Gorou wasn't someone who liked to admit work got to him. You only figured it out because his resolve would break sometimes. You learned that the less you physically spoke about it, the less Gorou would deny it. For example, if you saw he needed to sit down for a bit, you didn't just outright say he was tired and he needed to sit. You would tell him that you wanted to show him something and ask him to sit beside you. Then you'd just show him what you needed to show him and took the conversation elsewhere.

Tonight was no different. Usually, if Gorou was ok, he would come home and close the door with enough force for it to be heard. He would happily come in and give you a hug and kiss, then quickly go for a shower before sitting down to eat with you.

But when he came home, Gorou slowly shut the door- you barely heard it. He moved at a snail's pace, taking off his shoes and placing his bow down on the holder. He didn't speak, he just quietly walked into the house, found you on the couch, and just ruffled your hair a little.

Before he could go too far, you grabbed his hand and smiled up at him.

"Hey, I wanted to show you something. Sit." Gorou only quietly nodded and walked around the couch to sit beside you, but you quickly pulled him down onto your lap. He didn't even fight for a second. The second his head touched your lap, he was practically asleep. You smiled and stroked his head, before returning to what you were previously doing.

Ayato was always busy and rarely had time to sit down and relax. He would be up early in the mornings and usually went to bed late. Any time he had between his work, he would try to catch up on paperwork. So, his job never ended. There were no breaks, there were no days off, there was no resting. Just work, work, work. Even if he wanted to take a break, some issue took priority and he would be off. Ayaka and Thoma worried a lot, but they, themselves, never had time. Forcing Ayato to take a break would turn them into hypocrites.

Then there was you. You took care of things that Ayato couldn't- including the Yashiro Commissioner himself. You made sure he drank water, ate meals with small snacks in between, kept a healthy pace and whatnot. Of course, there were days where none of that was possible and you hated them. There was actually a period of a week where Ayato barely slept and ate and unfortunately collapsed. Ayaka quickly took over and there was no forcing Ayato to take a break, he physically couldn't move to work.

Since then, you became strict. You absolutely refused to let Ayato overwork, no matter what. Even in emergencies, you employed either the help of Lumine or Ayaka- but not Ayato. This wasn't to say you overworked the former two, you made sure they took breaks too.

"Ayato. Enough work." You said as you walked toward him. He frowned and looked at you.

"Five more minutes, I'm almost finished-"

"No." Ayato just sighed in defeat and nodded, before standing up and taking your outstretched hand. You walked him to your shared room and sat down, Ayato following suit. You patted your lap and he nodded, laying down resting his head- finally. He immediately felt this intense rush of relief. He was exhausted and he didn't even realize it. Your hand stroked his sky blue hair; your eyes watching as his closed. It only took a few minutes, but he fell right asleep.

✧ Thoma ✧

Thoma's work kept him very busy and all the time. You weren't even sure that he'd be able to handle your relationship due to all the work he had to do. But, Thoma was resilient and proved that he was a great boyfriend- even if he was busy. But that meant only one thing: he wasn't taking care of himself. Honestly, the only time Thoma had time to sit and eat a meal (without rushing) was when he was having a meal with you.

You actually didn't pick up on his bad habits until he got extremely sick. He was so sick, that he was bedridden for two weeks and could barely keep a conversation. Ayaka, Ayato, Lumine, Paimon, you, and a bunch of Thoma's coworkers and friends were so worried. He slept for a full two days before he was finally up and able to eat- which you and your other friends did most of the feeding. That's the day everyone realized Thoma did a horrible job at taking care of himself.

So, you came up with a plan, specifically involving everyone. Thoma was relentless and felt as if he could do it- he was fine. So, everyone agreed... but they helped along. For example, Ayaka would have Thoma sit and drink tea with her once a day for at least an hour. You demanded to have dinner with him every single night, Lumine and Paimon often brought him meals, Ayato made him play chess with him almost every single day, and so on. Of course, this all meant Thoma's work ethic suffered, but everyone contributed there too. If Ayato needed something, he just did it himself. Lumine and Paimon often pitched in to help him with work, especially you, and whatnot. Together, all of you took care of Thoma, just as he took care of all of you.

