Behind the design

Flowers - I tried to emulate both daffodils and cherry blossoms in her design. Daffodils, also known as narcissus, are said to be the flowers that the spring goddess was drawn to. The flower itself represents rebirth and new beginnings. On the other hand, cherry blossoms represent spring and the fleeting nature of life.

The dress - This more on leans to Sephira's interests. She is a huge fan of the lolita subculture. This dress takes heavy inspiration from gothic lolita. Another thing to note is that there is some blot incorporated with the dress.

Pomegranate - Fun fact, those jewels on her collar are meant to mimic pomegranate seeds. There are 6 in total, which references the 6 seeds the spring goddess consumed. The pomegranate in her hand is a mere homage to the tale of the seeds as well.

Skeleton hands - I honestly thought it was just cool. But you could say it's a reference to her unique magic. Golden skeleton hands go brrrrr

Saw the OT3 ask and was curious-

Context: Clearly 'some work' would need to be done especially if you feel kike humoring *waves at S5* but do you think chloadrinette has thruple potential? There's all kinds of connections between each member in several ways. Clearly more 'aspirational' than 'oh this is obvious from canon.'

I feel like up until Adrien renounced Chloe completely as a friend, a much easier argument could be made. After I feel like Chloe would need a few years to mellow out and as adults maybe they could find some common ground again. I'll divide my thoughts based on this cut off point

Before

Fundamentally, her 'redemption' is key to it working. Even pre season 5, she had a lot of problems

I think if Chloe stayed on the right path, I could see a throuple forming. Chloenette is largely no problem. I like that genre of sapphic romance, Chloe redeeming herself through acknowledging she likes Marinette and all that means for her world view. Marinette overcoming her anger with Chloe and giving her a second chance, seeing that Chloe is trying. It would be slow but I love the passion that can be found in that dynamic.

When it comes to Adrien and Chloe, it goes differently. For a long time Chloe was the closest thing he had to a friend and she wasn't a very good one as he'd learn. But he's always searching for the scrap of goodness, hoping if he likes her enough she'll magically become kind. It's why he could stand by her so long. Chloe would need some great upheaval, maybe finally realising her mother will never love her and in Adrien being there, the emotional vulnerability would draw them together.

Coupled with her feelings for Marinette already opening her mind and Marinette and Adrien inching closer together, they'd be on a crash course for something.

It would be tricky to write, a fine balancing act but just possible to imagine.

After

I think the reveal of the depth of Chloe’s bullying — and how Marinette is rightly traumatised by it prevents a similar redemption to lovers like above. Adrien would never go for it, knowing the depth of how Chloe hurt Marinette and Marinette could never forgive so soon. In the above, Chloe’s connections to them could facilitate a redemption but knowing what we know now, I wouldn’t want her redemption being reliant on the girl she tormented and the boy she took for granted.

So I imagine in our current canon, it could work if Chloe improved herself independently. That years have passed until they all cross paths again and Chloe is eager to make amends. She’s sort of hamfisted about it, makes Marinette think she’s not being genuine but through a continued demonstration of her sincerity and respect for them, she could probably endear herself to both of them. Adrien had to have seen something in her as a child, so he’d see that spark, crushed by a desire for her mother’s affection renewed. Marinette could finally get closer and again some of the tension would be there to propel forward something spectacular.

Overall, while I like the potential of Chloenette (pre-season 5) and there’s a charm to childhood friends to lovers, I definitely prefer other throuple ships to them. Kagami just checks all my boxes. I think it slightly comes from my own thoughts about Adrien. I sort of struggle seeing him dating anyone other than Marinette and this is in part due to headcanons of him being on the ace/aro spec and also the show’s writing of him as the deuteragonist and primary love interest. The show is from Marinette’s perspective primarily so the audience can’t think he could really be with anyone else. All the symbolism of the show centres around them as a balancing pair. However Marinette, being the protagonist, has connections to many people in a lot of depth. That’s why I ship her with many people (also her inherent bisexuality xD).

Kagami’s miraculous is a miraculous of adaptability, the dragon has three powers. The wind, the rain and lighting, and so she can be the nexus of space between the ying and yang that is Marinette and Adrien.

I am really not sure how to feel about TMMN making Pie categorically worse than Deep Blue at the end of TMMN after DB’s brief turn, especially when Pie gets off scot-free like the rest of the aliens once he sees his own planet is okay. Why is Ichigo not kicking his ass???

