Not Tolkien related, but I'm actually lowkey proud of how this self portrait embroidery is going 🤩 Ignore the eyes being proportionally and directionally "off" lol, and the too-long nose/anatomical mistakes. I'm more focusing on learning "thread painting" techniques than exact and accurate anatomy representation (or at least, that's my excuse 😅)

Also I chose to do a self portrait bc at the time of needing a reference photo to practice embroidered portraits, I have, in fact, the face most readily available to me lol

there are two things i really love and it's plotting and mumus !! i've noticed my muse is so much stronger when i'm writing with a partner who can ✨match my freak✨ and when my charas get to explore a few different connections. so if u wanna maybe plot a little verse with a few different muses, like this and i'll mssg u ? 🫶🏼 click the source to find a lil pinterest inspo for every mumu idea i have. i'll expand a tiny bit underneath the cut, but we can go crazy and do something completely else too !

one. i'm thinking a crime mumu in a city that's been abandoned by authorities bc it's a lost cause. literally just wanna find out what would happen if we both put our worst muses into one place lmao

two. a friend group going camping ? maybe with tents, maybe they're renting a cottage somewhere. i'm thinking roadtrip, s'mores, skinny dipping. or we could go the horror route and maybe one of them is a killer, or they're being hunted by a killer

three. luxury yacht crew ! very below deck – esque. they work their asses off to create the perfect vacation for the worst type of rich people in the world. then they sneak off to steal a jetski in the middle of the night or get completely wasted when the guests get off at the mainland for a day

four. small foggy town where everybody knows everyone and you never get out. that's it. maybe a fitting setting for a supernatural verse if you're into that ?

five. employees at a ski lodge pleeease. they hit the slopes during their breaks and go sledding and play truth or dare in the common room in front of the fire

six. dark academia, we were liars – inspired. an art conservatory for the very privileged, very competitive. a small group of students who are best friends but also bitter rivals. backstabbers and lovers every single one of em

seven. good ol fashioned apocalyptic that we all know and love. muah !

The "Noodle is sexualized" claim

I seen some fans say that Jamie is sexualizing Noodle ever since the Humanz era and honestly:

I don't see it. I mean yeah since Humanz she started showing a little more skin but from how I see it Noodle started embracing her sexuality more since she's an adult now and that's perfectly fine.

BUT that doesn't mean I don't see where those fans are coming from. There's literally a certain fanart in the official Gorillaz art book that shows Noodle's boobs and Noodle feet art made by Jamie himself...

I do believe there are fans who still see her as a little girl which is also why they think this as well but again, I still see where they are coming from.

i’m about the watch the good omens season 2 finale with my extremely offline mother. she hasn’t seen it yet. she doesn’t look at tumblr or any fandom-related social media. she doesn’t read spoilers. so she has no idea. no clue as to what’s coming. and i’m so maliciously excited abt it, i cannot wait to see her reaction(s) mwaahahaha

her breaths are still labored as she descends down the ladder, worsened by the sight of lottie's face, because all she can think about is all the times she looked similar to that. not nearly as bad, of course, not because he didn't want to, but because he couldn't explain it as easily as he could a black eye or a broken arm. most of the others are too shaken to notice, thankfully, but of course, tai notices— too late, it feels like, because mikayla already managed the worst of it on her own upstairs, but admittedly, she's surprised that @ladyintree is paying any attention to her at all.

“ shouldn't you be checking on shauna? ” she means to sound resentful, but she's too tired to sound anything but miserable. since the blizzard, she's felt disregarded, unimportant, except for whenever tai suddenly needed her— something she's far too used to with her father, but not with her, which is why it cuts so deep. a part of her is understanding, knowing that what shauna went through is far worse than just the anxiety of almost losing the only person mikayla's ever loved, but she's still mikayla: still selfish, still dramatic. she's been distancing herself for days, only speaking to check on tai, nothing more, because she knows herself, knows how easy it is for her to lash out when she's hurt, something she's trying desperately not to do here.

but she's less worried about that now, because she's too exhausted to blow up in the typical mikayla desousa fashion; what little energy she had all drained out of her during her panic attack moments ago, leaving her with nothing to fight with, even if she wanted to. “ i think i'm going to check on javi, ” she mumbles, just using it as an excuse, because it's unnecessary— he should be fine, because travis took him away before it got bad, but for once, mikayla doesn't want to focus on herself.