Tonight, Thoma was home early. You two had shared your nightly meal and were now relaxing in bed. Thoma's head was on your lap while you stroked his hair. You two made light conversation, but you noticed Thoma's eyes were drooping and his replies were getting quieter. Finally, the man fell asleep and you chuckled.

"You work too hard, my love." You whispered, rubbing his cheek a little. "It's what I love about you. I just wished you worked that hard for yourself too, sometimes."

Ayato had been gifted some gummy candies today. They were from Thoma and Ayaka. Since he was on his lunch break at the moment, he decided to share them with his beloved boyfriend Itto. He knew the oni would be near his estate by now, since he usually comes around at lunchtime to see where Ayato was. So, without further ado, he invited the oni inside to hang out.

“Don’t you have plans today?” Itto asked curiously, smiling lovingly.

“Oh, I do have one thing in mind at the moment. Please, wait here. I’ll be right back.” Ayato replied, as he was about to prepare a little gift for him. “Don’t run off now, dear~” he teased, making Itto laugh.

“Hahaha! Wouldn’t dream of it! I’ll be on my best behavior!” he replied with a playful smile, wandering around the room to keep himself occupied.

Ayato then left the room and went elsewhere to prepare his gift. He wanted to separate one of the candy flavors from the rest, so Itto would get the one he loved the most. He knew what his favorite flavor of these was after all.

Once he was done, he put all the red ones in a tiny little bag and tied it with a small ribbon. It looked adorable, and he felt proud of his work. Now, he was ready to go back.

“Itto, my darling~?” he said as he returned to his lover.

Itto rolled his eyes playfully and chuckled at his adoring title.

“Yes, dear?” He replied, with a slight blush. He always felt his heart flutter whenever Ayato called him “darling” like that.

“I have something for you. Please, give me your hand.” Ayato said, holding his hand out to Itto.

“Alright. What is it?” Itto asked with a curious smile as Ayato took his hand, letting his palm face up.

“Here you go. Would you like a treat?” Ayato asked, as he revealed the little bag in his other hand and gently placed it into Itto’s.

He gasped. “Whoa! A treat? For me?!” He asked with excitement, happily accepting the little gift bag and quickly opening it.

“Indeed. And they’re all for you, my love~” Ayato said with a loving smile, booping Itto’s nose for the funny.

“Hehehe, aw~ you shouldn’t have…” Itto said as he looked inside the little gift bag.

“Hehe~ oh, I wanted to.” Ayato replied, giving him a gentle pat on the head, waiting for his reaction.

“Aw yeah! It’s candy! Thanks, man!” he said with a big, silly grin. He loved receiving gifts and it clearly showed!

“Haha, indeed. I’d been given some gummies earlier and sorted these ones out just for you.” Ayato said with a loving smile.

“Aw, thank you so much! I love raspberries!” Itto said, as the little red candies were somewhat shaped like their flavor. How cute!

“Oh, I’m sure you do, my love. But do you like the fruit as well?” Ayato asked with a smug look on his face.

Itto looked confused. “Huh…? I thought they were berries..?” he said with a questioning tone as he ate one of the candies, enjoying the taste.

“… Well, you like the berries too then, right?” He asked, again with a smug look. He was surprised that Itto didn’t understand what he meant.

“I mean, yeah. It’s such a nice flavor! And the texture slaps too, for real! I could eat them every single day and never get tired of ‘em!” Itto said with a smile, no clue of his lover’s intentions.

“Oh, Itto… my sweet darling boy.” Ayato was baffled at this point, but tried not to let it show.

“Hehe~ oh, stop it.” Itto replied, feeling his heart flutter with joy from the adoring pet name.

“Itto, my love… my dearest, I’m trying to tease you here.” Ayato said with a sheepish smile, feeling a bit silly at how his tease had failed.