I think I liked DB better as a selfish god and a foil to the aliens’ motives — which are generally rooted in good intentions for their people. This? I’m .. not so sure about.

Obey Me Nightbringer - Theory

Obey Me Nightbringer! Spoilers and Thoughts undercut

It is kind of long and rambly.

I was in the middle of going through Lesson 11 and 12 thoughts, but nope, our devs decided to drop Lesson 13 instead and leave it on a cliffhanger, like usual.

The first thing is damn you Barbatos. You know what the hell is going on and you refuse to tell us because you need us to do our own thing. I need to say that before I go on. I love him, but I wanna make him eat Solomon's cooking right now.

That screenshot is just one of those several times where he gets very quiet, knowingly quiet. I've said it before and I'm pretty sure that Barbatos is Nightbringer. Everything is just pointing to Barbatos being Nightbringer and if it is not him, then it is a demon we have yet to meet.

I have many thoughts and theories of what is happening and what is going to happen. I'll try to simplify them, but one is that Nightbringer did not bring us down there with malicious intent. They truly wanted us to be happy as they said,

The main thing that I can think of, it is just a theory, but I believe this is the beginning of our story. What we have gathered from hints and tidbits is that Nightbringer can see the future, and past and is very powerful which is why it makes sense to be Barbatos. It gives them the ability to see what will or could happen. I don't believe there was a time when it specifically said that it was a concrete thing. The future will be based on our choices. We are a wildcard that has great power.

Diavolo compared our power to the level of a grimoire, that book that makes a demon obey you without a pact. That high-level magic. We are always told we are powerful, but we truly frightened Lucifer when we got that grimoire. All the more impact it made when we gave him the book instead of using it. A choice that Solomon didn't realize we would do. We are always surprising the others to no end which is amusing, but again, we are a true wildcard. I am getting kind of sidetracked. Back to my point, our power gives us the ability to choose. We were told our choices would make an impact in this game and I believe others have stated it as well- we can choose how the future will change. It is a running theme of just how unhinged we are, of how our choices keep shocking those around us, time and time again.

So why am I bringing all that up? Simple, we are at the center just like Solomon was before. Being forced to pick a side- one of 3: Celestial Realm, Devildom, or the Human World. Solomon picked. We know what he picked, but Solomon also didn't have any real attachments to the up or down. We do.

We've made friends with angels, demons, and even a neutral party. We have a connection with all three worlds, strong connections and we could go anyway which is very dangerous. Our connections made a new thing called 'The Ring' that make chaos in all three worlds. It was so powerful and unstable that it could've killed us and everyone if it wasn't severed or we got to stabilize it with the ring of light. We are powerful and are a threat. That is why Diavolo tried to send us back to the human world(which wouldn't work anyway) and why the mystery voice decided to warn us.

Who do I think this is? Simple, Michael. It makes the most sense. Let's talk about Michael aka the Sugar Jellyfish for a second. He is a very interesting character to me. We have yet to actually physically meet him in-game, but he sure does know a lot about us. It is quite possible he heard everything from Luke and Simeon after all, but Raphael tells us that he learned a lot of MC from Michael.

Michael is such a strange existence for me. He is a powerful being like Diavolo and of course, Lucifer. He is Diavolo's counterpart at this point more than likely since they are the de-facto rules of their respective realms. He shares a similar personality to Lucifer - they were like "twins" as Satan has put it. He was known to talk to out and not use violence as that was Lucifer's goto.

"Michael is calm, yet stern, when he is angry. He prefers to talk rather than use physical discipline, in contrast with Lucifer." - Obey Me Wiki (Michael). That is a great way to put it, but he wasn't above physical discipline.

Now, what about that sentence about the Celestial Realm being less tolerable regarding our behavior? That could be from the original game. We were getting very close to the Devildom. It is shifting the power too much for the CR's liking.

Barbatos said it all in the first game. After all, this is a continuation of the first game. When you finish lesson 80 the door will instruct you to go to Nightbringer to continue the story. When we were in the coma, the voice brought up the fact that they saved us before.

In the first game, there are only 2 separate events that the voice could be referring to. The event when we received the ring of light(38-17) OR when we got sent back in time in a dream from eating Solomon's cooking(44-18). I believe they are referring to when we were sent in the past. The Ring of Light saved us, not the voice in the ring event, but the voice did send us back to our own time from the food event. They also have the same tone.

