like looking at younger me and telling her 'you go girl, you have absolutely no idea wtf you're doing, but you're doing it and you're having fun with it so it's alright'

the more recent ones i reread for comfort every now and then!

18. Do you only write when you’re inspired, or do you try and sit down at specific times and write no matter what?

i try to sit down almost every evening after dinner and write as many words as i can, i like having a routine

what i said for question 10 about crafting something completely from scratch, no matter if it's good or bad, or if it's the most self-indulgent thing ever written, it's still writing and it's still a form of art and i really love that. also the fact that sharing it online allows other people to enjoy it, and to know something i've created and that brought me joy can also potentially put a smile on someone else's face is completely mindblowing to me. like, most of the time it's someone who probably lives on the other side of the world and somehow, some way, now they have some kind of connection to you thanks to that silly story you put online. to know that you can have that positive influence on someone, to be connected to other people while expressing yourself and telling stories - i think that's the greatest thing that comes from writing.

It’s the way 6 is rated R and yet the gun doesn’t really have a graphic usage. It’s implied and shown but there isn’t a massacre or anything. … so true, why does michael feel so short in H20😭 Like, they managed to be more convincing with the stuntman switch from the Halloween 1978 to Halloween 2… and the guy playing michael in 2 was like a foot short if I remember correctly. Kills has some dumb scenes like with the gun and the car door, but I like it being a parallel to Halloween 2 in the same was that they mirror a love of Halloween in H2018. I loveeee the babysitter subversion was so good. And yesss about the clunkiness. I think that it keeps the story more simple and easier to understand, but it ruins Laurie because why would she have any reason to believe that Michael would come back? We do indeed all have our firsts🤭 Listen I’m all here for TASM 2 love… Gwen’s plot is so strong in the movie and I love the time motif. Peter’s stuck in the past, Harry’s running out of time to live, so on and so on. Exactly!! Tom is so good at handling darker material, as seen in The Crowded Room, so I would love to see something darker from his Spiderman.