“What? Is it ‘cus I didn’t know berries were fruit?” Itto asked, looking confused. He still enjoyed his candy while they talked though.

“No… sweetheart, let me help you understand, ok?” Ayato said with a gentle tone and a stroke to Itto’s cheek, wanting to make sure his tease wouldn’t miss the mark this time.

“Do you know what the word raspberry usually describes?” Ayato asked calmly.

“Yeah?? The fruit or berry or whatever?” Itto replied with a confused smile.

“Yes, indeed. But do you know what else the word describes?” Ayato looked at him with a smug expression, hoping Itto would understand.

He didn’t, so Ayato gave him a hint. “It’s a verb.” he said, being patient as always.

Itto thought for a moment before he realized, laughing at himself for not understanding. “Oh, hahahaha! Right… that.” he said, feeling silly. How’d he not realize it before?

“Yes. I’m going to try again now, okay?” Ayato said, chuckling softly.

“Haha, alright…” Itto replied, chewing on some of the candy.

“So, what did you say earlier? … About the flavor, I mean.” Surely he’d fall for it this time, right?

“I said I love-… Wh-?! Hey! That is NOT what I meant!” Itto exclaimed, an embarrassed blush spreading across his face.

“Hahaha, but that’s what you said, right? I’d be happy to share some with you.” Ayato said with a teasing smirk, stepping closer to the oni.

“D-Don’t you dare! I’m eating!” Itto protested, stepping back with a nervous smile on his face.

“Oh, I’m sure one little raspberry wouldn’t hurt. After all, you love them, right~?” Ayato teased, opening his arms for a hug.

Itto grumbled and put the little bag on a nearby surface.

“… ugh, you’re lucky I can’t say no to hugs.” he muttered, smiling a little bit before accepting Ayato’s embrace and hugging him tight.

“Good boy…” Ayato teased, chuckling as Itto’s face turned red. He even pat his head for extra effect.

“Sh-Shut your mouth…” Itto replied, burying his face into Ayato’s shoulder.

“Hehe, my, what a temper you have, my dear… I bet I can change that~” Ayato said, softly kissing his cheek a few times.

“Awh, Ayato..!” Itto chuckled and playfully moved his head away. But of course, his beloved human started blowing raspberries into his neck in response, holding him in place with the hug.

“Eeeehehehehe!! Hehehey! Stohohohop!” Itto protested, high pitched giggles pouring out of him.

“Mm… no can do~. Hold still, please…” Ayato replied, planting ticklish kisses on his jaw and blowing more raspberries on his neck.

“Ehehehehehehee!! Stahahahap!! It tickles!” Itto laughed, trying to push Ayato away to no avail.

“Darling~ Let me love you~” Ayato teased, tracing his side.

But, Ayato’s plan backfired and Itto started tickling his waist, using his own techniques against him as he holds him tight while tickling.

“Ack- Ahahahaha!! N-Not there! Hahahaha!” Ayato started laughing and squirming pretty much immediately, letting out a squeal as Itto scribbled on his lower back.

“What, you thought I’d let you get away with that??” Itto questioned playfully.

Itto paused. “Hmm… I think I’m gonna keep going for a few more seconds~” he teased, laughing along as he mercilessly scribbled all over Ayato’s back.

OHH i have not thought of them beyond mondstadt but it's certainly possible; sometimes one needs to travel for new fabrics and notions themselves, because buying from merchants is becoming too cost prohibitive or they just aren't bringing the kind of things you want - sometimes it's nice to see fashion in other nations, to talk about fontaine's new silhouettes or the beautiful silk of liyue or the fascinating dye methods of inazuma, to be able to outfit your mondstadt customers for their adventures outside of the city of freedom too--

I can't relate to people saying they burned out on sumeru update because alhaitham and kaveh basically brought me back to genshin 💀💀 otherwise i wouldn't be playing until today LOL

I keep seeing comments on yt about coming back because of fontaine and thinking inazuma was the best ever but when i tell you i burned out so fast after enkanomiya because enka was basically the only thing that kept me interested after kokomi's first banner (yes im a day 1 kokomi haver, basically downloaded genshin and started playing for KOKOMI LOL) and the pandemic happened and it was ayaka/or yoimiya/or someone i forgot who banner forever and ever and i hated exploration in inazuma compared to liyue.

