You wanted to name him Suga at first cause he seemed very gentle and sweet but once he got used to your house a few days later he was chaotic af

With long, brown colored fur and brown eyes, Asahi gets a lot of attention by your visitors because of his large size and beautiful fur.

He is very long and wide so whenever he sleeps infront of a door, you have to step over him instead of going around him cause there is no going around since he is that large.

Has the largest food bowl cause a the one the others use is too small for his face and so when he does try to eat in it, his face gets stuck.

Even tho he is large, he is a scaredy cat

Whenever he sees another cat, even if its a small, puny kitten, you can bet he'll run faster than the flash.

Koushi and Yuu always comes up to him to playfight, but he would run away because he's scared even though his paw is larger than the two's head smh

He is the total opposite of Asahi

He is the wild child along with Koushi

When the neighbors blast their speakers off with hype music, you can see Yuu peeking outside the window his head bobbing to the beat.

Tries to playfight with Asahi but the cat would just run away.

Since he is smaller than the other cats, Yuu would hop ontop of their backs and ride them like a fooking horse.

The victim of this is Asahi and Ryunosuke.

Is besties with baby Shoyo and he would teach him how to always win a playfight

Even though he always lose against Koushi and Ryu-

Immediately the three ran to where they heard it and saw two big cats ganging up on the poor kitten.

Cue Ryu's loud hissing and meowing.

The three succeeded and saved the day!

And so when you did get home, you have to assist him with almost everything

Since he was so used to always being in your arms, he would always ask for you to carry him

Ranking Miraculous Season 4 episodes

So here’s the full list I wrote for my rankings for ML season 4! I thought it was pretty amazing overall, though I think this is a season that works best if you binge it, with how much everything weaves together and how long we had to wait in-between episodes, with tension building up in the fandom as well as between Ladybug and Chat Noir. I generally favored episodes that made an impact on me, that caused me to think and feel things, over episodes that had fewer elements that bothered me, but were less impactful or even boring.

26. Simpleman: It’s boring and largely relies on “characters acting stupid” for its humor, which I’ve never been fond of. Aside from one funny moment with Adrien having to decide between saving people and smiling, I didn’t get much of anything out of it. I think that young children will probably like it, but as an adult, this is one I’m likely to skip on rewatch.

25. Penalteam: This one’s tough. See, I like a lot of the moments here, from getting to see Marc and Nathaniel again (plus getting some new characterization for Marc!) to the funniness of Adrien being bad at soccer and giving some hilarious facial expressions. But the episode itself was a bit of a mess, the soccer angle was forced and uninteresting, and the four new heroes were really, REALLY obviously shoved in there with only the barest development to justify it. I got bored during the soccer parts.

24. Queen Banana: This episode was fine, but nothing special. It didn’t really grab me, except maybe Adrien telling Chloe off for being a pain about the movie, and the movie they made providing some possible foreshadowing for later on.

23. Mega Leech: I liked the discussion about the environment and how we got some insight into what Mylene and Ivan have been up to, how they’ve been campaigning about the Oxygen Project, but the rest of the class just kind of didn’t notice until now. Ladybug telling Mylene that courage isn’t the absence of fear, but persevering and overcoming it, was really sweet. Also foreshadowed the “Adrien is a Sentimonster” reveal and established more of Gabriel’s general dickery. I found it a little dull though.

22. Ephemeral: This one’s hard to place on a ranking list. It was very memorable for me, very impactful, and I loved the window it gave into Marinette’s character especially. But it contained some of the most infuriating things in season 4, with Marinette’s awful plan to circumvent needing Chat’s consent in order to obtain his identity, instead lying and manipulating him, and Luka’s knowledge of Ladybug’s and Chat’s identities being irrelevant, since his actions would’ve been about the same whether he’d known or not. And Su Han. Su Han was awful and inconsistent, practically chewing the scenery with how enraged he is about Chat not showing up and demanding Marinette get his identity at the beginning, and then folding like a deck of cards at the end, agreeing that he was stupid and telling Marinette how wonderful she is, with very little reason for the sudden attitude shift. Good to actually get Marinette’s reaction to the Reveal though, and Adrien doing zoomies was adorable XD

21. Sole Crusher: Zoe’s introduction seemed forced, but I liked how the episode talked about acting and putting up a front because it’s what’s expected of you, as well as getting some character development for Andre, weirdly enough. Now if only Zoe could talk about acting and pretending with Adrien...