Plus time wise- it makes sense. We were sent back when the brothers were still angels. So this event of us promising and falling under the curse technically happened after this. It makes more sense for the voice to refer to that than the Ring of Light event. If this is Michael, it makes sense he is still on edge. The war just ended, and the wound is still fresh. Time hasn't passed enough that he has come to regret his actions because he does. He has thoughts of what ifs and could haves. Luke tells us this about Michael looking at where the brothers' pictures used to be, about he's always asking about them, he kept so much stuff of Lucifers. He loved the brothers and misses them.

So if go by that, the event the voice has to be referring to is during Lesson 8 when we helped Adam. We opened the gate. We weren't supposed to open the gate. No one should be able to do that, yet we did. We did the impossible. We did it to help Adam. It wasn't meant to be a threat, but the CR sure saw it like that.

After all, no one knows us. We are in the past before we could make the friends we already have. We only have Solomon. The brothers and others aren't the ones we know. While Barbatos (probably) knows, he can't say anything. He has to let us do our own thing.

Nightbringer = Barbatos

New/ Old voice = Michael

I'm sure they are the same people that were talking to Solomon (10-A).

So again, I don't think Nightbringer brought us there with malicious intent. I think they brought us there for a reason- that reason is for us to be happy. And how are we happy?

We are happy where we were, with our friends that we made from all 3 worlds. The only way to have that is to get the ball rolling to where the story we know of will begin. When we are summoned to a certain council room as the new human exchange student.

So I think this is the beginning of our story and to start that, we have to make the world stable enough for us to be brought down in the first place.

There are still holes in this theory and will change as the lessons are released I'm sure since Candy(Thirteen's sister) might play a part in this since she keeps getting mentioned. There are bits that refer to Nightbringer as a demon and not a demon, but honestly, I think that is just meant to confuse the reader. Plus I like the fact that when Nightbrigher talks, the background is dark like the devildom, but when the other voice talks, we get light like the CR and when we were in the curse, first we spoke to NB then the other voice before we woke up. The reflection of the two is amusing to me.

Not really! Blythe really isn't the daydreaming or meditative type, she often just prefers to apply herself physically to busy herself if she feels stressed out, very rarely is she lost in fantasy

10. What is their favourite memory from their childhood?

Blythe's childhood...is not something she remembers in great detail. It bordered on boring, uneventful, few events stood out as exceptional. She was someone extremely under-stimulated, someone that always BORED, wanting more. A lot of her life pre-campaign would be a blur she does not care for.

24. Do they prefer cold weather or warm weather?

Warm! As time goes on, she does show a preference for clothes that let her move, to cast and adventure, so she does not like cold and CETAINLY NOT a fan of Krezk. Most of all she prefers temperate weather like that of Vallaki.

Past. 100% past...to be more knowledgeable, to not walk into the trap of a deal with Theta, or negotiate something better. It wasn't even the deal itself that she harbors hate for, it is the way it was given to her --- through DECEIT. It was thrust upon her without knowledge of what she was agreeing to, of what she was sighing up for.

Blythe in of itself doesn't harbor hate for the Fae, or for BEING a Fae. It's the fact that Theta had not TOLD her what she will become...that she will be bound to her, as Hag and Hexblood. She wishes to be free of the chain, or not have the chain on her in the first place.

17. How good are they at choosing gifts for others?

PRETTY GOOD I WOULD SAY NJFDGF, I am going off my DMs word as our party tends to lean more towards NPC relationships than inter-party ones.

Despite being someone at their core...selfish, she is very perceptive in terms of others emotion and mental status. So far she has given only a couple of gifts;

When Ireena expressed an interest in attempting to cast magic, she was woefully without a conduit of doing so...being a martial ---- no focus on hand. So for their lesson, Blythe had given her her necklace, an amethyst that usually hangs around her neck. With the tools in hand, she spent several hours with her honing her very first touch of magic, Prestigitation. With practice, Ireena was able to light up the room, not just with her magic but her smile too.

When Blythe and Rahadin had a moment alone, after a lengthy discussion on...dusk elves and the Three Fanes, Rahadin offered to show Blythe an abandoned dusk elven shrine to the titular goddesses. It was a small outcrop of dilapidated ruins of a building with flowers, thought to be dead. They turned out to be Fae flowers, coming to life and glowing with the slightest touch of magic. Since it appeared to have a profound effect on him, as a token of good will, she taught him a simple cantrip so he could light the flowers himself.

