stupid pre-game concept that's somehow funny to me: all of the v3 cast are a little fucked up in some way or another. all of them auditioned because they genuinely like danganronpa, just want fame/fortune, wish to die, and/or did it for attention/the kicks. all of them... except for pre-game ouma. like he really isn't some boring and bland cookie cutter everyman, as he still has some flaws and problems he should overcome. but compared to the other students, he's literally just some guy. he's just a slightly overworked student council president who cares too much about getting approval from other people and doesn't know how to have close and sincere friendships with said people. the only reason he's dragged into the dumb game is because some mf signed him up without his notice.

he's concerned of all of them, and would like to help them, but for his own safety, he's also pushing them back with a 10 foot pole. maybe in a "pre-game but before they get kidnapped" scenario he meets momota on some kind of grocery trip, and y'know, it's not too bad, they're chatting about life and stuff. and then momota drops the "i auditioned for danganronpa recently (i plan to win by killing everybody btw)" bomb on ouma and he goes *windows xp error*

or maybe he meets saihara who rambles about the most gruesome executions passionately while ouma listens with a smile as his mind is tossed into the depths of eternal confusion and concern

So. I finished COTF last night (I was supposed to finish the last couple of chapters today, but I just couldn't wait, so I ended up reading the remaining chapters during the wee hours of the night. Whoops)

And I loved it. I loved the Sukehiro (/Roselei) dynamics, and how quickly Yami was able to take on the role of a father, even if he was in disbelief about it all. And Hikari, such a mischievous young woman (maybe taking influence from all the people around her while growing up, hehee)

Also: Asta being the only one to actually realize Yami calling Hikari his daughter, omg lmao that was hilarious!

I felt so bad for Ace, for having to see his parents fight, even if at that point they aren't.... really his parents yet, but still. And I loved how Josslyn is being so protective over Ace.

And Alistair. Just casually "Hey, you're my father" lmao. He doesn't beat around the bush I see (unless it's about his feelings for Hikari that is. Oh, young love...) I love their dynamic. Hikari's and Alistair's. They're so cute together! And. They. Should. Just. Confesssssss.

This is honestly such an inspiration! I really need to write Leon's arrival

Yay I’m glad you loved it 😁!! Yess i kinda feel like Yami unintentionally takes on a parental figure role with younger kids (whether he means too or no lol) so with Hikari it just felt natural and he easily slipped into the roll. Oh yes she’s for sure mischievous from what @eme-eleff told me hehe and i think it would be kind of natural for her to be influnced by all the other Black Bulls and kind of taking on a couple of their personality traits (even though she’s still a lot like Yami hehe)

Lmao I know I feel like Asta would be kind of in shock at it all but for some reason that word stuck out to him and he was just like ‘hey you called her your daughter’ and Yami’s just like ‘😑 of all people you’re the last one I ever thought would catch that’ or something 🤣!

I know poor Ace 🥺, he’s so adorable! I remember @crazyclownthanos saying on discord that Zora/Nebra fight a lot and I kind of borrowed that HC and used it here 😅 (although in my fic in the future they don’t fight in front of the kids which is why it was so upsetting for Ace), i think it would be very upsetting for him to see his parents fight even though, like you said, they aren’t really his parents yet. Yess I think Josslyn is very protective of her brother especially now that they’re in unknown territory!

Hehe I know Alistar just did not ease William into the news like the others he just ripped the band aid off 🤣! But he really doesn’t beat around the bush, I think he’s like his mom that way 👀, oh yeah when it comes to Hikari and his feelings for her he’ll go all around that bush lmao 😂 (my poor baby boy 😂😭).