20. Furious Fu: Ah, Su Han again. This dude’s a pain, and WOW is he a dick. Felt bad for Fu, I mean, this dude bullied him when he was a child. Anyway, I loved Chat during the fight scenes, and how determined he was not to just follow the orders of any random yahoo just because they were an authority figure. It has to be someone he’s grown to respect, like Ladybug\.

19: Dearest Family: This episode was a victim of its own hype. We’d gotten clips of Chat destroying the galette months in advance, and as the episode before the 100th, it seemed like it was gonna be hugely impactful... and it wasn’t. It was still nice though, I liked how Tikki got fleshed-out since she’s always been fairly flat, and Marinette shows her compassionate and understanding side, which I adore. Hungrybug was interesting to watch, and the Ladynoir team-up was just plain sweet. Pity there wasn’t more focus on Chat destroyed the giant galette though.

18. Optigami: I liked how clever Gabriel and Nathalie were here, as well as Alya’s general awesomeness. Also love that Kagami managed to accomplish something with her “attack akuma first, run for cover later” strategy. The “I’m considering telling you my secret identity because there’s something watching us” scene didn’t make much sense though, and it wasn’t as fun for me nor did it leave as much of an impact as some of the other episodes I’m ranking higher.

17. Mr Pigeon 72: Loved Alya helping Marinette after finding out she’s Ladybug, as well as Rena’s awesomeness with being the MVP, and the umbrella scene was adorable! I found the “Marinette projects her feelings so hard onto Kagami that she physically tries to force her and Adrien together” thing kinda cringy though.

16. Crocoduel: Had a lot of fun with this one. Loved seeing Alya and the rest of the class being a friend to Luka, trying to help him as best they could. Juleka was just caught in the middle of everything, but eventually she managed to get her voice heard. The message is good too, on the importance of communication and talking with each other. Also had one of Marinette’s better moments this season, with her apologizing for trying to get Juleka to do something she should never have asked in the first place, and then her getting Juleka’s fears about not being wanted by her dad addressed.

15. Hack-san: Fun episode, and a good opportunity for Alya to show off! Especially great since back in Origins, Marinette tried to give Alya the Ladybug Miraculous. Now we see what that would’ve looked like! Love how we also got to see Alya excel as Scarabella, and how she uses her wits differently from Ladybug. Ladybug relies on manipulating objects, while Scarabella relies more on manipulating people.

14. Guiltrip: I thought this was the best “new hero” episode. We got some sorely needed characterization for Rose, more adorable Julerose, a bit of discussion about chronic illnesses, and the miracuclass being super supportive... maybe a bit too supportive, but their hearts were in the right place. As well as the power of positivity, and some great Ladynoir! Solid episode all around.

13. Qilin: Loved this episode, and its message, its something you don’t often see in kids cartoons - and considering that the episode was gutted in French because of its depictions of cops, this is about as far as it could go. I love that it showed a side to policing and authority figures that’s often ignored, with how sometimes they’re the ones escalating the conflict, while the civilian is the reasonable one, and how racism and bigotry can influence policing. How strict enforcement of the law, and overzealous application of it - especially when it comes to “resisting arrest”, can lead to wildly unfair situations. You don’t normally see this addressed unless the show’s aimed at teens or older, and rarely even then. The ending with Marinette offering to pay the fine, taking responsibility while Roget and the ticket master got off scot-free, undermined the message somewhat, but considering that they couldn’t even get away with what they DID show, I’m glad they had the guts to cover this topic in the first place. I hope it’s an episode kids remember into the future, at least the ones who got the uncensored version. I’m looking forward to showing it to my mom, she knows a lot about the BS cops can pull.

12. Rocketear: Nino’s detective shtick was a lot of fun, and a LOT happened this episode. Loved Adrien finding out more secret identity stuff, and Alya getting to help. And just seeing Adrien go and seek Rocketear out, even knowing he was being targeted, because he wanted to help his friend... it really helps to show why Adrien’s such a great character. He wasn’t willing to fight his friend. I do wish him knowing Carapace’s and Rena’s identities specifically was more relevant to the season though. Oooh, and I loved Alya telling Nino that she’s still active, she loves and values Marinette, but she’ got other important relationships as well, and has agency.