I was super into dragon lore (if me back then were alive today she would be so happy), i was into teapotting (same as stated in prior brackets), i was into a lot of stuff in genshin then i kind of gave up because eventually nothing else was interesting other than the gacha pulling. (Like i was super into Ayato and Thoma for A While) and those were mostly bc my one irl persevered when I couldn't.

My one irl who was super into genshin during that time (and has now given it up in exchange for hsr) brought me back thru interest in alhaitham and then eventually my own obsession over kaveh and how relatable he is esp with my irl job/career. And honestly he's still kind of the reason i'm playing HAHAHA Navia is a pretty good reason too. My two blonde blorbos. I'm saving for her weapon and then after that..... idk. I think i might take a break for natlan honestly.

I think its not great of me to say the only thing i was looking forward to when the fontaine update came out was the swimming and faranak npc (which never ended up happening so whatever) but yeah, i'm glad i could enjoy furina (she wasn't annoying to me at all 😭 the early phase where everyone hated her was so crazyyy) and subsequently navia because !!! The reason i liked genshin was the aesthetics (kokomi was pretty ok ok ok ok ok)))))

7. who is your least favorite character?

i don't hate anyone ! i mean this with my whole heart. even with like dori she's just kind of a (rolls eyes) character for me. i also kinda grew to tolerate eula at some point even though she's still a (rolls eyes) too. i used to mildly dislike miko but she's ok now, and baizhu who is more of a bwehh type for personal reasons. but again i think everyone is fine and very lovely i love teyvat >w<

20. who is the most useful character in your opinion?

there's zhongli, still the best shielder since 1.1, great for everything, can fit into most teams, if you have him you won't have to worry about taking damage especially if you're bad at dodging. if not zhongli then you should at least pick another shielder to build, like diona is great especially with cryo dpses. some of the higher investment 4*s like bennett, xingqiu, xiangling, fischl - everyone else has their own kind of niche but you can never go wrong with raising these four, at least bennett if no one else. he's a double healer and buffer which will do you well especially in endgame content. xingqiu as an off-field hydro applicator who deals a lot of damage when built well (yelan is better in this role but i believe c6 xingqiu can definitely compare to her). xiangling is actually a beast as one of the standing burst pyro dpses who works in the national comp with bennett and xingqiu. and then fischl as a well-rounded off field electro dps and battery to pair with your hydro or dendro dpses ! speaking of dendro nahida is just really great, and i believe shinobu has also become a top pick as electro support in dendro teams since she heals, but probably otherwise fischl is better since fischl can deal significant damage. funnily enough with the introduction of dendro, it seems like most people have been using raiden shogun less as a hypercarry and more as an electro enabler in dendro teams, but i remember raiden national being a really good comp too. there's also the category of anemo ccs like sucrose, kazuha, venti - i don't think venti is very good nowadays but kazuha is definitely up there being one of the best and sucrose is basically budget kazuha. for main dpses it's extremely volatile, like in my time the top 3 were ayaka, hu tao, and ganyu, but i think ganyu has fallen off. hu tao and ayaka are still great though in pyro and cryo respectively, and according to my qpp neuvillette is the number 1 dps right now especially with fontaine rolling out a new hydro meta. navia is also very good in terms of pure damage but she's like way different from her geo friends. and thenn i believe for dendro the top pick is alhaitham. i'm not saying that out of bias at all i'm pretty sure he is HSJDHS. electro and anemo are a bit obsolete at this moment in terms of dps since electro is mostly used to pair for dendro and anemo just can't beat the support element allegations. xiao fell off a long time ago and apparently wanderer wasn't very good either. but i do think these two have a fun playstyle and as long as you have fun yknow!

