Not the greatest lighting but i’m progressing on the Cybertronian city while I recover from the excessive eepy. I even checked for a tick, I was starting to get concerned today 😅 just one of those weeks i guess?

Slowly but surely, it’s just smth fun i like to chip away at :] a watercolor base with gouache details on top. Like it’s supposed to be Iacon, i just haven’t gotten to the higher level mansion/palaces up top yet. Im in love with the free flowing base i did tho i defs need to try that again with other colors!!

I’m new here, but I’ve been feeling a bit crazy lately and as such I’ve been wanting to recreate Todd’s “cool guy” jacket from Dirk Gently’s Holistic Detective Agency. I’ve pulled the reference pictures from the auction, but does anybody happen to have good reference pictures for the patches on the jacket sleeves or the pins on the lapels? I would take some from a rewatch but my DVD player is only capable of playing video at a resolution of approximately 3x3 pixels, LOL. Thank you!

I’ve always wanted to try waterproofing fabric with wax, so after a small amount of research, I settled on a half recipe of Nighthawkinlight’s proportions for mineral oil and paraffin wax (1 cup mineral oil to 1 pound paraffin wax).

Melted together in a double boiler, then poured off into silicone cube molds. These cubes can be rubbed into cotton to waterproof them! I’ll try first with my work pants.

In addition to getting away from teflon and other per/polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) for health reasons, we also have to get rid of it because having it on your clothes can be a cross contamination risk when sampling for these compounds, which I do frequently for work.

Have you ever known the ecstacy of needing new pants, being offered your father's old ones he's had since you were a tot and has since outgrown, and slowly realizing they're all your exact hard-to-find size, are in great condition, and most are 100% cotton as opposed to shitty synthetic fibres... yesterday was a good-ass day for my closet. I won't need to buy new pants for years yet unless I gain a lot of weight (or potentially go girlmode, and even then they may still fit)