11. Psycomedian: This episode was filler, but it was fun. It gave us Harriel, Feralbug, and Chat being the MVP! The beginning was kind of tiresome - I’ve seen Marinette messing up talking to Adrien plenty, thanks - but the akuma fight was one of the best of the season.

10. Kuro Neko: Loved the focus we got on Adrien this episode, how we got to see his depressive episode, got more insight into how he thought - and loved even more how Plagg helped him out of it, how much he wants Adrien as his holder, and how well he understands the kid. Great design for Catwalker too. The episode is held back with how little Ladybug actually learns and understands about Chat’s issues though, so they never have a chance to truly be addressed.

9. Wishmaker: Really fun episode, with some nice development for Adrien, Luka, and surprisingly enough, Alec. Loved seeing Adrien struggle with figuring out what he wants to do, and finding out that his “childhood wish” was being whatever his parents wanted him to be - it’s very telling. Crocojagged was great too. Unfortunately, the episode’s held back by the big twist, the most important consequence, not actually mattering much at all. Still don’t fully understand why Luka lied to Ladybug about not finding out hers and Chat’s identities when she specifically asked about it, and I’m not sure why, narratively, he needed to know. Ephemeral’s the only episode where him knowing might’ve conceivably mattered, and if he HADN’T known the episode would’ve gone the same way, so what was the point?

8. Glaciator 2: Best Marichat episode we’ve ever had! The first two minutes are painful, and I’m still a little bugged by the trash can, but they set up what came later. Adrien’s fine with annoying Ladybug, but he does NOT want to actually hurt her. He does have trouble dealing with the strength of his feelings, but he’s TRYING. The confession scene was pretty funny, especially when thinking about Marinette practicing her confession to Adrien on Adrien. And the movie theater scene showed that Marinette DOES understand why she self-sabotages her confession so often, she just can’t stop herself from still doing it, even understanding her reasons. Glad that she realized she needs to talk from the heart, instead of just rehearsing things. The lesson Chat learns as well, as far as figuring out boundaries, is a good one as well. She tells him to stop, he needs to stop, but otherwise it’s probably okay. He doesn’t give up on winning her over, but he DOES decide to just try being himself more, instead of leaning as far into the Chat Noir role. I do wish that Marinette had a better understanding of Adrien and Chat Noir though, it didn’t really seem to get through to her that Adrien being sad was bad, not just an opportunity (though I am glad that she wanted to cheer him up), and it didn’t seem to occur to her that Chat might not be in great shape after she went off on him earlier.

7. Lies: Yay Adrien and Kagami! Nice that we got to see a patrol. His loneliness and boredom at Ladybug’s absence is nice set up for his feelings of isolation and being pushed out that form part of the Ladynoir Conflict. In addition, we get set up for Adrien’s identity crisis, of not knowing who HE is, who HE wants to be, not just doing what he’s been told to do. Kagami’s also great, setting it up so they can sneak off together, despite their strict parents. Feel bad for her at the end. She STILL doesn’t know why Adrien was lying and ditching her, even at the end of the season. 

6. Sentibubbler: Alya Is Awesome: The Episode. She played Shadowmoth like a goddamn fiddle. Makes me want her to get a chance to go up against Felix, when he doesn’t have plot armor at least. Could be fun. She really showed her stuff, and why she’s an excellent hero and Miraculous wielder! The way she kept her cool while everyone was being threatened, made a plan on her own, and managed to sneak her way past Sentibubbler while being held hostage, AND came up with a way to turn the situation to her advantage to stop him from going after again... DAMN.

5. Truth: Great season opener! Luka got some great development that didn’t revolve around Marinette, we got to see how difficult it is for her to maintain her relationships when she’s lying all the time, and there’s great banter between Ladybug and Chat Noir! Chat saying that as long as her being Guardian doesn’t change things between the two of them, he doesn’t mind at all, hurts though. It DID change things between them a lot, and Truth foreshadowed that. 

4. Gabriel Agreste: Excellent episode, with Felix stealing the show. That secret rich person masquerade party sends my conspiracy senses tingling. Felix and Gabriel’s rivalry is one of the most interesting character conflicts in the show, and it’s fun to watch Felix be A Little Shit, particularly at Gabriel’s expense. The drawings of Princess!Adrien, Witch!Gabriel, and Knight!Marinette were excellent and have been great fanart fuel. The “Marinette infiltrates the party in order to stop Chloe sideplot” was okay on its own, but took up valuable screentime. I’d rather have cut the sideplot and saved that screentime for a proper Adrien-Kagami reconciliation.