40. Is there anyone or anything that immediately instills fear in them ?

Theta. (and Strahd a little.)

1. How easy is it to make them angry? Do they show their anger or hide it ?

It is quite hard to make Blythe TRULY angry, though specific buttons do get her riled up pretty easily (Such as implying she's 'simple' or questioning her intelligence). She does not show her anger, having been always someone that holds her emotions incredibly close to her heart.

8. Have they ever broken any bones? If yes, how?

Nope.

16. What is something about them that people would not expect just by looking at them?

That despite the air she gives off ... She's someone quite young and inexperienced. She is the product of women having to grow up too fast, of girls feeling like they need to be adults before they're ready. She puts on a confident front of an unruffled, unafraid and always in control woman; someone that is always several steps ahead...but inside she's still...a fairly lost young woman who needs a support system. Who dreams of love, of adventure and glamorous dresses.

19. How would a stranger they just met describe them?

I asked my DM for this! In their words, she is intense, confident, haunting in a way --- that when she walks in, the entire room has eyes on her. Perhaps haughty, but she has a charisma that pulls people towards her. A mysterious femme fatale if you will. A true witch.

3. Do they have any pet peeves?

Gross and unhygienic behaviour!!! She hates when people behave without "manners" such as chewing with their mouth open etc. She despises people in general behaving unbecoming or not without manners to the point some would consider her haughty.

15. What is their dream house like?

She does not have a dream house actually --- in fact...post Barovia, presuming she leaves in one piece, she would actually adventure! She doesn't WANT a house, she wants to constantly be on the road, to see new things, to explore new places, to find new knowledge.

It's meant to tie into the nature of whimsical, carefree Fae. It's the fact that they live everyday as though it is their last despite the eternity that awaits them. She is the same, she has endless time ahead of her, yet still feels as though there is not enough time.

31. Are they a messy eater or a neat eater?

EXTREMELY NEAT EATER. She doesn't a lot either way due to the fact that smoking does kill your appetite, but when she does she always does it very neatly, slowly, almost gracefully. She also tends to be a picky eater and only go For Bougie Shit.

2. Do they believe in soulmates?

She does! She actually is deeply romantic inside despite her very pragmatic and guarded exterior. She reads romance novels, dreams of fairy tale romance, fantasizes about being swept off her feet. She's a tender maiden at heart!

5. At what stage of their life were they the happiest?

Probably right now IRONICALLY LOL.

9. Do they have any memories/experiences they'd rather forget?

Theta. Just Theta in general.

21. Do they have any physical insecurities?

HER EARS. She thinks her hexblood forked ears are unsightly and hides them with illusion magic to appear elven. She feels extremely self conscious over how they stand out and immediately other her from everyone else...even if mostly everyone thinks they're cute.

27. Have they ever witnessed someone die?

Izek Stranzi was actually the first person she has ever seen die in front of her, he was a couple feet away when he got SHANKED causing her to get drenched in blood. That being said...He was a stranger. She wasn't particularly heart broken about it, nor was she overly traumatized. If anything that's probably a much bigger red flag --- that she didn't really CARE. She didn't feel guilt, she didn't feel sadness, she didn't feel anything besides the fact that she completed a job.

Similar thing with the Burgomaster of Vallaki, Vargas. Having been a prime participant in his assassination by letting the killer in, disposing of the body and evidence...the party, particularly Ireena were confronted by how cold and calculated she was through out the whole ordeal. Hauntingly, it reminded Ireena of Rahadin's ruthlessness.

36. If they could ask anyone one question and get the absolute truth, who and what would they ask?

This is tough--- but I think...how they see her. Or who they see. She is someone that struggles with her place in society, driven by the need to be mysterious, unique and useful. She feels as though she is the sum of her skills rather than a person, so at the end of the day... She would want reassurance that isn't the case.

Or confirmation of how cruel this world is.

11. Do they have a "type" they're usually attached to?

Not physically! Someone she can endlessly try to figure out -- a puzzle to keep her attention. She above all needs someone COMPLICATED, impossible to solve; someone she can endlessly try to figure out and not come close to a solution. A book with no ending, a song with no epithet, a painting forever in progress. In some ways, she dreams of an endless chase.

In terms of the opposite of her type, she hates stupid people.