my favorite is polearm followed by sword! i looove spamming fast attacks. my favorites have always been those like zhongli, rosaria, xiao, thoma, cyno, and then sword of course being aya - i also enjoy bow but i kind of have skill issue with them... i think because i play tighnari a lot on my qpp's account and he does have a fun playstyle to me !

i believe traveler has helped them not for the sole reason ayaka guilt tripped them, but also To See The Shogun. they wanted 2 resist more but they Probably Knew that the only way 2 see baal is to talk to someone who has personal connections with her— in that case, ayaka.

it’s honestly quite pitiful to see the traveler becoming an errand person all over again considering that they don’t— and shouldn’t become one after recent events. but honestly, people are assholes, and try to use the traveler with a renowned reputation to Their advantage. hopefully after the upcoming archon quest is where they try and better themselves— try and realize that they’re not just a fucking tool.

Gene & Warnings: angst(?), fluff, themes of abandonment, also I most likely misscharacterized some characters here and there!

After some more weeks they still haven't lost hope, they still waited in the same spot that they were left at. The creators mains started to panic wandering if they weren't enough for them, blaming themselves for what happened.

After a few days passed and still nothing, why isn't the creator coming back? Every single character was thinking why would they abandon them? We're they doing to low dmg? Weren't they good enough? Are they ok behind the screen? They couldn't think of any other reason why the creator was gone, at the 30th day of the creator not logging in the characters assumed that they were just burned out and were just busy, they'll come back eventually.

But atlas they logged in! But it wasn't the creator that logged in, but it was you, they have heard of you when the creator would talk to you or text you, your characters would visit their world and defeat bosses together once in a while, but where's the creator? Why are you here instead of the creator? Where is the creator in the first place? Has the creator abandoned them? Everything was so confusing but they still were obeying your commands (well not everyone) doing the daily commissions quests etc. Some of them rebelled against your wishes, like for example:

Whenever you'd pres W to walk they would disobey and use their still or their burst out of spite just to annoy you,

or when you'd cook they would never give you a bonus or their specialty,

or whenever you'd enchant a artifact they would purposely try to get the artifact to land on flat defense or hp and never the substat you want.

But this rebellion wouldn't last for that long, because eventually they would notice the amount of effort you are putting on them, from the way you pamper them with new artifacts, new weapons or even giving them some precious constellations, some of them even got a place specifically made for them in the teapot.

But not every main reacted the same way to this major change

Im partial to the headcanon that theres a trade language in Teyvat, but each country has their own native language, w/sub-dialects too (i think thats the word?)

oh . . . this is such an interesting concept, because of course ayato knows what it's like to be a big brother. of course if it were thoma and ayaka, he would not stand for it - but thoma has a far thornier issue to get through.

because he owes ayato, but does he owe ayato that much? perhaps he'd be more inclined to allow it, if ayato is very clear about his intentions even to those outside of the estate (a better match for his little sister in inazuma could hardly be expected, and though ayato is intense and perhaps a little too interested, at least the relationship would be public and thoma could keep an eye on them--)

☁︎︎ hums a tune to soothe you.

☁︎︎ he was writing his poems that night on the ship while you slept soundly beside him

☁︎︎ there was a little celebration on the boat that evening to wish one of the Crux’s members a happy birthday

☁︎︎ you and kazuha had headed back to your room after helping out with the cleanup of the ship and it was already about 1 am when you guys officially finished.

☁︎︎ soon after changing out into a set of cleaner clothes; you sunk into the mattress, letting the sound of the waves and rocking of the boat lull your exhausted body to sleep.

☁︎︎ kazuha sat cross-legged beside your sleeping form. He took his book out as well as a pencil, penning down his thoughts as he tried to string them into a poem.

☁︎︎ he instantly realised you were having a nightmare when your eyebrows because knitted and a slight grunt escaped your lips; the peace on your face having been disrupted.

☁︎︎ he shifted himself, moving even nearer to you so that he could stroke your hair, brushing a thumb soothingly across your forehead as he started to hum a tune.