3. Risk: This episode left me hyped up for days! We get to dig into Adrien’s perspective more than we ever have before, get to see him be upset, get to see him realize that he doesn’t want to do this, doesn’t want to dance on his father’s strings, and try to fight back. He doesn’t quite succeed, but it did imply that he’s not going to just be following orders, be doing what people tell him to do, anymore. That he’ll think about what he wants as well. Also the dungeon hand-holding scene was adorable.

2. Gang of Secrets: This is one of the biggest, most impactful episodes of the series - which is especially impressive, since normally a status quo change this big only occurs in the season finale. Marinette’s mental breakdown is great, showing how much her having to lie, having to run out on people, is affecting her. It showed her propensity for self-sabotage, to just push people away and cut out relationships, if she’s having trouble maintaining them - which is nice foreshadowing for how she treats Chat Noir the rest of the season. And ALYA. Alya deakumatized herself out of sheer willpower, and at the end? At the end, Marinette trusted her with her secret. It was one of Marinette’s biggest character moments. Alya hugging her at the end was amazing.

1. Strike Back: THERE WERE SO MANY PLOT THREADS THIS EPISODE TIED UP. So much foreshadowing and set up throughout the season, so many references, it helped bring the disparate parts of season 4 together. I’ll have to make a list at some point, this season was clearly planned as a whole, with how well most of it wove together for the finale. Felix stole the show, the stakes are higher than ever, and THAT ENDING - we got to see Marinette break down again, worse than she ever has in the past. And how essential Adrien, how essential Chat Noir is, with how he encouraged her in the darkest hour, and how the rest of Paris encouraged her as well. Glad she did acknowledge and apologize for how she’d been pushing Chat away, hiding things from him, and lying to him this season. And even with all that, he stayed. He hugged her. He may not always be thrilled with her, but he NEVER wants her to hurt like that, to suffer like that. AND THE THUNDER CLAP, THE LIGHTNING. SHE FELL FOR HIM EFOFNOWENFOINAFN

Hello there! Oh, multiple questions this time, hm? Well let's see here...

1. I'm afraid I haven't heard of that before. :o Doing a quick search, it appears to be people doing improvised lines over the cutscenes... Hm, in all honesty, I'm not sure if this would appeal to my sense of humor, but I did only look at a small moment of one, so I very well could be wrong. As of right now, I'd say I don't plan to watch them, but I may change my mind at some point in the future.

I am a fan of the Sonic series itself, though! I'd say my favorites are Team Dark- I doubt it's a surprise I'm drawn towards a group with a thief character, haha. It's also kind of astounding to me the sheer amount of similarities Shadow has to Hiei- even down to having a sweet sister in blue. I admit, I do have an extra strong fondness for this character solely because of how much he's like Hiei. :)

2. Haha, I suppose getting the "zoomies" would be an accurate statement. I've always really loved running through nature, and there's something particularly appealing about it when I'm in my fox form. Perhaps it's because of how much bigger the world looks and feels, with the trees towering over me even more than usual. Plus, I love the way the wind flows through my hair, so experiencing that all over my body is quite nice.

Sometimes if I'm feeling a little restless, I'll shift into my fox form just to take a run. I also often get the desire to do so when its snowing, since I spent a lot of my early life in cold climates- especially once I gained my plant manipulation abilities, as I enjoyed training my powers in such environments. Many plants are less inclined to grow and be manipulated with youki in the cold, so I found the added difficulty to be quite fun. So I suppose winter makes me feel quite nostalgic for that time, heh.

3. Oh dear, funniest memory in all of my few thousand years? I think that'd be hard to pin down, and I'm sure there's a good few I can't recall at the moment... So, I'll go for a recent story.

There's been a few times where I've convinced Hiei to play strip poker with me. I'm quite skilled at card games, so I already usually excel against him, but there was one game in particular where I was still fully clothed while he was almost completely naked across from me. Finally he had won one round, and smirked at me as he said "shirt. off." With me being who I am though, I kept full eye contact with him as I slowly slipped off a shoe and tossed it aside, haha. I was almost afraid he was going to burn the cards again, but thankfully he didn't.

That, however, wasn't the moment that made me bust into a fit of laughter. I only explained that as it was surely the catalyst for what happened the next time I had asked him to play strip poker with me. Hiei agreed to play, but in a moment, so I shuffled the cards in the meantime. He was taking longer than I expected, but I could still feel his energy in the house, so I didn't worry about it and just waited for him to return. And when he did, he... well, he looked kinda like this:

Except it looked even more ridiculous, what with it being Hiei, and many of my clothes being much too big for him. I actually laughed so hard it started to hurt. 😂 I went with it for the game since it was too hilarious. And I did get a significant amount of the clothes off of him as we played, but I most certainly didn't win that time, haha.

🏞️ If your OC could travel to anywhere in their world where would they go? Why? If they could live there would they?

She wants to travel all of route 66! Because she thinks itd be fun AND funny considering thats the place her and vince first met. She loves road trips !! she sticks her head out the window and plays I spy the whole time. I dont think shed want to live anywhere else, though. Once shes burrowed a little home its hard to kick her out of it.

❄️ What makes your OC sad, so sad that they can’t help but cry all day? How do they cheer themself up? Does their sadness upset any of their loved ones too?

Its not at all hard to make Jilly cry, its more difficult to KEEP her from crying if she sees something sad. One thing that really gets her insides twisted up is Farzes death (Vincent shot him in the bunker during the one-sided fight to the death) and is convinced that its her fault he died. Has managed to romanticize almost everything else about those few days in the bunker except that. If that wound gets poked shes going to curl in on herself and violently sob over it and tremendous guilt/shame. Theres really no cheering her up besides being held and wrapped up in a blanket until she falls asleep. Hopefully when she wakes up she feels better or her mind has blocked it out again!

🌗 Early mornings or late nights? What do they spend their time doing during these hours?

Late nights definitely. Not a morning person. Night time comes zoomy hours and she thoroughly enjoys those- plus everyone fun is always up at night! She likes going to bars and parties with friends, walking around in parks, chasing birds and stuff. As much as she loves the sun, the moon has its own special allure for her, especially after shes become a were.

She looks uncomfortable and out of place, sticking out like not just a sore but broken thumb from the people dressed in various shades of black around her. The whole thing is, well, Its pretty fucking hilarious. Shes wearing some fucking colorful hawaiian button up, tucked in to high wasted shorts. A god damned fanny pack. It's pink. A pink fucking fanny pack. She manages to- eventually- weave her way through the crowd, muttering out sorry! And just gonna squeeze by ya… the entire way. Someone elbows her side on the way and her drink jostles, spills on her shirt, and she apologizes for some reason as she exits the edge of the crowd. Damn, she smells good. Well, maybe not good, but like something. Something good. It's driving me insane. Has been since I picked up her scent from outside. Farz follows my instructions and picks a fight. She's about his height, not too tall. Auburn hair. She apologizes, even though he was the one who bumped into her. He shoves her and I step in- closer.

“That's enough.”

My voice is louder than I intended and It surprises both of them, somehow. Her eyes go wide as shit and she steps back a little bit. Shes got brown eyes, real pretty. This close I can smell her drink, bourbon. Shit, bourbon? Not what I expected. Shes gone red in the face already. Cute blush. Fuck, this is gonna be fun.

So, since it's Christmas Eve, what were the trankils first Christmas' like?

Oh boy, this is going to be a long one (part 1 because Tumblr’s being a jerk right now and I think it’s overloading the system a bit):

Comet’s very confused about all the lights and shinies dotting the apartment. They wrap one of their little hands around one of the light bulbs, and drop it when it gets too hot. How strange! DJSS puts them in a little elf costume, so they can be “Santa’s little helper” for the holiday. They keep trying to pull off the bells, but it’s fine, DJSS gets plenty of photos before they can tear any off. That Christmas, they get a full stocking of smaller goodies, like candies and cookies, and an assortment of smallish gifts beyond that. An immediate smash hit is the little toy rocket that makes like ten different sounds; they keep mashing the buttons to make weird, almost musical combinations. Thank goodness nobody’s around but them and DJSS, or else someone might have seen the big lug cry a bit.