☁︎︎ it instantly soothed your mind, even though you weren't conscious kazuha could still tell, the way your facial features started to relax when he started to hum and the way you curled up and snuggled into his side were all good signs that your nightmares were finally starting to dissipate.

☁︎︎ after he made sure that you were in a better state, he snuggled up behind you, cradling your body as he too, allowed himself to fall asleep to the sound of the ocean.

thoma (托馬)

☁︎︎ he warms a glass of milk for you.

☁︎︎ it had been an absolutely amazing day with the Iradori festival taking place, getting to spend time together with ayaka and ayato and eating all the delicious festive goodies while watching the fireworks.

☁︎︎ you and thoma pretty much fell asleep immediately after reaching the Kamisato estate, plopping down onto the futons in your share room after finishing up your respective tasks and a quick hot shower.

☁︎︎ he tucked you into his chest, an arm around your shoulders and his chin resting atop your head.

☁︎︎ it was maybe 2 am? 3 am? When he realised you were having a bad dream. This had never happened before but it was unlike you to thrash in your sleep.

☁︎︎ he tapped you awake. It took less than a minute before you woke up, startled.

☁︎︎ “are you ok love?” he is concerned, to say the least, having never seen you have a nightmare scared his poor soul out of his body. “I am, sorry for waking you up,” you said, slightly embarrassed that you had woken thoma up from the much-needed sleep.

☁︎︎ “it’s alright, really. I think some warm milk would help. wanna go with me to the kitchen to grab some?” he asked.

☁︎︎ the idea seemed nice, so you nod your head before you got pulled to the kitchen, trailing right behind him.

☁︎︎ he quickly got to work. heating a pot up with enough milk for two first, moving on to grab two mugs, adding some honey into them before he waited for the steam to appear on top of the pot.

☁︎︎ “back in mondstadt, whenever I had nightmares as a kid, my mother would make this for me and tell me a bedtime story. worked like a charm because the thing I knew, daylight had broken and a new day had begun.” he chuckled, the milk starting to steam just as he finished his story.

☁︎︎ and he was quite right. After leading you back to the room, thoma handed you the warm cup of sweetened milk and you fell asleep like, five minutes after finishing the drink.

☁︎︎ “good night, y/n. don’t let the bed bugs bite.”

kamisato ayato (神里绫人)

☁︎︎ massages your head until you fall back asleep

☁︎︎ ayato is a busy man. As the Yashiro commissioner and head of the kamisato clan, he never has much time outside of sitting at his desk and filling in paperwork.

☁︎︎ he usually's up by the crack of dawn and off with Thoma to run the day’s errands before you're awake but sleeps at around 1 am because there's too much work to finish:( (poor him)

☁︎︎ he's well aware of the bad dreams you have, having seen little you wake up in the midnight of night, hair a mess as you tried to compose yourself before he saw your state so as to not worry him (this usually doesn't happen because he hears the thumping of the blanket against the floor and makes a run towards your share bedroom)

☁︎︎ he turns his attention away from his papers, hearing the familiar sound of his study room door sliding open only to see you clad in an old t-shirt of his; one that dropped below your knees

☁︎︎ “what’s wrong sweetheart? A bad dream?” he asks concern evident in his voice as he sees you nod. Turning his chair away from the desk, he stretches his arms out, inviting you to stay with him while he did his work.

☁︎︎ you shuffle towards him, climbing onto his lap and putting your arms around him, before nuzzling your face into the crook of his neck, letting yourself melt into him.

☁︎︎ “how’s the work ‘yato” you asked groggily tilting your head to the side so your voice wasn't muffled. He chuckles, even though you were exhausted from the day's work and the bad dream you had you still found it in you to start a conversation with him.

☁︎︎ “it was alright. went around Ritou with thoma to settle some matters but that's about it dear.” he touches your head, letting his fingers massage your scalp, feeling you sink deeper and deeper into his hold, until he feels you slump completely, a sign that you've fallen asleep.

☁︎︎ “sweet dreams my love.” he whispers, tilting his head to give you a kiss before turning his attention back to his paperwork.