The Sayu team have a little Christmas party/livestream where they talk to their fans while playing video games and sharing presents. It’s the first time Bunny’s ever really publicly recognized as Sayu’s trankil; by this point, the team’s confident enough to let it be known without people getting too nuts about it. The reception was overall quite positive; “What a Q.T.!” “dude they got little rabbit ears. nice” “Are they always that vicious with the Sayu merch? owo;” Bunny’s only vaguely aware that people are watching them from the camera(s) that the team has set up, but besides that they act about the same as usual; tearing into their gifts and sharpening their budding claws on whatever they’re allowed to. They’re much gentler with the marshmallowy foam toys they’re handed, though. Things get a little out of hand when the team introduces the Christmas bell merch through gifting the first one to Bunny; turns out, they’re a little nuts with the audio stimming! It takes a full five minutes of chasing the little stinker down to get them to stop shaking the devil out of the bell, much to the chat’s amusement. That’s definitely going to be circulating through the Internet for a while.

Thorn’s probably one of the calmest during the whole ordeal, given they’re older and more sober minded compared to a lot of the others. Yinu’s mom is pretty good about explaining human holidays to them, plus a few unique dryad traditions mixed in, such as decorating their branches/hair with traditional Christmas decorations (Yinu’s haven’t grown quite enough to support much, but her mom fits some holly on her head). They couldn’t quite get any ornaments to stay put on Thorn’s horns, though. Yinu’s very eager to introduce Thorn to things like toys, hot cocoa, and Christmas cartoons. They don’t have snow in Malaysia, so she can’t really give them much context for why they have all this white stuff everywhere. Thorn doesn’t get how the Christmas legends have anything to do with half the symbols, but they do very much appreciate the carefree day of food and gifts; they understand that much, at least! It’s on Christmas day that Yinu’s mother informs Thorn that they’ve been enrolled in fencing lessons, “To get all that feisty energy out,” she says while smiling. They’re very excited when they learn what fencing is; they had never had proper nail instruction before, but this would prove an excellent opportunity to learn! Hugs are inevitable by that point. Thorn does gift Yinu a little something, after the big Christmas dinner and being sent to bed; a string from the old piano when it was broken, before it got fixed by Bunk Bed Junction. A silent song, a drop of divinity, and a touch of soul magic, and the string transforms; it lengthens and thickens until it is longer than their mother is tall, the thickest part the width of a human thumb with a handle bound in gilded binding, with a gold rose pommel and pretty bright blue tassel at the handle. Letting the whip unravel onto the ground, Thorn shows the awestruck Yinu a hidden switch; they flip it, and dozens of tiny, golden thorns spring out from the length of the whip. Switching them off, Thorn coils up the weapon and lets its magic go dormant, back to its old broken string form, and hands it to her. It is their first gift, and first blessing; never again would they see their little sister defenseless. Yinu accepts it without words, though not without tears.

Scotty picked up on the hectic energy from the moment they woke up on Christmas Eve. The boys were hiding something, they just knew it! They spotted flashes of brightly colored boxes and funny-looking helmets, but they couldn’t for the life of them figure out what was going on. When they asked Neon J, he went into a very longwinded explanation about holidays and the importance of preparedness in case of attack, and while Scotty would never admit they only half listened, they did. They were especially prone to the zoomies and hand flapping to shake off all the excitement they were getting from the others; they couldn’t help it that the band was literally humming with excitement like overheating computers. When Christmas day arrived, they were shocked and horrified to see that their precious brother figures’ heads had been replaced with those of beasts! The poor kid was traumatized, much to the amusement and guilt of the robots involved. They’re caught hiding behind the curtains in the mansion, with poor Rin trying to coax them out. They did calm down, but it took a lot of cookies and hot chocolate to get them to accept their brothers’ new faces. They got back to being excited when presents got involved, because oh boy, 1010 does not know the meaning of subtle. Rin got them their own child sized DDR game set, since their small size makes it hard to play the grown up version just yet. Haym got them a giant plush rabbit, in case they need to snuggle something a little softer than a metal chasse. Eloni got them some Nerf guns, specifically to cause chaos. Zimelu got them a whole crane machine full of usual crane machine toys, because they love those things (even if they try and climb in). Purlhew got them a bicycle, because he’s the cool brother and that is The Coolest Thing a kid can get for Christmas. Neon J tried to give them an air rifle. It took some serious words with the boys to get it through why they stopped making those for kids (”They’ll shoot their eye out!” “They don’t have eyes, though!?!?”).

(( For Scott - it all comes down to simply moving Miranda’s feelings for him from friendship to wanting something a little more. Which might actually be a little tough! Largely, it’s just because she already associates a lot of friendly, doggy behavior with him, and the best tricks on getting her interested in pursuing a relationship is already a lot of that! And it’ll definitely require some distinction, between his affection with everyone, to his affection with her. If she’s already sure he just acts that way with everyone, then she’s still going to think about him in a friend way, so there has to be something that she can pick up on that makes her feel especially appreciated and loved.

This can be done a lot of ways, but the easiest might be essentially speaking her language. Not language as in any mer languages, since that’s already impossible for most landfolk, but rather, to reach her through avenues that, as a merfolk, she’s already especially keen on! Other ship partners can do this through light ( connecting to her bioluminescence, as an abyssal mer ), or through song and language, or even just sharing in that connection to the ocean. 

But in Scott’s case, it might be easiest to connect with her as a predator. Miranda gets zoomies and wants to bite people for a reason, and that reason is pretty obvious when you consider other merfolk! They’re extremely specialized and dangerous large predators, made to be ambush hunters and are hypersocial to their core. Because of this, they’re actually a really playful type of monster! They tend to run on the energetic side ( though Miranda is an exception to this, due to reasons, and individual variation will always happen ) and they have to keep all of their predatory instincts sharp through the safety of play! It’s something that happens with nearly every predator ( and I do mean nearly every, crocodiles have been observed putting sticks on their heads just for fun and komodo dragons in captivity will play tug of war with their keepers! ), and for social animals, play then becomes an act of strengthening their social bonds, which is a majorly important thing to such a hypersocial species!

As I’ve already alluded to, Miranda is a... special case, when it comes to merfolk. As you might be able to guess, from how physically frail she is in comparison to everyone else being a walking tank. So she needs particular types of play that adjust for that, since she can’t be as easily wrestled with as someone such as Bellanda - and in duality with her particular needs, she also rarely gets to play due to her title and being expected to not do that. On land, she’s already far more playful, as she’s able to let loose a little, without the expectation of the crown, but it’s a need still not fully taken care of! The best bets for this are chew toys ( be prepared to get heavy-duty ones, though ), laser pointers or other moving lights, anything small and fickle that she can chase, playing into her desires as an ambush predator to let her hide and pounce, and anything she can sink her claws into! New situations, and especially situations where she can climb over rocks or similar surfaces and especially swim, are also a really good way to make her feel specially appreciated and loved!

(( That depends! Miranda does like to get a read on others, and then can tailor what she does to them and whatever situations they’re in - but she also gets so caught up in her own denial that she often... tends not to try and woo someone else ( intentionally ) until it’s MUCH too late.

That said... In her unintentional wooing, she her first response is often to try and shower the person she loves in gifts! It’s actually kind of funny - because it’s almost her acting... apologetic, in a way. To her, wealth and money mean nothing. She is rich enough to have never once considered it in her life, and yet she’s been told that’s what’s so important and special about her. She’s rich and powerful, and that’s what sets her apart from everyone else, what is so unique about her. And when you have those two as a duality... she’ll often feel like she’s not enough for the person that she cares for, and in reaction, will immediately try to overcompensate by becoming a sugar princess. It’s not something that ever satisfies her to give, but she’s been told it’s the most important thing to have, and she doesn’t want her friends to go without! So she starts giving more and more, and can be kinda hard to stop, since one million is pocket change to her.

There’s also the aspect of merfolk that’s about claiming. With social bonds being so important to them, to the point that merfolk start to freak out when placed in isolation, showing off those social bonds and clearly marking them is likewise an important part of their culture. At it’s most intimate, it can mean ul’kiha and their tokens, literally giving a piece of themselves to someone who they consider their soulmate and is romantic in nature. At more typical levels, it can mean sharing clothes or jewelry or gifting these items to each other to showcase that bond.

Which is all to say, Miranda will absolutely start stealing Scott’s jacket more and more. For her, it’d probably be unintentional, as her wanting to show off that claim and try to woo him in the sense of roughly saying ‘ I’m yours ’ - but at its more intentional, she might also take to gifting him things that she associates with herself, such as clothing items with gold or pink in them, or even trying to make his stuff smell like her.
